11-24-22 | Manhattan +4.5 v. Northeastern | Top | 67-69 | Win | 100 | 1 h 50 m | Show |
The Huskies are now 0-4 while the Jaspers sit at 1-2. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Northeastern is the 21st worst in college basketball in takeaways, with only 10.8 on average. Manhattan has experienced some struggles of its own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 358th most turnovers per game in college basketball, having accrued 19 on average. |

11-23-22 | Clippers +9 v. Warriors | Top | 107-124 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 40 m | Show |
Golden State Warriors fans hope to see the Klay Thompson they witnessed on television last week when the defending champions open a three-day, two-game homestand with their first matchup of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. The Pacific Division rivals both were missing key players in their last outing and came away with different results. The Clippers were without Paul George (strained right hamstring) and Luke Kennard (strained right calf) when they completed a 3-0 homestand with a 121-114 victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday night. Norman Powell and Reggie Jackson led the way with 30 and 27 points, respectively. The Clippers also got eight points and five assists from Kawhi Leonard in just his third game since returning from nearly a month-long absence due to soreness in his surgically repaired right knee. The five-time All-Star has played no more than 25 minutes in any game during his comeback and has averaged just 8.3 points and 4.3 assists in the last three games. Despite regular lineup shuffling, the Clippers have counted upon depth to get the season off to a winning start. |

11-23-22 | Pistons v. Jazz -11 | 125-116 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 48 m | Show
The Utah Jazz front office's decision to trade All-Stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert in exchange for a boatload of first-round picks caused a whirlwind of reactions and emotions this offseason around NBA circles and especially in the Beehive State. The rebuilding franchise made another deal, an under-the-radar move in comparison, that stung just as much for Jazz fans. Watching Bojan Bogdanovic, a fan favorite, get traded to Detroit was a tough one for many to swallow. A night after scoring 22 points with nine rebounds to lead the Pistons to a thrilling 110-108 win at Denver, Bogdanovic will undoubtedly receive a warm welcome Wednesday night in Salt Lake City when he and his new team visit. It'll be his first trip to Utah since being sent to Motown in exchange for Kelly Olynyk, Saben Lee, and cash considerations. Bogdanovic averaged 18.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists during his three seasons with the Jazz. He shot 44.7 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from 3-point territory and had many memorable moments that will live in Utah lore, including game-winning buzzer-beaters against the Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets. |

11-23-22 | Pelicans v. Spurs +7.5 | Top | 129-110 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 43 m | Show |
The Spurs will head home after a disastrous five-game trip in which they lost in San Francisco, Portland, Sacramento and in Los Angeles twice, with the average margin of defeat 23 points per game. The closest game on the trip was a 117-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. That was the only game of the five that San Antonio had all of its regular starters available. The Spurs' most recent setback was a 123-92 loss Sunday to the Lakers, who won easily despite playing without injured LeBron James. San Antonio was down by 18 at the half and then missed its first 11 shots of the third quarter to put to rest any notion of getting back in the game. Devin Vassell led San Antonio with 17 points, with Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan scoring 12 each, and Tre Jones and Josh Richardson adding 10 apiece. San Antonio, which has dropped 10 of their past 11 contests, played without Jakob Poeltl, who had been its leading scorer in two of its past three games. "We have a young team. Winning is hard in the NBA," said Gorgui Dieng, who started in Poeltl's spot. "They're learning. Whether you win or lose, just make sure you have the right habits. Tonight was a very bad game for us." Spurs coach Gregg Popovich also missed the game after falling ill beforehand. Assistant coach Brett Brown ran the team in his absence. "The end of a long road trip, five games in seven nights, is always going to be difficult," Brown said after Sunday's loss. "We're better than we played (Sunday). They have competed at a far greater level than they did tonight. We will respond. They're a prideful group." Wednesday's game will mark the first contest in a three-game homestand for San Antonio. Nine of the Spurs' next 11 contests will be at home. |

11-23-22 | Wizards +1.5 v. Heat | Top | 105-113 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
The Washington Wizards have enjoyed a reversal of fortune by walking away with six wins in their last seven games, but seeing their star limp off the court is cause for concern. The Wizards begin a back-to-back series of games at the Miami Heat on Wednesday with Bradley Beal's availability in limbo due to a right quadriceps injury. "He'll be evaluated and then we will make a determination," Washington coach Wes Unseld Jr. said. Beal sustained the injury during the final minute of the Wizards' 106-102 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. He finished the game with 26 points, one shy of his total in Washington's 107-106 overtime win over an undermanned Miami squad on Friday. Beal has missed five of his team's 17 games this season due to a stint in health and safety protocol following a positive test for COVID-19. He boasts team-leading averages in points (22.7) and assists (5.8) points while shooting a robust 51.2 percent from the floor. Kyle Kuzma recorded his fifth double-double of the season after collecting 28 points and 10 rebounds against the Hornets. He had 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the previous encounter versus the Heat. |

11-23-22 | Louisville +9 v. Cincinnati | 62-81 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 33 m | Show
The Louisville Cardinals had a brutal game offensively last time out as they were only able to score 38 points on 11-of-49 (22.4 percent) from the floor and 3-of-18 (16.7 percent) from beyond the arc. They passed the ball decently well as they had just five assists on 11 field goal attempts. Junior forward Jae’lyn Withers finished the game with 26 minutes played and had seven points and five rebounds. |

11-23-22 | Wolves v. Pacers | Top | 115-101 | Win | 100 | 12 h 45 m | Show |
Minnesota brings a four-game winning streak into Indiana. The Timberwolves' run has combined improved offensive efficiency, with Minnesota producing two of its four highest-scoring games of the season in the streak's first two outings, and tough defense. The Timberwolves have held each of their past three opponents to less than 110 points, including limiting Miami to 101 in a four-point Minnesota win on Monday. The Heat's 101 points were the fewest the Timberwolves have surrendered in a game this season. Anthony Edwards told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that Monday was a "tough game, ugly game," but added, "It was a great win and a great team win." Monday was the lone home-game interlude for Minnesota in a stretch playing six of seven games on the road. Wednesday's visit to Indiana marks the penultimate road contest in this span, with a Friday trip to Charlotte as the last game before the Timberwolves play four of five at home. |

11-22-22 | Lakers +10.5 v. Suns | Top | 105-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
Anthony Davis is enjoying his best stretch of the season and the Los Angeles Lakers aim to extend their season-long winning streak to four games Tuesday night when they visit the Phoenix Suns. Davis hadn't reached the 30-point mark prior to the current run but he is averaging 35 points a game during the span after outings of 37, 38 and 30 points. Davis also is averaging 17.3 rebounds during a stretch in which the Lakers are playing without LeBron James (adductor), who is listed as questionable for Tuesday and could miss his fifth consecutive game. Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham said the club will continue to be cautious with James. He sees no reason to rush things with the season not even 20 percent over. |
|||||||
11-22-22 | Pistons v. Nuggets -5.5 | Top | 110-108 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
The Grizzlies have lost their way defensively. After holding Charlotte and Washington to 99 and 97 points in the final two outings of a three-game winning streak at the beginning of the month, Memphis has watched each of its past seven opponents go for 102 or more. Two of those foes topped 120, including the Brooklyn Nets in a 127-115 home win over Memphis on Sunday. Dillon Brooks paced the short-handed Grizzlies with 31 points. Jaren Jackson Jr. joined Bane and Morant on the sidelines Sunday because he's being brought along slowly following off-season surgery on his right foot. He's expected back to face the Kings. "You take it in stride," Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said of the inconsistent lineups. "You control what you can control. We just got to rely on our depth." Memphis is 0-2 this season in games in which neither Bane nor Morant has played. Tyus Jones has started both of those games and has averaged 15 points and 5.5 assists. They will either play well defensively or get run out of the building. |
|||||||
11-22-22 | Kings +1.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 113-109 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show |
The last team to see the "old" Sacramento Kings will become the 12th to experience the new-and-improved edition when the Western Conference's hottest team visits the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night. The last time the clubs met, the Grizzlies handed the Kings their fourth consecutive loss to open the season as the Grizzlies got 31 points from Desmond Bane in a 125-110 victory in Sacramento. Much has changed in the nearly four weeks since. While the Kings have won nine of 11, including six in a row, the Grizzlies are just 6-6 while losing Bane to a sprained right big toe and Ja Morant to a sprained left ankle. Sacramento's winning ways figure to get tested on a four-day trip to Memphis, Atlanta and Boston that will sandwich Thanksgiving. The winning streak has featured double-figures scoring from seven different players, including De'Aaron Fox, who has used 57.7 percent shooting to fashion a 24-point scoring average during the run. |

11-22-22 | Nets v. 76ers +8 | Top | 106-115 | Win | 100 | 7 h 0 m | Show |
Coming off his best showing for the Brooklyn Nets since being traded from the 76ers, Ben Simmons heads into Tuesday's return to Philadelphia feeling good even while anticipating the reaction from 76ers' fans. "In Philly? Come on now, I know what's coming," Simmons said. "That's part of the game. Philly fans, one thing about Philly fans is they are incredible. They are diehard Philly and they are everything Philly, whatever it is. I respect that about the city. It's a sports town." Given their injury woes, Philadelphia will not be necessarily focused on the return of Simmons, who averaged 15.9 points in 275 regular-season games for them before making his last appearance with the team in Game 7 of the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals. The 76ers will be without star Joel Embiid with a left mid-foot sprain Saturday night and will miss at least two games. Already without James Harden for another two weeks because of a strained right foot, the Sixers lost Tyrese Maxey to a broken left foot Friday, and then Embiid injured his foot Saturday after colliding with teammate Georges Niang in the second half of a 112-109 loss to the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves. Tobias Harris (sore left hip), Furkan Korkmaz (knee) missed Saturday's game, and defensive specialist P.J. Tucker -- who often guards Brooklyn star Kevin Durant -- left that game due to an unspecified injury. However, it's the game after injuries where I like to grab points because replacements will be highly motivated to show what they can do. |

11-22-22 | Bowling Green +7.5 v. Ohio | 14-38 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 56 m | Show
Just when it seemed like the Falcons were going to fizzle out after a blowout loss to Kent State, they rose up and rocked Toledo last week with a huge day from the passing attack in the 42-35 win. Matt McDonald threw for 395 yards and four scores with the big plays there for the taking down the field, and now it’s up to the Ohio defense to stop it all. The Bobcat defense has been a problem, especially against the teams that can throw. The team is 5-0 when allowing fewer than 300 yards and 3-3 when it gives up that many or more |
|||||||
11-22-22 | Ball State +2.5 v. Miami-OH | Top | 17-18 | Win | 100 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
Carson Steele is Ball State’s offense this season. The running back ranks ninth in the FBS in rushing yards with 1,376 and the true sophomore has 12 rushing touchdowns in addition. Steele utilizes his 6’1”, 215-pound frame and impressive weight room numbers to shed tackles at a jaw-dropping rate. Last week, the midgame injury left him four yards shy of his sixth consecutive 100-yard rushing game. With his status in doubt Tuesday, Ball State must reimagine its offense, but the Cardinals could still lean heavily on the run game with Will Jones and Vaughn Pemberton out of the gate. |

11-21-22 | Jazz +3.5 v. Clippers | 114-121 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 53 m | Show
One month into the season, the Western Conference is up for grabs. Seven teams entered Sunday tied for the fewest losses (six), and the top 10 teams were within three games of each other. Nobody could've guessed who'd be in sole possession of first place out West, though. After impressive back-to-back wins over Phoenix and Portland, the Utah Jazz claimed the top spot with a 12-6 record heading into Monday's showdown in Los Angeles against the Clippers. After Utah traded All-Stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert along with steady starters Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O'Neale, some might not have expected the Jazz to amass a dozen victories all season. Surprise! "We're proud of the way we've represented ourselves after 18 games," Jazz coach Will Hardy said after his team held on for a 118-113 win in Portland on Saturday. "We believe we can get better. That's our focus. Like every team, we're not a finished product yet. That doesn't mean we're (not) proud of where we are at this point, but we can't get lost in what anybody is saying about us." |

11-21-22 | 49ers v. Cardinals +8.5 | 38-10 | Loss | -110 | 33 h 41 m | Show
In the mediocre NFC West, the San Francisco 49ers look like a team ready to make a charge up the standings. As for the Arizona Cardinals? Well, at least there's still hope. The 49ers and Cardinals meet in Mexico City on Monday night in a showdown between division rivals. It's also a rematch of the first regular-season NFL game played in another country: The Cardinals beat the 49ers 31-14 at Estadio Azteca in 2005 in front of more than 100,000 fans. San Francisco (5-4) is trying for its third straight win and has one of the best defenses in the league. The offense isn't quite as impressive, though it's stabilized under veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and recently acquired running back Christian McCaffery, who the Niners added a few weeks ago in a trade with the Panthers. The Cardinals (4-6) got a badly needed 27-17 win over the Rams last weekend with backup quarterback Colt McCoy under center. Starter Kyler Murray missed the game because of a sore hamstring. Murray hopes to be available Monday for a game that's crucial for staying in the playoff race. Look for Murray to give the Cardinals boost |

11-21-22 | Warriors v. Pelicans -6 | 83-128 | Win | 100 | 8 h 0 m | Show
The Golden State Warriors finally won a road game. Now they'll try to make in two in a row when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. The defending NBA champion Warriors lost their first eight road games of the season before they defeated the host Houston Rockets 127-120 on Sunday night. Klay Thompson scored a season-high 41 points and Stephen Curry added 33 for Golden State. "It didn't sit well with us, our 0-8 record," Curry said. "We had to scratch and claw to get this one, so to get that monkey off your back and feel good about yourselves (away from home), it matters." Thompson made 14 of 23 field-goal attempts, including 10 of 13 3-pointers. Curry finished 11 of 20 from the field, including 7 of 14 from long distance. He added a season-high 15 assists, one less than his career high. "It feels amazing," Thompson said of his breakout performance. "I'm hard on myself, so I've been wanting one of these. It felt great for me to just let that thing fly. And to get one and kind of open the floodgates, it's only up from here. It's something for me to build on. "I finally feel like myself. My legs feel great. I'm cutting to the rim, taking great shots, and I'm just excited for what's to come. That felt amazing. I don't care if it's a mid-November game. That felt great." On Monday night, the Warriors likely will face Zion Williamson, who said he expects to be back in the lineup. |
|||||||
11-21-22 | Heat v. Wolves -8.5 | Top | 101-105 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
The Minnesota Timberwolves will aim to stretch their season-best winning streak to four games when they host the injury-ravaged Miami Heat on Monday night. The Timberwolves will attempt to move above .500 for the first time since Oct. 30 against a Heat squad that will be without star Jimmy Butler for the third straight game. Minnesota averaged 122.3 points while winning the final three contests of a four-game trip. The Timberwolves defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 112-109 in Saturday's excursion-ending game. The fourth quarter was shaky as Minnesota saw a 15-point lead with under nine minutes to play trimmed to one with 29.1 seconds left before holding on. "There are positives and negatives," Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert said afterward. "I'm glad that we won. I really want to say that. But obviously, it's a little sour when you close the game like this." Minnesota coach Chris Finch was pleased with the escape but not with the late-game play. |

11-20-22 | Nuggets +10.5 v. Mavs | 98-97 | Win | 100 | 9 h 6 m | Show
The Dallas Mavericks had so much fun playing the visiting Denver Nuggets on Friday night that they are happy to do it again on Sunday. Dallas cruised to a 28-point win in the first of two games in three days with Denver, but it comes with a bit of an asterisk. The Nuggets played without three starters, including two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, and it showed against the Mavericks. Luka Doncic notched his fourth triple-double of the season (33 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists) and the 50th of his career after sitting out a game for rest, and it looked easy for him and his teammates. Dallas led by as many as 31 against a short-handed Denver squad. "It's great. It feels amazing," Doncic said. "It's a pleasure. I'm just really glad that I'm here and doing this." It doesn't look like the Nuggets will have Jokic back for the rematch. Coach Michael Malone said Friday night Jokic will remain in health and safety protocols for the third straight game, as will Jamal Murray, who missed Friday's game. In addition to Michael Porter Jr., the only other starter with a chance to play is Aaron Gordon, who has missed the past two games with a non-COVID illness. I still think 10 points is too much to lay against Denver who will surely bring their best. |

11-20-22 | Grizzlies v. Nets -7.5 | 115-127 | Win | 100 | 9 h 39 m | Show
Kyrie Irving's last appearance with the Brooklyn Nets occurred on Nov. 1 as controversy swirled around the team. His next appearance is likely Sunday night when the Nets return home from a four-game road trip to face the Memphis Grizzlies, who will be without star Ja Morant. Irving is expected to return after sitting out Brooklyn's past eight games. His last game was a four-point performance when the Nets folded in the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bulls in Jacque Vaughn's head coaching debut after taking over from Steve Nash. "It's exciting for everybody. I mean we miss Ky. We miss his presence on the floor," Brooklyn star Kevin Durant said. "I haven't talked to him since we've been on the road trip about it, the last couple of days. But we're looking forward to his return to the team. Definitely going to give us a much-needed spark." Irving was the focal point of controversy for posting a link to an anti-Semitic film on Oct. 27 and was handed at least a five-game suspension when he did not apologize following a contentious media session at practice on Nov. 3. When the Nets suspended him, they stipulated Irving must complete several steps, including meeting with commissioner Adam Silver. They met last week, and Silver said he did not think Irving held anti-Semitic beliefs. |

11-20-22 | Pistons +10 v. Kings | 129-137 | Win | 100 | 8 h 31 m | Show
Teams hoping to become lucky losers in the 2022 NBA Draft lottery get an opportunity to show off their consolation prizes to one another when the Detroit Pistons visit the Sacramento Kings on Sunday afternoon. The Pistons and Kings both finished with bottom-seven records last season, giving each at least some optimism that luck could land them the No. 1 pick in the draft. It didn't pan out. The Kings moved up from No. 7 to No. 4, which was significantly better than the fate that befell the Pistons, who fell from co-favorite to the fifth spot. After Paolo Banchero (Orlando), Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City) and Jabari Smith Jr. (Houston) were selected, the Kings had their choice of Iowa forward Keegan Murray or Purdue guard Jaden Ivey. Sacramento chose Murray, allowing the Pistons to snatch Ivey. So far: Advantage, Pistons. While the Kings have gotten off to a much faster start in the win column, Ivey has thus far exceeded Murray in stats. |

11-20-22 | Toronto +5.5 v. Winnipeg | 24-23 | Win | 100 | 8 h 42 m | Show
Winnipeg is aiming to make history tonight. The Blue Bombers have a chance to become the first club in 42 years to three-peat in the CFL. They won it all in 2021 and 2019 and there was no game in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking to play spoiler are the Argos, who are hoping to earn their first Grey Cup since 2017. Historically, Grey Cups have gone in Toronto's favor. The organization owns the most Grey Cups (17) and has a 17-6 record in championship games. |
|||||||
11-20-22 | Cowboys -1 v. Vikings | 40-3 | Win | 100 | 24 h 22 m | Show
The last six regular-season games between the Cowboys and Vikings have all been decided by four points or fewer, the longest streak between any two NFL teams since the Ravens and Steelers had a six-game streak from 2008-10. The last teams to do so in seven straight meetings were Carolina and Washington from 1998-2009 (7).

11-20-22 | Bears +3 v. Falcons | Top | 24-27 | Push | 0 | 22 h 5 m | Show |
Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears are learning how to score in the quarterback's second season. Learning to win has been the more difficult lesson. Fields will be in the spotlight for his Georgia homecoming as the Bears and Atlanta Falcons match strong running games - and deflating losing streaks - on Sunday. Fields, a native of the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw, began his college career at Georgia before transferring to Ohio State. Fields' family had Falcons season tickets. He said his favorite Atlanta players were quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones. Fields didn't know how many of his friends and family members will attend the game. "I know my regular people are going - my mom, my dad," Fields said. "But of course, it's exciting, for sure. My goal really is just to go 1-0 this week and win the game down there." Fields, a 2021 first-round pick, has solidified his status as the Bears' franchise quarterback by leading the NFL's top rushing offense. He returns to Atlanta after rushing for a combined 325 yards the last two weeks, the highest two-game total by an NFL quarterback, surpassing the 268 two-game total by Baltimore's Lamar Jackson in 2019. Fields ran for 178 yards against Miami two weeks ago and added 147 in last week's 31-30 loss to Detroit. He will be the top priority for Atlanta's defense. |

11-20-22 | Lions +3 v. Giants | 31-18 | Win | 100 | 22 h 42 m | Show
The Detroit Lions and New York Giants have been hanging out in the same neighborhood of the NFL for the past seven years, at least in terms of the standings. Neither team has made the playoffs since 2016. The Giants were 4-13 last season, while the Lions were 3-13-1. When the teams meet on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, fans are going to notice a difference. The Giants are 7-2 under first-year coach Brian Daboll and closing in on the playoffs. The Lions are a deceptive 3-6 under second-year coach Dan Campbell. Both teams are making progress. The Giants have done more, but the Lions are not that far off. They have won two in a row, and four of their losses have been by four points or less. "They are at a point right now where they haven't been able to win the close games and we've been able to," Giants safety Julian Love said. "We know that this team is a good team and we can't take them for granted on what their record is because they are a tougher team than what their record shows." The Giants simply find ways to win. Five of their seven victories have been by six points or fewer and the other two were by eight-point margins. Campbell is confident the Lions are on the right track. |

11-20-22 | Jets +3.5 v. Patriots | 3-10 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 53 m | Show
Jets center Connor McGovern has played only three seasons in New York. But he's spent his entire career in the AFC, more than long enough to know what it has taken for teams to succeed in the conference over the past two-plus decades. "I think everybody in the AFC sees the Patriots as a team they have to go through, whether they have Tom Brady back there or Mac Jones or whoever is on their roster," McGovern said. "No matter who's on their roster, they're a tough team to beat." New York found that out last month when it had its four-game win streak snapped in a 22-17 loss at home by what at the time was a sub-.500 Patriots team. Three weeks later, the Jets (6-3) are still one of the NFL's hottest teams as they prepare for their second shot against the Patriots (5-4), who are above .500 for the first time this season. And for the first time in a long time, the outcome of Sunday's rematch carries serious playoff implications for both sides. New York is a half-game behind idle first-place Miami in the AFC East and would move into first with a victory over the Patriots. The Jets haven't been in that position 10 or more games into a season since 2010, when New England and New York were tied at 9-2. |

11-20-22 | James Madison v. North Carolina -11.5 | 64-80 | Win | 100 | 1 h 13 m | Show
Before sirens of concern go off regarding North Carolina's underwhelming beginning to the season, the top-ranked Tar Heels are looking at some of the benefits of what they've been through. "I think it's good. We got a chance to see what we have to work on," forward Armando Bacot said. "We're kind of getting exposed on the things we need to work on." North Carolina (3-0) caps a season-opening four-game homestand Sunday afternoon when James Madison (4-0) visits Chapel Hill, N.C. Even with glitches, North Carolina has survived in each game. Each time, there have been struggles, with some of those glaring in a 72-66 victory against Gardner-Webb on Tuesday night. "We've got a long way to go," guard Caleb Love said. "It's about to get real here soon. We've got to fix it." Love said the Tar Heels haven't gotten into a good flow on a regular basis. They will today |

11-19-22 | Jazz v. Blazers -3.5 | Top | 118-113 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 47 m | Show |
The Blazers have their own All-Star who can light up the scoreboard on any night. Damian Lillard had 25 points and 11 assists in Portland's most recent outing, a tough 109-107 loss to the visiting Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. It was Lillard's third double-double in a row. "I thought tonight we just didn't do enough," Lillard said after the Blazers lost to the Nets on a last-second tip-in by Royce O'Neale. "They played harder than us in situations and they made the plays that we didn't. Portland turns it around tonight |

11-19-22 | Raptors v. Hawks -5 | Top | 122-124 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors hope to get an encore performance from O.G. Anunoby when they travel to play the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. The Raptors have dominated the series over the last two seasons. Toronto won three of the four meetings a year ago and scored a 139-109 win over Atlanta on Oct. 31 in their first encounter of the season when the Hawks committed a season-worst 18 turnovers. Anunoby scored a career-high 32 points and matched his season high with 10 rebounds in Toronto's 112-104 win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday. The Raptors have won two straight. Atlanta followed its emotional win over Milwaukee with a poor performance in a 126-101 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Atlanta has won five of its last eight, the losses coming against Philadelphia, Utah and Boston. Anunoby was 13 for 18 from the field against Miami and is averaging 18.3 points and 6.4 rebounds. "He wanted the ball, he controlled it, he made moves, he made pass-outs, all the stuff you have to do when you're the go-to-guy," Toronto coach Nick Nurse said. The Raptors should also have a healthy Fred VanVleet on Saturday. He returned on Wednesday after missing two games with the flu and scored 23, even though he wasn't at full strength. |

11-19-22 | UL-Monroe +15 v. Troy | Top | 16-34 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 24 m | Show |
Louisiana-Monroe is coming off back-to-back wins after losing four straight games earlier in the season. Monroe defeated Texas State by 1-point and in their latest game, they went on the road to defeat Georgia State 31-28. The Warhawks defeated the Panthers in unconventional ways of scoring. Their first touchdown came in the second quarter off of a 23-yard blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown. Late in the fourth quarter, the Warhawks were trailing by five points, and they took a 34-yard interception to the house for a pick-six. The touchdown gave Monroe a 31-28 lead with 6-minutes to go in the game. Georgia State would be stopped on fourth down in their next two possessions to close out the game and give Monroe the victory. “Two good wins in a row and we won our first game on the road. We’ll enjoy this game tonight and then we’ll get on to Troy tomorrow," head coach Terry Bowden said following the win. |

11-19-22 | Indiana +11.5 v. Michigan State | Top | 39-31 | Win | 100 | 1 h 60 m | Show |
Indiana (3-7, 1-6) will look to snap a seven-game losing streak. The Hoosiers had the misfortune of facing Penn State and Ohio State on back-to-back weekends and got pummeled each time. It's uncertain whether Indiana will go with Connor Bazelak, who has started most of the season, or Dexter Williams II at quarterback this week. The Spartans have won 11 of the last 13 meetings with the Hoosiers. The winner will get the traditional trophy, the Old Brass Spittoon. "Not every program has the opportunity to play trophy games and rivalry games," Indiana coach Tom Allen said. "It's a great opportunity for us to play for the Brass Spittoon, a trophy we've had twice since I've been here and they currently have it right now. Much, much to play for." |

11-19-22 | Illinois +17.5 v. Michigan | Top | 17-19 | Win | 100 | 1 h 57 m | Show |
That matchup will feature two of the best backs in the country, as Chase Brown, the nation's leading rusher, spearheads the Fighting Illini (7-3, 4-3) offense in a showdown with Corum and Michigan. Brown rushed for 100-plus yards in 10 straight games, but was held to 98 last week in Illinois' 31-24 loss to Purdue. It was the first time the Illini lost back-to-back games this season. Brown went down on the sideline in the fourth quarter with a right leg injury and had to exit the game. Illinois coach Bret Bielema said Brown is working toward playing this week. "Very positive and excited, but don't know where we'll be by Friday for the trip and Saturday for the game," Bielema said. Bielema said that linebacker Seth Coleman has been cleared to practice. He entered the concussion protocol and was forced to miss the meeting with the Boilermakers. Coleman has 16 tackles and 3.5 sacks this season. |

11-18-22 | Knicks v. Warriors -7.5 | 101-111 | Win | 100 | 1 h 37 m | Show
The New York Knicks shoot for a hat trick when they go for a third road victory in four days as they visit one of the league's top home teams, the Golden State Warriors, on Friday night at San Francisco. The Knicks took advantage of the absence of reigning MVP Nikola Jokic for a 106-103 road victory over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. The win completed a two-night sweep that began with a 118-111 triumph over the host Utah Jazz on Tuesday. A fourth-quarter comeback that produced the club's first win in Denver since 2006 was accomplished with the unusual combination of a Julius Randle-Obi Toppin frontcourt to complement a three-guard look. It worked against the Jokic-less Nuggets. Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau, still expected to be missing starting big man Mitchell Robinson, indicated he could go back to the look again against the Warriors, who demoted James Wiseman to the G League this week and left the team with Kevon Looney and an assortment of small-ball options. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | Merrimack +10.5 v. Montana | 51-62 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 28 m | Show
The Warriors have only been able to knock down 38.70% percent of their shots, which is the 15th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. Montana has experienced some struggles of its own as they have allowed its opponents to shoot 54.70% from the floor on average, which is the 362nd-highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | Boise State v. Loyola-Chicago -1 | 70-48 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 38 m | Show
Loyola-Chicago was tied 30-30 with Tulsa at the half in the first round of the Myrtle Beach Invitational, but the Golden Hurricane outlasted the Ramblers, pouring in 55 second-half points. It was a tale of two halves for Loyola, as it was outscored by 19 points. The Ramblers' turnover woes continued, as they turned the ball over 22 times to Tulsa. In their first two games, they committed 53 combined turnovers. LUC shot 45.3 percent from the floor but just 27.3 percent from deep, another area of concern through its first three games. Look for the Ramblers to rebound as the number indicates they will. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | IUPU Ft Wayne v. Northwestern -11 | 52-60 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 29 m | Show
The Mastodons have failed to cover five straight games and although the Wildcats are not the greatest cover team, this number indicates that this may be a trap. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | South Carolina +2 v. Davidson | 60-69 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 48 m | Show
The Davidson Wildcats struggled as they lost 89-66 against the Charleston Cougars after a massive 44-30 lead at halftime. Davidson shot the ball well as they are 22-of-51 (43.1 percent) overall, 4-of-11 (36.4 percent) from three, and 26 free-throw attempts. They also assisted on 10 of their 22 made field goals. Junior forward Sam Mennenga finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 30 minutes in the game. Defensively, they struggled to get stops as they allowed 45.8 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from three. They were outrebounded 42-32 throughout the game and were able to record seven steals to improve on some of the basic numbers. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | Campbell +4 v. Appalachian State | 63-58 | Win | 100 | 4 h 17 m | Show
The Mountaineers have been impressive to start the season but there is still one aspect of their game that needs to be addressed and that's whether can we rely on them at home. This number is a little suspect. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | Bucknell v. Georgia -12 | 61-65 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 11 m | Show
The Bulldogs survived a second half surge from Miami (OH) on Monday night to improve to 2-1 on the season. A strong rebounding performance from Forward KyeRon Lindsay (which included his first career double-double) aided Georgia to a 7 point victory. Georgia will be looking to win back-to-back games for the first time this season under 1st year head coach Mike White. Bucknell is also 2-1 and coming off a tough 82-71 loss to the St. Peters Peacocks on Tuesday night. The Bison played a fairly mistake free game. However, St. Peter's near 48% shooting from behind the arc and 22 point performance from Sophomore guard Jaylen Murray proved too much to handle. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | Bellarmine v. Clemson -11.5 | 66-76 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 2 m | Show
The Tigers currently have a record of 2-1 and an unfavorable 0-3 against the spread. One defeat came by a two-point margin against South Carolina. The Tigers scored 81 points in their most recent game against USC Upstate, which helped the Tigers win by 11 points. The Tigers average 73 points per game while allowing 66.3 points per game on defense. Chase Hunter scored a total of 20 points, pulled down three rebounds, and made three assists. The defense in this game will have to play exceptionally well on defense. The Knights have been terrific against the number but tonight is when Clemson flexes their muscles. |
|||||||
11-18-22 | Columbia +4.5 v. Maine | 70-93 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 53 m | Show
Lions are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 rod games. Maine is 1-6 ATS against teams playing below .400 ball. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | California Baptist v. Washington -8 | 73-64 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 32 m | Show
The Washington Huskies look to close out a perfect four-game homestand when they welcome California Baptist to Seattle for a Thursday matchup. Washington (3-0) has not had it easy on its way to an undefeated start. The Huskies needed second-half rallies in a 75-67 defeat of North Florida on Friday and a 78-67 victory over Utah Tech on Monday. Washington trailed North Florida by six points at halftime before scoring 47 second-half points. The Huskies scored 44 points after intermission against Utah Tech, including a 23-9 run over the game's final 9:25. Huskies finish off the homestand with an impressive 10-point win. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Tennessee State v. Southern Illinois -14.5 | 44-57 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 17 m | Show
After a three-game homestand, the Tennessee State Tigers will be on the road. They will take on the Southern Illinois Salukis at 8 p.m. ET Thursday at Banterra Center. The Tigers will be strutting in after a victory while SIU will be stumbling in from a defeat. Tennessee State didn't have too much trouble with the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at home on Monday as they won 87-76. Meanwhile, SIU received a tough blow on Sunday as they fell 71-53 to the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles. If the result catches you off guard, it should: SIU was far and away the favorite. Expect a bounce-back effort tonight. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Northern Illinois v. Georgia Tech -12.5 | 50-68 | Win | 100 | 8 h 11 m | Show
Tracking toward 3-0 start, Georgia Tech greets Northern IllinoisFLMNov 16, 2022
Georgia Tech chases its first 3-0 start under coach Josh Pastner when the Yellow Jackets host Northern Illinois on Thursday in Atlanta. Georgia Tech survived a scare on Saturday and beat in-town rival Georgia State 59-57 on a basket with 4.1 seconds left to reach 2-0. Northern Illinois (1-2) picked up its first win of the season on Monday. The Huskies blasted Purdue-Northwest 99-73. After graduating its two top scorers from last year's team - Michael Devoe and Jordan Usher -- Georgia Tech is still charting its course. The Yellow Jackets have eight returning letter winners and a pair of transfers who have contributed to the first two games. No returning player averaged double digits. Look for the Jackets to flex their muscles tonight. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Texas State v. Texas-San Antonio +5.5 | 56-61 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
The Roadrunners are 40-19 ATS at home in their last 59 games, and now we're getting points. Pretty much all that needs to be said. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Arkansas-Little Rock +11.5 v. East Tennessee State | 76-84 | Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show
There's not a lot to like about Little Rock but the Buccaneers have had a tendency to not play well after an ATS cover. We'll take the double-digit points. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Bryant v. Florida Atlantic -7 | Top | 74-85 | Win | 100 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
The Florida Atlantic Owls will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will take on the Bryant Bulldogs at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday at FAU Arena. On Monday, Florida Atlantic narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Florida Gators 76-74. The Owls' guard Johnell Davis filled up the stat sheet, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Bryant didn't have too much trouble with the Dartmouth Big Green on the road this past Friday as they won 89-70. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Austin Peay +8 v. South Florida | 62-60 | Win | 100 | 4 h 13 m | Show
South Florida is 10th worst in college basketball in points per game, with only 62.3 on average. The Governors have experienced some struggles of their own as they have only been able to knock down 39.20% percent of their shots, which is the 21st lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. With both team's offense in flux, I'll take the generous points. |
|||||||
11-17-22 | Colorado State v. South Carolina +1.5 | 85-53 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 23 m | Show
The South Carolina Gamecocks head east Thursday to face Colorado State in a neutral-site game at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C. South Carolina (2-0) is off to a solid start under first-year coach Lamont Paris heading into the Charleston Classic, owning tight wins over South Carolina State and rival Clemson. Across those two victories, GG Jackson II averaged 15 points and nine boards and was named SEC Freshman of the Week. But the real hero in the Gamecocks' win over Clemson was Chico Carter, who connected on the game-winning shot with 0.8 seconds left. It made Paris the first South Carolina coach to beat Clemson in his first attempt since Dave Odom in 2001. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Warriors -1.5 v. Suns | 119-130 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 1 m | Show
The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors are 0-7 on the road this season. One of those losses came on Oct. 25 in Phoenix, and Golden State returns to town on Wednesday night to try to even the slate against the host Suns. Phoenix blew out the Warriors 134-105 that night in a testy game, as Golden State star Klay Thompson earned the first ejection of his career. The intensity level should be high again with the Warriors owning a lackluster 6-8 mark after Monday night's 132-95 rout of the visiting San Antonio Spurs. Thompson was rested against the Spurs, so Jordan Poole moved into the starting lineup and scored a season-high 36 points on 13-of-20 shooting. Poole made five 3-pointers and had three steals. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Rockets v. Mavs -6 | 101-92 | Loss | -117 | 5 h 6 m | Show
In many ways, it was more of the same for Dallas on Tuesday, with the Mavericks posting a white-knuckle, 103-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers for their sixth consecutive home victory. In their five most recent triumphs, the Mavericks -- who will host the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night looking to extend their home winning streak -- have won each game by five points or less. Dallas blew a 25-point lead against the Clippers, only to hold on late thanks to a flurry of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. Dallas shot 7 of 11 from 3-point range in the final period, with Reggie Bullock scoring all of his 13 points in the quarter on 4-of-5 shooting from deep. The Mavericks also received 21 points from Dorian Finney-Smith, who made seven 3-pointers, and 16 points from Spencer Dinwiddie to complement another sensational performance from Luka Doncic, who had 35 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | VCU v. Arizona State +5 | Top | 59-63 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
ASU head coach Bobby Hurley enters his eighth season as coach of the Sun Devils with a 118-100 record thus far. Last season, ASU finished 14-17 overall and 10-10 in a very tough Pac-12 conference. This season, Hurley returns two starters from that team with the most important being oft-injured big man Marcus Bagley. After arriving at ASU as a five-star recruit, Bagley played hurt all of that first season and turned down an opportunity to enter the NBA Draft. He returned last year and played only three games due to a knee injury. He now returns, with optimism running high that he looks better than ever. If Bagley is right, he could bring ASU to the NCAA Tournament. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Pacers v. Hornets -2.5 | Top | 125-113 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 33 m | Show |
Finally emerging from a long losing streak, the Charlotte Hornets will host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night hoping to get rolling in the right direction. "We've easily had stretches where we've had very good, sometimes exceptional play, and then we have times (when) we don't execute," Charlotte coach Steve Clifford said. "We're not that kind of team. We can be very good, but we can't give possessions away. We don't have that much room for error." The Hornets returned from three games in Florida with their first victory in November to snap an eight-game losing streak, their longest skid since 2019 and one shy of a wrong-way stretch of November 2014. That's among the positive aspects they'll take into the game with Indiana. It will be the home debut for point guard LaMelo Ball, something that's bound to bring a buzz to the arena. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Delaware State v. Columbia -8 | Top | 65-70 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 26 m | Show |
The Hornets came up short against the Villanova Wildcats on Monday, falling 60-50. Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Columbia as they fell 88-85 to the Sacred Heart Pioneers on Sunday. The losses put Delaware State at 1-2 and Columbia at 0-3. A couple of stats to keep an eye on: Delaware State has allowed their opponents to shoot 47.70% from the floor on average, which is the 31st-highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. The Lions have experienced some struggles of their own as they have only been able to knock down 36% percent of their shots, which is the 352nd lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Florida Gulf Coast v. Tennessee -21 | 50-81 | Win | 100 | 4 h 22 m | Show
The #22 Tennessee Volunteers will look to defend their home court Wednesday against the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles at 7 p.m. ET. The contest between the Volunteers and the Colorado Buffaloes on Sunday was not a total blowout, but with Tennessee falling 78-66, it was darn close to turning into one. This was hardly the result Tennessee or its fans were betting on, as they were favored by 15.5 points over Colorado heading into this matchup. Tennessee's loss came about despite a quality game from guard Josiah-Jordan James, who had 15 points in addition to eight rebounds. Meanwhile, Florida Gulf Coast took their game at home on Sunday with ease, bagging a 105-61 victory over the Ave Maria Gyrenes. The Volunteers crush FGC |
|||||||
11-16-22 | William & Mary v. American -2.5 | 64-71 | Win | 100 | 4 h 15 m | Show
On Sunday, American lost to the George Mason Patriots on the road by a decisive 73-56 margin. Johnny O'Neil wasn't much of a difference maker for the Eagles; O'Neil finished with only four points on 2-for-12 shooting in his 30 minutes on the court. Meanwhile, William & Mary received a tough blow on Sunday as they fell 94-77 to the Virginia Tech Hokies. The losing side was boosted by Anders Nelson, who had 25 points and six assists. |
|||||||
11-16-22 | Miami-OH +1.5 v. Northern Illinois | Top | 29-23 | Win | 100 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
Desperation can be a positive. Miami University is out of the MAC title hunt, but it’s still alive for a bowl game if it can win this and take out Ball State next week. To do that, it has to stop the Northern Illinois running game. The Huskies' offensive line has the ability to take over at times for a ground attack that averages close to 200 yards per game. Miami University wins when it holds up against the run, it has to get the passing game going, and it takes games over when it’s able to get its own rushing attack rolling, too. The RedHawks are 3-1 when they run for 200 yards |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Alabama v. South Alabama +11.5 | 65-55 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show
Alabama has just seven covers in their last 27 games, so we're not excited about laying double digits on the road against a team that will treat this as a tournament game. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Nets v. Kings -1 | 121-153 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show
Two teams that have removed their disguises since Halloween and reverted back to playoff-contending basketball squads hook up Tuesday when the Brooklyn Nets complete a three-game California by visiting the Sacramento Kings. The Nets were 1-5 and Kings 1-4 before Halloween victories sent them upward in the standings, with Brooklyn winning five of eight and Sacramento five of seven. The Nets saw a two-game winning streak slip away in a 116-103 road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday in a game in which the visitors couldn't get a handle on versatile big man Anthony Davis, who dominated with 37 points and 18 rebounds. The Kings have a similar talent in Domantas Sabonis, who not only posted a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in a head-to-head with Davis on Friday, he followed that with 26 points and 22 rebounds in a 122-115 home win over the Golden State Warriors on Monday. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Montana State +11.5 v. Oregon | Top | 51-81 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 7 m | Show |
The Bobcats have covered 5 of their last 6 games dating back to last season, while Oregon has failed to cover 11 of their last 16 games. Double digits are too much here. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Fairfield v. Xavier -18.5 | 65-78 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 2 m | Show
The Xavier Musketeers' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Fairfield Stags at 9 p.m. ET Nov. 15 at Cintas Center. Xavier should still be feeling good after a big win, while Fairfield will be looking to get back in the win column. Everything went the Musketeers' way against the Montana Grizzlies this past Friday as they made off with an 86-64 victory. Forward Zach Freemantle was the offensive standout of the matchup for Xavier, picking up 18 points. Meanwhile, the game between Fairfield and the New Hamp. Wildcats this past Friday was not a total blowout, but with Fairfield falling 83-71 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Florida International v. NC State -14.5 | 74-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
The Wolfpack have played well so far this season, winning their first two games. They will try to keep the momentum going with a win over the Panthers, which will give them their third straight win. NC State is averaging 86 points per game. They scored 73 points in their last game, making 50 percent of their field goals and 25 percent of their three-pointers. Terquavion Smith led the Wolfpack with 19 points, six assists, and three steals. Jarkel Joiner finished with 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while Jack Clark added 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and four steals. NC State has done a great job defensively, giving up 58.5 points per game. They gave up 67 points in their last game. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Eastern Michigan +6.5 v. Bradley | Top | 61-89 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
Here comes Emoni Bates. Before the Eastern Michigan basketball star walks across the stage at the NBA Draft next summer, he will hold center stage at Carver Arena on Monday night. And the Bradley Braves will have to steal the spotlight. Both Bates and the Braves are in recovery mode, Bradley trying to bounce back from a 22-point loss at Utah State on Saturday, Bates from a roller-coaster path he's been on since age 15 as perhaps the top prospect in the nation. I think the number is too high, but Bates will be fun to watch this season. |

11-15-22 | Gardner-Webb v. North Carolina -21.5 | 66-72 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 57 m | Show
No. 1 North Carolina looks to improve vs. Gardner-WebbFLMNov 14, 2022
Challenges have come early for No. 1 North Carolina. Those have developed from opponents and from coach Hubert Davis. The idea for the Tar Heels is to not accept anything that isn't up to their expected standards. They'll play their third straight home game to open the season when Gardner-Webb visits Tuesday night in Chapel Hill, N.C. So far, the Tar Heels (2-0) were engaged in a tight game late in the first half against UNC Wilmington and trailed at halftime against College of Charleston. There was no time for Davis to sit by idly as he called his team "soft" during parts of the first two games. "I challenged all of them," Davis said. The Tar Heels, in general, have been disturbed by a few trends. Letting opponents hang around isn't ideal. That'll change tonight. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | SIU-Edwardsville +18.5 v. Missouri | 80-105 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 43 m | Show
The Cougars were terrific against the number last year after a SU loss, so we'll go back to well once again with this big number. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Pacific -6 v. North Dakota | 93-63 | Win | 100 | 5 h 21 m | Show
Pacific didn't have too much breathing room in their contest with the North Dakota State Bison on Sunday, but they still walked away with a 91-86 win. Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 96-61, which was the final score in North Dakota's tilt against the Creighton Bluejays last week. Tsotne Tsartsidze (16 points) was the top scorer for the Fighting Hawks. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | NC-Wilmington +12.5 v. Oklahoma | 53-74 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 17 m | Show
When Oklahoma hosts UNC-Wilmington on Tuesday in Norman, Okla., the Sooners should know full well not to take the Seahawks lightly. The Sooners' season started with a loss to Sam Houston and a narrow win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. During his team's season-opening four-game stretch against mid-majors, Oklahoma coach Porter Moser was asked about how much more difficult it has become to play such programs. "This transfer portal, I think it changes a lot of things in college basketball," Moser said. "All of a sudden teams get some additions." The Seahawks certainly fit the mold of building through the transfer portal, with five offseason additions that are averaging a combined 23 points and 15 rebounds per game during the first two games of the season. The biggest addition, so far, has been Donovan Newby, a transfer from Wisconsin-Milwaukee who has averaged 6.5 points and 2.5 rebounds for Wilmington. Another one of those transfers, Maleeck Harden-Hayes, said the additions have helped mold the Seahawks into a strong defensive and rebounding team. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Chattanooga +11 v. Ole Miss | 58-70 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 30 m | Show
The Ole Miss Rebels have won two games in a row and are hoping to make it three as they host the Chattanooga Mocs in their third home game of the season Tuesday at the SJB Pavilion. The Rebels took down the Florida Atlantic Owls 80-67 last week, but there are still several adjustments they need to make ahead of their next game. Ole Miss turned the ball over ten times, leading to an extra 14 points for the Owls. They allowed the Owls to grab 14 offensive rebounds and shoot 38 percent from behind the arc. The Rebels also shot poorly from the free throw line at only 67 percent as a team. |

11-15-22 | James Madison -10.5 v. Howard | 95-69 | Win | 100 | 7 h 8 m | Show
James Madison is now a perfect 3-0 while Howard sits at 2-2. Two stats to keep an eye on: James Madison enters the contest with a 58.40% field goal percentage, good for fifth best in college basketball. Less enviably, Howard has allowed their opponents to shoot 48.60% from the floor on average, which is the 22nd highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. So the cards are definitely stacked against Howard. |

11-15-22 | Utah Valley v. Wake Forest -11.5 | Top | 65-68 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
This past Saturday, the Wolverines narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks 73-69. The overall outcome was to be expected, but Northern Arizona made it more of a matchup than the oddsmakers had predicted. Meanwhile, Wake Forest bagged an 81-71 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs this past Friday. The Demon Deacons' success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Tyree Appleby, who had 22 points and six assists along with six rebounds, and guard Daivien Williamson, who had 24 points. |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Colgate +7.5 v. Syracuse | 80-68 | Win | 100 | 6 h 30 m | Show
Colgate defeated Syracuse for the first time since 1962 last season, defeating the Orange 100-85. SU took a 17-point lead seven minutes into the game as the Raiders started 0-for-12 from beyond the arc. But Colgate found its stride from deep, scoring 33 points from 3 in around 17 minutes. “They started out the game missing, and I think we thought that it was our defense — it wasn’t our defense,” Boeheim said. “They were missing open shots. As the game progressed, they’re going to make those shots, and we have got to be able to defend better.” |
|||||||
11-15-22 | Morgan State v. Akron -13 | 59-65 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 11 m | Show
The Morgan State Bears will face off against the Akron Zips on the road at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday at James A. Rhodes Arena. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. The game between the Bears and the VCU Rams this past Saturday was not a total blowout, but with Morgan State falling 69-54 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. One thing holding Morgan State back was the mediocre play of guard Isaiah Burke, who did not have his best game: he played for 37 minutes with 4-for-16 shooting and four turnovers. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Spurs v. Warriors -7 | 95-132 | Win | 100 | 6 h 37 m | Show
The Golden State Warriors are still trying to find the magic that earned them the NBA title last season and will be looking to get back on the winning track when they host the scratch-and-claw San Antonio Spurs on Monday in San Francisco. Monday's contest is the second of a road-home back-to-back and the third game in four nights for the Warriors, who head home after a 122-115 loss at Sacramento on Sunday. Stephen Curry led Golden State with 27 points in the setback, with Andrew Wiggins adding 26, Jordan Poole hitting for 18 points, Klay Thompson scoring 17 and Draymond Green dishing out 11 assists. Golden State has lost six of its past eight games to fall into 13th place in the Western Conference 13 games into the season. The Warriors led by 15 points in the first quarter but were down 64-62 at halftime. The game went back and forth in the third quarter, with Golden State up by as many as six before the Kings rallied to go up by seven points on the way to a 98-91 advantage heading to the final period. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Holy Cross v. Creighton -29.5 | 65-94 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 57 m | Show
This might be the best Creighton roster that Greg McDermott has ever had at Creighton. They got past St. Thomas-Minnesota 72-60 in their opener and then worked out the kinks in a 96-61 blowout win over North Dakota in their second game. Ryan Kalkbrenner, Arthur Kaluma, Baylor Scheierman, Ryan Nembhard, and Trey Alexander will all have positional advantages in the starting five. There's really not much more to say... on paper, this should be a complete blowout. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Alabama A&M v. Tennessee State -8.5 | 76-87 | Win | 100 | 6 h 44 m | Show
The Tigers are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and the Tigers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | IUPU-Indianapolis v. Chicago State -6.5 | 58-68 | Win | 100 | 5 h 26 m | Show
There's no need to mince words: the Jaguars lost to the Drake Bulldogs on Wednesday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 80-48. Meanwhile, the Chicago State Cougars suffered a grim 83-61 defeat to the St. Thomas (MN) Tommies on Friday. The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 0-2. A pair of last-season offensive stats to keep an eye on: IUPUI is stumbling into the matchup with the 363rd fewest points per game in college basketball, having accrued only 52.4 on average. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | CS Sacramento +1.5 v. Denver | 73-69 | Win | 100 | 5 h 19 m | Show
Sacramento State's shooting will be hot and get them the out right win against a Pioneer team that isn't great defensively. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Louisiana Tech v. Texas Tech -12.5 | Top | 55-64 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
No. 25 Texas Tech will look to continue its impressive home winning streak on Monday when Louisiana Tech comes to Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders (2-0) have won 23 consecutive games at home, most recently a 78-54 victory over Texas Southern on Thursday. Kevin Obanor, Texas Tech's lone returning starter and one of three players back from last year's Sweet 16 team, led the Red Raiders with 13 points and seven rebounds. Obanor now has 90 career games in double-figure scoring and hit 900 career rebounds in Thursday's win. Jaylon Tyson added a career-high 13 points in the victory while De'Vion Harmon had 12 points in a contest the Red Raiders trailed for only 42 seconds |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Belmont -2.5 v. Lipscomb | 75-77 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 49 m | Show
The road teams in this series have won 5 of the last 7 meetings ATS, while Belmont is 6-1 ATS after a SU loss. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Wofford v. Drake -11.5 | 72-80 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 40 m | Show
Drake simply couldn't be stopped last week, as they easily beat the IUPUI Jaguars at home 80-48. Meanwhile, the matchup between Wofford and the High Point Panthers this past Saturday was not a total blowout, but with Wofford falling 91-80 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Drake is the favorite in this one, with an expected 10.5-point margin of victory. Those taking them against the spread are banking on an outcome similar to that of the team's contest last Wednesday, where they covered a 27-point spread. The Bulldogs' win brought them up to 1-0 while the Terriers' loss pulled them down to 1-1. A couple last-season stats to keep an eye on: Drake ranks 10th in college basketball when it comes to points allowed per game, with only 66.4 on average. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Northern Colorado v. Baylor -27.5 | 62-95 | Win | 100 | 5 h 55 m | Show
Keyonte George is billed as the top recruit in Baylor history, and he is wasting no time making an impact. The 6-foot-4 guard looks to deliver his second straight strong performance when the No. 5 Bears face Northern Colorado on Monday at Waco, Texas. The fifth McDonald's All-American in program history did it all with 23 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in Friday night's 87-70 victory over Norfolk State. George also drained six 3-pointers for Baylor (2-0). |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Oral Roberts v. Houston -19.5 | 45-83 | Win | 100 | 5 h 40 m | Show
No. 3 Houston will look to continue its dominating play on both ends of the court when it hosts Oral Roberts on Monday. The Cougars (2-0) are coming off an 81-55 win over St. Joseph's on Friday in the Veterans Classic at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., after opening the season with an 83-36 victory over Northern Colorado last Monday. Oral Roberts (1-1) knocked off visiting John Brown University, an NAIA school, 95-62 on Friday, rebounding from its season-opening 78-70 loss at Saint Mary's. For Houston, five-star freshman forward Jarace Walker had 23 points and eight rebounds, and J'Wan Roberts added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Tramon Mark contributed 12 points and six boards while preseason All-America pick Marcus Sasser had seven points on 2-of-9 shooting. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Hornets -1 v. Magic | 112-105 | Win | 100 | 3 h 23 m | Show
LaMelo Ball alone isn't going to fix the problems facing the Charlotte Hornets, but he figures to be a big part of the solution. The Hornets already appear in a desperate situation, so his season debut during the weekend was a much-needed boost for the club. "You can just see what a terrific player he is," Charlotte coach Steve Clifford said. "He's in the paint. He puts a ton of pressure on the defense. He has a great feel for where his teammates are. It's been whatever -- five, six weeks since he's played. It was great to have him back. It makes a huge difference in our team." Ball's appearance won't be the only notable storyline when Charlotte visits the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Clifford is a former Magic coach who returned this season to begin his second stint with the Hornets. The Magic are coming off back-to-back wins for the first time this season. The Magic have sputtered this season, but by winning their past two games against Dallas and Phoenix, they've pushed their win total to four -- one more than Charlotte. Meanwhile, the Hornets will try to snap an eight-game losing streak, their longest since January 2020. They've lost the first two games of a three-game road trip, dropping games Thursday night and Saturday night in Miami. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Navy v. Coppin State +3.5 | 68-75 | Win | 100 | 8 h 1 m | Show
The Coppin State Eagles' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Navy Midshipmen at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 14 at Physical Education Complex. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Coppin State beat the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers 83-78 this past Friday. Meanwhile, Navy escaped with a win this past Friday against the Princeton Tigers by the margin of a single free throw, 74-73. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | North Carolina Central +12 v. Liberty | 63-79 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 44 m | Show
The North Carolina Central Eagles are on the road again Monday and play against the Liberty Flames at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 14 at Liberty Arena. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.' The Eagles were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Thursday as they fell 79-74 to the App. State Mountaineers. Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 95-59, which was the final score in Liberty's tilt against the Alabama Crimson Tide this past Friday. North Carolina Central have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 13.5-point spread they are up against. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 2-0 against the spread when expected to lose. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Lafayette v. St. Joe's -9.5 | 59-63 | Loss | -118 | 8 h 32 m | Show
The Hawks are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a losing straight-up record. Leopards are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a losing straight-up record. |
|||||||
11-14-22 | Florida Atlantic v. Florida -12.5 | 76-74 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 34 m | Show
Florida has played with good tempo and execution on offense in its first two games under head coach Todd Golden. But the Gators will look to shore up some issues with defense and rebounding when they host Florida Atlantic on Monday night in Gainesville, Fla. The Gators (2-0) have averaged 84.5 points in their first two games and are shooting 50.9 percent from the field on the season. Colin Castleton, coming off a career-high 33 points in Florida's 88-78 win over Kennesaw State on Friday night, is averaging 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks. Castleton's 33 points against Kennesaw State were the most for a Gator since Jalen Hudson scored 33 points against LSU on March 6, 2019. |
|||||||
11-13-22 | Vermont v. CS-Fullerton +5.5 | 85-94 | Win | 100 | 11 h 52 m | Show
Things were close when the Titans and the Pepperdine Waves clashed this past Friday, but Cal State Fullerton ultimately edged out the opposition 74-71. Among those leading the charge for Cal State Fullerton was guard Jalen Harris, who had 27 points. Harris' performance made up for a slower contest against the San Diego State Aztecs last Monday. Meanwhile, Vermont found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 79-53 punch to the gut against the Saint Mary's Gaels this past Thursday. Robin Duncan put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 14 points. |
|||||||
11-13-22 | Grizzlies v. Wizards -1.5 | 92-102 | Win | 100 | 9 h 12 m | Show
Wizards seek to maintain momentum vs. Grizzlies The Washington Wizards will look to extend their winning streak to four games when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday. After recording impressive wins over the Charlotte Hornets and Dallas Mavericks, the Wizards posted a 121-112 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Kristaps Porzingis had 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead Washington, while Kyle Kuzma added 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists. The Wizards have won their last three games without leading scorer Bradley Beal, who has exited the NBA's health and safety protocol but is unlikely to play on Sunday. |
|||||||
11-13-22 | Colts +4.5 v. Raiders | 25-20 | Win | 100 | 6 h 53 m | Show
The Las Vegas Raiders had no video or scouting reports this week to prepare for Indianapolis Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday. Until Monday, he was an ESPN analyst. The unorthodox move by the Colts to hire Saturday after firing Frank Reich has forced the Raiders - already down two key weapons with tight end Darren Waller and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow going on injured reserve Thursday - to head into Sunday's game in Las Vegas largely in the dark. "I would assume that they're going to let the coaches that have been there to coach," Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said. "And the scheme isn't going to dramatically change on offense, defense or in the kicking game. And we talked (Wednesday) morning, they're going to be ready to go because Jeff will have them ready to go." One of the coaches on the Colts' staff is defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, who served in the same role in Las Vegas last year, so there is some familiarity. But it works both ways because Bradley has insight on how to defend the Raiders' offense, though he noted the system and some of the personnel have changed. No matter who's in charge, both teams find themselves in similar positions. |
|||||||
11-13-22 | Columbia v. Sacred Heart -6.5 | 85-88 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 47 m | Show
Columbia is now 0-2 while Sacred Heart sits at 1-1. Two last-season offensive stats to keep an eye on Columbia have only been able to knock down 29.10% percent of their shots, which is the 363rd lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Utah State v. Hawaii +11.5 | Top | 41-34 | Win | 100 | 30 h 26 m | Show |
Hawaii was on the road in their last game and had one to forget in a 55-13 blowout loss at the hands of Fresno State. They were down 31-0 at the half, were outgained 572 yards to 362 yards, and gave up 245 rushing yards. The Rainbow Warriors did not cover the spread despite being a 27.5-point underdog and they had covered in their previous four games. Even though they only have one MWC win this season they have covered six of their last seven conference games. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | San Jose State -2.5 v. San Diego State | 27-43 | Loss | -110 | 31 h 59 m | Show
Crunch time has arrived for the 2022 San Jose State football team. The Spartans officially achieved bowl eligibility after defeating Colorado State last Saturday night, and now have their sights set on a loftier goal – the Mountain West Conference Championship Game. They will need some help to get there (more on that later), but a difficult two-game stretch starting Saturday at San Diego State will have all of their attention. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Arizona v. UCLA -19.5 | Top | 34-28 | Loss | -110 | 30 h 7 m | Show |
No. 12 UCLA can run the ball, and Arizona has trouble stopping it. The teams' Saturday night matchup in Pasadena, Calif., might not get more complicated than that. The Bruins (8-1, 5-1 Pac-12) are seventh nationally and first in the conference in rushing yards per game (242.3), and they are coming off a 402-yard performance on the ground in a 50-36 road win over Arizona State, despite star running back Zach Charbonnet being unavailable due to injury. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson contributed 120 rushing yards, Kazmeir Allen rushed for 137 and Keegan Jones added 98. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Stanford v. Utah -23.5 | 7-42 | Win | 100 | 29 h 21 m | Show
Utah is the wrong team for Stanford to deal with right now. Turnover margin is a massive issue for the Cardinal – -12 on the year – and Utah has taken the ball away multiple times in six of the last eight games. The bigger problem is a non-existent run defense that got ripped apart for 630 yards and eight scores against UCLA and Washington State over the last two games. Utah continues to be a powerhouse on the ground. It ran for over 300 yards and five scores in the win over Arizona last week and should pound away at will on a Stanford defensive front that isn’t disruptive enough. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Illinois State v. Northwestern State +3.5 | 69-67 | Win | 100 | 10 h 40 m | Show
The Redbirds have failed to cover 11 of their last 15 Saturday games and four of their last 5 on the road. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | North Carolina v. Wake Forest -4 | 36-34 | Loss | -110 | 27 h 48 m | Show
Wake Forest might be on a two-game losing streak, but both of those losses came on the road against quality opponents. The Demon Deacons have won four of their five home games this season, with the lone loss coming in double overtime against then-No. 5 Clemson. They have scored at least 37 points in all five home games, so they are well-equipped to deal with North Carolina's offense. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Presbyterian v. East Carolina -6.5 | Top | 57-77 | Win | 100 | 6 h 35 m | Show |
The Blue Hose will be seeking to avenge the 76-56 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played on Dec. 22 of 2016. Presbyterian received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 70-58 to The Citadel Bulldogs. Meanwhile, things were close when East Carolina and the Mercer Bears clashed on Tuesday, but the Pirates ultimately edged out the opposition 77-75. Brandon Johnson and Javon Small were among the main playmakers for East Carolina as the former had 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and the latter had 23 points and five assists. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Northern Arizona v. Utah Valley -10 | 69-73 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 20 m | Show
The Utah Valley Wolverines have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at 4 p.m. ET Nov. 12 at UCCU Events Center. The Wolverines should still be riding high after a big win, while Northern Arizona will be looking to regain their footing. Everything went Utah Valley's way against the Western Colorado Mountaineers on Wednesday as they made off with a 91-64 victory. Meanwhile, the game between Northern Arizona and the Arizona State Sun Devils on Thursday was not particularly close, with Northern Arizona falling 84-68. Guard Liam Lloyd had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with 11 points on 4-for-10 shooting in his 38 minutes on the court. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | Army v. Troy -9 | 9-10 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 51 m | Show
The Troy Trojans are first in the West division of the Sun Belt Conference thanks to excellent defense that is holding opponents to an average of 17.6 points per game which is 12th best in the nation. Troy allows an average of 113.1 yards rushing and 215.0 yards passing for a total of 328.1 yards per game. Opposing offenses have averaged only 3.3 yards per carry against the Troy defense. |
|||||||
11-12-22 | New Mexico +21.5 v. Air Force | Top | 3-35 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 4 m | Show |
It’s a battle of Mountain West opponents from the aptly named Mountain Division when New Mexico plays the Air Force. The Lobos (2-7, 0-5) dropped their sixth straight game, a 27-10 loss to Utah State and a loss ATS as 14.5 underdogs. The Falcons (6-3, 2-3) took the Commanders’ Classic, 13-7, over Army last week, but for their second straight loss, ATS barely missed as -7 favorites. Over three touchdowns is too much for a Falcons team that might be looking ahead. |
