2017 Rams Season Preview & NFL Futures Lines
Looking for 2017 Los Angeles Rams predictions? We’ve got your back. The Los Angeles Rams seem to have the longest rebuild in NFL history going on right now. The team tried to speed that process up by making a splash last April and acquiring the No. 1 overall pick, but even that’s slowed the rebuild down by denying the team the picks it desperately needed this past year, not to mention Jared Goff looked like a bust in his rookie season.

Now the team moves on past the forgettable Jeff Fisher era, luring Sean McVay away from the Washington Redskins in hopes he can have the same impact on Jared Goff and the offense he did on Kirk Cousins and the Washington offense.
2017 Los Angeles Rams Predictions: Roster Changes
With a new head coach often comes a slew of roster changes, so it’s no surprise that’s what we saw from the Rams this offseason as they shift from the Fisher-era to the McVay-era.
The most significant addition was offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, who will anchor the line from the left tackle position. He’s been such an underrated force for the Bengals for years.

And general manager Les Snead didn’t shift his attention away from the offensive line after just that one move, as he also brought in center John Sullivan. Snead also paid attention to the skill positions.
With Kenny Britt moving on to Cleveland, a new No. 1 receiver needed to come in, and the Rams hope former Bills wideout Robert Woods can fill that void.
Snead also went heavy on pass-catchers in the draft, adding receiving tight end Gerald Everett with the team’s first selection in the second round.
He also added wide receivers Cooper Kupp in the third round, and Josh Reynolds in the fourth to give Goff more options to throw the ball to.
2017 Los Angeles Rams Predictions: Offense
The Rams hope Woods can be the No. 1 receiver they need, but he’s better suited as a No. 2 option.
Tavon Austin hasn’t been able to step up to be that guy, though it’ll be interesting to see whether McVay can find some new and creative ways to get the ball in his hands to make him relevant again.

The team also went heavy on pass-catchers in last year’s draft, with wide receiver Pharoh Cooper and tight end Tyler Higbee the notables from that group, so there won’t be a shortage of options when Goff drops back.
With the additions on the offensive line, the hope is running back Todd Gurley can get back on track after a disappointing 2016.
He’s the real focal point of the offense, so as much as McVay may want to coach up Goff, Gurley need to be priority No. 1 for him.
2017 Los Angeles Rams Predictions: Defense
The Ram defense is going to have a very different look in 2017, as McVay brought along Wade Phillips to be his defensive coordinator. Phillips has excelled in his last two stops with the Texans and Broncos.
He’ll switch the defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4, which will be all for not if it negatively impacts defensive star Aaron Donald, who’s quietly excelled as one of the most efficient defensive players in the league from his defensive tackle spot.
2017 Los Angeles Rams Handicapping: (Strengths/Weaknesses)
The offensive line looks a lot better than it did a year ago, and that lends some hope to the team’s ground game. And if McVay can make something respectable out of the team’s passing game, Gurley won’t have as many stacked boxes to face.

This roster was gutted during the Fisher era. It’s going to take a long time for this team to climb back to respectability.
2017 Los Angeles Rams Prediction (Final Record): 5-11
The Rams finished 4-12 last season, but 0-7 in games Goff started. It’s tough to imagine this team turning things around any time soon. The wise move is to avoid the Rams when making futures bets this years.
