NFL Divisional Round playoff betting
Wild Card Weekend was filled with drama, late heroics, and road teams dominating. Now, it’s time for the first round byes to come into play and they will take on the winners of Wild Card games.
The Chiefs advanced as they routed the Texans in Houston to kick things off. That game was followed up on Saturday night with a wild and wacky finish in Cincinnati that saw Pittsburgh kick a game winning field goal after it was gift wrapped for them.
In Sunday’s action, the Seahawks were on the beneficial side of a hooked field goal from just 27 yards out. The weekend was capped off with Aaron Rodgers going into Washington and dismantling them from the 2nd quarter on.

The most intriguing matchup is certainly going to be Seattle against Carolina. Two teams who have complete momentum will face off with one another on a matchup that will certainly get the most ratings here in the divisional rounds.
The most surprising line of them all has to be Pittsburgh catching 6.5 points against the Broncos. Pittsburgh defeated the Broncos in Week 15, granted it was Brock Osweiler instead of Peyton Manning, who will be under center this weekend.
Kansas City vs. New England
The Chiefs just kept on rolling during Wild Card Weekend as they won their 11th straight after dominating the Texans in Houston 30-0. Kansas City forced 3 first half interceptions from Brian Hoyer and eventually pulled away in the 3rd quarter as their defense was just simple too good for the Texans.
They’ll be going up against a much tougher task this week in Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. WR Julian Edelman remains a game time decision, but the defending Super Bowl Champions have shown no signs of slowing down this season.
The Patriots bring in a home record this season of 7-1 SU and have won home games by an average of 14 points.
Prediction: New England -5
Regardless of Edelman’s status, the Patriots at home with this low of a number is worth the price. New England has dominated the opposition on both sides of the ball at in Foxsborough with the exception of the fluke against the Eagles. Expect Brady to come out firing as New England rolls here.
New England Patriots 27- Kansas City 13

Green Bay Packers vs. Arizona Cardinals
Aaron Rodgers looked like vintage Rodgers for the first time in quite some time as he completely turned things around in the 2nd quarter against the Redskins. After going down 9-0, the Packers turned things up about 10 notches and completely throttled the Skins from that point on.
They’ll head into Arizona to take on a Cardinals team that is 9-1 in their last 10 games overall. The Cardinals lone blemish came against the Seahawks in the final week of the season, but that won’t stop them here. Arizona knocked off Seattle (in Seattle), Cincinnati, Minnesota, and Green Bay during their previous 9 game winning streak.
Arizona went 6-2 at home during the regular season while the Packers are now 6-3 on the road following their Wild Card win.
Prediction: Green Bay +7
Green Bay looked unstoppable last week offensively. While they’ll be going up against a much stronger defense, the Packers will certainly have a shot to win this one outright if Rodgers plays at that level again. Grab the points here as the Packers do fall just short, but cover the number.
Arizona Cardinals 24- Green Bay Packers 21
Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers
This is surely the best game on paper heading into the divisional rounds this weekend. The Seahawks were just 1 yard away from the Superbowl title last season, but threw a pick. They are eager to get back there and used a 10 point comeback combined with a Blair Walsh shanked field goal to advance past Minnesota.
The Panthers on the other hand have been the talk of the NFL. They rattled off 14 straight wins to start the season then ran into Atlanta and fell inside the Georgia Dome to ruin their undefeated season.
Clearly, the Panthers have been the best team in the NFL this season. They have dominated on both sides of the ball and have had nobody stop them.
Carolina defeated Seattle, in Seattle, earlier this season 27-23.
Prediction: Carolina -2.5
Even though Seattle has steam, the Panthers haven’t been stopped. They’re still the most talented team all around and should be able to cover this low number at home this season.
Carolina Panthers 31- Seattle Seahawks 20

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos
This is the most intriguing line of the divisional matchups by far. You’re getting a Steelers team that comes in hot and that defeated this Broncos team back in Week 15.
Pittsburgh needed every break possible on Saturday as they got a Bengals fumble and two Bengals penalties to set them up in field goal range to kick the eventual game winning field goal.
Denver will go with Peyton Manning here in this one, but that doesn’t mean Brock Osweiler isn’t ready to go. Osweiler will be on call whether Manning struggles or goes down with an injury.
Prediction: Pittsburgh +6.5
Going into Denver and dealing with the mile high air won’t be an easy task by any means. However, this Steelers team is very talented with Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown. They are the team that could pull off the outright upset here in Denver. Look for them to take plenty of chances down field.
Pittsburgh Steelers 31- Denver Broncos 27
