08-13-21 | Toronto v. Winnipeg -6.5 | 7-20 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
This is a 5* play on WPG. The Argos earned a hard fought win on the road at Calgary in their season opener, which now looks less impressive after the Stamps scored just single digits in a home loss to BC in Week 2. Winning on the road in back to back weeks seems like a tough ask, as they take on the defending champs in Winnipeg. The Bombers picked up right where they left off in 2019, beating Hamilton 19-6 in Week 1. They should be healthier in Week 2, and they have won their last two home games versus the Argos by a combined 53 point margin. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
08-12-21 | BC +7 v. Calgary | 15-9 | Win | 100 | 9 h 45 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the BC Lions. The Lions season opener was a story of two halves. The first half in Saskatchewan was a complete disaster, plagued by turnovers and a rookie QB that was like a deer in the headlights. Eventually Nathan Rourke was able to gain his composure, and threw for 194 yards and two TDs on 10-of-18 passing. The Lions held Saskatchewan to just one point in the second half, and ended up with a chance to win it in the final minute. Calgary is coming off a disappointing home loss to Toronto, and now they have to play BC on a short week. Teams playing on a short week are 2-8 straight up in the last 10 such situations, and Calgary is asked to cover a ton of points here tonight. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
08-11-21 | Dodgers v. Phillies +1.5 | 8-2 | Loss | -127 | 22 h 26 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Phillies +1.5. The Dodgers are still four games out of first place in the NL West, and they will be a favorite on the road against the first place Phillies. David Price will toe the slab for LA, and he's lost three straight starts. Price hasn't fooled the Phillies, who have hit a combined .309 over 102 at bats against him, The Phillies hand the ball to Kyle Gibson, who has won both his starts since joining the team. He allowed three runs on nine hits over 12 2/3 innings in wins over the Mets and Pirates. The Phillies are 8-1 in their last nine overall. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
08-03-21 | Orioles v. Yankees -1.5 | 1-13 | Win | 100 | 23 h 43 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Yankees. The Bronx Bombers are even more formidable with the addition of Anthony Rizzo, and they are a big favorite at home versus the Orioles. Alex Wells will toe the slab for Baltimore, and he's coming off back to back losses. He allowed seven runs on 12 hits over 10 2/3 innings in those games. The Yankees hand the ball to Nestor Cortes, who boasts a 0.66 ERA in six appearances in New York this season. The Orioles are 13-39 in the last 52 meetings. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-28-21 | Astros v. Mariners +1.5 | 11-4 | Loss | -150 | 9 h 21 m | Show

|||||||
07-27-21 | Astros v. Mariners +1.5 | 8-6 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 28 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Seattle +1.5. The bookmakers don't have a lot of respect for Seattle. The Mariners are an underdog at home tonight where they have won seven of their last nine, and they are 33-21 this season. Chris Flexen will toe the slab for Seattle, and like the rest of the team he's better at home. Flexen is 6-3 with a 1.89 ERA in 11 appearances in Seattle. The Astros hand the ball to Lance McCullers, who is coming off a loss. McCullers allowed four runs on six hits over five innings in a home loss to Cleveland. Houston has lost four of their last five at Seattle. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-27-21 | Reds +1.5 v. Cubs | 7-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 21 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Cincinnati. The Cubs won Game 1 with an extra innings walk off, but I really don't see this team being such a huge favorite here in Game 2. They have already started selling off players, and this team is headed toward a rebuild. Adbert Alzolay will toe the slab for Chicago, and he's lost four of his last five starts. One of those was a 3-2 loss to Cincinnati. where he allowed three runs on five hits over seven innings. The Reds hand the ball to Vlad Gutierrez, who has won consecutive starts on the road. He allowed three runs on 10 hits in 12 innings in wins at Kansas City and Milwaukee. The Cubs have lost four of their last five versus the Reds. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-26-21 | Reds +1.5 v. Cubs | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 6 h 12 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Reds, Cincinnati won two of three in a home series versus St. Louis this weekend, and they come into Chicago as an underdog in Game 1. Wade Miley will toe the rubber for the Reds, and he's been pretty sharp lately. Miley is 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA in his last four starts, and he's 1-0 with a 3.09 ERA in two starts versus the Cubs this season. The Cubs hand the ball to Kyle Hendricks, who lost to the Reds a few weeks ago. He pitched well in that game, allowing one run on five hits over six innings, but the Cubs weren't able to give him any run support. The Reds are 5-1 in their last six games as a road underdog, and they have won four straight against the Cubs. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-23-21 | Tigers +1.5 v. Royals | 3-5 | Loss | -161 | 23 h 17 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Detroit +1.5. The Tigers bring a seven game winning streak into Kansas City, and they look good as the underdog in the series opener. Wily Peralta will toe the slab for the Tigers, and he's been dealing so far this season. Peralta (3-1, 1.64 ERA) is 3-0 with a 0.34 ERA in his last five starts. The Royals hand the ball to Kris Bubic, who hasn't missed many bats lately. He's 0-2 with a 7.27 ERA in his last five appearances. The Tigers are 7-3 straight up and 9-1 ATS in the last 10 head to head meetings. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-19-21 | Angels v. A's +1.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 20 h 57 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Oakland +1.5. The A's host the Angels in Game 1 of a home series Monday night, and the hype train surrounding Shohei Ohtani is in full effect. The Angels come in as a road favorite, with Ohtani scheduled to start. He's 1-1 with a 6.46 ERA in five starts on the road, and he only pitched 23 2/3 innings total in those games. The A's hand the ball to Cole Irvin, who has won four of his last five starts. He's 2-1 with a 2.88 ERA in four starts over the last 30 days. The Angels are 7-19 in the last 26 meetings in Oakland. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-18-21 | Mariners +1.5 v. Angels | 7-4 | Win | 100 | 14 h 35 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Seattle. The Mariners won 2-of-3 in a home series versus LA before the All Star break, and they have split the first two games of this series in LA. They look good as the underdog here in Game 3. Logan Gilbert will toe the slab for Seattle, and the rookie has really found his stride. Gilbert (3-2, 3.51 ERA) tossed seven scoreless innings, striking out eight and allowing one hit in a home win over the Yankees his last time out. The Angels hand the ball to Patrick Sandoval, who has already lost twice to the Mariners this season. He allowed a pair of runs on six hit in seven innings in a 2-0 loss at Seattle in his last start. The Mariners are 6-2 in their last eight games as a road underdog. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-16-21 | Astros v. White Sox +1.5 | 7-1 | Loss | -138 | 10 h 40 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Chisox +1.5. The White Sox have the best home record in baseball at 31-14, and yet they will a home dog versus Houston in their first game coming out of the All Star break. Dylan Cease will toe the slab for the Sox, and he's been pretty damn good at home. Cease (7-4, 4.11 ERA) is 4-0 with a 1.81 ERA in eight home starts. The Astros hand the ball to Lance McCullers, who has also been putting up incredible numbers in the first half of the season. This could set up a real pitcher's duel. The White Sox are 47-18 in their last 65 home games. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-11-21 | England v. Italy | Top | 1-1 | Push | 0 | 87 h 52 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on Italy. England fans fancy their team as the favorites to win the Euro, but perhaps Graeme Souness said it best: "If I was Gareth Southgate, sitting down to write his Russia 2018 report for the FA, then top of my notepad would be the following – never allow that song, 'Football's Coming Home', to be played again during a major tournament," declared Souness. "Football's coming home, is it? So, England effectively own the sport. I don't think so. "They didn't have a monopoly on it when their teams and the FA were big players in the global power game back in the last century, and they don't now." Their win over Denmark was a result of a controversial penalty that Kane missed, but had the good fortune to score on the rebound. All the pressure is on the English here in the Final, and they are up against an Italian side that is unbeaten in their last 33 matches. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-10-21 | Yankees v. Astros +1.5 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 43 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Houston +1.5. The Yankees won 4-0 in Game 1 of this series in Houston, but they are still nine games out of first place in the AL East. They are the favorite in Game 2, but I like Houston in this revenge spot. Gerrit Cole will toe the slab for New York, and he's struggled since MLB banned sticky substances. Cole has been torched for 12 runs on 17 hits over 15 1/3 innings in his last three starts. The Astros hand the ball to Zack Greinke, who has pitched well against the Yankees. New York's lineup is batting a combined .202 against Greinke over 130 at bats. The Yankees are 3-7 in their last 10 games as a favorite. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-08-21 | Bucks +5.5 v. Suns | 108-118 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 57 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Bucks. I bet Phoenix in Game 1, and I have Phoenix winning the series and Chris Paul to win MVP. That being said, Game 1 wasn't as one-sided as the final score would indicate, and I expect Milwaukee to be better in Game 2. Devin Booker was just 8-of-21 from the field, scoring the majority of his points at the free throw line. A lot has been made about the disparity in free throw opportunities, and the Bucks have been lobbying for more calls in Game 2. The Bucks are 4-0 ATS when coming off a loss. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-07-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Lightning | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 44 h 43 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Montreal. After watching the first three games of this series, it seems pretty clear that Tampa is the better team. Then again, they probably said that about the San Jose Sharks when they had a 3-0 series lead versus LA in the first round in 2014. The Kings went on to beat the Sharks and win the Stanley Cup that year. While that was the last time we saw a team come back from a 3-0 series deficit, you have to go even further back to find the last time a team was swept in the Stanley Cup Finals. The last team to win 4-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals was Detroit in 1998. I'm not ready to call for another epic comeback, but I do think that the Habs are more than capable of extending this series and forcing it back to Montreal for Game 6. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-06-21 | Bucks v. Suns -5.5 | 105-118 | Win | 100 | 57 h 54 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Phoenix to win the Finals. The Milwaukee Bucks finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference in both 2019 & 2020, but each of those seasons ended with post-season disappointment. Are they really any better this year than they were the last two years... or have they just been fortunate that James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Tre Young all got hit by injuries? Their luck may have run out here in the Finals, facing a healthy Phoenix team that finished with the second best record in the NBA this season. Giannis might play, but it's highly unlikely that he will be anywhere near 100 percent. Even when healthy, he's had plenty of struggles, especially at the free throw line. The Suns have won five of their last six versus Milwaukee, and they have covered in six of their last seven versus the Bucks. GL, Jesse Schule |

07-06-21 | Phillies +1.5 v. Cubs | 15-10 | Win | 100 | 30 h 42 m | Show
8* |
|||||||
07-06-21 | Spain v. Italy | 1-1 | Push | 0 | 69 h 28 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Italy. Spain has survived extra time and penalty shootouts in their last two matches, while Italy is coming off an impressive 2-1 win over Belgium. If you've been betting on Spain in this tournament, you lost a lot of money. Their only regulation win came against Slovakia. Draws against Sweden and Poland were a huge disappointment. Italy has been spectacular defensively, conceding just one goal (from the penalty spot) in their last 12 matches. There's a meme going around that kind of says it all about their veteran defenders: "They aren't 19 year olds with cool haircuts, they don't have 50 million followers on Instagram, They don't have great cards on FIFA, they only know one thing and that's proper defending." GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-03-21 | Bucks v. Hawks | 118-107 | Loss | -115 | 45 h 3 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Atlanta. This series has been all over the map, with injuries playing such a key role. The Bucks proved that they can win without Giannis in Game 5 at home, but they sure didn't rise to the challenge back in Game 4 in Milwaukee. The Bucks are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 playoff games as an underdog, and the Hawks are 21-7 ATS in their last 28 home games. I expect Atlanta to make the necessary adjustments, and Game 6 should look a lot like Game 4. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
07-02-21 | Spain v. Switzerland +1 | 1-1 | Win | 100 | 17 h 40 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Switzerland. Spain will once again be a big favorite in the quarterfinals versus giant-killers Switzerland. The Swiss have just upset tournament favorites Frances, while Spain has just one win in four matches at this tournament. Their win over Croatia in the round of 16 was a draw as far as bettors are concerned, as the score was level after 90 minutes. They also played to a draw in matches versus Poland and Sweden. Spain is just 1-1-2 in their last four matches versus Switzerland, and the one win came by a score of 1-0. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-30-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Lightning | 1-3 | Loss | -155 | 43 h 3 m | Show
This is a 2* play on Montreal. So the Habs were blown out by a score of 5-1 in Game 1, so what does that tell us about this series moving forward? I don't think it tells us a damn thing. Montreal lost Game 1 of their series versus Vegas by a score of 4-1, and they went on to dominate the remainder of the series. They lost three of the first four games against Toronto, and then won three straight to erase a 3-1 series deficit. I still think this team has a lot of fight left, and I expect them to come out a lot stronger in Game 2. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-28-21 | Clippers v. Suns -5.5 | 116-102 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 31 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Suns. The Clippers have had an impressive run since Kawhi Leonard went down, but it could all be over in Phoenix tonight. Chris Paul told reporters after Game 4 that he isn't taking anything for granted with a 3-1 series lead. He's seen how quickly a series can turn around, and he's focused on punching his ticket to the finals right here and now. The Suns are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall, and they are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite. They opened up a nine point lead in the first quarter of Game 4, and extended the lead to 14 by halftime. We should expect another fast start for the home team in Game 5. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-28-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Lightning | 1-5 | Loss | -160 | 49 h 11 m | Show
This is a 5*play on Montreal +1.5. The Tampa Bay Lightning will be a big favorite in the Stanley Cup Finals, and there is a damn good reason for that. They have been the best team in the NHL for almost a decade. They won the Stanley Cup in 2020, and the President's Trophy in 2019. That being said they were on the wrong side of one of the biggest upsets in NHL history when they were swept in the first round by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2019. They just barely escaped with a 1-0 win in Game 7 against the New York Islanders, and it's not going to get any easier against an even tougher Montreal team. With perhaps the best top four defense in hockey, and the world's best goaltender, Montreal is in prime position to pull off an upset. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-27-21 | Bucks v. Hawks +4.5 | 113-102 | Loss | -101 | 18 h 8 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Atlanta. The Hawks were downright awful in Game 2 in Milwaukee, but I expect to see a different team at home in Atlanta tonight. The Bucks might be liking their own smell after they blew the doors off in Game 2, and they could get caught flat footed early on the road here. The Bucks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as a road favorite, and they are 1-5 ATS in their last six Conference Finals games. The Hawks are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games, and they have covered in four of their last five coming off an ATS loss. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-25-21 | Hawks v. Bucks -7.5 | 91-125 | Win | 100 | 20 h 35 m | Show
This is a 2* play on Milwaukee. |
|||||||
06-23-21 | Hawks v. Bucks -7 | 116-113 | Loss | -110 | 55 h 31 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Milwaukee. The Bucks host the Hawks in the East Finals, and I expect this to be a short series. Atlanta found a way to get past a banged up Sixers team that had it's fair share of problems. The Bucks are whole different animal. This is a team that has been favorites to come out of the East for a few years now, and it looks like they may have exercised their demons in Game 7 versus Brooklyn. The Hawks have lost four straight at Milwaukee, and they were a double digit underdog in all four of those games. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-22-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Golden Knights | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 20 h 29 m | Show
This is a 5* play on MTL +1.5. I liked Montreal as the underdog in this series from the beginning, and after earning a split in Vegas, I have decided to double down. "The Golden Knights are a huge favorite in the Stanley Cup semifinals, but they face a Montreal team that has won it's last seven games. Carey Price is more than capable of stealing a game or two in this series, and the squad in front of him has been outplaying the opposition throughout the playoffs. If you don't think this series is going to be close, just look at the history between these teams. The Habs have won five of the six meetings all time, and all five of those wins came in games decided by one goal." GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-22-21 | Clippers v. Suns -5.5 | 103-104 | Loss | -115 | 31 h 3 m | Show
This is a 5* play on PHX. The Clippers pushed Phoenix to the brink in Game 1, and Paul George played out of his mind. Playoff P scored 34 points on 10-of-26 shooting, and he was 7-of-15 from beyond the arc. So does that mean they are in good shape moving forward? I don't think so! They had a chance to take advantage of a team coming off a long layoff, and they couldn't get it done. They can't count on Paul George to deliver night in, night out. I expect Game 2 to be a blowout. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-22-21 | England v. Czech Republic +1 | 1-0 | Push | 0 | 38 h 53 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Czech +1. England has long been the most overrated team in international football, and their impressive showing in World Cup 2018 only added fuel to the fire. So far in this tournament, that previous success appears to be the exception rather than the rule. Harry Kane came in as the favorite to win the Golden Boot, and he has yet to score. In fact he was taken off the field for a substitute in the draw against Scotland. England has put together a string of less than impressive results, winning four straight one goal games against inferior opposition prior to their embarrassing result against Scotland. They could be settling for another draw here against a far better Czech team. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-20-21 | Golden Knights v. Canadiens +1.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 20 h 51 m | Show
I liked Montreal as the underdog in this series from the beginning, and after earning a split in Vegas, I have decided to double down. The Habs have won five of the six meetings all time, and all five of those wins came in games decided by one goal." |
|||||||
06-20-21 | Hawks +7.5 v. 76ers | 103-96 | Win | 100 | 43 h 3 m | Show
This is a 2* play on Atlanta. I had Atlanta in the last game, and they came up short. Here is what I said prior to the game: "The Sixers are the better team, there's no doubt about that. They just can't seem to finish a game though, and after blowing a big lead in each of the last two games in this series, it could be all over here in Atlanta. The 76ers are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings in Atlanta." Philly hasn't played well enough to justify a big point spread here in an elimination game. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-19-21 | Germany v. Portugal +0.25 | 4-2 | Loss | -109 | 35 h 6 m | Show
This is a 2* prop bet on Germany not to qualify. The Germans have plenty of work to do in order to move on to the next round. Sure they are favorites against Portugal on Saturday, but only slightly. There is an argument to be made that Portugal has a superior squad with the likes of Bruno Fernandez, Ruben Dias and Christiano Ronaldo. Germany would be eliminated with a loss, and while the price of Portugal to win outright is roughly 2-1, the payoff on this prop bet is twice as good. What about a draw? Well win lose or draw, this prop bet is still alive. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-18-21 | Golden Knights v. Canadiens +1.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 43 h 53 m | Show
This is a 5* play on MTL. The Habs have won five of the six meetings all time, and all five of those wins came in games decided by one goal." GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-16-21 | Wales v. Turkey | 2-0 | Loss | -155 | 18 h 58 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Turkey. Coming off a 3-0 loss to Italy, I think it's too soon to write this team off. Here is what I said prior to their loss to Italy: "Turkey also comes in undefeated in their last five matches, although draws against Latvia and Guinea fail to impress. While the Turkish side has plenty of star power up front, a younger and less experienced defense could be their undoing." Wales is a whole new kettle of fish, and so far their draw versus the Swiss fails to impress. Switzerland scored a game winning goal late in the contest that was ruled offside after VAR. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-14-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Golden Knights | 1-4 | Loss | -120 | 24 h 26 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Montreal +1.5. The Golden Knights are a huge favorite in the Stanley Cup semifinals, but they face a Montreal team that has won it's last seven games. Carey Price is more than capable of stealing a game or two in this series, and the squad in front of him has been outplaying the opposition throughout the playoffs. If you don't think this series is going to be close, just look at the history between these teams. The Habs have won five of the six meetings all time, and all five of those wins came in games decided by one goal. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-14-21 | Blue Jays +1.5 v. Red Sox | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 17 h 38 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Toronto. The Jays are swinging some hot bats lately, scoring 30 runs while winning two of three in Boston. The series wraps up Monday, and I like Toronto in Game 4. Nate Eovaldi will toe the slab for the Sox, and he didn't miss many bats in his last start. Eovaldi (7-3, 4.11 ERA) allowed five runs on 11 hits over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to Houston his last time out. He's been far better on the road than he has been at home, and he's struggled in previous starts versus Toronto. The Jays lineup is batting a combined .327 over 55 at bats versus Eovaldi. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-13-21 | Nets v. Bucks +2.5 | 96-107 | Win | 100 | 5 h 10 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Bucks. Prior to this series I had said that the Nets seemed to have no interest in playing defense. They proved me wrong by holding the NBA's highest scoring team to fewer than 100 points per game in the first two games of this series. I wouldn't be surprised to see them look a little complacent here in Game 3 in Milwaukee. The Bucks are likely to come out firing on all cylinders, and I expect them to shoot the ball a lot better at home. The Nets are 2-7 ATS in their last nine playoff games as an underdog, and the over is 4-1 in the Nets last five Conference Semifinals games. The Bucks won both home games versus Brooklyn during the regular season, and both of those games went over 240 combined points. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
06-11-21 | Giants +1.5 v. Nationals | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 16 h 36 m | Show
This is a 5* play on SF +1.5. The Giants are coming into Game 1 in Washington with a road record of 20-13. The Nats have a losing record at home, but they will be the favorite with Mad Max on the mound. Scherzer is a big name pitcher, but he hasn't had a great season by his standards. He's lost two of his last three starts, and he's 5-4 with a 2.22 ERA overall. The Giants hand the ball to Anthony DeSclafani, who is having a career year. The right-hander is 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA in seven starts on the road this season. The Giants are 7-0 in their last seven road games versus a team with a losing record. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-06-21 | Hawks +2.5 v. 76ers | 128-124 | Win | 100 | 58 h 43 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Atlanta. The Sixers managed to get past Washington in five games, even as Joel Embiid sat on the bench in Game 5. Embiid is officially listed as day to day, but a torn meniscus is expected to keep him out of Game 1. Philly won 77 percent of their games with Joel Embiid in the lineup this season, but had a losing record (10-11) in games that he missed. The Hawks won their first rounds series versus New York in five games, winning twice on the road. They closed out the series with a 103-89 win at The Garden in Game 5. The Hawks are 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings, and they are 6-1 ATS in their last seven overall. Without Embiid there is no doubt that Tre Young is going to be the best player on the floor in Game 1. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-05-21 | Hurricanes +1.5 v. Lightning | 4-6 | Loss | -188 | 29 h 4 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Canes +1.5. I had Carolina in Game 3, and here is what I said prior to the game: "Tampa appears to be in full control of this series, heading home with a 2-0 series lead after back to back wins in Carolina. Both the first two games of this series ended with the same score, Tampa winning 2-1. Four of the last five head to head meetings between these teams have been decided by just one goal." Given that every game in this series has been decided by one goal, I feel comfortable taking the underdog on the puckline in Game 4. GL, Jesse Schule |

06-02-21 | Golden Knights +1.5 v. Avalanche | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Golden Knights. After a big win in Game 7 versus Minnesota, the Knights suffered a big let down in Game 1 at Colorado. Robin Lehner got the start in Game 1, presumably to give #1 goaltender Marc Andre Fleury a night off after a taxing seven game series. We should expect to see Fleury back between the pipes tonight in Game 2. Fleury was named a Vezina finalist for the first time in his 17 year career this season. These teams split the season series, each team winning four games. Five of those games were decided by just one goal. While Colorado deserves to be the favorite, this isn't likely to be an easy game. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-31-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Maple Leafs | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 50 m | Show
This is an 8* play on MTL +1.5. I had the Habs in Game 6, and here is what I had to say prior to the game: "The Habs survived with an overtime win in Toronto in Game 5, and they will look to force a Game 7 with another win on home ice tonight. Carey Price has carried this team, and he's going to need to be great again in Game 6. The Habs are playing with house money, and the pressure is all on Toronto. Four of the last six head to head meetings have been decided by just one goal, and another close game should be expected tonight." Another OT game feels inevitable. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-30-21 | Golden Knights +1.5 v. Avalanche | 1-7 | Loss | -160 | 17 h 9 m | Show
This is an 8* play on VGK. The Avs swept the Blues in the first round, and have since been sitting on the shelf waiting for their next opponent. Vegas is coming off a hard fought seven game series versus Minnesota, and they come in battle tested. These teams split the season series, each team winning four games. Five of those games were decided by just one goal. While Colorado deserves to be the favorite, this isn't likely to be an easy game. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-29-21 | Nuggets +4 v. Blazers | 95-115 | Loss | -101 | 13 h 17 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Denver. I had Denver in Game 2, and here is what I said prior to the game: "The Blazers won big in Game 1 of this series, and we have to decide if that's a preview of what to expect moving forward in this series, or if it was an outlier. I am inclined to say it's likely the later. Portland made 19-of-40 three-point shots in Game 1, and they made 18-of-19 at the free throw line. Denver only made eight free thrown attempts in Game 1, and we should not expect such a disparity here moving forward. The Joker scored a solid 34 points on 14-of-27 shooting in Game 1, and he is likely to have an even better performance in Game 2." The Nuggets come rolling into Portland as an underdog, but they have all the momentum. I'll take the points. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-28-21 | Wild +1.5 v. Golden Knights | 2-6 | Loss | -180 | 18 h 28 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Minnesota +1.5. The Vegas Golden Knights appeared to be in the driver's seat with a 3-1 series lead heading into Game 5. After back to back losses they are back home for a "winner takes all" Game 7. The pressure sits squarely on the home favorite here, and Vegas has a history of struggling in elimination games. They also have a history of struggling against Minnesota. The Wild have won four of their last five at Vegas, and six of the last eight head to head meetings. Expect this game to be close, possibly another OT thriller. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-27-21 | Hurricanes v. Predators +1.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 19 h 50 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Nashville. The Predators face elimination in Game 6 tonight, but I expect them to force a Game 7. The home team has won all five game in this series, and the Predators are 13-3 in their last 16 home games. The Predators are 4-0 in their last four games as a home underdog, and the home team is 11-0 in the last 11 meetings. The Hurricanes are 0-4 in their last four games as a road favorite. They head back to Carolina for Game 5, and I am expecting this to be a close game that could go either way. Each of the last two games were decided in overtime, and I wouldn't be surprised to see another overtime game tonight. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-24-21 | Islanders +1.5 v. Penguins | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 18 h 37 m | Show
This is a 5* play on NYI +1.5. This series between Pittsburgh and New York couldn't be any closer. We head into Game 5 in Pittsburgh with the series tied 2-2, and three of the first four games decided by just one goal. The Islanders are coming off a convincing 4-1 win at home in Game 4, and they have the momentum in their favor. The Penguins are 3-9 in their last 12 playoff games as a favorite, and goaltending has been an issue for Pittsburgh in this series. Ilya Sorokin is the hot netminder in this series, with a record of 2-0 and a 1.76 GAA. He stopped 29-of-30 shots in a Game 4 victory. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-23-21 | Avalanche -1.5 v. Blues | 5-2 | Win | 117 | 21 h 5 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Avs -1.5. Colorado finished with the best record in the NHL during the regular season, and the Avs are the favorite to win the Stanley Cup. They are on the verge of sweeping the St. Louis Blues, and we might not see a lot of push back from the Blues here in Game 4. The Avs have outscored St. Louis a combined 15-5 in the first three games. The Blues have missed leading scorer David Perron who has been sidelined with Covid. The Blues are 0-5 in their last five playoff games as an underdog. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-23-21 | Dodgers v. Giants +1.5 | 11-5 | Loss | -149 | 20 h 15 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Giants +1.5. The Giants have fallen out of first place in the NL West after back to back losses to the Dodgers. I like San Fran as a home dog in Game 3 Sunday. Anthony Desclafani will toe the slab for San Francisco, and he's been dealing in 2021. Desclafani (4-1, 2.03 ERA) allowed one run on seven hits, striking out seven in seven innings in a win over the Reds his last time out. The Dodgers hand the ball to Julio Urias, who got hit pretty hard in his last start on the road. He allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings in a loss to the Angels. The Giants have won four straight home games against left handed starters. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-23-21 | Wizards v. 76ers -7.5 | 118-125 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 6 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Sixers. Despite finishing first in the East during the regular season, the Sixers aren't getting a lot of respect from bookmakers. They will play the Wizards in the first round, and this should be a fairly easy series for them. Washington played incredible down the stretch, but Russell Westbrook gave us a preview of what to expect in the playoffs when he laid an egg in the first play-in game. The Wizards are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Conference Quarterfinals games, and they are 1-8 ATS in their last nine playoff games as an underdog. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-22-21 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Maple Leafs | 1-5 | Loss | -160 | 17 h 12 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Habs +1.5. Carey Price stopped 35 of 36 shots in a brilliant performance in Game 1 of this first round series versus Toronto. Maple Leafs captain John Tavares was stretchered off the ice and taken to hospital with a head injury, and he remains out of the lineup for Game 2. A close game in the series opener was no surprise, as three of the last four meetings between these teams were decided by just one goal. Toronto has the better team on paper, but that might not matter if Carey Price plays like we all know he's capable of. GL, Jesse Schule. |
|||||||
05-22-21 | Mavs v. Clippers -4.5 | Top | 113-103 | Loss | -110 | 63 h 19 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on the Clippers. The Western Conference is wide open heading into the playoffs. The defending champion LA Lakers are still the favorite, despite facing a play-in situation versus the red hot Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry has played at an MVP caliber all season long, while LeBron has been in and out of the lineup, and doesn't appear to be 100 percent healthy. The Utah Jazz finished first in the standings, and the Phoenix Suns were only one game back. Neither of those teams is getting much respect from bookmakers, who give them the third and fourth best chance to win the West. The media was buzzing when LeBron James was quoted a few weeks ago as saying: "I don't think i'll ever get back to 100% in my career." While I believe that was mostly clickbait, I do think he's already looking for an excuse if he fails to get out of the first round, or gets bounced by the Warriors in the play-in. The Clippers are guilty of tanking in their final few games, a strategic move to avoid facing the Lakers until the Western Conference Final. Kawhi Leonard has had a pretty quiet season, but he has a history of elevating his game in the playoffs. He's also been perhaps the only player in the league to get the better of LeBron James. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-21-21 | Dodgers v. Giants +1.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 25 h 44 m | Show
This is an 8* play on San Francisco. The Giants are still in first place in the NL West, and they have a home record of 14-4. They will be a home underdog against a Dodgers team that is just 10-12 on the road. Alex Wood will toe the slab for San Francisco, and he's been dealing in 2021. Wood (5-0, 1.75 ERA) allowed one run on eight hits, striking out six in six innings in a win over Pittsburgh his last time out. The Dodgers hand the ball to Trevor Bauer, who has lost his last three starts on the road. Bauer (4-2, 2.20 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on four hits and two walks in six innings in a loss to the Angels in his last start on the road. The Dodgers have lost five straight when Bauer starts as a road favorite. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-21-21 | Jets +1.5 v. Oilers | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 32 h 54 m | Show
This is a 5* play on WPG +1.5. The Jets faded down the stretch, and they come into this playoff series versus Edmonton as losers of six straight head to head meetings. You don't have to go too far back though to when these teams were neck and neck, fighting for second place in the North Division. I wouldn't count out this Winnipeg team that has gone deep into the playoffs in recent seasons. Edmonton has the superstar in Connor McDavid, but the Jets have the goaltending, the grit and the toughness to make this a competitive series. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-20-21 | Penguins +1.5 v. Islanders | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 15 h 50 m | Show
This is a 2* play on the Pens +1.5. You don't want to pay the big price to back the puckline dog all the time, but I will make an exception here getting the #1 seed Penguins as the ATS underdog. The Pens have won seven of their last 10 versus the Islanders outright, and seven of those games were decided by just one goal. Evgeni Malkin will travel with the team, and is expected to be back in the lineup for Game 3. The Penguins are 7-2 in their last nine road games, and the Islanders are 2-6 in their last eight games as a favorite. Sidney Crosby was pretty quiet in Game 2, and played limited minutes. I expect him to make an impact tonight. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-19-21 | Warriors +5 v. Lakers | 100-103 | Win | 100 | 43 h 48 m | Show
This is a 5* play on GSW. This is a free play on WPG +1.5. The Jets faded down the stretch, and they come into this playoff series versus Edmonton as losers of six straight head to head meetings. You don't have to go too far back though to when these teams were neck and neck, fighting for second place in the North Division. 05-19-21 | Capitals +1.5 v. Bruins | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Washington +1.5. The Bruins now have home ice advantage after earning a split in the first two games of the series. Both Game 1 and Game 2 were decided by one goal, and I like the Capitals as the underdog in Game 3. The Capitals are 17-5 in their last 22 road games, so the line favoring the Bruins as a heavy home favorite makes little sense. The Bruins are 4-10 in their last 14 playoff games as a favorite. Don't be surprised to see another overtime game here. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-18-21 | Giants +1.5 v. Reds | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 17 h 25 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Giants +1.5. The Giants are still in first place in the NL West, and they look good as an underdog today in Cincinnati. Luis Castillo will toe the slab for Cincinnati, and he's been downright terrible this season. The Reds "Ace" has allowed 14 runs on 15 hits and four walks over 7 2/3 innings in his last two starts. The Giants hand the ball to Anthony Desclafani, who has been dealing in 2021. Desclafani (3-1, 2.14 ERA) tossed five scoreless innings surrendering just one hit in a win over Pittsburgh his last time out. The Reds are 3-7 in their last 10 home games. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-13-21 | Cardinals +1.5 v. Brewers | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 2 h 14 m | Show
This is a 5* play on St. Louis. The Cardinals came into Milwaukee with the best record in baseball, and they have split the first two games. I like St. Louis with their ace on the mound in the rubber match. Jack Flaherty will toe the slab for St. Louis, and he's been dealing in 2021. Flaherty (6-0, 2.83 ERA) allowed three hits over seven scoreless innings in a win over the Rockies his last time out. The Brewers hand the ball to Corbin Burnes, who has been sidelined for a few weeks due to injury. He allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings in a loss to Miami his last time out. The Cardinals are 4-1 in their last five games following a loss. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-11-21 | Knicks v. Lakers -5.5 | 99-101 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 2 m | Show
This is a 10* play on LA Lakers. The Lakers were the best team in the NBA, and defending world champions before LeBron and AD suffered nagging injuries. While they have slipped all the way to seventh in the Western Conference, it would be naive to think that they are anything but the favorite to repeat. The Knicks are one of the hottest teams in the league, but I think they are biting off more than they can chew here on the road at LA with LeBron and AD both expected to play. Davis is coming off a 42 point performance in a win over Phoenix on Sunday. The Knicks won by a score of 111-96 at home against LA last month, but neither AD or LeBron played in that game. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-11-21 | Orioles +1.5 v. Mets | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 58 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Baltimore. The Orioles will be an underdog in Game 1 in New York, and the Mets have won five straight. John Means will toe the slab for Baltimore, coming off a no hitter in his last start. Means (4-0, 1.37 ERA) has made seven starts, and the Orioles are 7-0 ATS in those games. The Mets hand the ball to Marcus Stroman, who has been hot and cold. Stroman (3-3, 2.12 ERA) allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings in a loss to St. Louis his last time out. He's lost his last three starts. The Mets have lost seven of their last 10 versus left-handed starters, and they are 1-6 in their last seven interleague games. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-10-21 | Rangers +1.5 v. Giants | 1-3 | Loss | -174 | 5 h 46 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Texas +1.5. The Rangers will be an underdog in San Francisco tonight, and these two teams might be the biggest surprises in the majors so far. The Giants sit in first place in the NL West, while the Rangers are only three games out of first in the AL West with a record of 18-18. Kyle Gibson will toe the rubber for the Rangers, and he's been dealing in 2021. Gibson (3-0, 2.40 ERA) allowed three runs on three hits, striking out eight in eight innings in a win over the Twins his last time out. While Alex Wood comes in with similar numbers, Gibson has been far more consistent at the age of 33, and we could say that it's too small a sample size to suggest Wood is on the same level. The Rangers are 11-1 in their last 12 games versus a left-handed starter. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-09-21 | Phillies v. Braves +1.5 | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 7 h 35 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Atlanta. The Braves host the Phillies in Game 3 of a home series in Atlanta Sunday, and after Ronald Acuna was hit by a pitch yesterday he's expected to sit. This has moved the needle with bettors lining up on the Phillies and the under in the absence of one of the league's most feared hitters. Atlanta rallied in the 12th inning last night to win 8-7, scoring six runs after Acuna left the game. They face the Phillies ace tonight, but Aaron Nola has an ERA over 5.00 on the road. Huascar Ynoa will toe the slab for Atlanta, and he's won three straight starts. Ynoa (3-1, 2.36 ERA) is 2-0 with a 1.56 ERA in three home starts. The Phillies are 7-15 in the last 22 meetings in Atlanta, and the over is 5-0 in the last five head to head meetings. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-08-21 | Canucks v. Oilers -1.5 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 49 m | Show |
This is a 10* play on the Oilers -1.5. I had Edmonton on Thursday, and they were blown out in a home loss to the Canucks. This sets up a big revenge spot for the superior Oilers in a nationally televised game on Hockey Night in Canada. Here is what I had to say on Thursday: "The Canucks have been dealt a tough hand this season, even more so than the rest of the league. While it's been tough for everyone playing through a pandemic, Vancouver had to shut down when the entire team came down with Covid, and now they are forced to make up those games by playing almost every day. They will play their sixth game in eight days tonight in Edmonton, and to add insult to injury their first line center will not play while under investigation for sexual assault. Vancouver has lost six straight, and five straight by at least two goals. Edmonton is just six point out of first place in the North Division, so this looks like it could be another blowout." GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-08-21 | Los Angeles FC v. LA Galaxy +0.5 | 1-2 | Win | 106 | 11 h 34 m | Show
This is a 5* play on LA Galaxy. The Galaxy will be an underdog in El Trafico, despite a slow start for rivals LAFC. So far Javier Hernandez leads the league in scoring with five goals in three matches. The 2019 Golden Boot winner Carlos Vela left in the season opener for LAFC, and his status is questionable heading into tonight's match. Without him LAFC has played back to back draws against Houston and Seattle. I like the Galaxy to earn at least a draw here in this rivalry match. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-08-21 | Padres v. Giants +1.5 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 18 h 59 m | Show
This is an 8* play on the Giants +1.5. This game jumps off the page from a statistical point of view. The Giants are sitting in first place in the NL West, they have the best home record in baseball. Their starting pitcher tonight has a lower ERA than his opponent, yet the Padres come in as a road favorite. I think this creates some value with a play on the home team on the runline given an expected low scoring game. GL, Jesse Schule |

05-06-21 | Rays +1.5 v. Angels | 8-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show
This is a 6* play on Tampa +1.5. The Rays are an underdog in Game 4 in LA after winning the first three games of the series, and I like Tampa in this spot. Collin McHugh will toe the rubber for the Rays, and he's mostly used as an opener. He hasn't been spectacular, but he's capable of getting the job done. The Angels hand the ball to Andrew Heaney making his 6th start of the season. He allowed four runs on six hits and two walks in 3 1/3 innings in a loss to Seattle his last time out. The Rays are 31-11 in the last 42 meetings in Los Angeles. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
05-05-21 | Rays +1.5 v. Angels | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show
This is a 6* play on Tampa +1.5. The Rays are an underdog in Game 3 in LA after winning both the first two games of the series, and I like Tampa in this spot. Andrew Kittredge will toe the rubber for the Rays, and he's been great despite being used as an opener. He hasn't allowed a run in each of his last four appearances. The Angels hand the ball to Shohei Ohtani making his fourth start of the season. He allowed four runs on three hits and two walks in five innings in a win at Texas his last time out. The Rays are 30-11 in the last 41 meetings in Los Angeles. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-30-21 | Cardinals v. Pirates +1.5 | 7-3 | Loss | -170 | 17 h 22 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Pirates +1.5. The Pirates have won six of their last nine overall, and they are an underdog at home to St. Louis Friday. John Gant will toe the slab for the Cardinals, and he's had trouble throwing strikes. He's walked 13 batters in 20 innings over four starts. The Pirates hand the ball to JT Brubaker, who has been lights out so far in 2021. The right-hander allowed a pair of runs on five hits in seven innings in a 2-0 loss to the Twins his last time out. He had allowed just three runs in 15 1/3 innings in three previous starts. Three of the last four times the Pirates have played St. Louis, the game was decided by just one run. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-28-21 | Reds +1.5 v. Dodgers | 0-8 | Loss | -117 | 13 h 17 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Cincinnati +1.5. The Reds have really been swinging hot bats, with the best on base percentage in the majors. They are an underdog in Game 3 in LA after winning the first two games of the series. Clayton Kershaw will toe the slab for LA, and he's coming off back to back losses. Kershaw (3-2, 2.56 ERA) allowed three runs on five hits in seven innings in a loss to San Diego his last time out. The Reds hand the ball to Sonny Gray, who has had success against the Dodgers. LA is batting a combined .098 in previous meetings versus Gray. The Dodgers are 3-2 in their last five home games versus the Reds, but two of those three wins came by just one run. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-28-21 | Manchester City v. Paris Saint-Germain +0.5 | 2-1 | Loss | -135 | 13 h 44 m | Show
This is a 5* play on PSG +0.5. I had Chelsea as an underdog yesterday, and I correctly predicted the exact final score, noting that Chelsea would be content with a draw and a final score of 1-1 was quite likely. Here this afternoon I feel the same way about PSG, as Manchester City comes in as a road favorite, when they would also be content to play for a draw. There is also the issue that Manchester City was one of the main players in the European Super League debacle, while Paris was sensible enough to avoid that mess. PSG has scored 11 goals in their last three matches, while Manchester City has scored just three goals in their last three matches. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-27-21 | Twins v. Indians +1.5 | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 4 h 25 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Cleveland +1.5. The Twins have lost seven of their last eight overall, yet somehow they are a road favorite at Cleveland Tuesday. Kenta Maeda will toe the slab for the Twins, and he's been pretty average so far. Maeda (1-1, 6.11 ERA) was torched for seven runs on eight hits in just three innings in a loss at Oakland his last time out. The Indians hand the ball to Aaron Civale, who has been pretty solid. Civale (3-0, 2.42 ERA) allowed three runs on four hits, striking out six in 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Yankees his last time out. The Twins are 1-4 in the last five meetings in Cleveland. 04-27-21 | Chelsea +0.5 v. Real Madrid | 1-1 | Win | 100 | 25 h 59 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Chelsea. Chelsea would be content to earn a draw here on the road in the first leg of this Champions League tie versus Madrid. The Blues are 2-1-1 in their last four matches, conceding just one goal during that span. Real Madrid has posted a clean sheet in four straight matches, however they failed to score in three of those four games. We should be expecting a close, lowing scoring game and I wouldn't be surprised if it ended 1-1. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-25-21 | Brewers v. Cubs +1.5 | 6-0 | Loss | -155 | 5 h 60 m | Show
This is a 5* play on the Cubs +1.5. The Cubs host the Brewers in a matinee at Wrigley Sunday, in what looks like it could be a pitcher's duel. Jake Arrieta will toe the slab for the Cubs, and he's looked good at home. Arrieta is 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA at Wrigley in 2021. The Brewers hand the ball to Brandon Woodruff, who will be making his third start against the Cubs this season. The Cubs are 4-1 in their last five home games, and 6-2 in their last eight as a home dog. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-22-21 | Diamondbacks +1.5 v. Reds | 14-11 | Win | 100 | 12 h 9 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Arizona +1.5. Cincinnati will be the favorite in Game 3 of this home series versus Arizona, despite the fact that the D'Backs are 6-4 straight up and 9-1 ATS in the last 10 head to head meetings. Taylor Widener will toe the slab for Arizona, and he's been pretty solid so far. The right-hander has tossed 12 scoreless innings in two starts on the road in 2021. The Reds hand the ball to Jeff Hoffman, who already lost to Arizona this season. The right-hander allowed three runs on six hits and three walks in 4 1/3 innings, losing 8-3 at Arizona. The D'Backs have hit a combined .291 over a combined 54 at bats against Hoffman. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-21-21 | Twins v. A's +1.5 | 12-13 | Win | 100 | 14 h 47 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Oakland +1.5. The A's come into Game 3 of this home series versus Minnesota as winners of 10 straight overall. Kenta Maeda will toe the slab for the Twins, and he's been solid so far this year. Maeda (1-1, 3.07 ERA) allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over 4 1/3 innings in a home loss to Boston his last time out. The A's will hand the ball to Frankie Montas, who has allowed just one run in 12 innings in his last two starts. The Twins are 18-38 in the last 56 meetings in Oakland. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
04-17-21 | Indians +1.5 v. Reds | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 24 h 34 m | Show
This is a 5* play on Cleveland +1.5. The Indians come into Cincinnati as winners of six of their last eight, and they look good as an underdog on Saturday. Triston McKenzie will toe the slab for the Tribe, and he's off to a good start to the season. McKenzie (0-0, 4.70 ERA) allowed three runs on two hits, striking out six in four innings in a 4-3 loss to Chicago his last time out. The Reds hand the ball to Sonny Gray, who is making his season debut. He might be in for a short outing on a pitch count. The Reds are 2-6 in their last 8 games versus a left-handed starter. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
04-17-21 | Tigers +1.5 v. A's | 0-7 | Loss | -155 | 24 h 39 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Detroit +1.5. The Oakland A's will host Detroit in Game 3 Saturday afternoon, and this looks like a game the Tigers could win. Casey Mize will toe the slab for the Tigers, and he's been really sharp in two previous starts. Mize (1-0, 0.82 ERA) tossed seven scoreless innings in a win at Houston his last time out. The A's hand the ball to Cole Irvin, who lost both his starts so far this season. The southpaw has allowed eight runs on a dozen hits in 9 2/3 innings. The Athletics are 2-8 in their last 10 home games, and they have failed to cover in six of their last seven home games against righthanded starters. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
04-14-21 | Avalanche v. Blues +1.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 21 h 3 m | Show
This is an 8* play on St. Louis +1.5. The Blues have won four straight, and they will be a pretty sizeable underdog at home versus Colorado tonight. These teams have a history of playing close games, and another close game might be expected here. Colorado has won four of the last five meetings, but three of those four wins came in games decided by one goal. The Avalanche are just 7-22 in the last 29 meetings in St. Louis, and the Blues are 38-18 in their last 56 games following a win. GL, Jesse Schule |
|||||||
04-14-21 | Red Sox +1.5 v. Twins | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 2 h 53 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Boston +1.5. The Red Sox bring a six game win streak into Minnesota, and they look good as the underdog in Game 1. Nathan Eovaldi will toe the slab for the Sox, and he's been dealing so far this season. He allowed a run on three hits, striking out seven in seven innings in a win over Tampa his last time out. The Twins hand the ball to Kenta Maeda, who has been sharp in 2021. Maeda (1-0, 2.61 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on seven hits, striking out six in six innings in a 3-2 win over Detroit his last time out. The Red Sox are 6-1 in their last seven road games versus a right-handed starter. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-13-21 | Sabres v. Bruins -1.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -125 | 19 h 46 m | Show
This is an 8* play on Boston -1.5. The Bruins were big winners at the trade deadline, acquiring former MVP Taylor Hall from Buffalo. The Bruins host the Sabres on Tuesday, and these two teams are polar opposites. Buffalo is dead last in the East Division, and they have lost seven straight against the Bruins. The Sabres are 2-12 in their last 14 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation, and they are 14-45 in their last 59 games as a road underdog. They have lost 20 of the last 26 meetings against the Bruins. GL, Jesse Schule |

04-08-21 | Lightning v. Blue Jackets +1.5 | 6-4 | Loss | -143 | 18 h 48 m | Show
This is an 8* play on CBJ +1.5. After losing Game 1 of this two game series in Columbus, the Lightning are once again a heavy favorite. The Blue Jackets sure seem to have their number, going 10-0 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Blue Jackets only won four of those games outright, but all six losses came in games decided by one goal. The Lightning have lost five of their last seven games outright, and six of their last 10 overall have been decided by just one goal. GL, Jesse Schule |
