04-08-23 | Royals +122 v. Giants | Top | 6-5 | Win | 122 | 6 h 31 m | Show |
Hoping to end the run of power displays by the Giants following losses will be Royals right-hander Brady Singer (1-0, 1.80 ERA). He will attempt to duplicate a fine effort in a 9-5 home win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday. He worked the first five innings, limiting the visitors to one run on two hits. Singer, 26, has faced the Giants just once in his four-year career, going five innings in the Royals' 6-2 loss at San Francisco on June 13, 2022. He did not get a decision after allowing two runs on two hits. Both runs off Singer in that game were walked home. He is scheduled to be opposed by left-hander Sean Manaea (0-0, 13.50 ERA), who will take his fifth crack at his former organization, this time in a third different uniform. Manaea will be making his first home start since joining the Giants as a free agent in December. He spent 2022 with the rival San Diego Padres, who picked him up in a trade from the Oakland Athletics before the season. The 31-year-old veteran pitched in relief during the Giants' season-opening trip, going two innings against the White Sox on Monday and allowed three runs and two hits. He did not get a decision in San Francisco's 12-3 win. |

04-07-23 | Padres v. Braves -115 | 5-4 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 32 m | Show
Jared Shuster is the Atlanta Braves' top prospect, but his major league debut on Sunday didn't go according to hopes. The 24-year-old left-hander, who was the Braves' first-round draft pick (25th overall) in 2020, gave up four runs on six hits and five walks, with one strikeout, in 4 2/3 innings during a 4-1 loss against the Washington Nationals. That game was Atlanta's only loss this season. Following that contest, the Braves optioned Shuster to Triple-A. However, he was recalled to Atlanta on Thursday, and he will make a second start on Friday against the visiting San Diego Padres in the second game of a four-game series. Already without Max Fried, who went on the injured list after sustaining a left hamstring strain in the season opener, the Braves placed right-hander Collin McHugh on the injured list due to right shoulder inflammation on Thursday. That move allowed them to bring back Shuster. Braves manager Brian Snitker didn't call this a second chance for Shuster (0-1, 7.71 ERA). |

04-07-23 | Reds v. Phillies -1.5 | 2-5 | Win | 115 | 4 h 13 m | Show
The defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies finally get to play before their fans as they host the Cincinnati Reds in their 2023 home opener on Friday. When they do so, they'll hope to field a healthy lineup. Outfielder Brandon Marsh was scratched before Wednesday's game with a sprained left ankle, and first baseman Darick Hall was forced out of Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the New York Yankees with a right thumb sprain. The Phillies went 1-5 in their season-opening six-game road trip through Texas and New York before Thursday's scheduled home opener was pushed back due to the weather. The Phillies already lost Rhys Hoskins to a torn ACL and Bryce Harper isn't expected back until the All-Star break as he rehabs from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. There was good news this week as Harper took live batting practice before Wednesday's game in New York, but the biggest concern the Phillies have with him is not swinging the bat. It's running the bases and potentially sliding headfirst. |
|||||||
04-07-23 | Yankees -1.5 v. Orioles | Top | 6-7 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
The Yankees have won both of their series this season. Now comes an added challenge. New York will play its first road game at Baltimore, hoping to extend its early run of good fortune. It will be the home opener for the Orioles, which was delayed a day because of the forecast of severe inclement weather on Thursday. Friday was a scheduled off day. The Orioles split their road series to open the season, losing two of three against the Boston Red Sox before winning two of three against the Texas Rangers. For the Yankees, a good tone has been established in large part because of Gleyber Torres, who's batting .421 and has two home runs, six RBIs and five stolen bases. |
|||||||
04-06-23 | Giants v. White Sox -128 | 16-6 | Loss | -128 | 11 h 26 m | Show
Right-hander Lance Lynn (0-0, 3.18 ERA) is set to start for Chicago. He limited the Houston Astros to two runs and three hits with four walks and six strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings during his season debut on Friday. While Lynn took a no-decision, he nevertheless faulted himself for yielding a two-run homer to the Astros' Kyle Tucker on his final pitch of the night, helping Houston pull within one run. |
|||||||
04-06-23 | Blue Jays v. Royals +1.5 | Top | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 49 m | Show |
Toronto struggled with KC for six innings Wednesday, still not playing their best baseball. We'll take the plus money with the run-line until the Jays break out. |
|||||||
04-05-23 | Blue Jays v. Royals +164 | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
The Toronto Blue Jays began the season by being extremely generous from a pitching standpoint before getting downright stingy in their most recent outing. Alek Manoah will look to atone for a tough season-opening performance when he takes the mound on Wednesday night against fellow right-hander Zack Greinke and the host Kansas City Royals. Manoah (0-0, 13.50 ERA) surrendered five runs on nine hits -- including two homers -- in 3 1/3 innings of a no-decision in his team's loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Opening Day. The 25-year-old told the Toronto Sun that the Blue Jays' rotation needs to get more aggressive, and he was quick to point the finger at himself. "One thing I've got to remember is I'm really good myself," Manoah said. "Sometimes you might go in there and face a good lineup, and the act of giving them a lot of credit makes them even better. "Sometimes, you try to overthink pitches just because it's a really good lineup. Looking back, when I'm attacking, I'm hard to hit. That's always when I'm going to be at my best. I just need to do a little more of that." Manoah has done that in each of his three career outings vs. the Royals. He is 3-0 with a 0.45 ERA while striking out 14 in 20 innings against them. |
|||||||
04-05-23 | Giants v. White Sox -129 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 1 h 40 m | Show |
After holding the reigning World Series champion Houston Astros in check on Opening Day, Chicago White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease now braces for the slugging San Francisco Giants. San Francisco, which clubbed seven home runs Monday to spoil Chicago's home opener, will look to stay hot as the series continues Wednesday following an open date. "I think it was just continuing to get our 'A' swings off," Giants third baseman David Villar said. "The important thing for us is continuing to get those really good swings off and not being hesitant about making them. If we're going to make a swing, let's make it with intent. I think that really showed [Monday], one through nine." Villar led the surge from the No. 6 hole, homering twice while collecting five RBIs. He had one of the team's four fifth-inning home runs against White Sox starter Michael Kopech. Cease (0-0, 1.42 ERA) stands in San Francisco's way after limiting the Astros to one run and two hits in 6 1/3 innings Thursday. The runner-up in the 2022 American League Cy Young race, Cease walked zero while fanning 10, matching Jack McDowell's 1991 club record for most strikeouts in the season opener. |
|||||||
04-05-23 | Orioles v. Rangers UNDER 8 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 1 h 42 m | Show |
All eyes will be on the starting pitchers Wednesday as the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles close out a three-game series in Arlington, Texas. Two-time Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom is scheduled to make his second start for the Rangers, while Orioles top pitching prospect Grayson Rodriguez was called up Wednesday morning make his major league debut. It's likely Rodriguez will have a crowd of family and friend in the stands. He won a state 3A championship at Central Heights High School in Nacogdoches, Texas -- about a three-hour drive from Arlington. And they'll also see the Orioles going for a sweep and their ninth straight victory over the Rangers dating back to last July. Texas, meanwhile, is hoping to find its way back to the winning side behind its ace. deGrom (0-0, 12.27 ERA), who joined the Rangers on a five-year, $185 million contract in the offseason, had a rough debut against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. He allowed five runs and a career-high six extra-base hits over just 3 2/3 innings, though Texas went on to win 11-7. |
|||||||
04-04-23 | Guardians v. A's UNDER 7 | 3-4 | Push | 0 | 11 h 45 m | Show
The Cleveland Guardians hope a strong pitching performance from ace right-hander Shane Bieber will keep them from another extra-innings scenario when they continue a three-game road series against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night. The Guardians had to go extras on the West Coast for a second consecutive time on Monday night, but it worked out fine again when Jose Ramirez produced an RBI single in a two-run 10th inning that lifted them to a 12-11 win. Cleveland had outlasted the Seattle Mariners 6-5 in 10 innings in the Northwest series finale 24 hours earlier. The Guardians have won four in a row, having scored 29 runs since not giving Bieber (0-0, 0.00) any during his start on Opening Day vs. the Mariners. The right-hander had nothing to show except a spotless ERA after throwing six shutout innings Thursday. He struck out three and didn't allow a walk in his 87-pitch outing, allowing six hits. Cleveland lost the game 3-0. It's been nothing but positives since then for the Guardians, who got clutch hits from Ramirez not just in the game-winning 10th but also in a three-run rally in the eighth inning. Ramirez is now 7-for-22 (.318) for the season. |

04-04-23 | Phillies v. Yankees OVER 8.5 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
Through four games, the New York Yankees are off to a good start thanks to their power hitting. The Philadelphia Phillies, on the other hand, are winless in four games, unable to get clutch hits and prevent opponents from scoring often. New York looks to maintain its early power surge on Tuesday night when it hosts the winless Phillies in the middle game of a three-game series. The Yankees have hit multiple homers in their first four games of a season for the first time since 2011. After Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge and Kyle Higashioka connected on Sunday in a 6-0 blanking of the visiting San Francisco Giants, Gleyber Torres hit a solo homer and Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run blast in a five-run fifth Monday as New York cruised to an 8-1 rout of the Phillies in the series opener. |
|||||||
04-04-23 | Twins +1.5 v. Marlins | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
To oppose Alcantara, the Twins will start right-hander Kenta Maeda. In five career appearances (four starts) against the Marlins, he is 1-2 with a 2.28 ERA. After going 6-1 with a 2.70 ERA to finish second in voting for the AL Cy Young Award in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Maeda had a lackluster 2021 before missing all of last season due to Tommy John surgery. Tuesday marks his first start since Aug. 21, 2021. Maeda will hope to get offensive support from Joey Gallo. The first baseman off to a 4-for-13 (.308) start to the season with three homers and seven RBIs. Gallo also has a double and four runs. |
|||||||
04-03-23 | Guardians v. A's UNDER 7.5 | Top | 12-11 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 37 m | Show |
Under is 19-9 in Guardians last 28 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. |
|||||||
04-03-23 | Twins v. Marlins OVER 7.5 | 11-1 | Win | 100 | 19 h 40 m | Show
Over is 34-15-2 in Twins last 51 interleague road games and 20-6 in Twins last 26 interleague road games vs. a right-handed starter. |
|||||||
04-03-23 | Giants v. White Sox -126 | Top | 12-3 | Loss | -126 | 15 h 14 m | Show |
Giants are 0-5 in the last 5 meetings and 1-6 in their last 7 interleague games. |
|||||||
04-02-23 | Angels v. A's +136 | 6-0 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 6 m | Show
The Los Angeles Angels would like a third consecutive strong pitching performance -- and a second straight win -- when they complete their season-opening series against the host Oakland Athletics on Sunday. Following Shohei Ohtani and Patrick Sandoval on the mound for the Angels will be left-hander Tyler Anderson, who hopes to help the team clinch a series win after Los Angeles rebounded from a 2-1 defeat on Opening Day with a 13-1 shellacking of Oakland on Saturday. Anderson went 15-5 with a career-best 2.57 ERA last season. Oakland is expected to counter with lefty Ken Waldichuk (2-2, 4.93 ERA in 2022). Ohtani worked six shutout innings in the opener and Sandoval gave up one run over fine innings in the rematch before each handed the ball to the Los Angeles bullpen. The difference was that Ohtani led just 1-0, a deficit the A's erased in a two-run eighth, whereas Sandoval was up 12-1 when he departed. Anderson will make his first start for the Angels, continuing a tour of baseball's Western divisions. He starred for the Los Angeles Dodgers last season, following stints earlier in his career with the Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners, as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Angels signed Anderson to a three-year, $39 million deal in free agency over the winter. |

04-02-23 | Giants v. Yankees -139 | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 2 h 30 m | Show
Even as he pitched well in spring training, Jhony Brito's mentality was about pitching well with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and doing well enough to get a call from the New York Yankees. Due to injuries, the Yankees needed Brito much sooner; he will make his major league debut Sunday afternoon in the finale of a three-game series against the visiting San Francisco Giants. The Yankees opened the series with a 5-0 win on Thursday but went 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position in a 7-5 loss on Saturday. Giancarlo Stanton homered, Josh Donaldson also went deep and Aaron Judge had three hits. "It was very surprising because I was preparing myself to go to Triple-A," Brito said through an interpreter Saturday. "Things worked out very quickly and like I said, surprising. They told me, 'Hey you're coming with us on the road trip,' and my mentality was to go to Triple-A and take care of business in Triple-A and hopefully expect a call from the team at some point. Obviously, this developed much quicker, and here I am." Brito impressed the Yankees by going 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA in four spring training appearances. On March 25, in his second spring start, he wowed them by pitching 5 1/3 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, who fielded a lineup of most of their regulars. He surrendered no runs, hits or walks, and struck out three. |

04-02-23 | Orioles v. Red Sox -133 | Top | 5-9 | Win | 100 | 3 h 37 m | Show |
The Boston Red Sox have already shown great resilience two games into 2023. A pair of late-inning rallies have resulted in a win and a close loss, giving Boston the opportunity to win its opening series against the visiting Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon. "That was crazy," manager Alex Cora said. "But like I've been saying, offensively, we do believe this is going to happen. We're going to move the line. We're going to keep grinding." What was crazy was the end to Boston's 9-8 win on Saturday. It ended with a most improbable walk-off. A dropped fly ball offered on what should have been the third out offered the Red Sox a second life, and Adam Duvall took full advantage, socking a two-run home run over the Green Monster. The Red Sox overcame their largest deficit to win since 2019 after falling into a 7-1 hole after 2 1/2 innings. Led by Duvall (4-for-5, two homers, five RBIs), Boston tallied double-digit hit totals for the second straight game. Boston pitcher Tanner Houck looks to pick up where he left off in 2022, setting career-high marks in wins (five), appearances (32) and saves (eight). He didn't pitch after Aug. 2 due to a back injury. |

04-01-23 | Guardians +1.5 v. Mariners | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 12 h 32 m | Show
It would appear Cleveland's Steven Kwan and Seattle's Julio Rodriguez aren't worried about any sophomore slumps. Kwan finished third in the American League's Rookie of the Year voting last season behind Rodriguez and Baltimore's Adley Rutschman, Kwan's former teammate at Oregon State. Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double and matched his career high with five RBIs as the Guardians posted a 9-4 victory over the host Mariners on Friday night. Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI. The Guardians and Mariners are scheduled to continue their four-game series on Saturday night in Seattle. Kwan helped make sure the Guardians bounced back after being blanked 3-0 on Opening Night. |
|||||||
04-01-23 | Giants v. Yankees -136 | 7-5 | Loss | -136 | 6 h 53 m | Show
Speaking in the dugout about two hours before the first pitch of the new season was thrown, San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler conceded Aaron Judge was likely to do damage against his team. It took two pitches for Judge to hit his first homer of the new season to spark the New York Yankees to a 5-0 victory over the Giants on Opening Day. Judge and the Yankees look to clinch their first series win of the season Saturday when they host the Giants, who were unsuccessful in their offseason pursuit of the star. Judge and the Giants were expected to be linked this past winter. Judge has strong ties to Central California as he grew up in the region and later starred at Fresno State. He was a fan of the club and the Giants made an aggressive pursuit of the power hitter before the Yankees re-signed him to a nine-year, $360 million deal in December. |
|||||||
04-01-23 | Brewers v. Cubs UNDER 6.5 | Top | 3-1 | Win | 104 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
Milwaukee is looking to bounce back after being held to four singles and five walks in the opener. Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (13-4, 3.05 ERA in 2022) will take the mound against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele (4-7, 3.18). Woodruff, 30, is 2-2 with a 3.27 ERA in 16 career appearances (14 starts) against the Cubs, including 1-2 with a 3.68 ERA in nine career games (seven starts) at Wrigley Field. The two-time All-Star has a 2.79 ERA and 401 strikeouts in 57 starts across 332 2/3 innings over the last two seasons. Steele, 27, is hoping to build on his success from last season, when he started 24 games and recorded 126 strikeouts over 119 innings. Steele is 1-2 with a 2.70 ERA in 10 career appearances (eight starts) against Milwaukee, including 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA in four starts at Wrigley Field. |

03-31-23 | Guardians v. Mariners -155 | 9-4 | Loss | -155 | 20 h 58 m | Show
Guardians are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in Seattle and have lost four straight overall after dropping the first game of the series. |
|||||||
03-31-23 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers UNDER 8 | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 20 h 2 m | Show |
The Under is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings and 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles |
|||||||
03-31-23 | Rockies v. Padres -1.5 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 24 m | Show |
The Rockies are 29-78 in their last 107 road games vs. a right-handed starter. Nice win to start the season, the good fortune ends tonight. |
|||||||
03-30-23 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 2-8 | Loss | -120 | 17 h 54 m | Show |
It will be a decade-long playoff participant against a team in a half-decade postseason drought Thursday when the Los Angeles Dodgers play host to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Opening Day. Despite vast differences in the standings in recent seasons, both squads share certain similarities. High-upside youngsters will take the field for both teams, while the closer spot appears to be a work in progress for each. They are each likely to have strong outfield defenses. While the Diamondbacks hope to continue the upward trajectory that started last season, the Dodgers are out to prove they still are one of baseball's top teams after a franchise-record 111 regular-season victories in 2022. But with staff ace Walker Buehler expected to miss most of the season after Tommy John surgery, shortstop Trea Turner departing for a free-agent deal with the Philadelphia Phillies and his replacement, Gavin Lux, out for the season with a knee injury, Los Angeles' intimidating exterior appears to have some weak spots. The Dodgers will see what they can get from Trayce Thompson and 25-year-old rookie James Outman in center field, while rookie Miguel Vargas, 23, takes over at second base after never playing there as a minor leaguer and veteran Miguel Rojas starts at short. The Dodgers will need plenty from veteran All-Stars like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman at the top of the order, and Max Muncy in the cleanup spot after showing this spring that he is ready to rebound from a season that fell below expectations. |
|||||||
03-30-23 | Twins v. Royals +1.5 | 2-0 | Loss | -123 | 11 h 59 m | Show
Right-hander Pablo Lopez won't have to wait long to make his debut with the Minnesota Twins. After he was traded to the Twins in late January, Lopez will look to make a positive first impression Thursday when he takes on the host Kansas City Royals on Opening Day. Lopez (10-10, 3.75 ERA in 2022) came over from the Miami Marlins, with whom he spent the first five seasons of his career. Minnesota also acquired a pair of prospects in the deal, but it came at a cost, as the Twins dealt reigning American League batting champion Luis Arraez to the Marlins. "I could see why so many fans were upset in a way because they traded such a good player," Lopez said. "That's just encouraging. They traded Luis Arraez to bring me in. ... It made me want to try harder. |

03-30-23 | Giants +1.5 v. Yankees | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -133 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
For a few weeks during the offseason, an awkward possibility existed of Aaron Judge wearing the uniform of the San Francisco Giants and lining up along the visiting baseline while getting introduced to fans at Yankee Stadium. Instead, Judge re-signed with the New York Yankees, and the slugger will be officially introduced as the 16th captain in team history Thursday afternoon in New York's home opener against the Giants. After hitting 62 homers to break Roger Maris' single-season American League home run record, Judge spent a little over a month in free agency and the Giants were among the teams vying for his services. The Giants made such an effort to lure the California native that they reportedly offered him a $360 million contract. After a phone call from managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner, Judge was retained by the Yankees on a nine-year, $360 million deal. And when Judge's new contract was official, the Yankees also named him as the team's first captain since Derek Jeter retired following the 2014 season. Judge will take the field with a shortstop drawing comparisons to Jeter when top prospect Anthony Volpe makes his major league debut. Sportsbooks consider Volpe a favorite for AL Rookie of the Year and is expected to bat ninth after officially being told Sunday he was making the Opening Day roster. |

11-05-22 | Phillies v. Astros OVER 6.5 | 1-4 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 44 m | Show
Much has been made of Houston Astros left-hander Framber Valdez maximizing his abundant talent by utilizing and applying several mental processes to sharpen his focus. The results for Valdez have been irrefutable, and Houston will look for Valdez (2-0, 1.42 ERA this postseason) to deliver one more quality start on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 of the World Series, with the Astros leading the best-of-seven series 3-2 and on the brink of securing their second championship in five years. Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler (1-2, 2.67 ERA) will oppose Valdez. "Yeah, I think I'm just going to try to continue doing what I've been doing all season," Valdez said. "Just try and attack hitters early, try to breathe, try to stay calm, try to meditate. "It's something that's really exciting. I think it's something that really adds a lot to your career, and I'm really excited about this opportunity." Excitement isn't in short supply. After Cristian Javier pitched brilliantly and combined with three relievers for a no-hitter in Game 4, Justin Verlander produced an inspired effort in Game 5, grinding his way through five innings of the one-run ball despite steady traffic on the bases against the backdrop of a frenzied crowd. If Valdez needs inspiration, his short-term memory would suffice. |

11-02-22 | Astros v. Phillies UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
After a record-tying power surge gave the Phillies a 2-1 World Series lead, Philadelphia will look to ride its distinct homefield edge to another win over the Houston Astros in Game 4 on Wednesday. The Phillies improved to 6-0 at home in the postseason with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. The rout featured five Philadelphia home runs -- one each by Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, Kyle Schwarber, Brandon Marsh and Rhys Hoskins -- matching the single-game mark for the Fall Classic. The Phillies players and manager Rob Thomson credit the sellout crowds of nearly 46,000 as a major reason for their home success. "They're like the Eagles (fans)," Thomson said of the Phillies fans. "They get better every game. It was really something. It was really good." The Phillies will bring back their Game 1 starter, Aaron Nola (11-13, 3.25 ERA regular season; 2-1, 4.57 postseason), for Game 4. The move became an option when Game 3 was rained out on Monday and moved to Tuesday, so Nola will be on the standard four days' rest. After two stellar playoff outings in which he gave up just one run, which was unearned, in 12 2/3 innings, Nola has surrendered 11 runs in nine innings over his past two starts. Nola doesn't believe that he's tired. |

11-01-22 | Astros v. Phillies OVER 7.5 | Top | 0-7 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
As the weather forecast worsened throughout Monday, Major League Baseball decided to postpone Game 3 of the World Series. Shortly after a 6:45 p.m. ET meeting, the game between the Houston Astros and the host Philadelphia Phillies was postponed. Game 3 will now be played Tuesday starting at 8:03 p.m. ET. After earning a split in the first two games, the Phillies returned home to wet conditions. The raucous crowd of nearly 46,000 will now be waiting 24 hours longer. "It's going to be fair for everybody," Phillies manager Rob Thomson said. With the extra day, the Phillies altered their pitching plans for Game 3. Instead of Noah Syndergaard, the Phillies will now hand the ball to Ranger Suarez (10-7, 3.65 ERA regular season; 1-0, 1.86 postseason). Whether Suarez is closing a game or being inserted as a starter in the World Series, he's ready. |

10-28-22 | Phillies v. Astros UNDER 6.5 | 6-5 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 28 m | Show
If there is a blemish on the stellar resume of Houston Astros right-hander Justin Verlander, it is this: In seven career World Series starts with two franchises, Verlander is 0-6 with a 5.68 ERA. That mark seems incongruous with everything Verlander has accomplished. He is a surefire Hall of Famer and arguably the best pitcher of his generation, yet success in the post-season has eluded him. Verlander will make his eighth World Series start on Friday when the Astros face the visiting Philadelphia Phillies for Game 1. |

10-18-22 | Phillies +107 v. Padres | 2-0 | Win | 107 | 7 h 5 m | Show
Two teams following parallel routes meet Tuesday night in the opening game of the National League Championship Series. Both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Padres didn't meet expectations during most of the regular season, rallied late to claim the last two National League wild-card spots, then won all-road series to advance out of the wild-card round before eliminating triple-digit-win teams in their divisional series. Now the two lowest seeds in the National League playoffs meet in a best-of-seven series to determine the Senior Circuit's World Series representative. |

10-16-22 | Yankees v. Guardians +1.5 | 4-2 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 18 m | Show
The Cleveland Guardians saw plenty of pitches early on from Gerrit Cole in Game 1 on Tuesday. The Yankees again turn to Cole in an attempt to keep their season going while the Guardians are hoping to capitalize on their familiarity with the right-hander Sunday night in Game 4 of the American League Division Series in Cleveland. Cleveland is seeking its sixth trip to the AL Championship Series, first since 2016, and third ALDS win over the Yankees (1997, 2007). The Guardians are on the verge of eliminating the Yankees after getting two wins in their final at-bat thanks to Oscar Gonzalez. The rookie's three hits in the ninth inning or later match David Ortiz (2004) for the most in a single postseason in MLB history. Gonzalez delivered the tiebreaking single in the 10th inning Friday against Jameson Taillon to even the series with a 4-2 victory in New York. On Saturday, he was down to his final strike against Clarke Schmidt before getting a two-run bases-loaded single to give the Guardians a 6-5 walk-off win. Cole (1-0, 1.42 ERA 2022 postseason, 13-8, 3.50 ERA regular season) limited Cleveland to one run on four hits in 6 1/3 innings in the series opener. He threw 60 of his 101 pitches in the first three innings when Cleveland had ample opportunities to add to an early lead. The Yankees won the opener 4-1. |

10-14-22 | Dodgers v. Padres OVER 7 | 1-2 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 17 m | Show
It was last spring that San Diego Padres players first promised their fans a postseason home game. Now the Padres are guaranteed not just one, but two home playoff games after tying the best-of-five National League Division Series 1-1 with a 5-3 win Wednesday over the host Los Angeles Dodgers. Game 3 is Friday night with right-hander Tony Gonsolin (2022 postseason debut; 16-1, 2.14 ERA regular season) starting for the Dodgers against Padres left-hander Blake Snell (0-0, 5.40 ERA postseason; 8-10, 3.38 ERA regular season). While the Dodgers are 19-5 when Gonsolin starts this season -- and 2-0 against the Padres -- the All-Star's two-inning appearance against Colorado on Oct. 3 was his only outing over the final seven weeks of the regular season due to a right forearm strain. Snell, meanwhile, needs to regain the form he had at the end of the regular season. He posted a 2.19 ERA in 14 starts after the All-Star break, with 105 strikeouts in 78 innings. But he allowed two runs on four hits and six walks in just 3 1/3 innings in the Padres' only wild-card round loss to the New York Mets. Both bullpens could be active early. For the Dodgers, that includes another starter returning from injury in Dustin May, who was limited to six starts due to arm and lower back problems. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said May is available for up to four innings and 60 pitches. He didn't say what the limit is on Gonsolin. Roberts said he chose Gonsolin over Tyler Anderson for Game 3 because his full bullpen will be available after Thursday's day off. Anderson will start Saturday night's Game 4. |

10-14-22 | Guardians +138 v. Yankees | 4-2 | Win | 138 | 4 h 44 m | Show
Forced to wait another day to play, the New York Yankees just want to get their engine started this postseason. After Game 2 of the American League Division Series between the Yankees and Cleveland Guardians was postponed by rain Thursday on the heels of a scheduled day off Wednesday, the teams are scheduled to meet Friday afternoon. More inclement weather is expected. As the team with the second-best record in the AL this season, the Yankees were off five days before pulling off a 4-1 victory over the Guardians in Game 1 of the ALDS on Tuesday. But another multi-day pause was a surprise. The result is a scheduling logjam moving forward. In the event the series goes the maximum of five games, they will all be played on consecutive days. It limits the Yankees' options if they intend to bring back scheduled Game 2 starter, Nestor Cortes, for a potential winner-take-all Game 5 and clearly impacts bullpen usage on either side. |

10-11-22 | Padres +1.5 v. Dodgers | 3-5 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 54 m | Show
After debating the merits of a pair of left-handers as his Game 1 starter -- Julio Urias or Clayton Kershaw -- Roberts announced Monday that Urias (17-7, 2.16 ERA) will take the series opener. "I think for us you could essentially flip a coin," Roberts said. "They're both aces in our eyes. I just think that Julio has been fantastic for us all year. Kind of just making that decision to give him that opportunity, we all felt good about it. And Clayton feels good about starting Game 2." Urias dominated the Padres in four starts this season, going 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA over 24 innings. Three of those starts came in September when Urias went 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA. In 15 career appearances (10 starts) against San Diego, Urias is 6-1 with a 2.19 ERA (61 2/3 innings). The Padres won just five of the 19 regular-season games played against the Dodgers and just three of the 12 that came after they added Juan Soto, Josh Bell, and Josh Hader at the trade deadline. |

10-11-22 | Padres v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
For their latest playoff appearance, the Los Angeles Dodgers prepped with one of the best regular seasons in baseball history, sending them racing downhill into a meeting with a familiar foe. The Dodgers' 10th playoff appearance in 10 seasons begins Tuesday in Game 1 of the National League Division Series when they play host to the San Diego Padres. In an impressive showing during the NL wild-card round, the Padres took down the 101-win New York Mets. "There's going to be a lot of emotions," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "It's going to be exciting, not only for players and fans, it's going to be a very intense series." The Dodgers set a franchise record for regular-season victories (111) and are just the seventh club in baseball history to win as many as 110 games. Of the previous six clubs to do it, five advanced to the World Series and three won a title. The most recent to do so were the 2001 Seattle Mariners, who won 116 games but fell to the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. |
|||||||
10-11-22 | Guardians v. Yankees OVER 6.5 | 1-4 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 2 m | Show
The New York Yankees ascended to an American League East title by leading the majors with 254 homers, including 62 by slugger Aaron Judge. The Cleveland Guardians rose to the top in the AL Central by finding other ways to win while ranking 29th with 127 homers. On Tuesday, two differing offenses converge at Yankee Stadium when the Yankees host the Guardians in the opener of the American League Division Series. The Yankees started strong, getting to 64-28 at the All-Star break, and then slumped for about six weeks before heating up down the stretch. They ended by going 20-9 as Judge hit 11 home runs in his final 30 games and also batted .380 (38-for-100). Judge is entering his sixth postseason with the Yankees and final one before hitting free agency. So far, he is a .230 hitter (31-for-135) with 11 homers and 22 RBIs in 35 playoff games. |
|||||||
10-11-22 | Mariners v. Astros OVER 6.5 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 3 h 42 m | Show
Houston Astros right-hander Justin Verlander spent the majority of the second half of the regular season doing his best to deflect the onslaught of praise heaped upon his shoulders, instead focusing squarely on what matters most: how he would perform in the postseason. Verlander (18-4, 1.75 ERA) is the frontrunner to win his third American League Cy Young Award thanks to a remarkable bounce-back campaign after Tommy John surgery limited him to one start over the 2020 and '21 seasons. But of greater significance to Verlander and the Astros is his status as their No. 1 starter in the AL Division Series against the Seattle Mariners, set to begin Tuesday. Verlander is scheduled to make his 31st career postseason start Tuesday. He has experienced the highs of postseason success and the lows of playoff failures, all of which have served as a prologue to him leading another exceptional Astros staff. Despite this, expectations remain hard to quantify. |
|||||||
10-11-22 | Mariners +1.5 v. Astros | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 3 h 37 m | Show
Similar to Houston, Seattle right-hander Logan Gilbert (13-6, 3.20) -- the Mariners' scheduled starter for Game 1 -- is coming off an extended rest. Had the Mariners not rallied from a seven-run deficit in Game 2 of their wild-card series against the Blue Jays, Gilbert would have been slated to start the finale of that series. Instead, he'll get the ball Tuesday having last pitched on Sept. 30. |
|||||||
10-07-22 | Phillies v. Cardinals -102 | Top | 6-3 | Loss | -102 | 1 h 49 m | Show |
After dominating the St. Louis Cardinals during the regular season, Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler wants to capitalize on his postseason opportunity against them. Wheeler (12-7, 2.82 ERA) will draw his first career playoff assignment in Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series Friday in St. Louis. "That's where it all counts, right?" Wheeler said. "That's where you want to get to. That's what you battle for the whole season, to get to that point. I want to go out there and do the best I can." The Phillies will make their first postseason appearance since 2011. |
|||||||
10-05-22 | Cubs v. Reds OVER 8.5 | 15-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 9 m | Show
Two teams will try to close out their disappointing seasons on a high note when the Chicago Cubs visit the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon. Tuesday's walk-off win assured the Reds will not match the 1982 Reds for the most losses in franchise history. That team finished 61-101, the only 100-loss season in club history. This season's edition will avoid a second 100-loss season with a win in the season finale. |
|||||||
10-05-22 | Yankees v. Rangers OVER 8 | 2-4 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 9 m | Show
With history made, the New York Yankees now have a decision to make regarding Aaron Judge on Wednesday in the regular-season finale against the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas. Will Judge get the day off or be in the lineup with one last chance to add to his new American League home run record? In Game 2 of a Tuesday doubleheader, Judge set the AL single-season homer mark by socking his 62nd in the first inning off right-hander Jesus Tinoco. Judge had been tied with Roger Maris, whose record of 61 stood for 61 years. Judge leads the AL in homers and RBIs (131), and his .311 batting average is second to the .315 average of the Minnesota Twins' Luis Arraez. |
|||||||
10-05-22 | Angels -1.5 v. A's | 2-3 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 8 m | Show
It might turn out to be too little, too late, but Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani gets a chance to make a final impression on American League Most Valuable Player voters Wednesday. Ohtani gets an opportunity to both hit and pitch in the Angels' regular-season finale against the host Oakland Athletics. Starting pitching has been dominant in the first two games of the series between AL West also-rans, with three of the four starters -- including both Tuesday -- calling it a night after throwing six shutout innings. Oakland (59-102) rallied from a 4-0 deficit with two in the eighth, two in the ninth and one in the 10th for a 5-4 win Monday. Ohtani took a crack at evening the series with a blast to center field with two aboard in the 10th of a 1-1 tie Tuesday. But A's center fielder Seth Brown hauled in the bid for extra bases just before crashing into the wall, sending Oakland to the plate, where Shea Langeliers' bases-loaded walk ended a 2-1 victory. Brown, who had two hits and three RBIs in Monday's win before driving in the A's' only regulation run in the rematch, admitted Ohtani's powerful reputation got the better of him on his attempt at another heroic feat Tuesday. |

10-04-22 | Rockies v. Dodgers OVER 7.5 | 5-2 | Loss | -119 | 1 h 44 m | Show
With a week remaining before they open their playoff run, the Los Angeles Dodgers will offer a postseason glimpse over the final two games of the regular season. Los Angeles (110-50) is scheduled to have Julio Urias on the mound Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies, with the left-hander believed to be the Game 1 starter when the National League Division Series begins for the Dodgers on Oct. 11. On Wednesday, in the regular-season finale, the Dodgers will send lefty Clayton Kershaw to the mound. The three-time Cy Young Award winner is expected to be the Game 2 playoff starter, although manager Dave Roberts has said he reserves the right to make adjustments. |
|||||||
10-04-22 | Diamondbacks -115 v. Brewers | Top | 0-3 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 60 m | Show |
After a disappointing end to their faint wild-card hopes, the Milwaukee Brewers will have to regroup against Arizona ace right-hander Zac Gallen in the second game of the season-ending series against the visiting Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Gallen (12-3, 2.46 ERA) will be opposed by Milwaukee left-hander Eric Lauer (10-7, 3.83). The Brewers rallied to win 6-5 in 10 innings in the series opener on Monday night, but they were eliminated from postseason contention due to Philadelphia's 3-0 victory at Houston. Milwaukee needed to win its final three games against Arizona and have the Phillies lose all three against the Astros. Milwaukee (85-75) rallied to tie it 4-4 with three runs in the ninth. After Arizona went ahead in the top of the 10th, the Brewers came back on RBI singles by Willy Adames and Hunter Renfroe. However, the euphoria was short-lived as news of the Phillies' victory followed quickly. Milwaukee will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2017. |

09-30-22 | Diamondbacks +120 v. Giants | 4-10 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 30 m | Show
A pitcher enjoying a memorable season and a hitter still basking in the glory of a historic at-bat are scheduled to go head-to-head Friday night when the Arizona Diamondbacks open a three-game series against the host San Francisco Giants. The National League West teams begin the last six games of the season separated by six games, meaning the fourth-place Diamondbacks (72-84) would need to sweep this set to retain the possibility of catching the third-place Giants (78-78) in the standings. San Francisco still has a slim chance of securing a wild-card berth. The Giants trail the Philadelphia Phillies by 5 1/2 games for the final slot. The Diamondbacks dropped two of three games to the Giants last week in Arizona. Right-hander Merrill Kelly (13-7, 3.13 ERA) recorded the lone win in the series, a 5-2 decision last Saturday. Kelly has faced the Giants five times this season, with Arizona going 3-2 in those outings. He got the win in all three victories and wasn't charged with a loss in either defeat. |
|||||||
09-30-22 | Pirates v. Cardinals -1.5 | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 47 m | Show |
Pitcher Johan Oviedo will get his first chance to face his old team when the Pittsburgh Pirates visit the St. Louis Cardinals Friday. Oviedo (4-2, 3.13 ERA) will start for Pittsburgh in the opener of a three-game series. The Cardinals (90-66) sent Oviedo and infield prospect Malcom Nunez to the Pirates (59-97) for pitchers Jose Quintana and Chris Stratton before the trade deadline. Oviedo is 2-1 with a 3.05 ERA in five starts for the Pirates. In his last outing, Oviedo blanked the Chicago Cubs for seven innings on three hits in a 6-0 victory. He walked nobody and struck out seven batters. |
|||||||
09-30-22 | Mets v. Braves +111 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 111 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
For the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves, the first 156 games of the regular season were just the opening act for this weekend. The National League East may be decided beginning Friday in Atlanta, where the Mets are slated to visit the Braves in the opener of a three-game series. Right-hander Jacob deGrom (5-3, 2.93 ERA) is slated to start for the Mets against left-hander Max Fried (13-7, 2.50). Both teams were off Thursday after a pair of chaotic games against NL East also-rans Wednesday night that ended with the Mets alone atop the division. Host New York overcame a four-run deficit thanks to Eduardo Escobar, who capped a five-RBI evening with a walk-off 10th-inning single in a 5-4 win over the Miami Marlins. Escobar delivered the game-winning hit fewer than 20 minutes after the Washington Nationals' C.J. Abrams laced a walk-off RBI single to give the hosts a 2-1 win over the Braves. The Mets (98-58) are one game ahead of the Braves (97-59). The division winner earns the second first-round bye while the second-place finisher will head to a wild-card series scheduled to start Oct. 7 -- two days after the regular-season finale. |
|||||||
09-30-22 | Orioles v. Yankees -1.5 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 46 m | Show
During the New York Yankees' three-game series in Toronto to start the week, Aaron Judge achieved the dual goals of helping his team win the American League East and hitting his 61st home run. After tying the AL single-season homer mark set by Roger Maris in 1961, Judge gets his first crack at setting breaking the record at home on Friday night when the Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles. No team has served up more homers to Judge in his career than the Orioles -- 35 long balls in 84 games. He has nine long balls in 15 games vs. Baltimore this year, also his highest total against any opponent. Judge went 34 plate appearances spanning seven games without going deep until he hit a go-ahead two-run shot in New York's 8-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Wednesday. Judge's blast came a night after the Yankees (96-59) secured the division title and lifted New York to its ninth win in 10 games. |
|||||||
09-30-22 | Phillies -1.5 v. Nationals | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 54 m | Show |
The remnants of Hurricane Ian that are forecasted to bring inclement weather to the Washington, D.C. area changed the schedule of the Washington Nationals four-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies this weekend. The teams will open the series with a doubleheader on Friday, with the first game starting at 1:05 p.m. ET, after a doubleheader was originally planned for Saturday. They will play Friday's scheduled game at 7:05 p.m., with Saturday's lone game set for 1:05 p.m. and Sunday's finale scheduled for 1:35 p.m. The Phillies (83-72), who are locked in a tight race with the Milwaukee Brewers for the final National League wild-card spot, have defeated the Nationals (54-101) eight straight times and in 13 of their 15 meetings this year. Philadelphia, however, has lost five straight games and 10 of its past 13 after falling 2-0 to the host Chicago Cubs on Thursday. |
|||||||
09-29-22 | Rockies v. Giants UNDER 7 | 4-6 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 39 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants will look to complete their second consecutive season demolition of the Colorado Rockies on Thursday night in a game that could be left-hander Carlos Rodon's last for the home team at Oracle Park. The Giants (77-78) have beaten Colorado (65-90) 5-2 and 6-3 in the first two meetings of their three-game set, improving their record over their National League West rival to 13-5 this season. A 14th win would equal the second-most by the Giants in a season series against the Rockies, trailing only last year's 15-4 rampage. Rodon (13-8, 2.98 ERA) has gone 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA this season against Colorado, with the win coming on May 9 when he struck out 12 in six innings of an 8-5 victory. The veteran left-hander did not contribute to the Giants' 2021 success because he was with the Chicago White Sox. He signed a two-year, $44 million contract with the Giants in free agency in March, but he earned the right to opt out of the second year (worth $22.5 million) by pitching more than 110 innings this season. |
|||||||
09-29-22 | Rays -115 v. Guardians | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Cal Quantrill will face the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday looking to make a bit of history. Quantrill will seek to remain perfect at home when he and his teammates close a three-game series against the visiting Rays. With Cleveland locked into the No. 3 spot among the American League's division winners, Rays manager Kevin Cash thought the Guardians might take a different tack in the series. |
|||||||
09-28-22 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Padres | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 55 m | Show
Despite the loss last night, the Dodgers still own the Padres overall and in San Diego. I can't go against a team that has won 38 of their last 54 meetings and 7 of 10 at Petco. |
|||||||
09-28-22 | Royals v. Tigers -130 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 4 m | Show |
Matt Manning (2-3, 3.43 ERA) didn't walk anyone when he threw seven shutout innings against the Chicago White Sox in his previous start, on Sept. 16. He faced the Royals twice last month -- most recently on Sept. 10, when he gave up three runs (two earned) in 6 1/3 innings while notching his second victory. He'll be opposed by Daniel Lynch (4-11, 5.06), who has struggled in three outings against Detroit this season. Lynch is 0-1 with an 8.53 ERA in those games while allowing 12 earned runs in 12 2/3 innings, including four home runs. Willi Castro has been a thorn in Lynch's side with six hits in 11 at-bats against the left-hander, including three extra-base hits. The last time Lynch faced the Tigers, he gave up homers to Eric Haase and Jeimer Candelario while getting pounded for six runs and 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings. |
|||||||
09-28-22 | Reds v. Pirates OVER 8 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 2 m | Show |
The Pittsburgh Pirates have the visiting Cincinnati Reds somewhat on the ropes going into the final meeting of a three-game series on Wednesday in what will be the final time both teams see each other this season. Pittsburgh (58-97) will be going for a series sweep and a seventh straight win against Cincinnati (60-95). The Pirates will also try to move a step closer to passing the Reds in the National League Central standings as they try to claw their way out of the basement of the division. Pittsburgh won the opener 8-3 before winning 4-1 on Tuesday to at least clinch the series. |
|||||||
09-27-22 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Padres | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 28 m | Show |
The Los Angeles Dodgers and host San Diego Padres, two teams with different priorities in the stretch run, square off on Tuesday to open their final head-to-head series of the regular season. For the Padres, the goal is clear: Reach the postseason as a wild card. As it stands right now, they would do just that. San Diego (85-68) currently holds the second of three National League wild-card berths and is three games ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers (82-71), who sit just outside the playoff picture behind the Philadelphia Phillies (83-69). The Padres' magic number is six, and they have an added edge with all nine of their remaining regular-season games at home. The Dodgers (106-47) clinched the No. 1 seed for the NL playoffs with their 106th win on Sunday. What are they playing for? Total domination -- and history. They have matched the single-season franchise record for wins, and a victory on Tuesday would set a new mark. |
|||||||
09-27-22 | Reds v. Pirates OVER 7 | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 29 m | Show |
The Pittsburgh Pirates have two more head-to-head meetings with the visiting Cincinnati Reds as they try to claw their way out of the National League Central cellar. In the opener of the teams' final series this year, the Pirates came back from an early two-run deficit to top the Reds 8-3 on Monday. That left the magic number for Cincinnati (60-94) to hold off Pittsburgh (57-97) and finish out of last place in the division at six. Both clubs also are striving to finish out of last in the NL, with the Washington Nationals (53-100) the, uh, front-runner there. At this late stage, the Pirates -- who had lost nine of 10 before Monday -- are looking toward the future. That not only pertains to several rookies and other young players who have gotten a chance to play this year, but also to new acquisitions. On Monday, the focus was on designated hitter Miguel Andujar, who made his Pittsburgh debut after being snatched off waivers from the New York Yankees. Andujar has a higher pedigree than most of the players who have come and gone from the Pirates' roster this season. He turned heads in his first full major league season in 2018, finishing second in American League Rookie of the Year balloting, but then had injury setbacks and got lost in the Yankees' organization. In the Monday win over Cincinnati, Andujar singled, walked, scored a run and picked up an RBI with a sacrifice fly. |
|||||||
09-26-22 | Orioles +115 v. Red Sox | Top | 14-8 | Win | 115 | 13 h 38 m | Show |
The Baltimore Orioles picked the wrong time to squander a couple of chances to win key games. That leads to a more heightened sense of urgency moving forward for a team that's four games out of the third and final wild card in the American League. The next assignment comes against the host Boston Red Sox on Monday night in the opener of a four-game series. The Orioles (79-73) had won three in a row until a pair of tough results to conclude a four-game home series with the Houston Astros. Baltimore failed to protect a lead in an 11-10 setback Saturday and then fell 6-3 in 11 innings Sunday. Manager Brandon Hyde said those were disappointing outcomes because the Orioles "should have won" those games. Yet while the Orioles split the series with the AL-leading Astros, there was a degree of pride coming from the way they performed. |
|||||||
09-25-22 | Red Sox v. Yankees UNDER 8 | 0-2 | Push | 0 | 8 h 9 m | Show
The wait continues in New York for Aaron Judge to hit his 61st homer to match Roger Maris' American League record. Judge gets a fifth chance at the milestone Sunday night when the Yankees (93-58) seek a seventh straight win and go for the four-game home sweep of the Boston Red Sox (72-79). Judge is 3-for-13 with five walks since getting his 60th homer in the ninth inning Tuesday against Pittsburgh. He enters the final meeting of the season against Boston hitting .432 (35-for-81) with 11 homers and 19 RBIs during a 23-game on-base streak. The closest Judge has gotten to matching Maris was a pair of fly balls that reached the warning track, one in Thursday's game and one Friday. On Saturday, Judge went 0-for-3 with a flyout to center, a walk and two strikeouts in New York's 7-5 win. |
|||||||
09-25-22 | Mets v. A's OVER 7 | Top | 13-4 | Win | 103 | 5 h 12 m | Show |
Right-hander Max Scherzer will make a rare appearance at one of the many sites of his postseason success when he tries to pitch the visiting New York Mets to a series win over the Athletics on Sunday afternoon in Oakland. The first two head-to-heads of the season between the team with the second-best record in the National League (96-57) and the one with the worst record in the American League (56-96) were blowouts, with the Mets taking the opener 9-2 on Friday before the A's shocked Jacob deGrom in a 10-4 shellacking in the rematch. Suffice it to say, Oakland manager Mark Kotsay would like to see more of the same as Saturday's performance as his team continues a fight to avoid a 100-loss season. |
|||||||
09-25-22 | Braves v. Phillies OVER 8.5 | 8-7 | Win | 100 | 2 h 14 m | Show
The Braves moved to 1 1/2 games behind the New York Mets for first place in the National League East. Even without Ronald Acuna Jr. (sore back) for the third consecutive game, the Braves accumulated 14 hits. It's unclear if Acuna will be in the lineup Sunday. Whichever lineup manager Brian Snitker puts on the bulletin board, the Braves realize they have the talent and depth to win. |

09-24-22 | Giants v. Diamondbacks -108 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
Merrill Kelly will attempt to continue his season-long domination of San Francisco hitters when the Arizona Diamondbacks face the Giants on Saturday night at Phoenix. Kelly is 2-0 with a 1.27 ERA in four starts against San Francisco this season. He has struck out 24 and allowed just 14 hits in 28 1/3 innings. Kelly didn't give up a run in his last two outings against the Giants. He gave up three hits in eight scoreless innings in a victory on July 25. Kelly allowed four hits in seven scoreless innings on Aug. 16 but he received a no-decision when Ian Kennedy served up a two-run walk-off homer to Brandon Crawford in the bottom of the ninth. Overall, Kelly is 5-3 with a 2.56 ERA in 14 career starts against San Francisco (74-77), which has won five straight games after recording a 6-5 win in the series opener on Friday. Arizona (70-82) has lost seven of nine. Kelly (12-7, 3.15 ERA) went 6-0 over a 12-start span before troubles surfaced over his last three outings. He is 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA and seven homers allowed during the 18-inning stretch. |

09-24-22 | Braves -126 v. Phillies | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 45 m | Show
After a frustrating five-game losing streak, the Philadelphia Phillies suddenly have won three straight. They will go for four in a row when they host the Atlanta Braves on Saturday. The Phillies have taken the first two of the crucial four-game series as they attempt to reach the postseason for the first time since 2011. Philadelphia (83-67) is a half-game ahead of the San Diego Padres (83-68) for the second National League wild-card spot. The Phillies are 2 1/2 games ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers (81-70), who sit fourth in the chase for three wild cards. |

09-24-22 | Red Sox v. Yankees -147 | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 1 h 48 m | Show
Every time Aaron Judge steps to the plate, the cell phones go up, as if the crowd expects him to homer on demand. Fans have anticipated Judge's 61st homer for three games, but they still left happy after each of those contest because his team, the New York Yankees, won. On Saturday afternoon, the Yankees and Judge will again oppose the visiting Boston Red Sox, and the slugger will make his latest attempt to match the American League home run record set by Roger Maris in 1961. New York also will seek a sixth straight win. Since reaching 60 homers in the ninth inning on Tuesday, Judge is 3-for-10 with four walks to extend his on-base streak to 22 games. On Thursday, he hit a fly ball 404 feet to the warning track in center in the ninth inning off Boston's Matt Barnes. On Friday, Judge hit a fly ball to the track in left in his second at-bat against Rich Hill. While the fans await Judge's record-tying homer, the Yankees (92-58) are on their best run since the All-Star break. Aaron Hicks and Gleyber Torres drove in a pair of runs apiece and Jose Trevino got the game-winning hit in the eighth inning of a 5-4 win over Boston on Friday, New York's 13th victory in 17 games. |

09-23-22 | Mets -1.5 v. A's | 9-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 29 m | Show
Chris Bassitt makes his return to the site of 13 previous wins when he and the New York Mets continue their pursuit of the National League East title against the host Oakland Athletics on Friday night. The teams kick off a three-game series. The Mets (95-56) had Thursday off to fly to Oakland, where they were able to relax and watch as the Atlanta Braves, who began the day one game behind, lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. New York had a six-game winning streak snapped Wednesday in a 6-0 home loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. One of the wins was authored by Bassitt (14-8, 3.32 ERA), who earned his career-best 14th victory with six innings of shutout ball in a 5-1 home triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday. The 33-year-old has gone 7-1 with a 2.25 ERA in his last nine starts. Bassitt was an All-Star when he went 12-4 with a 3.15 ERA for the A's last season. He was 30-24 for the A's, including 13-13 at home, over six seasons before being dealt to the Mets in March for pitchers J.T. Ginn and Adam Oller. The A's (55-95) and Mets are meeting for the first time since the trade. |

09-23-22 | Cubs v. Pirates OVER 8 | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 28 m | Show
The Chicago Cubs are finding ways to make games -- or at least moments -- count as they run out the string in a losing season. On Thursday, in the series opener against the host Pittsburgh Pirates, it was an immaculate inning within a strong start by rookie right-hander Hayden Wesneski, plus outfielder Michael Hermosillo going 2-for-4 with an RBI single after entering the night 3-for-23 in September. "You start thinking about it the seventh, eighth pitch," said Wesneski, who became the first Cubs pitcher to strike out a side on nine pitches since 2004. "The ninth one, you just let it rip and hope it happens." After the 3-2 victory on Thursday, the Cubs (65-85) is 8-5 in their past 13 games. On Friday, the Pirates will be looking to end a seven-game losing streak as they play the final 13 games against National League Central teams. As the Pirates (55-95) chug toward a possible 100 losses, they might get some help from All-Star closer David Bednar if they can keep games close -- and if he successfully bounces back after a back injury. |

09-22-22 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias will turn in some final prep work in advance of next month's playoffs, while attempting to help his Cy Young Award cause, when he takes the mound against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. Expected to be the club's No. 1 starter when the postseason begins, Urias (17-7, 2.27 ERA) will be out to continue an impressive second half that has eased concerns surrounding the National League West champions. The Dodgers lost staff ace, Walker Buehler, earlier this season to Tommy John surgery, while veteran left-hander Clayton Kershaw has been off and on the injured list with back issues. So Urias moved himself to the head of the rotation, thanks to a 9-1 record with a 1.31 ERA since the All-Star break. He leads the NL in ERA. Urias now has a chance to record consecutive 20-win seasons after reaching the milestone for the first time last season. He remains in line for three more starts before the regular season is complete. In his most recent outing Saturday at San Francisco, Urias gave up two runs on five hits over six innings as the Dodgers went on to a 7-2 victory. |

09-22-22 | Astros -1.5 v. Orioles | 0-2 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 4 m | Show
It could be a rewarding series on several levels for the Baltimore Orioles in the coming days. Looks like a challenging one as well. The Houston Astros will arrive to take on the Orioles in a four-game series, beginning Thursday night in Baltimore. There's lots at stake for the Orioles in their quest to reach the American League playoffs. Houston (99-51) might be in cruise control, though there appears to be no let-up. The Astros, who'll reach the 100-win mark with their next victory, have won four in a row and 10 of their last 11 games. At least the Astros did the Orioles a favor this week by sweeping three games from the Tampa Bay Rays, who are one of the team's Baltimore (77-71) is chasing in pursuit of a spot in the playoffs. There's also another element that could endear Baltimore fans to the Astros. Popular designated hitter Trey Mancini, who was traded to Houston from the Orioles at the trade deadline, will be back at Camden Yards for the first time in an opposing uniform. |

09-22-22 | Giants -1.5 v. Rockies | 3-0 | Win | 130 | 1 h 13 m | Show
Coors Field typically gives the Colorado Rockies an inherent advantage even in the worst seasons. The thin air helps Colorado consistently finish with winning home records. This season, though, the Rockies (64-85) are in danger of finishing with a losing record in Denver. Colorado is 40-37 at Coors Field and has dropped the first three games of a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants, who will shoot for the sweep Thursday afternoon. The Rockies will send right-hander Jose Urena (3-6, 5.49 ERA) to the mound. The Giants announced late Wednesday that right-hander John Brebbia (6-2, 2.86) would serve as an opener for the second time in three days. One of Urena's wins this season came against San Francisco on Aug. 19, when he tossed 6 2/3 innings of three-run ball. In six career games -- four of them starts -- against the Giants, he is 2-1 with a 4.68 ERA. Urena's 15th start with Colorado will be overshadowed by the expected major league debut of shortstop Ezequiel Tovar, who is getting called up from the minors. |

09-21-22 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers OVER 8.5 | Top | 6-1 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 11 m | Show |
The matchup does not quite conjure up the magic that it used to, but there remains something rich about Madison Bumgarner facing the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bumgarner's matchups with the Dodgers, back when he was a starter for the San Francisco Giants, always carried an extra bit of weight. Now in his third season with the Arizona Diamondbacks (69-80), the left-hander has been a division foe of the Dodgers for 14 years. Bumgarner (6-15, 5.01 ERA) will be facing Los Angeles for the 40th time in his career when he takes the mound Wednesday at Dodger Stadium for the fourth game in an extended five-game series. His 2.93 ERA against the Dodgers has come in a hefty 245 1/3 innings. The 33-year-old is coming off an outing Friday against the San Diego Padres when he gave up five runs on eight hits in five innings. It was the seventh time in his past nine starts that an opponent scored at least five runs against him. He has a 7.82 ERA and 0-6 record in that nine-game run. Despite recent adjustments on the mound, Bumgarner's struggles continued. |
|||||||
09-21-22 | Blue Jays v. Phillies OVER 8 | 3-4 | Loss | -120 | 5 h 49 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies had a day off before hosting a crucial two-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The extra rest didn't help, as the Phillies allowed 21 hits and were pummeled 18-11 on Tuesday. Philadelphia will now look to snap a five-game losing streak in the finale against the Blue Jays on Wednesday. "We've just got to regroup and go get 'em tomorrow," Phillies interim manager Rob Thomson said after the Tuesday loss. J.T. Realmuto was a bright spot for Philadelphia on Tuesday with five hits, including a home run, and two RBIs. It was the third career five-hit game of Realmuto's career. Kyle Schwarber hit a three-run homer to reach 40 home runs in a season for the first time, and Dalton Guthrie crushed his first career home run. But the Phillies' pitchers struggled, and the hosts also committed three errors. Not a winning recipe for a franchise with aspirations of making the playoffs for the first time since 2011. The Phillies (80-67) remain in the third National League wild-card spot, 2 1/2 games ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers (78-70). |
|||||||
09-20-22 | Cardinals v. Padres OVER 8 | 0-5 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 44 m | Show
Albert Pujols could make history this week when the St. Louis Cardinals visit the San Diego Padres beginning Tuesday for a three-game series that may also be a preview of a first-round playoff series. The 42-year-old Pujols arrives in San Diego with 698 career home runs, including 19 in 273 at-bats during his return to St. Louis this season. He needs two more to become the fourth player in major league history to reach 700. Pujols has had great success against the Padres in the past. He has 20 homers in 314 career at-bats against the Padres with a .309/.402/.564 slash line. He also has 16 doubles and 68 RBIs in 88 career games against them. One of the few active major leaguers who was playing before Petco Park opened in 2004, Pujols has struggled a bit at the Padres' current home -- hitting just seven home runs in 128 at-bats with a .227/.315/.430 slash line in downtown San Diego. Tuesday's series-opening, right-handed matchup of Mike Clevinger (5-7, 4.47 ERA) starting for the Padres against the Cardinals' Adam Wainwright (11-9, 3.29 ERA) could pose another problem for Pujols |
|||||||
09-20-22 | Red Sox -1.5 v. Reds | Top | 5-3 | Win | 141 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
Xander Bogaerts' future with the Boston Red Sox may be uncertain, but he certainly has goals to achieve as his team plays out the string of an underachieving season. Bogaerts has his sights on his first career batting title and he'll continue his pursuit of the milestone when the Red Sox open a two-game set against the host Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night. Bogaerts entered Monday's play with a .316 average, which was tied for second in the American League with Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. Luis Arraez of the Minnesota Twins has a league-best .317 average. Bogaerts said the batting title race will keep him focused down the stretch of a lackluster season for Boston (71-75). |
|||||||
09-20-22 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers -1.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 33 m | Show
Closing in on the franchise record for victories, the Los Angeles Dodgers are in position to pick up two more when they play host to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday. The Dodgers earned their 102nd victory Monday, against 44 defeats, and are five away from posting the highest total in franchise history, going all the way back to 1884 when the club called Brooklyn home. The Dodgers have reached 106 victories twice, both in the past three seasons. Even without staff ace Walker Buehler, who is sidelined following undergoing Tommy John surgery, the Dodgers have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. Left-hander Tyler Anderson has helped pick up some of the slack and will pitch in the doubleheader nightcap, while rookie right-hander Michael Grove will pitch for Los Angeles in the opener. Anderson (15-3, 2.62 ERA) already has more victories than he had in the past three seasons combined over 49 starts. Tuesday will be his 26th start of this season. His most recent appearance came Sept. 12 at Arizona when he held the Diamondbacks scoreless on five hits over seven innings in a 6-0 victory. It was Anderson's fourth scoreless outing of at least seven innings this season. |
|||||||
09-19-22 | Diamondbacks v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 2 h 57 m | Show |
The Los Angeles Dodgers return home Monday as National League West champions, facing the Arizona Diamondbacks in the opener of an extended five-game series, which also is the start of an eight-game homestand. When the teams met at Arizona on Tuesday, the Dodgers earned a 4-0 victory to wrap up their ninth division title in the past 10 seasons. A day later, though, Los Angeles' main weakness was exposed when closer Craig Kimbrel gave up a game-ending home run to the Diamondbacks' Sergio Alcantara. Kimbrel has been on a rocky ride in his first season as the Dodgers' closer, blowing five saves, getting tagged with a loss six times and posting a 3.96 ERA in 52 1/3 innings. Other late-inning relief options like right-handers Blake Treinen and Brusdar Graterol have struggled with injuries. With the playoffs fast approaching, the Dodgers remain in search of answers for the back end of their bullpen. Despite the bullpen troubles, the Dodgers not only clinched the division title, they also reached the 100-win mark Saturday with a victory at San Francisco. Los Angeles has won at least 100 games in each of the past three full seasons and four times in the last five full seasons. |
|||||||
09-18-22 | Dodgers v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
Having checked off two boxes, the Los Angeles Dodgers will continue pursuit of a third when they wrap up their season series against the San Francisco Giants with one last game at their rival's home on Sunday. Having already clinched the National League West, the Dodgers (100-44) became a 100-game winner Saturday night with a 7-2 victory behind a 13-hit attack and a 17th win from left-hander Julio Urias. The next goal for Los Angeles would be to finish the regular season with the best record in the NL, which would assure it of the home-field advantage through the league playoffs. The Dodgers have a 9 1/2-game lead over the New York Mets (92-55) in that race with 18 games remaining. If the Dodgers are going to add to their win total in the series finale, they're going to have to do it against one of the Giants' hottest pitchers, Alex Cobb (6-6, 3.48). The right-hander has pitched seven innings of shutout ball against two of his past three opponents, including the Atlanta Braves in a 3-2 home win on Monday. He's pitched in 7-4, 3-0 and 7-3 losses to Los Angeles this season -- he was charged with just one loss -- in his first three career outings against the rival, compiling a 5.51 ERA in those games despite having had success against Trea Turner (2-for-13) and Freddie Freeman (2-for-12). |
|||||||
09-18-22 | Marlins v. Nationals UNDER 7.5 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 32 m | Show
The Washington Nationals will look to complete their first three-game sweep of the season on Sunday afternoon when they host the Miami Marlins. The Nationals (51-94) belted four solo home runs on Saturday en route to a 5-3 win over the Marlins (59-87), who have dropped two straight and four of their past five games. Washington has won two straight after a five-game losing streak. After winning the series opener 5-4 on Friday, Lane Thomas, Luke Voit, Victor Robles and Alex Call each went deep for the Nationals on Saturday. |
|||||||
09-17-22 | Mariners v. Angels OVER 7 | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 47 m | Show |
Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani will be on the mound against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday in Anaheim, Calif., one week removed from being lifted from a game because of a blister on his finger. Ohtani gave up one run and struck out seven through five innings against the Houston Astros last Saturday. When he threw a couple of warm-up pitches before the start of the sixth, however, the blister on his right index finger bothered him enough to convince Angels interim manager Phil Nevin to take him out. |
|||||||
09-17-22 | Orioles v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 3-6 | Loss | -120 | 3 h 51 m | Show
After winning the opener with a bullpen game, the Toronto Blue Jays will start right-hander Jose Berrios for the middle game of their series against the visiting Baltimore Orioles on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays (82-63) used seven pitchers on Friday night in their 6-3 victory over the Orioles (75-68) that opened a three-game set. Struggling lefty Yusei Kikuchi (5-7) blew a fifth-inning lead and allowed two runs in two innings but still picked up the win. Matt Chapman had two home runs and three RBIs while going 3-for-4 and George Springer added a three-run homer for the Blue Jays. The Orioles, who got home runs from Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson, did not lose ground as they hold flickering hopes for an American League wild-card spot. While they fell six games behind the Blue Jays, who sit in the top wild-card position, they remain 4 1/2 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays (80-64), who hold the third and final wild-card spot. The Orioles and Blue Jays are even at 7-7 in their season series that has five games remaining, including a three-game set that ends the season Oct. 3-5 in Baltimore. Berrios (10-5, 5.07 ERA) is a stellar 7-0 with a 3.05 ERA in 10 career starts against Baltimore. He is 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA in two starts vs. the Orioles this year. The win came on Sept. 5, when he tossed six-plus innings and gave up three runs, two earned. The Orioles will start right-hander Kyle Bradish (3-6, 5.01 ERA), who is 0-1 with a 7.27 ERA in his four starts against the Blue Jays, all this season. |
|||||||
09-16-22 | Marlins v. Nationals +1.5 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 58 m | Show
The Washington Nationals and the Miami Marlins are limping toward the finish line, dreaming of better days in the future. Washington, which will host Miami for a three-game series that begins on Friday, has the worst record in the major leagues (49-94). The Nationals have lost five straight games, and their run differential is also the worst in the majors. Miami (59-85) has lost or tied seven straight series. The Marlins' last series win was Aug. 22-24 at the Oakland A's, who are the worst team in the American League. Washington's big hope is rookie shortstop CJ Abrams, the sixth overall pick in the 2019 draft, selected by the San Diego Padres. Abrams, who turns 22 next month, was acquired in last month in the Juan Soto trade. In 72 games overall this year, Abrams is batting .232 with eight doubles, one triple, two homers, 17 RBIs and a .577 OPS. He also has three steals in seven tries, and the Nationals are pleased with his defense. |
|||||||
09-15-22 | Padres v. Diamondbacks OVER 9 | Top | 0-4 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 30 m | Show |
The San Diego Padres currently possess the National League's third wild-card spot, but they continue to have trouble creating distance from the Milwaukee Brewers. The Padres, who have dropped three of their past four games, aim to start a sprint to the finish when they face the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday night in the opener of a four-game series at Phoenix. San Diego (78-65) stands two games ahead of the Brewers (76-67) after both clubs lost their Wednesday games. The Padres fell 6-1 to the Seattle Mariners for a split of the two-game set. San Diego is 11-4 against Arizona, which presents an opportunity for the Padres to begin a difference-making burst. |
|||||||
09-15-22 | Phillies -125 v. Marlins | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -125 | 4 h 35 m | Show |
The Philadelphia Phillies -- perhaps without first baseman Rhys Hoskins -- will shoot for a three-game sweep of the host Miami Marlins on Thursday night. Hoskins suffered a bruise on his right hand when he was hit by a pitch from Edward Cabrera in the third inning on Wednesday. X-rays were negative. Even so, the Phillies (80-62) went on to win their fifth consecutive game. Former Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto victimized his former team with two homers and four RBIs in a 6-1 victory. The Phillies, who hold the second of three National League wild-card positions, have won 10 of their past 12 meetings with the Marlins. Miami won the teams' first head-to-head series this year, taking three out of four games at home in mid-April, but the Phillies have dominated since then. |
|||||||
09-14-22 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 2 h 15 m | Show |
The Diamondbacks have dropped six of their past seven games. Arizona has yet to score a run in the series and has just eight hits. You have two pitchers who's numbers would indicate and over is on the horizon but I anticipate both touching quality starts. |
|||||||
09-13-22 | Braves v. Giants UNDER 8 | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show
One year after fending off spoiler attempts as they outlasted the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West race, the San Francisco Giants will be looking to deal the visiting Atlanta Braves a second straight costly blow when the clubs continue a three-game series on Tuesday. The Giants (68-73), who have formally been eliminated in their bid for a division-title repeat, won a third consecutive game in the series opener on Monday. San Francisco got a lift from San Francisco Bay Area native Willie Calhoun in his debut with the team. |
|||||||
09-13-22 | Angels v. Guardians UNDER 8 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
Cody Morris will take the mound for the host Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Angels, though for a brief moment not long ago, Morris wasn't so sure he would be in the major leagues at this point. Morris (0-1, 3.00 ERA) spent most of the year dealing with a shoulder strain before pitching for Triple-A Columbus in August. After three starts and three relief appearances with the Clippers, he was called into Clippers manager Andy Tracy's office. As a prank, Tracy told Morris the plan for the rest of the season was to get him stretched out, but he'd be doing it in Class-A ball. "I was like, 'What?' I couldn't believe it," Morris said. "He was like, 'Make sure to stop at Progressive Field on your way in, that's where you're going.' " Tuesday's start will be Morris' third with the Guardians (74-65). He gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks in just two innings of a start against Seattle on Sept. 2. |

The over is 10-4 in the So last 14 rod games against a left-handed starter. Both teams are under machines but the fact is this number is too small for my database. |

09-08-22 | White Sox v. A's +1.5 | 14-2 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 54 m | Show
The White Sox are 25-55 in their last 80 meetings in Oakland, while the Sox have lost 7 of their last 10 road games. |
|||||||
09-08-22 | Twins +1.5 v. Yankees | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 31 m | Show |
The Yankees are just 4-10 in game four of a series. They have been an unreliable wager since the start of the second half and I'm willing to take the twins and the plus money as they try to break their New York jinx. |
|||||||
09-07-22 | Marlins +1.5 v. Phillies | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 17 m | Show |
