The Bills come to New England with a big victory over NFC favorite Arizona, while New England embarrassed Houston last Thursday Night.
Kick off is set for 1:00 PM ET with QB Tyrod Taylor getting the start for the Bills with Jakoby Brissett opposing him.
Tyrod Taylor did not have a good game throwing the ball, as the passing game is still a big work in progress this season.
Going up against a defense that shut down Houston’s playmakers on the outside, I expect another rough game for Taylor through the air.
The Bills did do a good job running the football, as Lesean McCoy had 17 carries for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns. He and Taylor (76 yards rushing and a score) will both need to be at their best to keep the New England offense off the field.
The receiving corps didn’t do much last week as Robert Woods was the only receiver to have more than 5 catches.
This week should be easier in theory, but I don’t see it happening with Taylor’s inaccurate passes to start the season.
The Bills defense had an excellent game against Carson Palmer, forcing him into 4 interceptions and 0 touchdowns.
Whichever QB faces Rex Ryan and the defense will have to watch out for the big mistakes. The defense also had 5 sacks against a good Cardinals O-line.
New England Patriots
A lot of people are surprised at the Patriots 3-0 start this year. With the unknown Jimmy Garappolo at best a 2-2 record during Tom Brady’s suspension would be seen as a win.
But to get a shutout against an AFC south contender with a rookie QB?
This team should be the front and center favorite to win the Super Bowl once Tom Brady steps onto the field.
Rookie QB Jacoby Brissett had an underwhelming, but serviceable game.
The key fact in the win against Houston was that he did not turn the ball over and only was sacked one time against a good Texans pass rush.
LeGarrette Blount pounded the Texans defense to the tune of 24 rushes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns.
I expect him to be a key factor this week against a Bills defense that allowed 83 yards and 2 touchdowns to David Johnson.
The Patriots passing game should have one more weak output before Brady’s return, with Edelman leading the unit I expect small contributions from the main downfield threats.
Getting a shutout means that your defense had to play phenomenal, and the Pats did just that against Houston. They kept Lamar Miller in check with 80 yards and 3.8 ypc.
They also forced Brock Osweiler into an interception and 2 sacks. Look for the defense to continue the hot streak this week.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Patriots ATS
I expect the Patriots to attack the Bills front seven with LeGarratte Blount, who should reach the 100 yard mark and get another 2 scores.
Look for Brissett to manage the game and not make the big turnover that plagued Palmer last week.
Takes the Pats ATS.
NFL Free Score Prediction: New England 31 – Buffalo 17
The Pats will control this one throughout, and it won’t be much of a contest heading into the 4th.
