The Seahawks travel east as they get set to take on the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals for a Week 5 showdown.
The Bengals knocked off the Chiefs 36-21 Sunday as they forced the Chiefs into field goal after field goal.
As for the Seahawks, they got a lucky break from the refs as they held on to defeat the Lions 13-10 on Monday Night Football.
Kick off is schedule for 1:00 PM EST.
Luck, refs, perfect timing. All three can be described in Seattle’s 13-10 win over the Lions on Monday Night Football. Up just 13-10 with over a minute remaining, Lions WR Calvin Johnson caught a pass near the goal line.
Johnson reached across the line, but the ball was knocked out and fell into the endzone. Seahawks KJ Wright clearly batted the ball out of the end zone and it was called a touchback. By rule, that should have been an illegal batting play, thus giving the ball to the Lions on 1.
However, that wasn’t the case, the Seahawks ran the clock out and clinched their 2nd win of the season.
QB Russell Wilson finished 20 of 26 for 287 yards and a touchdown. Wilson was sacked 6 times in the contest, something the Seahawks will have to clearly improve on going forward.
The run game for Seattle lacked a lot, but they had a valid excuse. RB Marshawn Lynch was ruled out with a hamstring injury. The RB is expected to be back this week.
The Bengals continue to be one of the most impressive teams out of the gate. QB Andy Dalton and WR AJ Green continue to flourish as a tandem and the Bengals remain unbeaten heading into Week 5.
Last week, Cincinnati dropped Kansas City 36-21 and that was thanks in large part to their defensive stands.
The Bengals D sacked Alex Smith 5 times and forced the Chiefs into 7 field goals in the game.
QB Andy Dalton finished 321 passing yards and completed over 70% of his passes. Dalton continues his impressive start to the season as he is 2nd in the entire NFL in passer rating.
Cincinnati has also been a solid bet ATS at home. Over their last 20 games, the Bengals are 15-4-1 ATS.

While the Bengals are hot right now, the Seahawks are just heating up. Their defense is back to old form and will be on their top game in stopping the Dalton-Green connection.
