04-25-15 | San Francisco Giants v. Colorado Rockies OVER 10 | 5-4 | Loss | -120 | 10 h 14 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB *8* OVER 10 runs -120 in Colorado vs San Francisco @ 8:10 ET - Yesterday's game ended up being a push as the Rockies once again as Colorado continues to "flirt" with getting involved in high-scoring shootouts. Tonight's match-up should leave little doubt and absolutely crush the number early. The Giants Tim Hudson gave up 5 earned runs in 5 innings in his last start at Coors Field and the Rockies hitters have the added edge of already having seen him this season. As for the Rockies hurler tonight, Jorge De La Rosa is coming off of a dreadful outing in Denver in his most recent start. Facing the Giants is unlikely to help matters. San Francisco has produced 13 base runners in just 8 innings in their last two shots at the Rockies southpaw. The Giants have hit left-handed starters very well so far this season and they pounded out 12 hits in yesterday's game. The Rockies answered with 15 hits of their own yesterday and it will be more of the same today except that Colorado is unlikely to again strand 11 men on base like they did last night. The Rockies go to 3-0 to the OVER in Saturday games this season with another wild one at Coors Field. Play OVER 10 runs in Colorado as an *8* selection. |

04-24-15 | San Francisco Giants v. Colorado Rockies OVER 10 | Top | 4-6 | Push | 0 | 13 h 54 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB *10* OVER 10 runs +106 in Colorado vs San Francisco @ 8:40 ET - Both of these teams are off wins yesterday but they were fortunate as each team wasted a ton of opportunties. The Giants won 3-2 yesterday despite leaving 11 men on base and the Rockies won 2-1 yesterday despite also leaving 11 men on base. There will be a huge advantage to the hitters in tonight's match-up. These lineups each saw these pitchers just a week and a half ago in San Francisco. That game ended up being a low-scoring match-up but now the rematch is in a hitters park with favorable weather expected. Additionally, having just seen these pitchers both lineups will be ready to tee off. Giving even more value for over plays here is the fact that this is the FIRST START ever for the Giants Chris Heston at Coors Field which is certainly not a pitcher friendly environment. Many starting pitchers have had nightmare outings in their first start being made at Coors Field. A repeat of that here would not surprise for Heston. As for Eddie Butler of the Rockies, he did have a couple outings here at Coors Field last season and his overall numbers have not impressed. He's also had trouble with walks and that continued in his first match-up with the Giants this season. The rematch, in the hitter-friendly Mile High air, will be even worse. That said, both clubs score early and often in this one. The Giants are enjoying their first 3 game win streak of the season and they have gone 30-16 to the over the last two seasons when they entered a game on a winning streak of 3 games or more. Plenty of confident hitters on both sides tonight. Play OVER the total in Colorado as a *10* Top Play. |
04-23-15 | San Diego Padres v. Colorado Rockies OVER 10.5 | 1-2 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 26 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #960 - *6* OVER 10.5 in Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego @ 3:10 pm ET – The Colorado Rockies host the San Diego Padres Thursday. These teams have totaled 39 runs in the first three games of this season, going 2-1 O/U in that span, and we expect the high scores to continue in the finale Thursday. Padres starter Tyson Ross takes the mound in Game 4. Ross is notorious for his control issues and has already issued 12 walks through his first three starts. Those misplaced pitches have a habit of finding the other side of the fence at Coors Field and we expect the Rockies to make Ross pay for those mistakes. Colorado counters with starter Jordan Lyles, who has been roughed up by the Padres in past meetings, with a 1-3 record and career 6.30 ERA in six starts versus San Diego. The Rockies have gone Over the total in seven of his last eight home starts. Play OVER 10.5 in Colorado as an *6* selection. |
04-23-15 | Chicago Cubs v. Pittsburgh Pirates OVER 7.5 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 52 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #952 - *6* OVER 7.5 in Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chi Cubs @ 12:35 pm ET – The Cubs’ bats are heating up, recording 17 runs in the first three games of this series. Chicago has gone 1-1-1 O/U in that span but we expect a breakout game for the Cubs offense in this afternoon matchup. Chicago is hitting .316 in this series – the second best BA over a three-game span in the majors. Pittsburgh has also put some runs on the board in this NL Central rivalry, scoring 14 runs total in those three games. They take aim at Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks, who looked better in his last start than he did in a rough season debut. The Cubs have gone Over the total in five of Hendricks last seven road starts and these clubs have topped the total in five of their last seven overall, with a push in that span. Play OVER 7.5 in Pittsburgh as an *6* selection. |
04-22-15 | San Diego Padres v. Colorado Rockies OVER 9.5 | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -127 | 13 h 5 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #912 - *10* OVER 9.5 in Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego @ 8:40 pm ET – The Colorado Rockies host the San Diego Padres Wednesday. These NL West rivals have blasted the scoreboard in the first two games of this series, scoring a combined 30 runs and playing Over in both contests. That high scoring continues in Game 3 of this four-game set. The Padres have surprised some with their offensive output to start the season, averaging 5.33 runs per game. San Diego has been plagued by poor work at the plate in the past but is giving the Over serious value with their improved hitting. Colorado continues to crush the ball at home, where they’ve already gone 4-1 O/U. Kyle Kendrick takes the mound for the Rockies, coming off a six-run, seven-hit, 4 2/3 innings effort against the Dodgers last time out. Padres starter James Shields didn’t look overly sharp in his last start either and Coors Field has a way of turning those little mistakes into big runs. Play OVER 9.5 in Colorado as a *10* selection. |
04-22-15 | Minnesota Twins v. Kansas City Royals OVER 8 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 36 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #924 - *8* OVER 8 in Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota @ 8:10 pm ET – The Kansas City Royals host the Minnesota Twins Wednesday. These teams topped the total with a 6-5 Royals win Tuesday and we expect those high scores to continue today. Kansas City is clubbing the ball, averaging 5.79 runs per game – second most in the majors – and hitting a MLB-best .310 at the plate. Minnesota hasn’t done too bad either, coming back from a one-run showing in Game 1 of this series to put up five runs Tuesday. Both clubs are 6-3-1 O/U in their last 10 games and have gone 4-1-1 O/U in their last six head-to-head meetings. Game 3 features two pitchers that haven’t been able to go deep into their starts, with Mike Pelfrey and Jeremy Guthrie on the mound. High pitch counts and control issues should help the Over in this series finale. Play OVER 8 in Kansas City as an *8* selection. |
04-21-15 | Minnesota Twins v. Kansas City Royals OVER 8 | Top | 5-6 | Win | 103 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #972 - *10* OVER 8 in Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota @ 8:10 pm ET – The Kansas City Royals host the Minnesota Twins Tuesday. These clubs pushed with the 8-run total last night but we expect them to top Tuesday’s number with ease. Kansas City did the heavy lifting with seven runs in Monday’s win and is scoring a major-league high 5.77 runs per game, hitting .310 to start the season. The Twins were countering their weak defensive efforts with some solid work at the plate before Monday’s one-run effort, including a 7-2 win over Cleveland on Sunday. The Royals go with starter Jason Vargas on the hill coming off a horrid outing versus the Twins on April 16. He gave up five runs on 10 hits and lasted just three innings. Minnesota goes with Tommy Milone, who has been great to start the year. However, his last start was against the Royals and he did show some signs of struggling with his command, walking three and throwing 101 pitches through just 5 1/3 innings. These AL Central rivals have gone 3-1-1 Over/Under in their last five head-to-head meetings. Play OVER 8 in Kansas City as a *10* selection. |
04-21-15 | New York Yankees v. Detroit Tigers OVER 8.5 | 5-2 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 12 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #968 - *8* OVER 8.5 in Detroit Tigers at NY Yankees @ 7:05 pm ET – The Detroit Tigers host the New York Yankees Tuesday. These two hard-hitting teams were quiet in Game 1 of this series, with the Tigers taking a 2-1 win. We expect those bats to wake up today in Game 2. Detroit enters this game averaging 5.38 runs while New York is putting 5.00 runs per game on the board. The Tigers go with starter Kyle Lobstein, who was called up from the minors in place of the injured Justin Verlander on April 12. He was solid in that effort but the Yankees did see him a bit last season and have more tape on the left hander now. New York goes with Nathan Eovaldi on the hill. He’s been solid in two starts but hasn’t been able to work deep into games due to command issues that have his pitch counts soaring. Play OVER 8.5 in Detroit as an *8* selection. |
04-20-15 | Minnesota Twins v. Kansas City Royals OVER 8 | Top | 1-7 | Push | 0 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #912 - *10* OVER 8 in Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota @ 8:10 pm ET – The Kansas City Royals host the Minnesota Twins Monday. The Royals are picking up where they left off last season with a strong start to 2015. Kansas City is hitting an MLB-best .313 and averaging 5.67 runs per game – second most in the major leagues. Minnesota, on the other hand, is having a tough time keeping opponents off the scoreboard. The Twins are allowing an ERA of 4.71 but have begun to fight back with their bats. They plated seven runs in a win over Cleveland Sunday and put eight runs on the Royals in their series finale last week, winning 8-5 and going Over the total. Kansas City opened that series with a 12-3 blowout on April 13. Kyle Gibson is on the mound for Minnesota. He was sharp against KC at home in his last start but was hammered on the road in Detroit in his season debut. He boasted a 4.68 ERA on the road last season. Play OVER 8 in Kansas City as a *10* selection. |
04-20-15 | New York Yankees v. Detroit Tigers OVER 8.5 | 1-2 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 13 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #910 - *8* OVER 8.5 in Detroit Tigers vs. NY Yankees @ 7:05 pm ET – The Detroit Tigers host the New York Yankees Monday. Detroit erupted for nine runs in a blowout win over the White Sox Sunday, returning to their early-season form at the plate. The Tigers opened the year with an explosive offensive show and after a brief hiatus, we expect that offense to return in Game 1 of this series. New York is also smashing the ball, totaling 24 runs in the past four games. The Yankees send aging ace CC Sabathia to the mound Monday. The left hander is off to a slow start to the season, allowing nine runs on 15 total hits through his first 12 2/3 innings. The Over is 3-0-1 in Sabathia’s last four starts versus Detroit. Play OVER 8.5 in Detroit as an *8* selection. |
04-19-15 | Texas Rangers v. Seattle Mariners OVER 7.5 | Top | 10-11 | Win | 105 | 8 h 34 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #978- *10* OVER 7.5 in Seattle Mariners vs. Texas @ 4:10 pm ET – The Seattle Mariners host the Texas Rangers Sunday. These American League West rivals have stayed Under the total in the first two games of this series but we expect this finale to fly Over the number Sunday afternoon. The Mariners are crushing the ball with 15 total home runs on the year, and just need to have some runners on base when they strike with the long ball to blow this game wide open. Seattle faces Texas starter Ross Detwiler, who is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA out of the gate. The left hander has allowed 13 runs on 18 hits and is having command issues after walking six batters through two starts. The Mariners have lefty James Paxton on the mound Sunday. He got roughed up for five runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings against Los Angeles last time out. Play OVER 7.5 in Seattle as a *10* selection. |
04-19-15 | Philadelphia Phillies v. Washington Nationals OVER 7 | 1-4 | Loss | -128 | 6 h 6 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #954 - *8* OVER 7 in Washington Nationals vs. Philadelphia @ 1:35 pm ET – The Washington Nationals host the Philadelphia Phillies Sunday. Philadelphia continues to give up runs in bulk, allowing a total of 27 runs in its last five games and going 4-0-1 O/U in that span. The Phillies march out right hander David Buchanan to the mound in this series finale. He’s 0-2 and lugging an ERA north of 11.00 to start the season. Buchanan was knocked around for five runs on nine hits in just under six innings against the Mets last time out. Washington goes with ace Stephen Strasburg, who is once again off to a slow start. The righty has given up 11 runs on 19 total hits in his first two starts, lasting just 5 1/3 innings in each of those outings. The Phillies and Nats have gone 3-0-1 O/U in their last four head-to-head meetings 5-2 O/U in Strasburg’s last seven starts versus Philadelphia. Play OVER 7 in Washington as an *8* selection |
04-18-15 | Baltimore Orioles v. Boston Red Sox OVER 8.5 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #920 - *10* OVER 8.5 in Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore @ 4:05 pm ET – The Boston Red Sox host the Baltimore Orioles Saturday. These American League East rivals remained quiet in the series open with a 3-2 game finishing Under the total, but both the Orioles and BoSox have leaned heavily toward the Over already this season and we expect those powerful offenses to step up Saturday. Baltimore was 4-1-1 Over/Under in the six game prior to Friday’s opener in Fenway Park, totaling 35 runs in that span. Boston has also paid out for Over backers, going on a 7-0 O/U streak in which the club totaled 46 runs. Both teams have also struggled keeping opponents off the scoreboard, which has added to those Over paydays. Baltimore goes with righty Chris Tillman on the mound Saturday, who was stung for seven runs on seven hits – two home runs – through just 2 2/3 innings against Toronto last time out. Boston starter Clay Buchholz was roughed up for 10 runs in his last outing, giving up nine hits – two home runs – and making it just 3 1/1 innings into that start versus the Yankees. Play OVER 8.5 in Boston as a *10* selection. |
04-18-15 | Atlanta Braves v. Toronto Blue Jays OVER 8 | 5-6 | Win | 110 | 6 h 36 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #930 - *8* OVER 8 in Toronto Blue Jays vs. Atlanta @ 1:05 pm ET – The Toronto Blue Jays host the Atlanta Braves Saturday. These teams trumped the total with an 8-7 Braves win on Friday, marking the third straight game Atlanta has gone Over the number and sixth time in their 11 game Toronto has played Over. The Braves continue to allow big numbers at the plated, giving up 21 totals runs in their last three outings. The Blue Jays have also been hit for big scores, allowing 19 runs in their past three contests. Toronto goes with knuckleballer RA Dickey on the mound Saturday. While he has looked good at times, he’s struggled with his command on that pitch, walking eight batters in two starts. Those off pitches could be a forerunner for a bad performance from Dickey, who when he’s off is usually hit very hard. These interleague rivals have gone Over the total in five of their last six meetings. Play OVER 8 in Toronto as an *8* selection. |
04-17-15 | Cleveland Indians v. Minnesota Twins OVER 7.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -107 | 13 h 36 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #972 - *8* OVER 7.5 in Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland @ 8:10 pm ET – The Minnesota Twins host the Cleveland Indians Friday. Minnesota is fresh off an 8-5 win over Kansas City that played Over the total Thursday night and has given up runs in bunch so far this season. The Twins enter this series with a 5.68 ERA – dead last in the majors – and have played Over the total in four of their last five contests. Minnesota hands the ball to Mike Pelfrey, who was chased after just five innings in his first start of the season after allowing four runs – two home runs – on seven hits versus the White Sox. Cleveland counters with ace Corey Kluber, who limited the Tigers to just two runs despite allowing seven hits and last 6 1/3 innings. His pitch count has climbed past 100 in his last two starts, something the Tribe have to be concerned about. Cleveland has shown some pop in its bats, scoring four or more runs in five of its last six games. The Twins and Indians have gone Over in four of their last five head-to-head encounters. Play OVER 7.5 in Minnesota as an *8* selection. |
04-17-15 | Atlanta Braves v. Toronto Blue Jays OVER 8 | 8-7 | Win | 100 | 12 h 30 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #980 - *8* OVER 8 in Toronto Blue Jays vs. Atlanta @ 7:05 pm ET – The Toronto Blue Jays host the Atlanta Braves Friday. Toronto has watched its offense go up and down during this week, following a 12-run explosion with a 2-run effort in a loss to the Rays Thursday. However, the Blue Jays bats are looking to feast on a Braves team that just gave up 14 runs in their final two games versus the Marlins. Atlanta was hit hard in those two games and played Over the total in both. The Braves send starter Julio Teheran to the mound after two impressive starts to open the year. However, the right hander hasn’t faced a lineup as deep and powerful as the Jays and his control was lacking in his last outing. Those misplaced pitches can end up on the other side of the wall pretty quick in Toronto. The Blue Jays counter with Drew Hutchinson, who was blasted for seven runs on seven hits – two home runs – versus thre Orioles in his second start of the season. He lasted only 4 1/3 innings. These interleague rivals have gone Over the total in four of their last five head-to-head meetings. Play OVER 8 in Toronto as an *8* selection. |
04-16-15 | Tampa Bay Rays v. Toronto Blue Jays OVER 8 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 48 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #912 - *10* OVER 8 in Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tampa Bay @ 7:05 pm ET – The Toronto Blue Jays host the Tampa Bay Rays Thursday. Toronto beat the Rays in a 12-7 run-fest Wednesday night, with the teams combining for 24 hits. The Jays’ bats woke up after taking a snooze for two games to start this series, and are averaging 5.89 runs to start the season – fourth most in the majors. Toronto gives the ball back to Aaron Sanchez, who struggled with his command in his first major league start. He lasted just over three innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits – two of which were home runs versus Baltimore last week. Tampa Bay goes with starter Chris Archer, who looked solid in his season debut. However, Archer was facing the Marlins thin lineup and not the deep threats that Toronto possesses. The Over has gone 5-2 in his last seven starts versus the Blue Jays. Play OVER 8 in Toronto as a *10* selection. |
04-16-15 | Milwaukee Brewers v. St. Louis Cardinals OVER 7.5 | 0-4 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 28 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #902 - *8* OVER 7.5 in St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee @ 1:45 pm ET – The St. Louis Cardinals host the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday. The Cardinals offense is picking up steam the past two series, totaling 23 runs over the past five games. St. Louis has gone 3-2 Over/Under in that span, and is starting to cash in its baserunners after leaving plenty of men stranded to start the season. They face Brewers starter Mike Fiers, who was knocked around for five runs in five innings against San Diego in his season debut, allowing one home run and four doubles. Cardinals starter John Lackey also gave up some power hits in his last start, serving up two home runs to the Reds. We expect those issues to continue in this Thursday game. Play OVER 7.5 in St. Louis as an *8* selection. |
04-15-15 | Washington Nationals v. Boston Red Sox OVER 8.5 | Top | 10-5 | Win | 106 | 6 h 50 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #976 - *10* OVER 8.5 in Boston Red Sox vs. Washington @ 1:35 pm ET – The Boston Red Sox host the Washington Nationals Wednesday. These teams trashed the total for the second straight night with an 8-7 Red Sox win Tuesday and have scored a combined 28 runs in the first two games of this series. Boston has played Over the number in six straight games and is 7-1 Over/Under on the season, averaging 6.38 runs per game while boasting a 4.16 ERA in those eight games. The Nationals were supposed to be among the more stingy squads in the majors this season but the top of their rotation has been roughed up, sending starter Gio Gonzalez to the bump Wednesday. Gonzalez could hang on against the Phillies in his first start of the year, falling apart in the seventh, and now takes on a much deeper lineup in Boston. Wade Miley toes the rubber for the Red Sox, making his Fenway Park debut. He gave up just two runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings versus the Yankees in his first start but we do expect some home-debut jitters in front of the Fenway faithful, who can be hard to win over. Play OVER 8.5 in Boston as a *10* selection. |
04-14-15 | Tampa Bay Rays v. Toronto Blue Jays OVER 8 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #914 - *10* OVER 8 in Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tamp Bay @ 7:05 pm ET – The Toronto Blue Jays host the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday. Toronto and Tampa Bay played to a quiet 2-1 Rays victory Monday in the series opener but we are expecting the offense to open up in Game 2 Tuesday. Toronto has shown its power at the plate, splitting small nights with explosive scoring, pushing 12 and 10 runs past home plate in wins over Baltimore last week. The Jays are 4-2-1 Over/Under to start the season and look to feast on a Rays rotation that is looking to its bullpen to help offset a rash of injuries to its starters. Tampa Bay hands the ball to Matt Andriese for his first MLB start Tuesday. Toronto goes with Daniel Norris, who looked solid in his first start of the season versus the Yankees but also gave up to solo home runs. Play OVER 8 in Toronto as a *10* selection. |
04-14-15 | Washington Nationals v. Boston Red Sox OVER 8 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 10 h 5 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #922 - *8* OVER 8 in Boston Red Sox vs. Washington @ 6:10 pm ET – The Boston Red Sox host the Washington Nationals Tuesday. The Red Sox are crushing the baseball to start the season, averaging 6.14 runs per game and hitting nine home runs already heading into Tuesday. Boston blasted Washington for a 9-4 win that blew away the total Monday and now set their sights on Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg. The right hander struggled in his season debut, giving up six runs on nine hits through just 5 1-3 innings of work. He has trouble with his command, issuing three walks and hitting one batter. Washington hasn’t been impressive at the plate so far this season but has plated four runs in each of its last two games. Justin Masterson makes his Beantown debut for the Red Sox. He was solid against the Phillies in his first start of the year but his fastball lacked zip and he faces a much more dangerous lineup Tuesday. Play OVER 8 in Boston as an *8* selection. |
04-13-15 | Kansas City Royals v. Minnesota Twins OVER 8.5 | Top | 12-3 | Win | 106 | 8 h 37 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #964 - *10* OVER 8.5 in Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City @ 4:10 pm ET – The Minnesota Twins host the Kansas City Royals Monday. The Twins are off to a rough start to the season, getting blasted by American League Central rivals. They’ve allowed 33 runs through the first six games of the season and are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox Sunday. Kansas City comes into this new week swinging a hot bat, plating almost seven runs per game to start the season. The Royals are hitting .327 BA – second best in the majors – and have crushed nine home runs in those first six games. Minnesota goes with Trevor May on the mound Monday. The right hander is making his 2015 debut, coming off a September to forget last year, in replacement of Ricky Nolasco in the rotation. May had a 8.24 ERA at home with a 1-3 record in four starts in Minnesota. Play OVER 8.5 in Minnesota as an *10* selection. |
04-13-15 | Detroit Tigers v. Pittsburgh Pirates OVER 7 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 2 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #974 - *8* OVER 7 in Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Detroit @ 1:35 pm ET – The Pittsburgh Pirates host the Detroit Tigers Monday. The Tigers have smashed the Over in five of their first six games of the season, plating almost eight runs per game and hitting a major-league best .355 BA. Detroit is fresh off a series sweep of the Cleveland Indians, recording 25 total runs in that three-game set. Pittsburgh is also coming off an offensive explosion, scoring 10 runs in a blowout win against Milwaukee Sunday. Pittsburgh sends starter Gerrit Cole to the mound, coming off a 5-inning effort in which he allowed three runs on five hits and threw 93 pitches in that short span. He won’t be able to dance around the Tigers’ deep lineup and if he does challenge those power bats, he could get roughed up for big hits Monday. The Pirates have gone Over the total in seven of their last 10 interleague games while Detroit has gone Over in five straight road games going back to last season. Play OVER 7 in Pittsburgh as an *8* selection. |
04-12-15 | Chicago Cubs v. Colorado Rockies OVER 9.5 | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 24 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #910 - *6* OVER 9.5 in Colorado Rockies vs. Chicago Cubs @ 4:10 pm ET – The Colorado Rockies host the Chicago Cubs Saturday. These teams blew away the total with a 9-5 Cubs win Saturday with 24 hits between them. Colorado has plated 30 total runs in its first five games of the season, hitting .321 BA and averaging six runs a contest. The Rockies have also launched seven home runs and should have a few more powerful pops of the bat with this game inside homer-friendly Coors Field. Chicago blasted three home runs in Saturday’s win and its 12 hits equalled their combined total from the first three games of the year. Colorado gives the ball to Jordan Lyles, who looked solid in his first outing of the season but that start did come in Milwaukee. Taking on the thin air in Coors Field is a much different task. The Rockies have gone 6-1 O/U in Lyles last seven starts at home and have gone Over in 14 of their previous 20 home stands versus Chicago. Play OVER 9.5 in Colorado as a *6* selection. |
04-12-15 | St. Louis Cardinals v. Cincinnati Reds OVER 7.5 | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 25 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #902 - *6* OVER 7.5 in Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis @ 1:10 pm ET – The Cincinnati Reds host the St. Louis Cardinals in the final game of their three-game set Opening Week. The Cardinals have pushed four runs past home plate the past two games, including a 5-4 loss on Friday that topped the 8-run total. They face highly-touted Raisel Iglesias, who take the hill for the Reds. He is making his MLB debut after signing a monster deal last season and skipped any time in the minors, jumping right into an inconsistent spring season. We expect some jitters from Iglesias in his first go around with big-league bats. St. Louis counters with Carlos Martinez, who makes the moves from reliever to starter this season. He boasted a 4.03 ERA in 2014 and when asked to step into the starters role he struggled to go deep into games, with St. Louis going 4-0 O/U in his last four starts. We don’t see much value in his first outing, expecting an abbreviated appearance from both pitchers Sunday. Play OVER 7.5 in Cincinnati as a *6* selection. |
04-11-15 | Toronto Blue Jays v. Baltimore Orioles OVER 8.5 | Top | 1-7 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 23 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #974 - *10* OVER 8.5 in Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto @ 7:10 pm ET – The Baltimore Orioles host the Toronto Blue Jays Saturday. These American League East rivals flattened the total with a 12-5 Toronto victory Friday night. The Blue Jays are smacking the cover off the ball to start the season, hitting .271 BA and pushing an average of 6.75 runs over the plate in their first four games, playing Over the number in three straight heading into Saturday. The Orioles are also 3-1 Over/Under to start the season, scoring a total of 17 runs in four games including six home runs, which ranks second most in the majors. Baltimore hands the ball to inconsistent hurler Ubaldo Jimenez, who struggled with life in the AL East last season. He’s known for his slow starts to the year and owns a career 5.23 ERA in April. On the other side, Toronto is debuting starter Aaron Sanchez. The righty pitched out of the bullpen last season with some impressive numbers but faces a hard-hitting Baltimore lineup in this game with some debut jitters. Play Over 8.5 in Baltimore as an *10* selection. |

04-11-15 | Tampa Bay Rays v. Miami Marlins OVER 7 | 2-0 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 29 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #980 - *8* OVER 7 Miami Marlins vs. Tampa Bay @ 4:10 pm ET – The Miami Marlins host the Tampa Bay Rays Saturday. These Florida rivals blew away the total with a 10-9 Marlins victory Friday, topping the 7.5-run number. Miami finally shook off a season-opening offensive slump with that performance, recording 13 hits and getting three RBIs from slugger Giancarlo Stanton. The Marlins, however, continued to allow big runs on the other side of the plate. Miami has given up a total of 25 runs through the first four games of the season and turn the ball over to righty Jarred Cosart for Saturday’s game. Cosart was mired in controversy this spring when his involvement in sports betting were brought to light and he’s been battling blister issues, which push this start back. He’s a great pitcher with solid stuff but expect a down night from Cosart and jump on this opportunity. Tampa Bay has opened the season 3-1 Over/Under and allowed 22 runs in its first four games. The Rays go back to Chris Archer, who was knocked around for three runs in just under six innings, including two home runs, in his first starts of the year. The Over is 7-3-2 in Archer’s last 12 starts overall. Play Over 7 in Miami as an *8* selection. |
04-11-15 | St. Louis Cardinals v. Cincinnati Reds OVER 6.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -114 | 5 h 29 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #952 - *8* OVER 6.5 Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis @ 1:10 pm ET – The Cincinnati Reds host the St. Louis Cardinals Saturday. These NL Central rivals opened this series with a 5-4 Cincinnati win Thursday that played Over the 8-run total. The Reds have come out swinging this season, plating five runs in three of their first four games, going 2-1-1 O/U in that span. Cincinnati capitalized on two home runs from slugger Joey Votto Thursday and already has six total homers on the season. The Reds face Cubs pitcher Michael Wacha, who was very inconsistent last season, and counter with ace Johnny Cueto on the mound which is why this total is so low. St. Louis bats have shown flash and actually registered 10 hits in Friday’s loss, leaving eight runners on base. The Cardinals are too good a team to waste those opportunities again, and with the Reds crushing the ball, we can see this game easily going Over the 6.5-run total. Play Over 6.5 Cincinnati as an *8* selection. |
04-10-15 | Boston Red Sox v. New York Yankees OVER 7.5 | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 11 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #924 - *6* OVER 7.5 in New York Yankees vs. Boston @ 8:05 pm ET – The New York Yankees host the Boston Red Sox Friday. The Yankees were beat up in their three-game opening series with the Blue Jays, allowing a total of 15 runs in those contests including a 6-3 loss Thursday. New York owns a 4.00 ERA and has now played Over in five of their last six home games going back to last season. The Yankees hand the ball to starter Nathan Eovaldi, who struggled at the end of the year in the National League in 2014 and now faces the hard-hitting AL East. Boston crushed the Phillies in two of their three opening games, outscoring Philadelphia 16-6 in those contests including a 6-2 win Thursday. The Red Sox have gone Over in five of their last six meetings with AL East rivals and are 6-2 O/U in their last eight against the Bronx Bombers. Play OVER 7.5 in NY Yankees as a *6* selection. |
04-10-15 | Detroit Tigers v. Cleveland Indians OVER 7.5 | 8-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #918 - *6* OVER 7.5 in Cleveland Indians vs. Detroit @ 4:10 pm ET – The Cleveland Indians host the Detroit Tigers Friday. Detroit hasn’t wasted any time crushing the baseball to start the season, plating seven runs in a win over Minnesota Thursday and totaling 24 runs in that three-game opening series. The Tigers are hitting a major-league best .343 BA and averaging 7.33 runs per game to start the year. Cleveland sends righty Zach McAllister to the mound to slow down Detroit’s booming bats. McAllister looked solid during spring ball in his conversion to a full-time starter but struggled in that role with a 5.67 ERA as starter in 2014. The Tribe could turn to their offense to help support McAllister, driving in five runs in their finale with Houston Thursday. Cleveland’s pitching staff was able to lock down the Astros to just three runs through three game but this Detroit lineup is a much tougher challenge. These AL Central rivals have gone Over the total in four straight meetings going back to 2014. Play OVER 7.5 in Cleveland as a *6* selection. |
04-09-15 | Texas Rangers v. Oakland A's OVER 7.5 | 10-1 | Win | 102 | 8 h 8 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #964 - *6* OVER 7.5 in Oakland A’s vs. Texas @ 3:35 pm ET – The Oakland A’s host the Texas Rangers Thursday. The Athletics and Rangers have gone Over in two of their first three games of this Opening Week series, including a 10-0 blasting by Oakland that singlehandedly topped the total Wednesday. The A’s have opened the season averaging 6.33 runs per game and hitting .283 BA. Oakland gives Kendall Graveman his first major league start Thursday after pitching in relief for Toronto last season. There is plenty of buzz around the youngster but we expect some jitters in his first big-league start. The Rangers are going with Nick Martinez as the starter. He rounded into form late in his rookie season but finished with a 4.55 ERA overall. Texas and Oakland have played Over the total in seven of their last 11 meetings and have gone Over in five of their last six inside O.co Coliseum. Play on OVER 7.5 in Oakland as a *6* selection. |
04-09-15 | Minnesota Twins v. Detroit Tigers OVER 8.5 | 1-7 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 39 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #958 - *6* OVER 8.5 in Detroit Tigers vs. Minnesota @ 1:08 pm ET – The Detroit Tigers have hammered the Minnesota Twins in their first two games of this Opening Week series. The Tigers have outscored the Twins 15-0, including an 11-0 victory that went Over the total Wednesday. Detroit’s big-swinging lineup is in fine form to start the year, hitting a collective .362 BA out of the gate. Minnesota sends Kyle Gibson to the mound for Game 3. The righty was terribly inconsistent last season, looking tremendous in his wins and wretched in his losses. Gibson looked shaky in his final spring start and was 2-3 with a 6.00 ERA in six starts against Detroit last season. The Tigers go with Shane Greene on the mound. He stumbled toward the end of last season with the Yankees as teams got more tape on his pitches. The Twins don’t need to score much to push this total Over the top since the Tigers are doing all the heavy lifting. These AL Central foes have gone Over in nine of their previous 13 encounters. Play on OVER 8.5 in Detroit as a *6* selection. |
04-08-15 | San Francisco Giants v. Arizona Diamondbacks OVER 9 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 60 m | Show |
Rickenbach MLB Game #912 - *10* OVER 9 in Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco @ 9:40 pm ET – The Arizona Diamondback host the San Francisco Giants Wednesday. These teams erupted for an Over winner Tuesday, with Arizona winning 7-6 and topping the 8.5-run total. The D-backs and Giants have started the season with back-to-back Over winners, scoring a combined 22 runs in their first two games of the season. Arizona hands the ball to Jeremy Hellickson who was shaky in spring training and was limited by elbow surgery in 2014. Hellickson is a control pitcher and depends on his command, which is something that pitchers need a few starts to work into during the early season. San Francisco marches Chris Heston out to the mound in place of Matt Cain, who in on the DL. Heston got the call from Triple-A Sacramento and has made his major league debut at the tail end of last season. He could be offered up to wolves with the way the Diamondbacks are swinging the bats to start the season. Play OVER 9 in Arizona as a *10* selection. |
04-08-15 | Boston Red Sox v. Philadelphia Phillies OVER 7.5 | 2-4 | Loss | -101 | 11 h 17 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #930 - *8* OVER 7.5 in Philadelphia Phillies vs. Boston @ 7:05 pm ET – The Philadelphia Phillies host the Boston Red Sox Wednesday. Boston erupted with an 8-0 flattening of Philadelphia in Game 1 of this Opening Week series and take those hot bats into this Wednesday matchup. The Red Sox singlehandedly topped the total Monday, getting two home runs from new addition Hanley Ramirez. Boston’s lineup is loaded and looks to punish Phillies pitcher Aaron Harang. Harang was up and down during spring ball and hasn’t faced the power of the AL East that much in his career. He has a career 2-2 record and 5.08 ERA in five starts against the Red Sox. Boston sends starter Rick Porcello to the mound for his team debut. There could be some nerves early on from Porcello, who needs to prove to loyal Red Sox fans he’s worth the new four-year, $82.5 million deal he signed with the club this week. Those jitters could open opportunity for the Phillies to get some runners on base in the opening innings. Philadelphia has gone Over in five of its last eight as a home underdog while Boston is 6-1 O/U in its last seven overall, going back to last season. Play OVER 7.5 in Philadelphia as an *8* selection. |
04-07-15 | Baltimore Orioles v. Tampa Bay Rays OVER 7.5 | 6-5 | Win | 111 | 11 h 0 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #962 - *8* OVER 7.5 in Tampa Bay Rays vs. Baltimore @ 7:10 pm ET – The Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles play Game 2 of their season-opening series Tuesday. The Orioles took Game 1 with a 6-2 win, hitting three home runs while the Rays countered with a solo homer from Evan Longoria. Tampa Bay sends starter Nathan Karns to the mound for Tuesday. Karns is making just his third start for the Rays in two seasons after sending most of his time in the minors. The right hander has been spotty in his performance and while he has solid strikeout power he always gets roughed up challenging pitchers. Baltimore’s big swingers should feast on those fastballs, especially with slugger Chris Davis returning from suspension. Monday’s game topped the 7-run total and Tampa Bay has gone Over in six of their last eight games going back to last season. Play OVER 7.5 in Tampa Bay as an *8* selection. |
04-06-15 | Chicago White Sox +115 v. Kansas City Royals | 1-10 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 31 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #919 - *8* Chi White Sox moneyline at Kansas City @ 4:10 pm ET – The Kansas City Royals host the Chicago White Sox on Opening Day Monday. The Royals are trying to avoid a World Series hangover after getting edged in the Fall Classic this October. Kansas City offers the ball to second-year starter Yordano Ventura for the season opener, with playoff hero James Shields lured away during free agency. Ventura was up-and-down versus the White Sox last season, boasting a 4.76 ERA over three starts against Chicago. The White Sox enter 2015 as a dark horse AL contender, especially with the likes of Jeff Samardzija in the rotation. Chicago debuts their newest hurler, who finished with a 3.14 ERA in Oakland after being dealt from the Cubs last season. The White Sox also boosted their batting order with Adam LaRoche and Melky Cabrera and improved the bullpen with closer David Robertson handling the late innings. We see great value with this underrated ChiSox team and expect the Royals to take a step back this year. Play Chi White Sox as an *8* selection. |
04-06-15 | Toronto Blue Jays v. New York Yankees OVER 8 | 6-1 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 26 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #914 - *8* OVER 8 in NY Yankees vs. Toronto @ 1:05 pm ET – The New York Yankees host the Toronto Blue Jays on Opening Day Monday. New York sends starter Masahiro Tanaka to the hill for the season opener but the right hander is currently battling through a nagging ulnar collateral ligament injury. Tanaka will be under a close eye of Yankees management and will likely be limited in his pitchers, getting the hook in the first sign of trouble. Toronto counters with Drew Hutchison as its starter on Opening Day. Hutchinson was knocked around by the Bronx Bombers last season, going just 2-4 with a hefty 5.17 ERA. The Blue Jays bring plenty of power to the table again, with the middle of the order featuring the dangerous bats of Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and newly acquired 3B Josh Donaldson, who hit .255 BA with 29 home runs and 98 RBIs in Oakland last year. The Jays and Yankees have gone 6-2-1 O/U in their last nine head-to-head meetings inside Yankee Stadium. Play OVER 8 in NY Yankees as an *8* selection. |
04-05-15 | St. Louis Cardinals -108 v. Chicago Cubs | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 14 h 50 m | Show
Rickenbach MLB Game #997 - *8* St. Louis Cardinals moneyline vs. Chicago @ 8:05 pm ET – The St. Louis Cardinals visit the Chicago Cubs in Sunday’s MLB Opening Night matchup. The hype surrounding the Cubs this season is already getting out of hand and we’ve seen that with this early moneyline swing. There is tremendous value waiting with the Cardinals, especially with Chicago a little too overexcited about this Sunday season opener. St. Louis sends steady veteran Adam Wainwright to the hill. Despite some health issue this winter, the right hander has looked good in spring sessions and went 93 pitches deep into his last tuneup start. Wainwright posted 14 scoreless innings in his last two efforts versus the Cubs. Chicago is still figuring out its roster after a very busy offseason and it will take new manager Joe Maddon time to build the chemistry his clubs showed in Tampa Bay. We’re predicting some growing pains for the Cubbies in the early goings, starting with this Opening Night matchup with St. Louis. Play St. Louis moneyline as an *8* selection. |
