Both the Cowboys and Packers are in the midst of playoff races for division titles.
The Packers, at 8-4, makes sense. They currently sit tied atop the NFC North with the Minnesota Vikings. Because of head-to-head tiebreaker rules, the Packers are above Minnesota.

Now, at just 4-8, the Cowboys being in a division race doesn’t make much sense. However, thats how bad the NFC East is. Dallas is in last place, but just 1 game out as 3 teams are tied at 5-7 atop the division.
Dallas
The Cowboys season has been completely unorthodox.
After starting the season 2-0, both Tony Romo and Dez Bryant went down and the Cowboys looked to a very inexperienced
receiving core along with backup QBs.
After Brandon Weeden failed, Matt Cassel stepped in. He was better, but failed as well to get into the win column. Weeden and Cassel went a combined 0-7 before Romo returned.

Romo got a win at Miami and kept the Cowboys within 2.5 games of the division, but then went down on Thanksgiving Day with the same injury. Matt Cassel was once again called upon and got a giant win on Monday night against Washington to keep the Cowboys right in the thick of the race.
The Cowboys defense was the main reason for the win on Monday night. They held the Skins to just 266 yards and 16 points. On the season, Dallas is allowing just 23.1 points per game.
Green Bay Packers
After starting the season undefeated, the Packers came back to the pack after dropping 3 straight games.
They got back in the win column and it looked like they had righted the ship. However, on Thursday Night Football, they saw the Lions race out to a 20-0 lead and it looked like the Packers would fall even further behind the Vikings.
With just 6 seconds left, the Packers lined up for a Hail Mary attempt, but Rodgers was sacked as time expired. Rodgers drew a facemask call, which was quite questionable, giving the Packers another chance. Rodgers launched a 61 yard pass that found the hands of the Richard Rogers.

Green Bay has now won 2 of their last 3 and will head back to Lambeau where they’ve lost their last 2 games.
The Packers fell to Detroit 18-16 and then to the Bears on Thanksgiving night 17-13.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Green Bay ATS
The Packers haven’t played well as of late, as they should have loss their 3rd game in 4 tries. But a giant break could be just what this team needed.
Look for Rodgers to get back to vintage ways as the Packers dominate the Cowboys at home here.
