Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Utah Utes Odds & Last 5
Utah is a double-digit favorite for Saturday night’s matchup.
The Utes are currently laying 12.5 points, with Arkansas getting +12.5 as the road underdog. Utah is also a substantial moneyline favorite, while Arkansas offers a much larger return to pull the upset. The total has moved down from earlier numbers and is now sitting around 54.5 points.
Arkansas secured a 31-14 win over North Alabama in its opener. The Razorbacks produced 415 total yards, including 267 through the air, while allowing only 153 yards.
Utah dominated Idaho 66-14 behind 633 total yards and nine touchdowns. The Utes rushed for 364 yards and averaged 8.6 yards per play on first down. Both teams are 1-0, but Utah enters this matchup as the ranked team with home-field advantage.
Utes Stats
The Utah Utes opened the 2026 season with a dominant 66-14 victory over Idaho. Utah piled up 633 total yards while scoring on five of its six first-half possessions. The Utes finished with 269 passing yards and another 364 on the ground.
Quarterback Devon Dampier led the offense with an efficient season debut.
Dampier completed 13 of 18 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Backup Byrd Ficklin also contributed 93 passing yards and two touchdowns as Utah used its quarterback depth.
The running game was just as effective, with LaMarcus Bell rushing for 87 yards and a touchdown. Wayshawn Parker scored three times while contributing both as a runner and receiver. Ficklin also rushed for 70 yards as one of three Utah players to reach that mark on the ground.
Defensively, the Utes allowed Idaho only 225 total yards and 14 points. Utah also recorded a sack, intercepted one pass and recovered a fumble in a complete opening-night performance.

Razorbacks Stats
The Arkansas Razorbacks also started the 2026 season with a victory. They beat North Alabama 31-14 to give Ryan Silverfield a win in his first game as Arkansas head coach.
On offense, the Razorbacks produced 415 total yards, including 267 through the air. KJ Jackson completed 24 of 35 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns. He threw one interception while adding another 27 yards on the ground.

Braylen Russell led the backfield with 49 yards and a touchdown, while Chris Marshall caught seven passes for 79 yards. Razorbacks vs. Utes QB Matchup
Devon Dampier leads the Utah Utes as their starting quarterback. He completed 13 of 18 passes against Idaho for 176 yards and three touchdowns. Dampier did not throw an interception and is now 11-2 as Utah’s starting quarterback.
Backing up Dampier is Byrd Ficklin, who also saw significant action in the opener. Ficklin completed four of eight passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns while adding 70 rushing yards.
For Arkansas, KJ Jackson is the starting quarterback after winning the job during fall camp.
Jackson completed 24 of 35 passes against North Alabama for 267 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed 10 times for 27 yards in his second career start. His first road start of 2026 now comes against a ranked Utah team at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Utah Utes bottom line: Both teams handled their opening assignments, while Utah brings the ranked roster and home-field advantage into Week 2.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Utah Utes Football Betting Trends
- Arkansas has gone 12-5 against the spread in their last 17 away games.
- Also, when Arkansas plays as an underdog, they are 15-9 against the spread in their last 24 games.
- The Razorbacks have a 19-10 over/under record after a win in their last 29 games.
- Utah has a strong 24-6 straight-up record in their last 30 home games.
- Additionally, the Utes are 23-6 straight-up as favorites in their last 29 games.

Razorbacks Utes Free Pick: Utah -12.5
Here is my Razorbacks Utes free pick: I’m laying the points with Utah -12.5. Rice-Eccles is a difficult place for Arkansas to make its first road start of the season.
Utah overwhelmed Idaho with 633 total yards, including 364 on the ground. That rushing attack can make life uncomfortable for an Arkansas defense that was barely tested by North Alabama, which managed only 153 total yards in the opener. The bigger edge is Utah’s offensive depth.
Devon Dampier threw three touchdown passes without an interception, while backup Byrd Ficklin added two more scores through the air. Utah also had three players reach at least 70 rushing yards, so Arkansas cannot load up on one runner and expect to slow this offense.
That balance is exactly what I want when laying double digits.
Arkansas has enough offense to keep this interesting early. KJ Jackson threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns in Week 1, but this is a serious jump from an FCS opponent to a ranked Utah team on the road.
Utah can create separation without asking Dampier to carry the entire offense.
My NCAA football gambling system likes favorites that can win multiple ways, and Utah checks that box here. Utah -12.5.
