The Dallas Cowboys season has been a wreck. Through injuries and inconsistencies, they likely played their way out of the playoffs with a loss to Green Bay last week.
They now need to win out and hope everything falls into place and that starts with their game against the Jets on Saturday.
Things are completely different for the Jets who have now won 3 straight and continue their pursuit of an AFC Wild Card spot.
The Jets have really been one of the more surprising teams in the AFC this season.
They’ve built such a solid foundation that they’re not just doing damage this season, but will have a solid team to come for a couple years going forward.
Led by QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Jets have added RB Chris Ivory in the backfield and have given Fitzpatrick two solid targets out wide in WR Eric Decker and WR Brandon Marshall. It’s became a normality that Deck and Marshall have touchdown receptions in games.
The Jets gave it to the Titans on Sunday as they routed them 30-8 and looked quite impressive doing so. The Jets defense played headliner in this one as they allowed just 292 total yards from the Titans and limited them to only 24 rushing yards.
New York has allowed just 19.7 points per game, which ranks 8th in the league.
New York is 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 road games, dating back to last season.
The Cowboys have just been a mess all season long.
After starting 2-0, Romo went down and so did the Cowboys. They dropped 7 straight games, but somehow managed to remain just 2.5 games back of first place in the division. QB Tony Romo returned, got them back in the win column, but then in a route from the Panthers, Romo went down with another collarbone injury.
The Cowboys still managed to stay within 1 game after winning against Washington, but last week’s loss to Green Bay may have put things to rest for them.
Three teams sit tied at 6-7 in the NFC East with the Cowboys at 4-9 in last, so they’ll need to win out and finish 7-9 while hoping for essentially a miracle.
RB Darren McFadden has been the guy to lead the offensive charge as he racked up 111 yards in the loss to Green Bay. With Matt Cassel unable to really produce anything offensively, WR Dez Bryant has been quite limited.
With that, all the pressure sits on McFadden’s shoulders going forward, needing the RB to produce and find the end zone on a regular basis.
NFL Betting Trends:

- Cowboys are 0-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Dallas ATS
With the Cowboys being at home and them continuing to somehow stay relevant, grabbing the points here may not be so bad.
When they continue to look like they’re eliminated, they end up getting right back into the race.

McFadden finds some success on the ground and the Cowboys defense plays a huge role in forcing some turnovers as the Cowboys grab an outright win here on Sunday.
