01-23-18 | Celtics -5 v. Lakers | Top | 107-108 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 53 m | Show |
At 10:35 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Los Angeles. The Lakers are off back to back SU/ATS wins vs. Indy and the Knicks. Unfortunately, the Lakers are a miserable 26-57 ATS in the regular season off back to back SU/ATS wins, when playing an opponent off a SU loss. With the Celtics, indeed, off a loss (actually 3 losses), we'll lay the points with Brad Stevens' men on Tuesday. Take Boston. NBA Road Warrior Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-18 | Avalanche v. Canadiens -140 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Montreal Canadiens over the Colorado Avalanche. Last night we gave out the Toronto Maple Leafs, going against the red-hot Avs who had won nine in a row. That didn't turn out to be a winning strategy as Colorado made it 10 straight in beating the Leafs by a 4-2 final. Even though they won that game in Toronto, the Avalanche are still just 9-11 away from Denver this season, and Montreal hasn't always been a very friendly place for them. In fact, the last time they met here, the Canadiens embarrassed the Avalanche by racking up double-digit goals in a 10-1 rout. Now, granted, that game was in December of 2016, but it serves as perhaps a warning that a team on a 10-game winning streak just might be vulnerable in what has historically been one of the toughest places in the league for opposing teams. The home team is 6-2 in the last eight meetings. And Montreal's also a super 14-4 off a home loss by more than 2 goals. Take the Canadiens. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-23-18 | Kansas v. Oklahoma -1 | Top | 80-85 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma Sooners over Kansas. We played against the Sooners in their last game, and got the $$$ when the Cowboys upset them, 83-81, in overtime. That was Oklahoma's second straight loss -- both as a 2-point road favorite -- but I love them to bounce back, in Norman, tonight. Oklahoma is 9-0 straight-up at home this season, and 37-21 ATS as a home favorite of -6 or less points (or PK). Take Oklahoma. |
01-23-18 | Oklahoma State v. Texas Tech -9 | Top | 70-75 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Texas Tech Red Raiders minus the points over Oklahoma State. The Cowboys pulled off an upset of their rival, Oklahoma, in Stillwater, on Saturday. I look for a letdown tonight in Lubbock, as Oklahoma State falls into a negative 32-72 ATS system of mine which goes against certain teams off upset wins. Also, the Cowboys are an awful 47-74 ATS off a home conference win, while the Red Raiders are 36-20 ATS at home off a blowout loss by 15+ point (Texas Tech lost, 70-52, at Iowa State on Saturday). Take the Red Raiders. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-18 | Arkansas +1.5 v. Georgia | Top | 80-77 | Win | 100 | 7 h 51 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Arkansas Razorbacks over Georgia. The Bulldogs were blown out by 14 points, 79-65, in their last game at Auburn. They now return home to take on Arkansas. Unfortunately, Georgia falls into a negative 38% ATS system of mine which fades certain home favorites off blowout losses by 14+ points. Take the Razorbacks. |
01-22-18 | Kansas State v. Baylor -4.5 | Top | 90-83 | Loss | -104 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Baylor Bears minus the points over Kansas State. These two teams met in the Big 12 Conference Tournament, and the Wildcats upset the Bears, 70-64, as as 4.5-point underdog. That upset loss has triggered one of my favorite 'revenge' systems tonight, which is 94-44 ATS since 1990. Even better: the Wildcats are an awful 11-32 ATS away from home when priced from +3.5 to +8.5 points, including 2-19 ATS vs. .770 (or worse) opposition. Take Baylor! NCAA Payback Payday. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-18 | Avalanche v. Maple Leafs -170 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -170 | 13 h 14 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Maple Leafs over the Colorado Avalanche. The hottest team in the National Hockey League? Hard to believe, but it's the Colorado Avalanche with nine straight victories coming into tonight. But nine of the last 10 Avs games have been at home. And now they go on the road for their next six games, five of which are in Canada, including tonight's meeting in Toronto. At home in the Pepsi Center, the Avs feature one of the largest differentials in the league (1.12) with a 3.65 Goal-scoring average compared to a 2.54 Goals-against. But away from Denver, that differential changes to -0.47 (2.48 vs. 3.32). Colorado's streak began with a 4-3 overtime win against the Leafs at home but Toronto out-shot Colorado by 34-28 in that game back on December 29. The Avalanche is 16-35 in its last 51 road games against teams with a winning home record and 14-41 in its last 55 road games overall. And it's 1-12 on the road after scoring more than 2 goals in each of its two previous games. Take the Maple Leafs. NHL Elite Info Winner! As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-22-18 | Kings +10.5 v. Hornets | Top | 107-112 | Win | 100 | 2 h 56 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Sacramento Kings + the points over Charlotte. The Kings have dropped their last seven games, and have gone 1-6 ATS over that span. That's the bad news. But the good news is that they are catching double-digits tonight (their lone point spread win in their last seven games was when they were a double-digit underdog), and are also playing with two days' of rest. And NBA Double-Digit underdogs have gone 147-91 ATS in the regular season off a SU/ATS loss, when they were playing with at least two days' of rest, and were also on a 3-game (or worse) losing streak. Take the Kings. NBA Road Warrior Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-18 | North Carolina v. Virginia Tech +5 | Top | 69-80 | Win | 100 | 11 h 50 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Virginia Tech Hokies + the points over North Carolina. The Hokies have been installed as a home underdog tonight. But I look for an upset, as they are 10-2 SU and 5-3 ATS in Blacksburg this season. And Virginia Tech falls into a 129-60 ATS system of mine which plays on certain home underdogs with strong home courts. Even better: the Hokies are a solid 12-1 ATS since 2016 as home underdogs (or PK). And they're 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings vs. North Carolina, including 8-2 ATS when priced from +2.5 to +12.5 points. Take the Hokies + the points. NCAA Roadkill Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-18 | Vikings v. Eagles OVER 38 | Top | 7-38 | Win | 100 | 155 h 28 m | Show |
At 6:40 pm, our selection is on the Over in the Philadelphia/Minnesota game. The Eagles have played three extremely low-scoring games in a row. Last week, they defeated Atlanta, 15-10. Prior to that, they were shut out by Dallas, 6-0, and won 19-10 vs. Oakland. Those three games went 'under' their respective totals by 15, 35 and 17 points. The knee-jerk reaction might be to play on the 'under' in this game, but the Over falls into a 65.3% Totals system of mine which plays on certain teams off Unders to reverse course and play a high-scoring game. Also, the Eagles have gone 'Over' 81% since 1999 off 3 or more Unders, while Playoff favorites (like Minnesota) off a high-scoring playoff game in which more than 51 points were scored, have gone 'Over' the total 64% since 1997. Take the Over. NFL Total of the Week. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-18 | Jaguars v. Patriots OVER 46.5 | Top | 20-24 | Loss | -105 | 152 h 52 m | Show |
At 3:05 pm, our selection is on the Over in the New England/Jacksonville game. We played on the Over last week in both the New England/Tennessee game, and the Jacksonville/Pittsburgh game, and got the cash in each. And we'll come right back with the Over for this game. The Patriots have now gone 8-0-1 Over in their last nine Playoff games at home or on a neutral field! And the Jaguars are currently riding a 4-2 Over streak. Also, since 1988, NFL Playoff teams have gone 'Over' the total 70% of the time after scoring 44+ points in their previous playoff game (and 79% if the Over/Under line was 45+ points). Take the 'Over.' Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-18 | Jaguars v. Patriots -9 | Top | 20-24 | Loss | -105 | 152 h 51 m | Show |
At 3:05 pm, on Sunday, our selection is on the New England Patriots minus the points over Jacksonville. Last week, we played on both Jacksonville and New England, and easily got the $$$ with both. As I mentioned last week, in our analysis of the Tennessee/New England game, in the NFL Playoffs, road underdogs of +3.5 or more points are awful off an upset win (now 39-80-1 ATS). That same angle applies to Jacksonville, here, off its upset win at Pittsburgh. Moreover, the Jaguars fall into a negative 2-23 ATS Playoff system of mine, as well as a 33-88 ATS angle. Finally, favorites priced from -2.5 to -9.5 are 37-19 ATS in the Conference Championship round since 1984. Take the Patriots. Elite Info Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-18 | Flyers v. Capitals -158 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -158 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
At 12:35 pm, our selection is on the Washington Capitals over the Philadelphia Flyers. Philly comes into this game off a win yesterday afternoon vs. New Jersey, while the Capitals had yesterday off following their home loss to Montreal, on Friday. The Caps will be playing with revenge from an 8-2 blowout loss to Philly earlier this season. That game, however, set up very well for Philly, as it was the well-rested team that night (with the previous three days off), while the Caps were unrested. With the tables turned this afternoon, we'll back Washington, which is 20-6 off back to back losses, and 24-8 when playing with revenge from a road loss. Take Washington. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-18 | Penguins v. Sharks -115 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 43 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the San Jose Sharks over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Sharks lost their last game on the road to the red-hot Avalanche. You can bet that the Sharks are happy to be back home at the SAP Center after playing eight of their last nine away from Silicon Valley. San Jose is 13-8 here at home this season vs. just 11-12 on the road, and this game represents a bit of a revenge situation for the Sharks as they lost to the Penguins in the 2016 Stanley Cup finals, four games to two. This season's version of the Penguins appears to be a notch or two below that 2016 team which tallied 48 wins and 104 points. The Pens are 15-8 at home this season but just 10-15 away from the Steel City. The Pens are 3-7 in their last 10 games following a win as well as 2-8 in their last 10 vs. teams from the Western Conference. San Jose allowed five goals in that loss to the Avs and the Sharks are 21-8 in their last 29 after allowing five or more goals in their previous game. Take the Sharks. NHL High Roller Winner. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-20-18 | Charlotte +6.5 v. Florida International | Top | 59-79 | Loss | -108 | 12 h 29 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Charlotte 49ers (rotation #653) + the points over Florida International. The 49ers fall into my favorite NCAA Basketball system, which is 327-189 ATS since 1990. Additionally, the Golden Panthers are a poor 83-113 ATS at home, including 51-74 ATS off a loss. Take the points with Charlotte. Conference USA Game of the Month. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-18 | Wizards -1 v. Pistons | Top | 122-112 | Win | 100 | 17 h 47 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards over Detroit. The Wizards lost at Charlotte on Wednesday, which was its seventh straight point spread defeat. We'll back the Wizards on Friday, as road teams are 74-38 ATS off a loss, if they're rested, and are on a 7-game (or worse) point spread losing streak. Take Washington. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-18 | Golden Knights v. Panthers -107 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 16 h 26 m | Show |
At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Florida Panthers over the Vegas Golden Knights. Tonight, the Golden Knights wrap up their tour of Florida and it might be a bit of a letdown because last night's game against the Lightning in Tampa featured the top two conference teams going against each other. But it wasn't much of a contest as the Knights steamrolled the home team in a 4-1 blowout, so they have to be wary of taking their foot off the gas on back-to-back nights against an apparent inferior opponent. The Panthers did lose their last game at home, 4-2, to the Flames a week ago. But prior to that they won four straight here at the BB&T Center, out-scoring their opponents by 10-4 over those games. There's no denying that the Knights have had an incredible maiden season so far. But at some point, the multitude of injuries will likely catch up to them. Vegas currently has no fewer than seven regulars either on IR, out indefinitely, or questionable due to various maladies. The Panthers are 20-8 in their last 28 games playing on three or more days rest. Take Florida. NHL High Roller Winner. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-18-18 | Santa Clara +11 v. San Francisco | Top | 65-62 | Win | 100 | 17 h 53 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our selection is on the Santa Clara Broncos + the points over the San Francisco Dons. Santa Clara was blown out, 84-50, at home by BYU in its last game. But it's a super 38-13 ATS in the regular season away from home off a loss by more than 10 points. And it also falls into a 73-26 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off back to back SU/ATS losses. Take the Broncos + the points. |
01-18-18 | Wolves +5 v. Rockets | Top | 98-116 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 3 m | Show |
At 9:35 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Timberwolves + the points over Houston. The T-Wolves were upset in their last game by the Orlando Magic, 108-102, as an 8.5 point favorite. And Orlando had lost its last seven games going into that contest, while Minny was on a 5-game win streak! So, it's likely the Timberwolves were looking past the Magic, and forward to this game, tonight, vs. the 2nd-seeded Rockets. We'll play on the T-Wolves, as NBA teams off an upset loss (as a 6-point, or greater favorite) to a team on a 7-game (or worse) losing streak, have cashed 62% in the regular season since 1990, including 24-8, 75% ATS vs. foes with a .650 (or better) win percentage. Take Minnesota. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-18-18 | Michigan v. Nebraska +5.5 | Top | 52-72 | Win | 100 | 4 h 8 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Nebraska Cornhuskers + the points over Michigan. The Wolves are ranked among the Top 25, with a 16-4 SU and 11-8 ATS record, but will have a tough time, tonight, in Lincoln. Nebraska's been exceptionally strong at home this season, as it's 10-1 SU and 7-2 ATS on the year. The Huskers are a perfect 2-0 ATS this season as home underdogs, as they lost by 1 (getting 12) vs. Kansas, and then also upset Minnesota, 78-68, as a 9-point home dog. Since 1990, Nebraska's a super 63% ATS as home underdogs vs. conference foes with a winning ATS record, including 19-6 ATS if the 'Huskers were off an ATS loss. With Nebraska, indeed, off a point spread defeat this past Monday vs. Illinois, we'll grab the points with Nebraska. NCAA Roadkill Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-18-18 | Coastal Carolina +1 v. South Alabama | Top | 57-60 | Loss | -108 | 14 h 14 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers over South Alabama. The Chanticleers have lost their last five games SU/ATS. But I love them tonight, as they fall into a 383-238 ATS system of mine, which plays on certain teams with poor records. Even better: the Jaguars have covered just 33% at home over the past 28 years vs. foes off 3 SU/ATS losses. Take Coastal Carolina. |
01-18-18 | Virginia v. Georgia Tech +8.5 | Top | 64-48 | Loss | -108 | 14 h 52 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets + the points over Virginia. The Yellow Jackets have won their last four games, straight-up, and have covered the spread in their last five. That bodes well for them as a home underdog, as home dogs are 45-13 ATS off 3 SU/ATS wins if they own a winning ATS record, and their foe is also off a SU/ATS win. Take Georgia Tech. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-18-18 | Stars v. Blue Jackets -110 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 59 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Columbus Blue Jackets over the Dallas Stars. The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for the Columbus Blue Jackets who had lost back to back games to two of the worst teams in the league -- the Canucks and Sabres -- back on January 11 and 12. And those two games weren't really close (5-2 and 3-1 respectively). So having extra time to regroup, reload, and forget about those awful defeats can only be a good thing for a team that's still just six points behind the first-place Capitals. This will be the second meeting of these two teams already for 2018 (they didn't meet at all in 2017). The puck usually bounces in Columbus' direction in this match-up as the Jackets are 4-0 in the last four meetings and 8-2 in the last 10. There's another reason why the time off should serve the Jackets well: they are 9-1 in their last 10 games when playing on three or more days' rest. Take Columbus. NHL Roadkill. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-17-18 | Fresno State +7.5 v. San Diego State | Top | 77-73 | Win | 100 | 18 h 45 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our selection is on the Fresno St Bulldogs (rotation #785) plus the points over San Diego St. The Bulldogs are on a seven-game ATS losing streak. But in none of those games were they a road underdog. And that's Fresno's best point spread role, as it's 48-23 ATS its last 71 as a road dog. Moreover, Fresno St falls into a 154-88 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off 6+ ATS defeats. Take the Bulldogs. NCAA Road Warrior Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-18 | Penguins v. Ducks -120 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 59 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the Anaheim Ducks over the Pittsburgh Penguins. It's been a rough week for the Pittsburgh Sports scene. The Steelers were upset in their first-round playoff game at home by the Jags, while the Pirates traded two of their best -- and most popular -- players (Cole and McCutchen) virtually guaranteeing losing seasons on the horizon. Of course , the Steel City still has the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champion Penguins. But right now a return to the post-season -- never mind a three-peat -- is far from certain for the Pens, who were very inconsistent in the first half. They've played better of late, winning four in a row coming into tonight, but inter-conference match-ups have presented a challenge this season as they are just 6-13 vs. West teams. The Ducks will be happy to return home after a tough, five-game road trip that saw them go just 2-3. Pittsburgh's #1 goalie Matt Murray has missed two games due to a personal matter and is questionable for tonight. The home team is 13-6 in the last 19 meetings.  Take Anaheim. NHL High Roller Winner. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-17-18 | Utah State +11 v. Boise State | Top | 67-71 | Win | 100 | 16 h 46 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Utah State Aggies (rotation #767) + the points over Boise St. Utah State is off back to back SU/ATS losses. But those two defeats have triggered a 382-205 ATS system of mine which plays on certain underdogs off back to back SU/ATS losses. And the Broncos are also a poor 1-8 ATS as double-digit favorites vs. foes off back to back SU/ATS losses. Take Utah St. |
01-17-18 | Iowa State v. TCU -10.5 | Top | 73-96 | Win | 100 | 16 h 46 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the TCU Horned Frogs (rotation #764) minus the points over Iowa St. Jamie Dixon's men have suffered three straight close losses -- by 4, 1 and 5 points. Those defeats have lowered the Horned Frogs' record to 13-4. But I love them to rebound at home, tonight, as a double-digit favorite vs. the Cyclones, as they've covered 67% since 1990 as a favorite off back-to-back losses vs. conference foes off a SU/ATS win. Take the Horned Frogs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-18 | St. John's +12.5 v. Xavier | Top | 82-88 | Win | 100 | 15 h 27 m | Show |
At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the St Johns Red Storm (rotation #761) + the points over Xavier. The Johnnies have lost six straight games, but I love them to bounce back tonight, as they fall into a 180-86 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off losses. Also, St Johns is 24-11 ATS as an underdog of +11 or more points off a loss when playing a foe off a win. Grab the points with the underdog Red Storm. |
01-17-18 | Duquesne v. St. Louis -4 | Top | 63-76 | Win | 100 | 15 h 47 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the St Louis Billikens (rotation #758) minus the points over Duquesne. St Louis lost, 86-81, last Saturday at George Mason. But the Billikens generally bounce back off losses, and they're a perfect 12-0 ATS the past two seasons off a road loss. Take St Louis. |
01-17-18 | Wizards +1.5 v. Hornets | Top | 109-133 | Loss | -103 | 14 h 48 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards over Charlotte. The Wizards have dropped their last six games to the point spread, including an upset loss at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. I love Washington to rebound tonight, as it falls into a 94-36 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams in division games to bounce back off upset losses. Also, the Wizards are a fantastic 21-10 ATS on the road in the regular season when playing with revenge, including 4-1 ATS in division games. And they're 13-3 ATS their last 16 as underdogs. Take Washington. NBA Division Game of the Month. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-18 | Auburn v. Alabama +1.5 | Top | 71-76 | Win | 100 | 14 h 48 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Alabama Crimson Tide (rotation #746) over Auburn.  The Tigers have won 14 straight (and have covered their last four) heading into this game at rival Alabama. But I look for the Tide to snap that win streak tonight, as it falls into a 93-48 ATS 'contrarian' system of mine which goes against certain 'hot' teams. The Crimson Tide are also 6-0 ATS as a home underdog vs. foes off back to back SU/ATS wins. Take Alabama. |
01-16-18 | Ole Miss v. Texas A&M -10 | Top | 69-71 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 57 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Texas A&M Aggies minus the points over Ole Miss. Texas A&M comes into this game off five straight losses. But the Aggies are a super 49-16 ATS off a loss vs. foes not off a SU/ATS loss, if the Aggies are at home or on a neutral court, and have a .440 (or better) win percentage. Lay the points with A&M. |
01-16-18 | Pittsburgh v. Syracuse -16.5 | Top | 45-59 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 55 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Syracuse Orange minus the points over Pitt. The Panthers have been poor over the last 28 years as underdogs of more than 16 points, as they've covered just 18 percent of the time. Meanwhile, Syracuse is 37-20 ATS in Conference play when it didn't own a winning conference record (Syracuse is currently 1-4 in ACC play). Finally, the Orange fall into a 68-27 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams on 4-game (or worse) losing streaks, and they're 10-2 ATS at home vs. conference foes. Take Syracuse. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-16-18 | Devils -110 v. Islanders | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 3 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New Jersey Devils over the New York Islanders. With a 5-4 overtime victory in Montreal last night, the Islanders have now won three games in a row after losing five straight prior to that. The Devils on the other hand are in the midst of their worst stretch of the season, having lost six straight after dropping a home game to Flyers on Saturday. That losing streak includes an overtime, shoot-out defeat to this Isles club about a week ago, 5-4 right here in New York. But the Devils may have been more unlucky than anything in that loss as they put a whopping 46 shots on goal against the Isles (while facing 38) and they will win most of the time when they do that. In fact, three of New Jersey's six losses during this streak have come in OT or SO. The Devils will look to get the monkey off their back as they head back to Barclays Center tonight for a little revenge. The travel from Montreal to Brooklyn shouldn't be a big deal, but this has not been an ideal situation for the Isles who are 1-4 in their last five games when playing on zero days' rest. Meanwhile, New Jersey is 15-5 off a home game this season, including 5-3 off a home loss. Take the Devils. NHL Game of the Month. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |

01-16-18 | Vanderbilt +4.5 v. Mississippi State | Top | 62-80 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 55 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Vanderbilt Commodores + the points over Mississippi State. Vanderbilt certainly hasn't made many friends in Las Vegas this season, as it's 1-13 ATS. On the other hand, Mississippi State has been barely much better, as it's 3-9 ATS on the year. We'll grab the points with the Commodores, as they fall into 26-0 and 81-32 ATS systems of mine which play on certain teams off SU/ATS losses. And it also falls into a 57-17 ATS angle of mine which plays on certain SEC Conference teams off 4+ ATS losses. Take Vanderbilt. |
01-15-18 | Illinois +5.5 v. Nebraska | Top | 63-64 | Win | 100 | 14 h 21 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Illinois Illini + the points over Nebraska, as Illinois falls into 23-1, 179-86 and 18-0 ATS systems of mine. The Illini come into this game off three straight losses -- all in Conference play -- to Minnesota, Michigan and Iowa. But Illinois is a fantastic 12-3 ATS on the road off 3+ losses. And it's also 5-1 ATS this season off an ATS loss. Meanwhile, Nebraska's covered just 36% over the past 20 years off 4+ ATS wins. Take Illinois. Big 10 Game of the Month. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-15-18 | Duke v. Miami-FL +4 | Top | 83-75 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 12 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Miami Florida Hurricanes + the points over Duke. Miami comes into this game with a 13-3 record, and has been installed as a home underdog vs. Duke. We'll grab the points with Miami, as it falls into a 64-33 ATS "Power Home Dog" angle of mine which plays on certain strong teams when catching points at home. Additionally, Miami's a strong 135-95 ATS as an underdog. Take the Hurricanes + the points. NCAA Roadkill Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-15-18 | Sharks v. Kings -125 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -125 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
At 4:05 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Kings over the San Jose Sharks. We're used to seeing one of both of these teams near the top of the standings in their Division. But there is a New Kid in town this season out West as the Vegas Golden Knights not only lead the Pacific, but are out in front in the Western Conference. But that doesn't mean a game between the Sharks and Kings won't be intense and important. The Kings come into this afternoon having lost three straight, while the Sharks had lost three in a row before winning their last game, 6-5 at home. And while breaking a three-game losing streak by scoring six goals may sound like a breakthrough, it should be noted that that game was against the lowly Arizona Coyotes (the worst team in the NHL) and the Sharks needed overtime to get the W. Their biggest problem is that they have now allowed 25 goals in their last six games and that doesn't bode well against a very good offensive team like the Kings. The Sharks are 3-14 in their last 17 road games vs. teams with a winning home record. Take L.A. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-15-18 | Heat +1.5 v. Bulls | Top | 111-119 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 46 m | Show |
At 3:35 pm, our selection is on the Miami Heat over the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls come into this game off back to back upset wins over the Knicks and Pistons. But those two upsets have set up Chicago in several negative systems of mine which go against losing teams off back to back upsets. Moreover, Chicago's a poor 67-97 ATS at home off an upset win, while Miami's a solid 33-17 ATS as a road underdog. Take the Heat. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-14-18 | NC State v. Virginia -15 | Top | 51-68 | Win | 100 | 14 h 4 m | Show |
At 6 pm, our selection is on the Virginia Cavaliers minus the points over NC State. The Wolfpack pulled off back to back upsets in their last two games -- 78-77 over Clemson (which was 13-1) and 96-85 over Duke (which was 13-1). But both of those games were at home, in Raleigh. Today's game is at Charlottesville. And NC State was blown out (by scores of 78-62 and 88-58) in its only two road games this season. Even worse: NCAA teams have covered just 31% since 1990 (at Game 18 forward) if they upset two .833 (or better) teams in their two previous games. Take Virginia. NCAA Roadkill. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-14-18 | Saints v. Vikings OVER 45.5 | Top | 24-29 | Win | 100 | 108 h 52 m | Show |
At 4:40 pm, on Sunday, our selection is on the 'over' in the Minnesota/New Orleans game, as it falls into 46-19, 47-15 and 96-57 Totals systems of mine. The Saints are averaging over 28 points per game this season. And in the NFL playoffs, teams that average more than 27.45 ppg have gone 'Over' the total 62.26% of the time when the over/under line is more than 43 points. Additionally, New Orleans is 9-2 'Over' its last 11 when the line was between 42 and 49 points. And Playoff games where at least one team is rested have gone 'over' the total 57% since 1980. This will be a high-scoring game. Take the 'over.' NFL Total of the Year! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-14-18 | Flames v. Hurricanes -115 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
At 3:05 pm, our selection is on the Carolina Hurricanes over the Calgary Flames. The Hurricanes come into this game against the red-hot Flames (no pun intended) having just split a home-and-home series with the Caps -- but not in the way you would expect.  First, the 'Canes went into DC and beat the Caps on their home ice -- breaking their 10-game winning streak there. But then they came home and lost a close one to them the following night. But no doubt Carolina wishes it could have the last four minutes of that one back as the Caps got two very late goals, including the game winner with under one second to play in regulation. So the Canes will take out their frustration back home this afternoon against a Flames squad that has won six straight coming into this afternoon match-up. The home team is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings of these two teams while the Canes are 10-4 in their last 14 home games vs. teams with a winning road record. Take Carolina. NHL Game of the Week. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-14-18 | Jaguars +7.5 v. Steelers | Top | 45-42 | Win | 100 | 9 h 12 m | Show |
At 1:05 pm, our selection is on the Jacksonville Jaguars + the points over Pittsburgh. The Jaguars come into today's game off three straight point spread defeats. That will keep many bettors off Jacksonville. But not me. Indeed, since 1984, NFL Playoff teams have cashed 15 of 19 if they were on a 3-game (or worse) ATS losing streak, provided they were not favored by 3 or more points. And if their opponent was off back to back wins, then our system zooms to 11-1 ATS. Jacksonville also falls into 30-1 and 82-22 ATS systems of mine. Take the Jags + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-14-18 | Jaguars v. Steelers OVER 41 | Top | 45-42 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
At 1:05 pm, our selection is on the 'Over' in the Pittsburgh/Jacksonville game. In the Jaguars' last game, they managed to score just 10 points, in a 10-3 win. That game's combined point total of 13 points will keep many bettors off the 'Over' here, but that knee-jerk reaction will more than likely be the wrong move. Indeed, NFL games have gone 'Over' in 46 of 70 games, with Over/Under lines less than 43 points, if one of the teams played a game the previous week which didn't total 14+ points. Moreover, the Steelers are 26-8 'Over' the total in the Playoffs when the line was less than 47 points, including 13-0 'Over' since Jan. 11, 1998 when they played at home, or on a neutral field. And the Jags have gone 'Over' the total 44 of 71 when the Over/Under line was 44 or less, and the Jags went 'Under' the total in their previous game. Finally, the Over falls into a 51-24 Playoff Totals system of mine. Take the 'Over.' NFL Elite Info Totals Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Nuggets v. Spurs -7 | Top | 80-112 | Win | 100 | 7 h 12 m | Show |
At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs minus the points over Denver. The Nuggets played last night (and won), while the Spurs had Friday night off. That sets up our play tonight, as San Antone is a perfect 16-0 ATS since February 2010, if they're not laying more than 10 points vs. an unrested foe, and the Spurs failed to cover the spread by more than 8 points in their previous game. With the Spurs off a double-digit upset loss to the Lakers, we'll look for San Antone to rebound tonight. Lay the points. NBA High Roller Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Titans v. Patriots OVER 47 | Top | 14-35 | Win | 100 | 65 h 38 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, our selection is on the 'Over' in the New England/Tennessee game. The Patriots have played 15 home playoff games over the last 11 seasons. And just three of those 15 games have gone 'Under' the total! That bodes well for this being a high-scoring game. Additionally, the 'Over' falls into a 61-29 Totals system of mine. Take the 'Over.' Good luck, as always…Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Titans v. Patriots -13 | Top | 14-35 | Win | 100 | 65 h 37 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, on Saturday, our selection is on the New England Patriots minus the points over Tennessee. Last week, the Titans came back from an 18-point deficit to stun the Kansas City Chiefs, 22-21, as an 8.5-point underdog. Unfortunately, since 1982, in the NFL Playoffs, road underdogs of +3.5 or more points are an awful 39-77-1 ATS off an upset win. That doesn’t bode well for the Titans on Saturday. Nor does the fact that the Patriots are 6-0 straight-up and 5-1 ATS at home in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs the past six seasons. Finally, over the past 26 years, NFL double digit road underdogs, with a win percentage less than .700, have covered just 4 of 24 Playoff games, including 0-7 ATS the past seven seasons. Take New England. |
01-13-18 | Louisiana-Monroe +15.5 v. UL-Lafayette | Top | 48-82 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 16 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks (rotation #647) + the points over La Lafayette. La Monroe was upset, 79-73, by Appalachian State last Saturday. However, it's a super 9-1 ATS on the road off an upset loss! It's also 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in this rivalry. And it falls into a 526-387 ATS system of mine which plays on certain double-digit conference underdogs off SU/ATS home losses. Take the points with Monroe. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Flyers v. Devils -120 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -120 | 13 h 23 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New Jersey Devils over the Philadelphia Flyers. To say the the Devils have been a streaky team of late would be a huge understatement. In their last 10 games -- going back almost a month -- the Devils have won five in a row (December 15 - 27) followed by a five-game losing streak heading into tonight. Obviously, they're hoping to begin another string of victories, and with the Flyers coming to town they have a very good chance to do just that. The Flyers come in having won three straight, but two of those were against the Islanders and Sabres, the two cellar-dwellers in the Eastern Conference. Prior to the win streak, the Flyers had lost four of five. More importantly for tonight, Philly is just 8-11 on the road this season. And the Flyers #1 D-man, Shayne Gostisbehere, has been battling an illness and will likely not be available for this game. The Flyers are 4-11 in the last 15 meetings with the Devils in New Jersey and the home team is 4-1 in the last five meetings, overall. Moreover, the Devils are 53-24 at home off 3+ losses. Take the Devils. NHL Roadkill. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Furman v. Wofford +1.5 | Top | 70-79 | Win | 100 | 3 h 2 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Wofford Terriers (rotation #702) over Furman. The Paladins have covered seven straight games. But this ATS hot streak has set them up in several negative systems of mine, including one which is 25-72 ATS. We'll take Wofford here, at home, on Saturday, as the Terriers are 25-11 ATS in their last 36 lined games. And Wofford's also 17-6 SU and 16-7 ATS vs. Furman since 2007, including 9-2 ATS at home. Take Wofford. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Oregon State +12 v. Arizona State | Top | 75-77 | Win | 100 | 12 h 16 m | Show |
At 6 pm, our selection is on the Oregon State Beavers (rotation #617) + the points over Arizona State. We've gone against the Sun Devils three times in the past two weeks, and have won each of those three plays. We'll go against Arizona State, once again, on Saturday, as I continue to believe it is overvalued following its 12-0 start to the season. It's now lost three of its last four games (with 0 ATS wins in those four games). And it falls into a negative 341-500 ATS system of mine. Moreover, Oregon State is a fantastic 28-11-1 ATS as an underdog of more than 7 points vs. foes off upset losses. Take the Beavers. |
01-13-18 | Falcons v. Eagles +3 | Top | 10-15 | Win | 100 | 84 h 38 m | Show |
At 4:35 pm, on Saturday, our selection is on the Philadelphia Eagles + the points over Atlanta. The Eagles are the #1 seed in the NFC, but stumbled into the playoffs with three straight ATS defeats to end the season, including a 6-0 shutout loss in their final game. The knee-jerk reaction might be to play against Philly. But NFL teams have gone 10-0 ATS in their initial playoff game, if they lost against the point spread in their last three regular season games; they weren't favored by 3+ points; and their foe was NOT off back to back ATS losses. Additionally, the Eagles fall into 76-16, 29-1 and 81-22 ATS systems of mine. Finally, home underdogs are a solid 24-13 ATS in the Playoffs, while home teams are 12-1 ATS off shutout home losses, when matched up against foes off SU/ATS wins. Take Philly + the points. NFL Game of the Week. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-18 | Falcons v. Eagles OVER 41 | Top | 10-15 | Loss | -109 | 61 h 48 m | Show |
At 4:35 pm, our selection is on the 'Over' in the Atlanta/Philadelphia game. The Falcons have gone 'Under' in six straight games. But this should be a relatively high-scoring game, as NFL teams have gone 'Over' in 141 of 250 games off 5+ 'Unders' when the line was 42 or less points. Take the 'Over.' |
01-13-18 | Troy State -1.5 v. South Alabama | Top | 79-64 | Win | 100 | 11 h 39 m | Show |
At 4:05 pm, our selection is on the Troy State Trojans (rotation #589) minus the points over South Alabama. Troy is off a loss to Sun Belt Conference foe Texas State, 57-56, but I love it to bounce back this afternoon. Troy is 9-1 ATS off a conference defeat, and 31-22 ATS away from home off back to back losses. And it also falls into one of my favorite College Basketball systems, which is a super 325-189 ATS since 1990. Take Troy. |
01-13-18 | Oregon v. Arizona -9 | Top | 83-90 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Arizona Wildcats (rotation #540) minus the points over Oregon. We played on the Ducks in their last game -- a 76-72 upset win of Arizona State, as an 8-point underdog. But off that upset win, we'll fade the Ducks, who fall into a negative 33-71 ATS system of mine which goes against certain teams off upset wins. Also, the Wildcats are a solid 35-21 ATS at home vs. foes off upset wins, including 13-4 ATS if such foe was an underdog of +7 or more points in its previous game. Take Arizona. |
01-13-18 | Bowling Green v. Akron -3 | Top | 78-80 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Akron Zips (rotation #548) minus the points over Bowling Green. The Zips have dropped their three previous games, and are 0-3 in Mid-American Conference play, but I love them to break into the MAC Conference win column this afternoon. Indeed, MAC Conference home favorites have cashed 62% since 1991 if their Conference record was 0-3 or worse. Take Akron. |
01-12-18 | Jets v. Blackhawks -106 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the Chicago Blackhawks over Winnipeg. We played against the Blackhawks on Wednesday, and got the $$$ when the Wild pulled the upset here at United Center. But Chicago had won its two previous games by a combined score of 12-3, and I look for it to bounce back tonight, at home. Chicago and Winnipeg already met once this season in Winnipeg, and the 'Hawks walloped Winnipeg, 5-1. The Jets are a dismal 0-7 this season when playing with revenge from a home loss, and are also 15-30 off back to back wins. Take Chicago to snap Winnipeg's 3-game win streak tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-12-18 | Marquette v. Butler -4.5 | Top | 83-94 | Win | 100 | 3 h 59 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, our selection is on the Butler Bulldogs minus the points over Marquette. The Bulldogs have lost their last three games -- both SU and ATS -- while, Marquette has gone 3-1 SU and 3-0-1 ATS in its last four games. But we'll lay the points with Butler this evening, as the Bulldogs fall into a 231-146-7 ATS system of mine which plays on certain favorites (or PK) off 3 straight defeats. Additionally, the Bulldogs are a terrific 10-0 ATS at home off 3 straight ATS losses, if they also lost their previous game straight-up. Lay it. NCAA Roadkill. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-11-18 | Oregon +8 v. Arizona State | Top | 76-72 | Win | 100 | 19 h 39 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Oregon Ducks + the points over Arizona State. After opening the season with 12 straight wins, the Sun Devils have come back down to Earth a bit, and have lost two of their last three games (though they did win at Utah last Sunday). I look for the Sun Devils to continue their decline tonight, as they fall into a negative 224-331 ATS system of mine. Moreover, the Ducks are an exceptional 40-19 ATS in Pac-12 Conference games, including 11-0 ATS their last 11 vs. opponents off a SU road win. Take Oregon. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-11-18 | NC-Wilmington +9.5 v. Elon | Top | 80-78 | Win | 100 | 15 h 25 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the NC Wilmington Seahawks + the points over Elon. Wilmington has dropped its last two games, and is off to a 1-3 start in Colonial Athletic Ass'n play to start the conference season, while Elon is 3-1 following a blowout of Hofstra last Sunday. However, the Seahawks have been dominant as a road underdog (or PK) vs. Conference foes off a win. Since 1991, they've gone 50-29-1 ATS, including 19-5 ATS if they lost their two previous games. Take Wilmington. |
01-11-18 | James Madison +9 v. William & Mary | Top | 82-89 | Win | 100 | 15 h 25 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the James Madison Dukes + the points over William & Mary. The Tribe comes into this game off four straight wins (and five straight covers). But their play this season has placed them in a negative 238-379 ATS system of mine. Even worse: William & Mary is an awful 93-129 (41%) ATS vs. conference foes that failed to cover the spread in their previous game. With James Madison off a 13-point loss at Northeastern (as a 9.5-point underdog), we'll grab the points with the Dukes. |
01-10-18 | CS-Northridge +12.5 v. Long Beach State | Top | 70-80 | Win | 100 | 18 h 38 m | Show |
At 10:30 pm, our selection is on the Cal State Northridge Matadors + the points over Long Beach State. The Matadors were blown out at home, 65-46, by Hawaii last Saturday. However, Big West Conference teams are 26-7 ATS as Conference underdogs of +9 or more points off a SU/ATS home loss. Additionally, the Matadors fall into a 496-341 ATS system of mine. Take Northridge + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-10-18 | UNLV -9 v. Air Force | Top | 81-76 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 8 m | Show |
At 10:00 pm, our selection is on the UNLV Rebels minus the points over Air Force. The Rebels were upset, 85-78, as a 9.5-point favorite by Utah State last Saturday. But UNLV is a terrific 24-12 ATS in Conference games off an upset loss as a 4.5-point (or greater) favorite. Lay the points with UNLV. |
01-10-18 | LSU v. Arkansas -9 | Top | 75-54 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 8 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Arkansas Razorbacks minus the points over LSU. The Razorbacks dropped two SEC Conference road games last week, at Miss State and at Auburn, to fall to 1-2 in Conference play, while LSU checks in off an upset win at Texas A&M. But I love Mike Anderson's men to rebound tonight, at home, in Fayetteville. Arkansas is 58-38 ATS at home off an SEC Conference loss. And it's 38-22 ATS at home off back to back losses. Meanwhile, LSU's an awful 11-27 ATS off a win since March 4, 2015, including 1-7 ATS on the road. And it's 0-7 ATS its last seven off an upset win. Take Arkansas. |
01-10-18 | Wild +110 v. Blackhawks | Top | 2-1 | Win | 110 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Wild over the Chicago Blackhawks. Both of the these teams played games last night, and had to travel overnight, back to Chicago for this game. The Hawks had a much easier time of their game in Ottawa last night than did Minnesota, at home, vs. Calgary. The Senators played little defense, and allowed Chicago to score at will in an 8-2 blowout. The Wild didn't have it so easy, as they matched up against a pretty good Flames team and lost a tough one in overtime, 3-2. With Chicago's #1 goalie Corey Crawford still out with an injury, the 'Hawks will turn to #3 on their depth chart in goal tonight -- the little known Jeff Glass. Glass is a bit of an anomaly in the NHL -- a 32-year-old first-year rookie. Drafted by Ottawa in 2004, Glass played in the Minors for several seasons before signing a contract to play in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for years. Having now signed with Chicago, Glass's NHL career is off to a shaky start (a 3.51 GAA in four games). The road team is 5-2 in the last seven meetings of these two teams, and Minny is 7-1 off back to back losses this season. Take the Wild. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-10-18 | Fordham v. St Bonaventure -14.5 | Top | 61-77 | Win | 100 | 14 h 11 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the St Bonaventure Bonnies minus the points over Fordham. The Bonnies come into tonight's game off back to back upset losses -- at Dayton and St Josephs -- and now sit with a 1-2 Conference record. St Bonaventure was projected to finish 2nd in the Conference this season (in a preseason poll of Atlantic 10 coaches and media), so I expect it to be in an ornery mood tonight. We'll lay the points with St Bonaventure, as it falls into 134-76 and 55-17 ATS systems of mine which play on certain teams off losses. Moreover, the Bonnies are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games vs. Fordham. And the Rams are a dismal 45-80-4 ATS as underdogs away from home, if they didn't lose their two previous games. Take St Bonaventure. NCAA Hoops Elite Info Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-10-18 | Youngstown State v. Oakland -15.5 | Top | 82-95 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 10 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Oakland Golden Grizzlies minus the points over Youngstown State. Last year, the Penguins shocked Oakland, 81-80, as a 13.5-point underdog, to knock out the Grizzlies from the Horizon League Tournament. But you know what they say about "Paybacks." We'll lay the points with Oakland tonight, as double-digit home favorites have cashed 62% since 1991 when playing with revenge from a loss as a 13-point (or greater) favorite the previous season. Moreover, the Grizzlies are 20-7 ATS their last 29 when playing with revenge. Take Oakland. Horizon League Game of the Month! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-10-18 | UCF v. Connecticut +1 | Top | 53-62 | Win | 100 | 14 h 9 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Connecticut Huskies over Central Florida. The Knights come into tonight's game with eight wins in their last 11 games. And they've gone 7-0 ATS in those 11 contests (with four non-lined games). Unfortunately, its 7-game ATS win streak has set the Knights up in negative 48-90 and 156-208 ATS systems of mine. UConn has also won the last seven meetings, straight-up, and has gone 6-1 ATS in those games. Take the Huskies. |
01-10-18 | Northern Iowa +1.5 v. Indiana State | Top | 67-69 | Loss | -101 | 14 h 9 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Northern Iowa Panthers over Indiana State. The Panthers have dropped their last six games -- both SU and ATS -- but should snap their losing streak tonight at Indiana State. The underdog is 35-17 ATS in this series, including 14-2 ATS when getting less than 4 points. Also, Northern Iowa falls into a 153-87 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams on ATS losing streaks. Take the Panthers + the points. |
01-09-18 | San Jose State +22 v. San Diego State | Top | 49-85 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 19 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our selection is on the San Jose State Spartans + the points over San Diego State. Mountain West Conference underdogs of more than 13 points are a sensational 88-37 ATS if their opponent won their previous two games. Moreover, the Aztecs have been dreadful over the last 28 years as conference favorites of -13 or more points, as they've cashed just 32.3% of the time. Take San Jose State + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-09-18 | Iowa State +16 v. Kansas | Top | 78-83 | Win | 100 | 16 h 19 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Iowa State Cyclones + the points over Kansas. The Cyclones have opened Big 12 play with an 0-3 SU/ATS record, while Kansas is 2-1 SU/ATS. But we'll grab the points with ISU, as it has cashed 79% as an underdog since 1990, if it's off back-to-back SU/ATS losses, and its opponent is off a SU/ATS win. Take Iowa State. |
01-09-18 | Blazers v. Thunder -8.5 | Top | 117-106 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 28 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma City Thunder minus the points over Portland. The Thunder were upset by Portland earlier this season, and also come into this game off an upset defeat, at Phoenix. We'll lay the points with the Thunder tonight, as favorites have cashed 58% in the Regular Season since 1990, if they were upset in their previous game, and playing with revenge from an upset loss earlier in the season to a division rival which won its previous game. And over the past 15 seasons, the Thunder are also 67% ATS as a favorite of -8+ points, if the Thunder lost by double-digits in their previous game. Take the Thunder minus the points. NBA Payback Payday. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-09-18 | Flames v. Wild -135 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -135 | 15 h 27 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Wild over the Calgary Flames. Just like the Vikings over in the NFL, Minnesota has a very good hockey team, for sure. But if the Wild is going to make another decent run at a Cup this season, it's going to have to improve dramatically in one key area -- winning on the road. Minny has one of the largest home/road differentials in the league, and that bias has been on full display over the Wild's last eight games. In those contests, the Wild has gone 4-0 at home (out-scoring the opposition by 19-7) and 0-4 on the road (while getting out-scored 17-4). The last game was a 7-2 embarrassment in Colorado on Saturday. Fortunately, Minnesota is back home tonight to face a team that is virtually a .500 club no matter where it plays. The Flames are 21-20, with a 12-11 record at home and a 9-9 record elsewhere. But they've struggled here in recent meetings, winning just two of the last seven times they've played at the Xcel Energy Center. The Wild is 5-0 in its last five games coming off of a loss of three or more goals. Take Minnesota. NHL Roadkill Winner. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-09-18 | Syracuse +9.5 v. Virginia | Top | 61-68 | Win | 100 | 15 h 20 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Syracuse Orange + the points over Virginia. The Orange find themselves in the rare position of having a losing Conference record, as they've started 1-2 in this young ACC season. But Syracuse is a solid 36-19 ATS since 1997 in Conference games, if they didn't own a winning Conference record. Take Syracuse + the points. |
01-09-18 | Southern Illinois +6.5 v. Bradley | Top | 62-68 | Win | 100 | 15 h 20 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Southern Illinois Salukis + the points over Bradley. Southern Illinois is on a 3-game ATS losing streak, but it's a fantastic 38-23 ATS as underdogs of less than 8 points (or PK) off back to back ATS losses. Take the points with Southern Illinois. |
01-09-18 | Western Michigan v. Toledo -5 | Top | 61-84 | Win | 100 | 14 h 21 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Toledo Rockets minus the points over Western Michigan. The Broncos come into this game off 4 straight wins (3-0 ATS), but will be hard-pressed to earn their fifth straight victory. Toledo is a solid 23-13 ATS at home in Conference games, if it's off a point spread defeat, and its opponent is off back to back wins. Take Toledo minus the points. |
01-08-18 | Alabama -4.5 v. Georgia | Top | 26-23 | Loss | -107 | 161 h 29 m | Show |
At 8:45 pm, on Monday, our selection is on the Alabama Crimson Tide minus the points over Georgia. Back in late November, I recommended a futures wager on the Crimson Tide +425 to win the National Championship, as I thought it was the best team in the country, and I had no doubt it would be eventually selected for the Playoffs ahead of the team which would win the Ohio State/Wisconsin game. The Crimson Tide easily blew out the team (Clemson) which ranked #2 in my power ratings, and now they'll face a very solid Georgia ballclub. But, as I wrote in my analysis last week for the 'Bama/Clemson game, Nick Saban (along with Urban Meyer) is one of the two best coaches in College Football. And he excels in competitively-priced games, with point spreads less than five points. In that situation, he's a fantastic 36-17 SU/ATS, including a PERFECT 8-0 SU/ATS in the Post-Season! That bodes well for the Crimson Tide in this Championship game. As does the fact that the Tide has won the last three meetings vs. the Bulldogs, by an average of 14.33 ppg. Finally, the Tide has the best scoring defense in the country, as it gives up just 11 ppg. And, since 1989, favorites of -10 or less points have cashed 64.5% in the Bowls (including a perfect 4-0 this season) if they don't give up more than 19 ppg, and their defense is at least 4.5 points better than their opponent's defense. Take Alabama. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-07-18 | Lightning -153 v. Red Wings | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Tampa Bay Lightning over Detroit. The Red Wings have won four straight, but will be without their #1 goalie, Jimmy Howard, tonight, as he sustained a lower-body injury. Petr Mrazek will get the start for the Wings. But he's been largely ineffective, with a 3-4-1 record, an .892 save percentage., and a 3.64 goals-against-average (a full 1 goal per game worse than Howard's GAA). The Wings and Lightning have already met twice this season, and Tampa extended its dominant run over Detroit with wins by identical 3-2 scores. Dating back to 2016, Tampa's won 13 of 14 meetings, including the last nine in a row! That doesn't bode well for the Red Wings this evening. Nor will it help matters that the Lighning lost their second straight game last night -- by a 6-3 score to Ottawa. However, the Lightning are still an impressive 9-4 off back to back road losses, and 41-23 after allowing more than three goals in their previous game. Take Tampa Bay. Elite Info Winner! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-07-18 | Michigan State v. Ohio State +8.5 | Top | 64-80 | Win | 100 | 13 h 23 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Ohio State Buckeyes + the points over Michigan State. The Buckeyes have dominated opponents here, at home, in Value City Arena, as they've gone 225-32 SU and 120-99 ATS since 2004, including 28-15 ATS when playing with revenge vs. a Big 10 Conference foe (Ohio State lost, 74-66, in the previous meeting). Additionally, this will be just the 2nd road game of the season for Michigan State, which has played 15 of its 16 games at home, or on neutral courts. And in MSU's only other road game this season, they failed to cover at Rutgers, when they won by 10, as a 14.5-point favorite. Even worse: the Spartans are an awful 0-7 ATS their last seven road games off a double-digit conference win. Take Ohio State. NCAA Hoops High Roller Winner! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-07-18 | Temple +4 v. UCF | Top | 39-60 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
At 12 Noon, our selection is on the Temple Owls + the points over Central Florida, as Temple falls into 494-340, 377-237 and 322-188 ATS systems of mine. The Knights come into this afternoon's game off back to back wins/covers, while Temple is off back to back losses. Unfortunately, since 1990, the Knights have covered just 33% off back to back SU/ATS wins vs. foes off back to back losses. Meanwhile, Temple's a powerful 123-90-3 ATS on the road vs. Conference foes, including 70% ATS off back to back losses. Take the Owls. NCAA Hoops High Noon Hanging! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Kentucky v. Tennessee -2.5 | Top | 65-76 | Win | 100 | 18 h 46 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Tennessee Volunteers minus the points over Kentucky. The Volunteers come into this home game, in Knoxville, off back to back losses to start their SEC season. The good news, however, is that they are 10-0 ATS vs. Kentucky if the Volunteers lost their two previous games, and are not favored by 4+ points. And Tennessee also falls into a 106-49 ATS angle of mine which plays on certain teams off back to back losses. Finally, Kentucky is an dreadful 0-7 ATS its last 7 as road underdogs. Take Tennessee. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Falcons v. Rams -6 | Top | 26-13 | Loss | -120 | 87 h 36 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Rams minus the points over Atlanta. It's true that the Rams have not made the Playoffs in 13 years, while the Falcons reached the Super Bowl last season. But I believe Playoff "experience" is vastly over-rated. Instead, I prefer to back the much better team. And that's surely the Los Angeles Rams. LA had a better W/L record (11-5), a better ATS win percentage (.562), a better scoring margin (+6.93), and a better point spread differential (+8.90). The most significant difference was on the offensive side of the ball, as LA scored 29.8 ppg, while Atlanta managed to score just 22.0 ppg. And NFL home teams have cashed 63% in the Playoffs over the last 34 years if they weren't favored by 8+ points, and they averaged at least 27.3 ppg. Moreover, notwithstanding its post-season success last year, Atlanta's still a money-burning 6-14 ATS in the Playoffs its last 20, including 1-9 ATS off a SU/ATS win. Take the Rams. NFL High Roller Winner. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Rangers -160 v. Coyotes | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the New York Rangers over Arizona. The Coyotes earned a rare win in their last game but they'll be hard-pressed to win two-in-a-row, especially against a Rangers squad which is coming off a home upset loss to the Blackhawks. And New York is a super 32-14 its last 46 off a home loss. Even worse: the Rangers already blew out Arizona, 5-2, earlier this season. And Arizona is a miserable 23-82 its last 105 when playing with revenge from a loss by 2+ goals. Dating back to 2014, the Coyotes have lost eight straight games to the Rangers in this series. Take New York. NHL Road Warrior. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Lightning -190 v. Senators | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -190 | 16 h 56 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Tampa Bay Lightning over the Ottawa Senators. There's no mystery who the best team has been in the first half of the season. The Lightning have the leading point-and-goal producer (Nikita Kucherov), +/- player (Steven Stamkos), best goalie (Andrei Vasilevskiy) and, not surprisingly as a result, the best record in hockey. And if they don't freeze to death getting off the plane in Ottawa (it was minus 23 degrees last night), then this should be another one in the win column for them. Somehow, the Senators managed to come back from a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Sharks last night, quite a rarity for them this season. The victory was just their second in their last eight games and it doesn't bode well for them this evening as the 'Nats are 2-8 in their last 10 games following a victory. The fact that they are visitors tonight shouldn't matter to the Lightning, as they have been almost as good in other arenas as their own, going 20-8 in their last 28 road games. Because of back-to-back games, Mike Condon should be in goal for Ottawa and he has just one win in his last six decisions, while allowing nine goals in his last two starts. Take Tampa. NHL HIGH ROLLER WINNER. As always, good luck...Al McMordie |
01-06-18 | Central Michigan v. Kent State +1 | Top | 69-85 | Win | 102 | 16 h 49 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Kent State Golden Flashes over Central Michigan. The Chippeawas smashed Ohio, 75-50, to open Mid-American Conference play, while the Golden Flashes were blown out, 75-61, in their conference opener, at Northern Illinois, on Tuesday. But I love them to bounce back this evening, as Kent State is 42-11 ATS at home vs. conference foes off a win, if Kent State lost to a conference foe in its previous game. And the Golden Flashes also fall into a 78-25 ATS system of mine, which fades certain teams (like Central Michigan) off blowout wins. Take Kent State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Titans v. Chiefs -8.5 | Top | 22-21 | Loss | -105 | 83 h 2 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Kansas City Chiefs minus the points over Tennessee. The Chiefs' roller-coaster season was bookended with 5 SU/ATS wins at the front, and 4 SU/ATS wins at the end (with a 1-6 SU/ATS stretch in the middle). I look for them to annihilate the Titans, as Tennessee enters the Playoffs with the 2nd-worst scoring defense of all the Playoff teams. And Playoff road underdogs of 7+ points, that give up 21.75 (or more) points per game, have covered just 25 percent since 1984! Even worse: the Titans defeated Jacksonville, 15-10, last week at home. But the Titans are an awful 1-15 ATS off a home win by more than three points! Take Kansas City. NFL Elite Info Winner! Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Mississippi State v. Ole Miss -3 | Top | 58-64 | Win | 100 | 13 h 20 m | Show |
At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the Mississippi Rebels minus the points over Mississippi State. The Rebels enter this afternoon's home game off a 71-60 loss to Georgia, on Wednesday. However, since 1995, the Rebels are 49-26-1 their last 76 home games off a loss, if priced as a single-digit favorite (or PK), including 9-0 ATS since 2015. And Mississippi also falls into a 92-48 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off losses vs. foes off wins. Lay the points with Mississippi. |
01-06-18 | Kansas State +10 v. Texas Tech | Top | 58-74 | Loss | -107 | 13 h 50 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Kansas State Wildcats + the points over Texas Tech. The Red Raiders pulled off a huge upset, 85-73, at Kansas on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that upset win has triggered a negative 30-74 ATS system of mine which goes against Texas Tech this afternoon. Moreover, Texas Tech is an awful 27-48 ATS since 1992 off an upset win, while Kansas State is a solid 20-10 ATS vs. conference foes off an upset win, including a perfect 6-0 if its opponent is off back to back SU/ATS wins. Take the Wildcats + the points. |
01-06-18 | Bradley v. Evansville -1 | Top | 44-68 | Win | 100 | 3 h 1 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Evansville Purple Aces over Bradley. The Aces are on a 4-game losing streak, while Bradley has won its last two games, but I love the Aces to bounce back at home on Saturday. Evansville falls into a 132-55 ATS system of mine which plays on certain favorites off SU losses. Meanwhile, the Braves are a horrid 66-105 ATS away from home off an ATS win, if they're not laying more than 3 points. Take Evansville. |
01-06-18 | Rhode Island v. George Washington +7 | Top | 81-60 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 0 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the George Washington Colonials + the points over Rhode Island. The Colonials were upset by Duquesne, 69-52, in their last game, and have been installed as a home underdog vs. the Rams. We'll grab the points with George Washington, as it's cashed 100% as a home underdog off an upset loss since 1990. Moreover, GW falls into a 76-27 ATS system of mine which plays on certain home underdogs of +5 or more points off SU losses. Take the Colonials + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-18 | Northern Illinois v. Ohio -7 | Top | 68-78 | Win | 100 | 3 h 31 m | Show |
At 3:30 pm, our selection is on the Ohio Bobcats minus the points over Northern Illinois. Ohio was shellacked by Central Michigan, 75-50, on Tuesday, while the Huskies won their MAC Conference opener, with a 14-point win vs. Kent State. Northern Illinois, though, has covered just 11 of 28 away from home as underdog off a SU/ATS win, while Ohio is a solid 11-1 ATS off a 20-point (or worse) conference defeat. Take Ohio minus the points. |
01-06-18 | Arizona v. Colorado +9 | Top | 77-80 | Win | 100 | 1 h 43 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Colorado Buffaloes + the points over Arizona. |
01-05-18 | William & Mary v. Delaware -1.5 | Top | 90-65 | Loss | -103 | 4 h 25 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Delaware Blue Hens minus the points over William & Mary. The Blue Hens were blown out, 93-78, at Charleston on Tuesday. But they're now back home for their first conference game in front of their own fans. And Delaware has been extremely strong off blowout losses over the years. Since 2005, it is 30-12-2 ATS after losing by 15+ points, including 11-1 ATS their last 12 at home. Even better: Delaware falls into a 132-54 ATS system of mine which plays on certain home favorites off SU losses. Delaware is also 20-6 SU and 18-8 ATS vs. William & Mary since Feb. 20, 2002, including 11-3 ATS off a loss. Take the Blue Hens. CAA Game of the Week. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-04-18 | Charlotte +7.5 v. North Texas | Top | 70-68 | Win | 100 | 12 h 27 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Charlotte 49ers (rotation #535) + the points over North Texas. The Mean Green come into their home game tonight off back to back UPSET road wins over Texas El Paso and Texas San Antonio. Unfortunately, they're FAVORED tonight, and this will be the first time all season, in 10 lined games, that the Mean Green were favored. North Texas is a poor 10-23 ATS when priced as a home favorite of -6.5 to -9 points, and it is 12-26 ATS at home off back to back wins. Take Charlotte. |
01-04-18 | Ducks v. Oilers -125 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 39 m | Show |
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Edmonton Oilers over Anaheim. When these two teams last met, the Ducks were dispatching the Oilers in Game 7 of the quarterfinal round of last season's playoffs. But I expect the Oilers to avenge that playoff ouster with a win tonight, here at home. The Oilers are off four straight losses (giving up 4+ goals in each), but are a solid 6-1 after giving up 4+ goals in each of their last three games. Anaheim is off a 5-0 win at Vancouver, but is a poor 10-20 off a road win (and 2-8 off a shutout road win). Take Edmonton. NHL PAYBACK PAYDAY. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-04-18 | Northern Iowa +5.5 v. Missouri State | Top | 55-62 | Loss | -103 | 12 h 31 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Northern Iowa Panthers (rotation #547) + the points over Missouri State. The Bears are off to a 2-0 start in the Missouri Valley Conference thus far, but have only covered four of their last 20 home games vs. the Panthers. Even worse: Missouri State is an awful 1-10 ATS at home off back to back conference wins (and 37-62 ATS, generally, off a conference win). Take the points with Northern Iowa. |
01-04-18 | North Dakota +14.5 v. Montana | Top | 79-109 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 31 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks (rotation #601) + the points over Montana. The Grizzlies are 5-2 SU and 7-0 ATS over their last seven games, while North Dakota is 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS its last six. The knee-jerk reaction might be to play on the 'hot' Grizzlies against the 'cold' Fighting Hawks. But North Dakota falls into a 'contrarian' 381-203 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off losses against opponents off wins. Take North Dakota. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-04-18 | Troy State v. Texas-Arlington -6.5 | Top | 76-86 | Win | 100 | 11 h 47 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, our selection is on the Texas Arlington Mavericks (rotation #538) minus the points over Troy. Texas Arlington was upset by Appalachian State, 80-76, as a 4.5-point road favorite in its last game. Now, it's back home, and it will take on a Trojans squad which is on a poor 1-5 SU/ATS run in its last five lined games. Arlington is an awesome 30-11 ATS off a road loss. Lay the points. |
01-04-18 | Warriors -4 v. Rockets | Top | 124-114 | Win | 100 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over Houston. The Rockets upset the Warriors on Opening Day, 122-121. But I expect the Warriors to avenge that defeat tonight, as they fall into a 192-113 ATS 'revenge' system of mine. Additionally, the Warriors are 9-0 ATS in the regular season, when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season, vs. an opponent off a SU/ATS win. Take Golden State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-04-18 | Sharks v. Maple Leafs -140 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Maple Leafs over the San Jose Sharks. The Leafs enter the second half of the season in third place in the Atlantic Division and perhaps poised as much as any team to make a run at a title. For one thing, the Leafs were without their best player, C Auston Matthews, for about ten games in the first half due to an upper body injury which sidelined him on two separate occasions -- once in November and then again in December. Matthews finally appears to be 100% healthy and could be sitting on a huge second half for his team. Now for the obvious elephant in the room tonight. The Sharks have won 10 straight meetings with the Leafs and seven straight here in Toronto. But all things come to an end, and with San Jose having lost three of its last four road games, it is in a position to be on the losing end to tonight's opponent for the first time since January 2011. The Sharks are 0-4 in their last four road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600, while the Leafs are 4-1 in their last five home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Toronto's also 9-0 its last nine off a division loss by more than a goal. Take Toronto. NHL HIGH ROLLER. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
