Game 2 of the NFL’s Monday Night Football doubleheader will head to California where the Minnesota Vikings come in to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
San Francisco will obviously begin the 2015 season under new management with Harbaugh heading to Michigan to coach the Wolverines. Coming in to handle the duties will be Jim Tomsula.
Tomsula was promoted from within as he was the defensive line coach for the 49ers last season.

Minnesota will welcome back Adrian Peterson who had a more than weird 2014 season that saw him essentially get kicked out of the NFL, then reinstated.
Minnesota Vikings
It took an appeal process, but Adrian Peterson is finally reinstated back into the NFL and will be in the backfield Week 1 when the team takes the field against the 49ers.
Peterson was suspended last year for allegations of how he handled the discipline of his 4 year old son. However, the real suspensions started coming in when he failed to follow NFL regulations and attend hearings and meetings.
Peterson’s presence is sure to improve an offense that averaged only 315.5 total yards a game (27th overall) in 2014.

If Bridgewater can match his 2014 here in 2015, with Peterson along side him, the Vikings could be in for a special season. Bridgewater threw for 2919 yards and 14 touchdowns to go along with 209 rushing yards and a rushing TD.
Bridgewater will have Mike Wallace to throw to out wide this year along with Jarius Wright, and Charles Johnson. Wallace comes in to replace Greg Jennings which will be a definite upgrade.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers situation with Jim Harbaugh was a bit confusing. The 49ers have been a solid team in the NFC under Harbaugh, but it looked as if they almost pushed him away and told him to take the job at Michigan.
However it happened doesn’t matter now though as new head coach Jim Tomsula has taken over the team and will look to prove some doubters wrong.

While the 49ers have so many questions to be answered this year, they atleast know who their QB is. QB Colin Kaepernick threw for 3369 yards in 2014 to go along with 19 touchdowns.
Even with Michael Crabtree leaving, Kaepernick will still have a compliment of targets to work with. He’ll have Anquan Boldin and new 49er Torrey Smith.
The 49ers are heading in a new direction with the running backs this season. Carlos Hyde will be the #1 after being a backup in 2014 and will have Reggie Bush along side with him.

Yes there are a lot of unanswered questions still for the 49ers. However, they still have plenty of talent to go with and behind a sold out home opener crowd, they should be able to power through here.
