Arguably the biggest 2014 underachievers and overachievers in the NFL get ready for their Week 1 matchup as the New Orleans Saints head west to take on the Arizona Cardinals.
The Saints finished with their 2nd losing season in 3 years and had still had plenty of chances to take their division by storm. However, late turnovers and unable to get defensive stops in final drives doomed their Playoff fate.
As for the Cardinals, they went through quarterback after quarterback as they battled their way to a Playoff birth. They ultimately dropped their Wild Card affair thanks to a lack of offensive production.

Carson Palmer returns from an injury as he gets set to battle fellow top tier QB Drew Brees Sunday afternoon.
Kickoff is set for 4:05 on FOX.
New Orleans Saints
Once a top threat in the NFL to not just make the playoffs, but to also make a push at the Superbowl, the New Orleans Saints are now just trying to get themselves back to old form heading into the 2015 season.
Drew Brees has easily made himself one of the best QBs in the game, but following a shocking offseason move, he’s lost his main target in TE Jimmy Graham.
Brees used the word “shocked” when describing his emotions as the Saints sent Graham to the Seahawks for C Max Unger and a future first round pick. Now, Brees will have to look else where, especially in the red zone where Graham and him shined.

Brees will have targets such as Marques Colston and Brandin Cooks. At the TE position, replacing Graham will be the newly signed Benjamin Watson.
While the Saints were a major OVER team last year, ATS they were miserable. They finished 6-10 in 2014.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals can consider 2014 a HUGE success. How is a loss in the Wild Card game considered a huge success? Well, when you’re on your 4th or 5th QB, just making the playoffs is an incredible feat itself.
That’s exactly where the Cardinals were when they saw QB after QB go down, but will enter the 2015 season with a healthy Carson Palmer.
Palmer went down in 2014 with a torn ACL, but his said to 100% entering the season opener. Should he go down, the Cardinals will once against have Drew Stanton behind him with Matt Barkley not too far behind.
