The Bengals are on a roll and this looks like an easy victory for one of the more complete teams in the league.
Kick off is set for 8:30 PM ET its a shame when we don’t get at least a game that is expected to be close in the prime time slots.
The Texans are not very good this season. They can’t run the ball and their defense which was supposed to be in the upper half has not been very good.
They only have three wins on the year and all are against the dregs of the league so it seems unlikely that they are going to rise up and bag the Bengals this week.
The lone bright spot has been the play of Brian Hoyer. I am still not sold on him as being the kind of guy you want long term but the numbers have been good this season – four 100+ ratings in his last five starts.
Some of those numbers have been aided by the fact the Texans play a lot of catch up. The defense has failed to play up to expectations and J.J. Watt has not been the all over monster we have come to expect – he is second in the league in sacks though.
The history between these two clubs favours the Texans but I am not sure of its relevance for this contest.
The Bengals are undefeated and that is hard notion for most to rationalize. If you think that is tough it may be even harder to get behind this being the best balanced team in the league.
I know, they still have to prove it in the playoffs.
I say best balanced because this team can be elite both offensively and defensively. They can beat you so many ways right now and are doing it.
Another fact we may have to get used to is Andy Dalton being considered, if not elite, near elite as a QB. The Red Rifle is on the cover of ESPN and he has shown that he can orchestrate their enjoyable attack.
Not to be forgotten either is that they are keeping pressure on him to a bare minimum.
Bengals fans are loving this but bettors should be too. They are 7-0-1 against the spread this season.

I don’t like that double digit number. Its not that Cincy can’t cover it but I don’t think there is much value there.
