12-17-22 | Jackson State v. NC Central +14 | 34-41 | Win | 100 | 1 h 7 m | Show
The Eagles' defensive unit may be a background character compared to the team's explosive offense this season. However, their mark is undeniably left statistically. They possess the MEAC's best red-zone defense, featuring five takeaways, six turnovers on downs, and only 19 allowed touchdowns from 34 possessions. |

12-16-22 | Blues +1.5 v. Flames | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show
The Blues arrive in Stampede City on the heels of a wild 4-3 shootout win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. The Blues scored twice in the third period, including Vladimir Tarasenko's game-tying tally with 20 seconds remaining. The Oilers even had an overtime goal disallowed because of an offside call before Jordan Kyrou scored the lone shootout goal to cap a night in which he netted one goal and two assists. "It's one of those wins we'll remember moving forward," goaltender Jordan Bennington said. Certainly, it was memorable right from the start. The Blues were penalized for starting a wrong player, with Brayden Schenn listed as a starter but Brandon Saad instead on the ice at puck drop. The Oilers scored on the ensuing power play |

12-15-22 | 49ers v. Seahawks +4 | Top | 21-13 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 2 m | Show |
A few years ago, Kyle Shanahan celebrated his first division title as San Francisco's coach in the visiting locker room at Seattle after a Sunday night game on the final day of the season that was nearly decided on the final snap. Shanahan and the 49ers can repeat what they accomplished in 2019 and wrap up another NFC West title on Thursday night in Seattle against the Seahawks, but with far less stress this time. San Francisco (9-4) is the hottest team in the NFL, having won six straight, the longest active streak in the league. The 49ers have won each of their past four games by double digits, including last week's 35-7 thumping of Tampa Bay. Since their last loss at Kansas City in Week 7, the 49ers have not allowed an opponent to score more than 16 points, and a win on Thursday would be the earliest in the season they have clinched a division title since 2011. |

12-14-22 | Wolves +6.5 v. Clippers | 88-99 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 8 m | Show
The Los Angeles Clippers are "oh, so close" to being whole again and just showed what their full potential can be in advance of a meeting with the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. The Clippers got off to a hot start Monday, overcame a second-quarter lull and cruised to a 113-93 victory over the NBA-best Boston Celtics. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George led the Clippers in scoring as expected, with a combined 51 points, but it was the Los Angeles defense that showed why the team is finally becoming one to reckon with. The Clippers held the Celtics below 100 points for the first time this season, showing a complete package in just the eighth game this season that Leonard and George have played together. "We did a great job pretty much across the whole board," George said. "... Of course, you could nitpick and probably clean up a lot of possessions, but I think when you look at this game overall, we did pretty much everything that we wanted to do from a game plan standpoint." Close to a return is sharpshooter Norman Powell (groin), who would give Los Angeles its full array of talent. After missing the last seven games, Powell could be back as soon as Wednesday. As well-rounded as the Clippers can potentially be as a team, it is Leonard that was expected to guide the way. His 25 points Monday came mostly on 10-of-12 shooting from the field. |

12-14-22 | Cavs +2.5 v. Mavs | 105-90 | Win | 100 | 5 h 11 m | Show
Free throws have been especially costly this season for the Dallas Mavericks, who host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. Dallas is 14-13 while shooting just 72.7 percent from the foul line, which ranks 29th in the league. Memphis is the only team with a lower percentage (70.2). "Literally, we'd probably have five more wins if we could shoot free throws," Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said. "Easily. It's just the way it goes. We went through the same things early last year and for some reason it's been an Achilles heel." Dallas showed some improvement in its last game, a 121-114 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. The Mavericks snapped a two-game losing skid while making 21 of 25 (84 percent) from the foul line. Luka Doncic returned after missing one game to rest his right quad contusion and tallied 38 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, while Spencer Dinwiddie recorded his first double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 assists. Doncic has opened the season by scoring at least 20 points in 34 straight games, matching Mark Aguirre's 1983-84 Mavericks record. The Mavericks have won seven of the past eight meetings against Cleveland. They will face the Cavs twice in the next four days, as Dallas hosts Portland on Friday before starting a four-game road trip Saturday in Cleveland. |

12-12-22 | Rice v. Texas -24 | 81-87 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 11 m | Show
No. 7 Texas experienced its first loss of the season last week, but that isn't the same sort of adversity the Longhorns will be facing Monday night when they host Rice in Austin, Texas. Longhorns players woke up Monday to the news that their head coach, Chris Beard, had been arrested in Austin and jailed on a charge of assault of a family or household member, with impeding "breath circulation" part of the charge. He was still in custody as of mid-morning as he awaited an appearance before a judge. Texas issued a brief statement. "The university is aware of the situation regarding Chris Beard. We are continuing to gather information and monitor the legal process," it read. The athletic department did not immediately announce whether Beard would be on the sidelines, but it is unlikely. Associate head coach Rodney Terry has 10 years of head-coaching experience at Fresno State (2011-18) and at UTEP (2018-21). The team will have to switch focus to Rice on Monday. |
|||||||
12-12-22 | Sacred Heart -1.5 v. Stony Brook | Top | 64-71 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 37 m | Show |
Pioneers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing straight-up record, while the Seawolves have failed to cover four straight games after a SU loss. |
|||||||
12-11-22 | New Mexico State +5 v. Duquesne | 73-60 | Win | 100 | 5 h 8 m | Show
NMSU is still winless on the road, but they threw together an admirable showing at Santa Clara. Marchelus Avery, Issa Muhammad, Anthony Roy and Mike Peake were all suspended against Santa Clara due to ongoing police investigations. Avery, Muhammad and Roy had a one game suspension and will be available against Duquesne. Peake (9 PPG in 20.5 Mins) remains suspended indefinitely. Shorthanded, the Aggies threw together an impressive performance and hot shooting from deep along with pesky defense kept them in the game. |
|||||||
12-11-22 | Oklahoma State +2.5 v. Virginia Tech | 65-70 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 12 m | Show
As a senior at Edmond Memorial in Oklahoma, Sean Pedulla's college decision came down to the school 50 minutes from his home -- Oklahoma State -- or Virginia Tech. Pedulla opted for Tech and hasn't looked back. The sophomore leads the Hokies in scoring (17.0 points per game) and assists (3.8) heading into a game he has circled on his calendar: Virginia Tech (9-1) takes on Oklahoma State (6-3) in the Hall of Fame Invitational on Sunday in Brooklyn, N.Y. Coming off four straight home victories, the Hokies could move into the Top 25 with a victory. Pedulla has keyed the rise, taking over as the primary ball handler for a team that ranks No. 5 in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio. Tech is in fine form. After wins over Minnesota and North Carolina, the Hokies dominated Dayton 77-49 on Wednesday behind Grant Basile (23 points, 10 rebounds) and Pedulla (19 points). They won easily even though Justyn Mutts got into early foul trouble against Dayton (he led the Hokies with 27 points three nights earlier against UNC) and didn't take a shot from the floor in playing just 22 minutes against Dayton. Yet Tech didn't miss a beat as it handed the Flyers their worst defeat in seven years. Oklahoma State is coming off a quality win, 65-51, Tuesday at home over Sam Houston, a team that owns victories over major-conference foes Oklahoma and Utah. |
|||||||
12-11-22 | Prairie View A&M v. Northwestern -16.5 | 51-61 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 4 m | Show
Offensive production has been hard to come by for Prairie View A&M this season, as they are currently ranked 252nd in college basketball at 69.5 points per game. A major reason for low scoring totals is the fact that that have played at a below average pace, and have struggled to knock down outside shots. As a team, the Panthers’ 3-point shooting percentage sits at just 34.7%, placing them 201st in the NCAA. |
|||||||
12-11-22 | Browns +4.5 v. Bengals | 10-23 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 43 m | Show
The Cincinnati Bengals beat AFC power Kansas City last Sunday for the third time in 11 months. Now the surging Bengals turn their attention to trying to end a five-game skid against division rival Cleveland. The Bengals (8-4) haven't been able to beat the Browns (5-7) lately, losing the Battle of Ohio five times in a row. Cincinnati has lost eight of nine in the series dating to 2018. The last outing was an embarrassment for the Bengals, a 32-13 rout in Cleveland on Halloween. The AFC North rivals meet again Sunday in Cincinnati. "We kind of owe these guys," Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard said. That Browns squad that walloped Cincinnati was led by backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett, now residing on the bench in favor of Deshaun Watson, Cleveland's $230 million man who was suspended for the first 11 games over sexual misconduct allegations. The Bengals have won four in a row since the Browns loss. Star receiver Ja'Marr Chase is back in action after missing the earlier Browns game and three more with a hairline hip fracture. Quarterback Joe Burrow is trailing only Patrick Mahomes in passing yards after besting the Chiefs star last Sunday. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Wolves +5.5 v. Blazers | 118-124 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 50 m | Show
Minnesota has won five straight games against Portland after the Trail Blazers prevailed in eight of the previous 10 meetings. The Timberwolves could be a bit fatigued after opening a five-game trip with a 118-108 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday night. The contest marked center Rudy Gobert's first visit to Salt Lake City since Minnesota acquired him from the Jazz during the offseason. Gobert, a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, contributed 22 points and 13 rebounds and was warmly received by Utah fans. "We were starting a five-game road trip, and we really wanted to start the right way," Gobert said afterward. "And, of course, me coming back home to a place I spent nine years of my career, I really wanted to get this one." D'Angelo Russell scored 20 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Timberwolves. Russell was 12 of 16 from the field overall and 6 of 9 from 3-point range. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Monmouth +16.5 v. Princeton | 54-91 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 6 m | Show
Hawks are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600, while the Tigers have failed to cover seven straight home games. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Grand Canyon +3.5 v. North Texas | 58-60 | Win | 100 | 6 h 47 m | Show
Antelopes are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. The Mean Green are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Kansas v. Missouri +3.5 | 95-67 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 18 m | Show
After rolling to an 8-1 start with a busy early schedule, No. 6 Kansas caught its breath and got back to basics while practicing for its rivalry game at Missouri on Saturday. "So there's no reason why we shouldn't be rested before we play Mizzou," Kansas coach Bill Self said. "And there are some things we need to definitely work on. So hopefully we'll be more equipped to play a little bit better when we go out there." Self-promised to work on team defense ahead of this game. "If you could get a team to promise to not set one ball screen, our defense would be a lot better," Self quipped after Kansas defeated Seton Hall 91-65 on Dec. 1. "So that would be all you'd have to do." He also noted his team's struggles in defensive transition during the first half against Seton Hall. That is notable because Missouri (9-0) has shifted to a fast-paced style that has produced 93 points per game, the most in Division I. Kansas is averaging 77.7 points per game led by forward Jalen Wilson (21.9 points per game) and Gradey Dick (15.3). Self believes the Jayhawks could be even more explosive offensively with better passing. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Eastern Washington v. South Dakota State -7.5 | 76-77 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 25 m | Show
Eagles are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, while the Jackrabbits are 42-16-2 ATS in their last 60 games following an ATS loss |
|||||||
12-10-22 | San Jose State v. Santa Clara -8.5 | 75-64 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 22 m | Show
Santa Clara was at home in their last game beating New Mexico State 66-65 where they played well defensively and doubled up the Aggies in points from the free-throw line. The Broncos only shot 43.1% from the floor but held New Mexico State to 38.1% shooting and had 14 points from the charity stripe while the Aggies only had seven. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Fresno State -4.5 v. Pacific | 72-76 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 11 m | Show
The Fresno State Bulldogs have been struggling, but they defeated the CSU Northridge Matadors at home 65-56 last time out. They played well in the second half as they outscored the Bulldogs 36-26. They shot the ball well from close throughout the game, finishing 20-of-45 (44.4 percent) overall, 8-of-26 (30.8 percent) from the three, and 23 free-throw attempts. Junior guard Donavan Yap led the team as in 23 minutes he finished with 17 points, two rebounds, two steals, and three turnovers. Defensively, they allowed 40.4 percent from the floor and 35 percent from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs finished with six steals and forced 15 turnovers throughout the game. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Longwood v. Wichita State -8 | 63-81 | Win | 100 | 5 h 53 m | Show
Shockers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight-up loss. This number seems to be begging you to take the 8.5 but we're not falling for that. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Denver v. UCLA -26 | 64-87 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 41 m | Show
No. 19 UCLA will be seeking its fifth straight victory when Denver visits Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon. The Pac-12's Bruins defeated Oregon 65-56 on Sunday before undergoing a week of final exams. Jaime Jaquez Jr., Jaylen Clark and Tyger Campbell lead the way for coach Mick Cronin and the Bruins (7-2, 2-0 Pac-12) . Jaquez is averaging a team-high 17.3 points while also grabbing 5.7 rebounds per game. Clark is contributing 14.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, and Campbell is chipping in with 13.9 points and 4.9 assists. Jaquez and Campbell, both seniors, are averaging nearly 31 minutes -- something Cronin admitted could be a concern against tough opponents. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Evansville +10 v. Ball State | 69-88 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 26 m | Show
Ball State has been mired in mediocrity for a while now, but there are some encouraging signs that indicate they could be trending upward. They enter this one at 5-4, but that record could easily be a lot better if not for a bunch of close losses. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Arkansas v. Oklahoma +4.5 | 88-78 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 31 m | Show
Despite adding a pair of wins to its ledger this week, No. 9 Arkansas suffered a harsh setback on Wednesday in the latter of its two non-conference home games. When coach Eric Musselman's squad returns to action Saturday afternoon against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Crimson and Cardinal Classic in Tulsa, Okla., it will do so without reserve big man Trevon Brazile. The 6-foot-10 Brazile, who poured in a career-high 23 points in Saturday's 99-58 blowout of San Jose State, tore his ACL in Wednesday's narrow 65-58 win over UNC Greensboro in a game that was close throughout. Averaging 11.8 points per game, leading the team in rebounds and blocked shots, and shooting 37.9 percent from behind the arc, the sophomore Brazile -- who transferred from Missouri -- will be lost for the remainder of the season. The Springfield, Mo., native had two double-doubles and topped the 20-point mark three times in his first season with Arkansas. That absence creates a big void in the paint for Musselman and the Razorbacks (8-1), who had to put together a second straight strong second half to beat visiting UNCG. |
|||||||
12-10-22 | Vermont v. Colgate -4.5 | 73-72 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 59 m | Show
Catamounts are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Saturday games. The Raiders are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 |
|||||||
12-09-22 | Fairleigh Dickinson v. Columbia +1.5 | 76-73 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 48 m | Show
The Lions are 2-3 in their last five games and have managed to cover the spread three times in those contests. In their most recent loss to the Retrievers, Kenny Noland scored 15 points and Avery Brown scored 13 points, while the rest of the unit struggled on offense. De La Rosa has led the Lions in points and steals averages this season. The Lions are averaging 69 points on 41.5% shooting while giving up 71.3 points on 44.4% shooting. They are restricting their opponents to 36.2% shooting from the three-point line and 67.3% shooting from the charity stripe. They are struggling to grab rebounds on either side of the court, which has become a problem for the Lions this season. |
|||||||
12-09-22 | Binghamton +14 v. Fordham | 62-77 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 40 m | Show
It's the Rams struggle on the defensive end that has been shying away from laying the points. |
|||||||
12-08-22 | Jacksonville State +16 v. Utah | 58-99 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 8 m | Show
The Jacksonville State Gamecocks have four wins and four losses this season. The wins have come against the Shorter Hawks (111-48), Elon Phoenix (78-53), North Dakota State Bison, and East Tennessee State Buccaneers (63-61). The team is scoring 74.8 points per game while conceding 71.1 points. Their three-point shooting is brilliant at 41.6% whereas the field goal percentage is 44.7. They'll have enough to stay within the number. |
|||||||
12-08-22 | Michigan v. Minnesota +4.5 | 90-75 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 12 m | Show
The Minnesota Golden Gophers were overwhelmed by one of the nation's premier college centers in their Big Ten opener. They'll face another one in their second conference game when they host Michigan in Minneapolis on Thursday. Purdue's Zach Edey racked up 31 points and 22 rebounds in the Boilermakers' 89-70 victory on Sunday, handing the Golden Gophers (4-4, 0-1 Big Ten) their third consecutive loss. "I don't think there's a team in the country that has an answer for him," Minnesota coach Ben Johnson said. "The problem is he puts so much foul pressure on you. We didn't get off to a good start but they do such a good job of getting him the ball that it's just a matter of time." Minnesota was down 42-27 at halftime, though it showed some signs of life in the second half by scoring 43 points. "I thought it was a better offensive effort than the last couple of games," Johnson said. "The ball was moving more than it had." |
|||||||
12-08-22 | Colorado State v. Colorado -4 | Top | 65-93 | Win | 100 | 2 h 1 m | Show |
Colorado will be counting on another strong performance from the team’s leading scorer KJ Simpson who is averaging 16.22 points per game for the Buffaloes. Simpson is also important to the team’s ability to score on the perimeter. So far, he leads the team in 3-point shots made. Also key to the Buffaloes’ offensive game plan is the play of Tristan Da Silva who has hit 48.3% of his field goal attempts on his way to averaging 12.0 points per game. Coming into today’s game, Colorado will be looking for some improved play from their offense. Currently, the Buffaloes are ranked 193rd at 71.2 points per game. A major reason for their low-scoring numbers is the fact that they tend to work the clock on offense. |
|||||||
12-08-22 | Senators +1.5 v. Stars | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 1 h 22 m | Show
The Dallas Stars have managed to avoid letting losses build up this season, a trend they will look to maintain when hosting the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. Dallas is coming off a 4-0 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, its second straight defeat after dropping a 6-5 shootout decision to the Minnesota Wild. It's only the fourth time this season the Stars have lost consecutive games, and they have yet to lose three in a row. The club is 1-1-1 to start a five-game homestand and 2-2-2 in the past six games. While the Stars' potent offense -- among the NHL's best with an average of 3.77 goals for per game (third-most entering Wednesday) -- has delivered with at least four goals scored in five of their past seven games, the team has struggled to keep the puck out of its own net, allowing at least four goals in five of their past seven as well. |
|||||||
12-08-22 | Raiders v. Rams +7 | 16-17 | Win | 100 | 1 h 9 m | Show
The Rams have three options at quarterback, but none is Matthew Stafford, who is out with a bruised spinal cord. John Wolford wasn't outstanding in Los Angeles' loss to Seattle last weekend while dealing with a neck injury, and mobile third-stringer Bryce Perkins wasn't any better the previous week. The Rams claimed Baker Mayfield off waivers from Carolina on Tuesday, and while the former No. 1 draft pick probably will be active Thursday, coach Sean McVay is hoping he won't need to play. |
|||||||
12-07-22 | Coyotes +1.5 v. Oilers | 2-8 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 58 m | Show
The Edmonton Oilers will look for a bounce-back win when they host the reeling Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday. The Oilers suffered their second loss in the past three games, falling 3-2 to the visiting Washington Capitals on Monday. The Coyotes are coming off a 3-2 loss at Calgary on Monday, Arizona's ninth defeat in its past 10 games, with three of the setbacks coming in overtime or a shootout. Edmonton took a 2-1 in the second period on goals by Brett Kulak and Connor McDavid before the Capitals pulled even on T.J. Oshie's goal with a little more than three minutes left in the period. Nic Dowd's goal at the 7:13 mark of the third period proved to be the difference. While McDavid scored in his fifth straight game to give him 22 goals for the season -- second most in the league -- it was Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner (7-6, 2.93 goals-against average) who kept Edmonton in the game. He finished with 47 saves, including 22 in the first period alone, as Washington outshot the Oilers by a whopping 50-30 for the game. |
|||||||
12-07-22 | Pittsburgh v. Vanderbilt -3 | 74-75 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 60 m | Show
Vanderbilt comes off a 65-62 home win over Wofford. Seven-foot forward Liam Robbins led the Commodores with 14 points and nine rebounds. After playing just 26 combined minutes in season-opening home losses to Memphis and Southern Miss, Robbins has averaged 24.2 minutes and 15.0 points a game. Forward Myles Stute (12.6 ppg) leads the Commodores in scoring as well as 3-point field goals (26) and percentage (50.9%). Guard Tyrin Lawrence (10.8 ppg), Vandy's third-leading scorer, tallied 13 in the Wofford win and chipped in with two huge field goals in the game's final minutes. The Panthers (73.6% from the foul line) could have a significant edge over Vanderbilt (61.7%) if the game comes down to free throws). The Commodores could also use some good health, especially for guard/forward Jordan Wright, Vandy's leading returning scorer from last year. |
|||||||
12-07-22 | Arizona State v. SMU +5.5 | 75-57 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 56 m | Show
Arizona State looks to win its seventh consecutive game when it battles SMU in non-conference play on Wednesday night at Dallas. The Sun Devils (8-1, 2-0 Pac-12) are off to their best nine-game start since the 2018-19 season -- the last season they made the NCAA Tournament. They are fresh off opening conference play with wins over Colorado and Stanford by a total of five points -- 60-59 over the host Buffaloes on Thursday and 68-64 over the visiting Cardinal on Sunday. Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley said the team's depth is keeping players fresh, while forward Warren Washington points to Hurley's demanding tactics as a key component in the strong start. It appears like these are two teams going in opposite directions, but the end result will say otherwise. |

12-07-22 | Ball State v. Eastern Illinois +11.5 | 76-59 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 4 m | Show
Cardinals are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games. |

12-07-22 | Campbell v. Evansville +3.5 | 66-72 | Win | 100 | 1 h 50 m | Show
Fighting Camels are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. |

12-06-22 | Coastal Carolina +6.5 v. Wofford | 61-71 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 36 m | Show

|||||||
12-06-22 | Blue Jackets v. Penguins -1.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 0 m | Show
The Pittsburgh Penguins and visiting Columbus Blue Jackets meet Tuesday in a Metropolitan Division matchup. The teams played Oct. 22 in Columbus, with Pittsburgh coming out with a 6-3 win. Since then, things have continued to go better for the Penguins, while the Blue Jackets have dropped to the bottom of not only the division, but also the Eastern Conference. Pittsburgh has points in 11 of its past 13 games (9-2-2), including two wins in a row. In those two Penguins' wins, there was a clear standout. While others compiled points, none got as much attention as winger Kasperi Kapanen. He scored the deciding goal midway through the third Thursday in a 4-3 win against the Vegas Golden Knights, then had his second career hat trick Saturday in a 6-2 win against the St. Louis Blues. The game against the Golden Knights was just Kapanen's second following seven in a row in which he was a healthy scratch after he struggled, as he hadn't scored a goal since the season opener. |

12-06-22 | Georgia +4.5 v. Georgia Tech | 77-79 | Win | 100 | 6 h 22 m | Show
Georgia will look to extend its winning streak to four games when it visits Georgia Tech on Tuesday in Atlanta. The Bulldogs (7-2) are coming off a 68-46 win over visiting Florida A&M on Friday, while Georgia Tech (5-3) pulled away for an 81-63 victory over Northeastern on Friday for its second win in its past five games. Georgia had four players out against the Rattlers -- Kario Oquendo (13.7 points per game, sore knee), Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe (5.0 ppg, right ankle), leading scorer Terry Roberts (14 ppg, illness) and center Frank Anselem (3.1 ppg, illness). "You're already searching offensively, and now you're searching at another level," first-year Georgia coach Mike White said, adding all four will be game-time decisions against the Yellow Jackets. "You've got to adapt, right? We told guys at shootaround, 'Hey, you all want more opportunity, (well) here it comes.'" Mardrez McBride responded by recording 15 points and nine rebounds, while Jabri Abdur-Rahim added 14 points and Braelen Bridges finished with 10 points and eight rebounds against the Rattlers. Georgia has already surpassed its win total from last year and is off to a strong start under White, who arrived after leading Florida for the previous seven seasons. He replaced Tom Crean, who was let go after the Bulldogs went 6-26 last season. |

12-06-22 | Bucknell +6.5 v. La Salle | 72-82 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Although there isn't much reason to back the Bison, the Explorers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and I can't lay the 6.5 until they right the ship. |
|||||||
12-05-22 | Canadiens +1.5 v. Canucks | 6-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show
The Vancouver Canucks will try to win back-to-back home games for the first time this season when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night. Vancouver picked up just its fourth home win in 11 games (4-6-1) when they rallied for a 3-2 overtime victory against Arizona on Saturday. That snapped a three-game home losing streak that included back-to-back 5-1 losses to Washington and Florida earlier in the week. Bo Horvat scored two goals, including the game-winner on a power play with 51 seconds remaining in overtime, and Brock Boeser scored the tying goal at the 11:48 mark of the third period. "When you lose a couple in a row, you need your captain to step up and do the job," Vancouver coach Bruce Boudreau said of Horvat. "And he stepped up and did the job." The goals were the 18th and 19th of the season for Horvat. |

12-05-22 | North Dakota State +15.5 v. Portland | Top | 67-62 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
The North Dakota State Bison have been struggling and lost on the road 78-70 against the Eastern Washington Eagles. They did well as they scored 35 points in both halves of the game. They shot the ball well as they were 27-of-59 (45.8 percent) overall, 12-of-30 (40 percent) from the three, and just seven free-throw attempts. |

12-05-22 | Suns v. Mavs -2.5 | 111-130 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show
The Phoenix Suns have dominated regular-season play with Dallas over the past three-plus seasons, but overshadowing that success is their epic collapse against the Mavericks in last season's Western Conference semifinals. Dallas won the final two games of those semifinals by an average of 30 points to reach the Western Conference finals and send Phoenix home earlier than expected. But come Monday night in Dallas, the Suns will be looking to defeat the Mavericks for the second time this season and 11th in a row in the regular season. Phoenix rallied from a 22-point deficit to edge Dallas 107-105 on Oct. 19 in the season opener for both squads. The Western Conference-leading Suns are also the hotter team entering the latest matchup. Phoenix has won seven of its last eight games while the Mavericks have prevailed in just two of their last seven contests. The Suns started a two-game Texas road swing by pummeling the San Antonio Spurs 133-95 on Sunday. Deandre Ayton had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Mikal Bridges and Devin Booker scored 20 points apiece. |

12-05-22 | Saints +3.5 v. Bucs | 16-17 | Win | 100 | 7 h 9 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren't in a position to make any assumptions about their chances of winning the woeful NFC South. With Tom Brady at quarterback, a talented group of offensive playmakers around the seven-time Super Bowl champion, as well as a top-10 defense, the first-place Bucs (5-6) seem to have everything it takes to shrug off a disappointing start and repeat as division champions. Except for consistency. Brady and company have already lost more games than they did all last season. And holding off the Atlanta Falcons (5-7), Carolina Panthers (4-8), and New Orleans Saints (4-8) in a race in which all four teams currently have losing records may be their only path back to the playoffs. The stretch run begins Monday night against the last-place Saints, who despite losing to Tampa Bay at home in Week 2 have had more success against Brady than any opponent since the 45-year-old quarterback left the New England Patriots in 2020. |

12-05-22 | 76ers v. Rockets +8.5 | 123-132 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show
Prior to embarking on a three-game road trip that has thus far produced losses in Cleveland and Memphis, the Philadelphia 76ers appeared to have concocted a winning formula despite their rotation lacking the starting backcourt of James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. The 76ers had won seven of nine games before registering a 28-point loss to the Cavaliers and a 117-109 setback against the Grizzlies on Friday. Philadelphia will conclude the trip on Monday against the Houston Rockets, eyeing a return to the win column despite those who are missing. "I don't want to use that as an excuse. We've got to find a way to win," 76ers coach Doc Rivers said. "We know guys are out but I'm never going to give us that, I'm just not. I refuse to. "We definitely missed some ball-handling, you could see that. But we knew that (going in). We just have to deal with it." The 76ers fell to 8-6 without Harden (foot) but are optimistic that he could return against the Rockets, for whom he averaged 29.6 points and 7.7 assists over eight-plus seasons and 621 games. Harden has averaged 22 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists in nine games this season. |

12-05-22 | Celtics v. Raptors -1 | 116-110 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 48 m | Show
The visiting Boston Celtics can expect to see the best version of the Raptors on Monday night since Toronto seemingly takes things to the next level when it plays at home. Toronto's 121-108 triumph over the Orlando Magic on Saturday extended the team's home winning streak to three games. The Raptors are 9-2 at home this season compared to 3-9 on the road. It was a much-needed victory for the Raptors, who got off to slow starts in their two games leading up to Saturday's matchup -- a blowout loss at New Orleans and a nine-point road setback against the Nets. Toronto shot a season-high 56.0 percent from the field (47-for-84) against Orlando. Toronto's O.G. Anunoby tied his season high by scoring 32 points against the Magic. Pascal Siakam added 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Scottie Barnes finished the game with 17 points and a season-high 14 rebounds. "We just wanted to regroup, be better," Barnes said. "It was a bad feeling in the locker room (following the Brooklyn loss Friday)." |

12-05-22 | Avalanche -1.5 v. Flyers | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 9 m | Show
The depleted Philadelphia Flyers will continue a difficult homestand when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Monday. The Flyers dropped home games last week to the Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils. After a 4-1 loss to the Lightning on Thursday, the Flyers were edged 3-2 by the Devils on Saturday. The task won't get any easier against the defending Stanley Cup champion Avalanche as the Flyers still are without key injured players such as Ryan Ellis, Sean Couturier, James van Riemsdyk and Cam Atkinson. "We played a great game (Saturday); a full 60," Flyers goaltender Carter Hart said. "I think it came down to goaltending. I have to be better, and I will be better." The Flyers outshot the Devils 33-18 and scored a power-play goal. But they lost. Again. |
|||||||
12-04-22 | Colts +10.5 v. Cowboys | 19-54 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 36 m | Show
Jonathan Taylor is the third consecutive elite back the Cowboys are facing in a stretch that started with Dallas' defense struggling against the run. The Cowboys won while keeping Minnesota's Dalvin Cook and Saquon Barkley under control. They'll try to make it 3 for 3 against Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts (4-7-1) on Sunday night. Dallas coach Mike McCarthy thinks he has attended two college games in three decades on NFL coaching staffs. One was watching Taylor and Wisconsin against Iowa. "Just his ability to run inside with the discipline and toughness," McCarthy said. "I think he's definitely a featured back, and I wouldn't be surprised if he carries it north of 20 against us." There's a peek at one of the keys for the Cowboys (8-3) against Cook and Barkley. They had limited opportunities. Dallas had the biggest road blowout in franchise history in a 40-3 rout of the Vikings, thus Cook had just 11 carries for the trailing team. The Giants ran just 59 plays on Thanksgiving, and 35 were passes. So Barkley had just 11 attempts for 39 yards. |

12-04-22 | Northwestern +6.5 v. Michigan State | 70-63 | Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
Visiting Northwestern and No. 20 Michigan State figure to be more intense than usual when they open their respective Big Ten schedules against each other Sunday in East Lansing, Mich. That's because the Wildcats and Spartans are coming off their worst losses of the season, so they'll be in the mood for redemption. Northwestern comes in at 5-2 but has dropped two straight. A 43-42 loss on Nov. 23 to then-No. 15 Auburn was forgivable since it was against a ranked opponent on a neutral court in Cancun, Mexico. But an 87-58 home loss to unranked Pittsburgh on Monday was more embarrassing. The Wildcats were outscored 50-30 in the second half. "It was just disappointing," head coach Chris Collins said. "I didn't think we played very well. I'll always be the one where if a team beats us and we're in character and we're playing with incredible fire, determination and all those things, I'll be the first one to tip my cap. "I just didn't have that feeling (Monday). I don't know if it was coming off the trip we had or whatever. (There are) no excuses to be had. We weren't who we've been the first six games." One feature Northwestern has that many teams don't is a veteran backcourt. Seniors Chase Audige and Boo Buie are the team's leading scorers (Buie averages 12.9 points per game, Audige 12.4 ppg) and playmakers who have played in a lot of tough environments. Just like the Wildcats, Michigan State will try to respond after a lopsided loss. |

12-04-22 | Lakers v. Wizards -2 | 130-119 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 56 m | Show
The recently resurgent Los Angeles Lakers look to stay hot away from home when they continue a five-game eastern trip Sunday, taking on a host Washington Wizards team trying to shake out of a funk. The Wizards lost for the fifth time in six games Friday when their fourth-quarter rally at Charlotte fell just short, 117-116. The Wizards stormed back from a 13-point deficit, outscoring the Hornets 18-6 over the final 8:19, but could not complete the comeback. "The biggest thing we learned is we just can't get in a hole like that," Bradley Beal said to the Washington Post following the loss. Beal scored 33 points but committed two costly turnovers in the closing stretch. "It's tough to climb out of those holes and close out games, too." The Wizards trailed by 15 points at halftime after a 38-28 second quarter. Washington surrendered 72 first-half points and, despite a big rally in the fourth quarter, could not overcome the initial deficit. As Washington looks to pull out of its recent swoon, the Lakers come in having won four of five, including their last three on the road. Friday night the Lakers started their trip in Milwaukee with a 133-129 victory over the Bucks. |

12-04-22 | Bulls +3 v. Kings | 101-110 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 50 m | Show
Two teams headed east following the game hope to make the most of their last day in California when the Chicago Bulls visit the Sacramento Kings on Sunday afternoon. The Bulls will be looking to break even on a six-game trip that saw them win two of the first three before dropping the last couple at Phoenix and Golden State. They'll be seeking their first win at Sacramento in three years when they encounter a Kings club that has won two in a row, including a 123-96 romp on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday afternoon. The Bulls and Kings have not met previously this season. Chicago appeared on the verge of a surprising comeback at Golden State on Friday night when it held the Warriors without a point for 3 1/2 minutes, allowing the visitors to close an eight-point deficit to 110-109 after a Zach LaVine 3-pointer with 2:27 to play. Chicago's defense cracked down on the Warriors' next possession as well, but Draymond Green nailed a desperation 26-footer to save Golden State. Big man Nikola Vucevic wasn't buying talk of a moral victory afterward. |

12-04-22 | Seahawks v. Rams +7 | 27-23 | Win | 100 | 2 h 15 m | Show
Bobby Wagner was the beating heart of the Seattle Seahawks' defense for a full decade, growing from a hard-hitting rookie linebacker into a six-time All-Pro with a Super Bowl ring and the abiding love of an entire region of football fans. Wagner's first game against the Seahawks (6-5) in the horned helmet of his hometown Los Angeles Rams (3-8) certainly seems like it would make for an emotionally fraught Sunday afternoon for one of the best defensive players of his generation. "It's just another game, just a game coming up," Wagner said. "We're playing in our stadium against a team that's pretty good." Yet even by downplaying the magnitude of the Seahawks' visit to SoFi Stadium, Wagner admits he's acknowledging just how much his decade in Seattle meant to him. "Being a part of that organization, that's kind of the method," Wagner said. "You never really make a game too big or too little ... because then it makes you inconsistent. Because you'll get up for one game, but then you won't get up for the next game. I'm personally just treating this game like it's a normal game." Wagner built his football foundation with Pete Carroll and the Seahawks, and even their moderately messy breakup didn't alter his fundamental principles. He was disappointed when he didn't get a call informing him of Seattle's plan to release him, and he wondered if it was because he represents himself - but Wagner says he's over it. |

12-04-22 | Ducks +1.5 v. Jets | 2-5 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 59 m | Show
A visit from the reeling Anaheim Ducks might be what the Winnipeg Jets need to avoid losing back-to-back home contests for the first time this season. Looking to rebound from their third home defeat, the Jets aim to hand the visiting Ducks a sixth straight defeat Sunday. Winnipeg outscored Dallas, Chicago and Colorado 17-6 during a three-game winning streak that ended with Friday's 4-1 loss to Columbus. Ex-Jet Patrik Laine scored twice as Winnipeg got down 4-0 before Pierre-Luc Dubois registered his 11th goal late in the third. It was the fourth regulation defeat in the last 17 games for the Jets, who also fell to 8-3-0 at home. Winnipeg has only dropped back-to-back games this season on Oct. 20 at Vegas, and two days later against Toronto. "That's just not our team," Jets coach Rick Bowness said. "Every game is important. We set the standard of how we're going to play regardless of who we play. And, as I told (the team), it's on every individual to look at yourself first." While Columbus sits last in the Eastern Conference, the Jets find themselves in a similar situation Sunday. Anaheim has six wins and an NHL-low 15 points through 25 games. |

12-04-22 | George Washington v. Radford +1 | 76-86 | Win | 100 | 1 h 48 m | Show
Colonials are 9-19-1 ATS in their last 29 road games following three or more consecutive home games. The Highlanders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. |

12-04-22 | Stetson v. Florida -18 | 51-89 | Win | 100 | 1 h 31 m | Show
The Gators are scoring 80.0 points per game, which ranks them 59th in the league, and are conceding 71.3 points, which ranks them 241. Their shooting from the perimeter is a solid 36.8% so far whereas the field goal percentage is at an impressive 47.0. The total number of offensive rebounds per game is 34.4 while 30.8 is defensive rebounds. |
|||||||
12-02-22 | Texas-Arlington +19 v. LSU | Top | 59-63 | Win | 100 | 10 h 27 m | Show |
LSU hasn't really played anyone tough this year, but they are 6-1 on the season, so they are winning games they should be winning, for the most part. They somehow are ranked No. 54 by KenPom, which I think is way inflated, considering they have played the 328th easiest non-conference schedule in the country. There are only 360 D1 schools. so LSU has played a really easy schedule. Their one loss was a 61-59 loss at Kansas State as a 2.5-point underdog. |
|||||||
12-02-22 | Kennesaw State +4.5 v. Mercer | Top | 66-63 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
The Owls are led by fourth-year head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim. KSU was picked to finish eighth in the ASUN Conference coaches poll and sixth in the media poll. Kennesaw State is currently 4-3 with wins over LaGrange, Brewton-Parker, Southeastern Louisiana, and Appalachian State. The losses came against Florida, Campbell, and VCU. In the most recent game against VCU, the Owls led for 38 minutes before being outscored by the Rams 14-4 in the final five minutes.KSU returned all five of last year's starters, including Chris Youngblood who was named to the 2022-23 Preseason ASUN All-Conference Team. The Owls also brought in transfer guard Quincy Ademokoya from Temple who has been appearing off the bench so far this season. |

12-01-22 | UCLA v. Stanford +7 | 80-66 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 14 m | Show
No. 21-ranked UCLA opens Pac-12 Conference play in search of its first win away from home this season on Thursday when it travels to face host Stanford at Palo Alto, Calif. The Bruins (5-2) rebounded from a pair of hard-fought losses Nov. 18 and 20 at Las Vegas against Illinois and Baylor, UCLA's only games away from Pauley Pavilion thus far in 2022-23. After coach Mick Cronin criticized the Bruins' defense in the Las Vegas defeats, UCLA responded with inspired defensive performance in blowouts of Pepperdine and Bellarmine. Despite the 2-0 week, UCLA dropped two spots in the rankings. The Bruins held Pepperdine to just 21-of-60 shooting (35 percent) from the floor in a 100-53 rout Nov. 23, then followed it up by forcing 20 turnovers in Sunday's 81-60 defeat of Bellarmine. Jaime Jaquez Jr. contributed to the inspired defensive play against Bellarmine, highlighting his best all-around performance of the season with four steals to complement a season-high 27 points. |

12-01-22 | Utah Tech +19 v. Utah State | 81-86 | Win | 100 | 6 h 56 m | Show

12-01-22 | Ducks +1.5 v. Stars | 0-5 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 8 m | Show
Jason Robertson will try to extend his points streak to 17 games when the Dallas Stars open a five-game homestand against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday. Robertson has 17 goals and 12 assists during the streak, which is second-longest in the Stars and Minnesota North Stars histories. Brian Bellows had a 20-game point streak for the North Stars during the 1985-86 season. "I told him, I've seen the goal-scoring ability, so the shot should impress the (heck) out of me, but it doesn't," Stars coach Peter DeBoer said. "The blocked shot impresses the (heck) out of me." Dallas avoided losing three in a row for the first time this season with a 4-1 win at the St. Louis Blues on Monday, improving to 5-1-3 in its past nine games. Roberston scored a goal to extend his point streak, and Scott Wedgewood came through with 23 saves. Wedgewood was a late substitute for Jake Oettinger, who was unable to play because of an illness. |

12-01-22 | Bills v. Patriots +4 | Top | 24-10 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 31 m | Show |
The most recent time the Bills faced the Patriots, they left little doubt about their status as the pacesetter in the AFC East. Buffalo walked off the field with a 47-17 win in the wild-card round of the playoffs this past January, demoralizing a New England team that was celebrating being back in the postseason after a one-year absence. The Bills (8-3) will look to add to their recent run of success in a rivalry once dominated by the Patriots (6-5) during their latest trip to New England. Buffalo enters Thursday night's matchup the winners of three of the past four regular-season meetings and is in second place in the AFC's only division in which all four teams are above .500. But it has yet to notch a division win with close losses to Miami and the New York Jets. Both setbacks were on the road, a fact not lost on quarterback Josh Allen. |

12-01-22 | Lightning v. Flyers +1.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -128 | 1 h 35 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Lightning were unable to prevent the Boston Bruins from extending their NHL-record season-opening home winning streak in the most recent encounter between the teams. On Thursday, the Lightning will look to stop the Flyers from posting back-to-back wins at home when the teams meet in Philadelphia. Tampa Bay star captain Steven Stamkos recorded his 999th career NHL point by scoring a power-play goal late in the second period of his team's 3-1 setback to the Bruins on Tuesday. Stamkos has collected six goals and eight assists during his eight-game points streak, during which the Lightning have posted a 6-2-0 record. Former Hart Trophy recipient Nikita Kucherov set up Stamkos' team-leading 13th goal of the season on Tuesday to boost his point total to 14 (four goals, 10 assists) during that same eight-game stretch. Kucherov leads the team in both assists (25) and points (35). Tampa Bay was unable to muster anything more than Stamkos' goal on Tuesday, much to the chagrin of coach Jon Cooper. |

12-01-22 | Predators +1.5 v. Devils | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 1 h 33 m | Show
The New Jersey Devils will aim for their fourth straight win and 17th in their past 18 games on Thursday when they host the Nashville Predators in Newark, N.J. The Devils answered the lone misstep in that stretch -- a loss to Toronto on Nov. 23 -- with multi-goal victories over Buffalo, Washington and the New York Rangers. The 5-3 win over the Rangers in the Hudson River Rivalry on Monday allowed New Jersey to conclude November with a 13-1-0 record, with only four teams in NHL history having recorded more victories in a single calendar month. |

12-01-22 | Youngstown State v. Northern Kentucky +1.5 | 73-77 | Win | 100 | 4 h 53 m | Show
Northern Kentucky has been a question mark all season long. I say that to say you never know what team you are going to get on any given night. The Norse have had some tough losses, but their season is highlighted by beating a top 100 Kenpom-rated team in Cincinnati (#73). The Norse are coming off a win over Tennessee Tech and are looking to build on that momentum. |

12-01-22 | Oklahoma State +9.5 v. Connecticut | 64-74 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 32 m | Show
If history does in fact repeat itself, No. 8 UConn will feel pretty good about its long-term goals for the season -- provided it can pick up a win against Oklahoma State on Thursday in Storrs, Conn. The Huskies (8-0) will bid for their ninth consecutive win to open the campaign on Thursday. The last UConn team to accomplish that feat -- the 2013-14 squad -- just so happened to be crowned the national champion when was all said and done. While a potential run that extends past March is still a long way away, the Huskies already have added some hardware to the trophy case after posting a 71-53 win over Iowa State on Sunday to win the Phil Knight Invitational. Donovan Clingan led the way with 15 points and 10 rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench. Tristen Newton added 13 points, while Alex Karaban and Andre Jackson Jr. each supplied 10. Leading scorer Adama Sanogo was held to just four points on 1-of-5 shooting from the floor while dealing with foul trouble |

11-30-22 | Oilers -1.5 v. Blackhawks | 5-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Hungry for a jolt following a stretch of seven losses in 10 games, the Edmonton Oilers think they've rediscovered their spark. Edmonton enters Wednesday's visit to the Chicago Blackhawks with two straight high-drama wins. After rebounding from a 3-0, third-period deficit to top the host New York Rangers on Saturday, the Oilers prevailed 4-3 in overtime on Monday, stunning the visiting Florida Panthers with the tying goal with five seconds to go in regulation before netting the game-winner 22 seconds into overtime. "We haven't had the greatest first quarter ... not where we want to be," Oilers star Connor McDavid said. "We want to go on a run. We have to put a string together." Can the club's recent heroics be a turning point? "Yeah, hopefully," said Leon Draisaitl, who scored the winning goal against Florida. "You've got to work for those bounces, when it seems like it's going your way. They don't just come and fall on your plate. We've put in two pretty solid games here." The outlook is decidedly less sunny for Chicago. The Blackhawks have lost seven straight and nine of 10, with Sunday's 7-2 home loss to Winnipeg tying for the most lopsided result of the current slide. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews challenged the team's preparation following the Winnipeg game, which prompted a players-only meeting before the team spoke with the media. |

11-30-22 | Raptors v. Pelicans +2.5 | 108-126 | Win | 100 | 7 h 7 m | Show
The Toronto Raptors finally got Pascal Siakam back. The New Orleans Pelicans will have to wait a little longer for Brandon Ingram's return as they host the Raptors on Wednesday night. Siakam returned from a 10-game absence due to a strained right adductor to score 18 points and grab 11 rebounds in Toronto's 100-88 home victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. "He was really good," Raptors coach Nick Nurse said of Siakam. "Looked really like he hadn't missed a beat." Toronto did decent during the absence of its leading scorer, splitting the 10 games. Against Cleveland, O.G. Anunoby added 20 points, Gary Trent Jr. scored 14, Fred VanVleet had 13 and Scottie Barnes 11. Siakam made 7 of 14 field goals, including 1 of 3 3-pointers. |

11-30-22 | Heat +9.5 v. Celtics | 121-134 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 40 m | Show
The Boston Celtics can stretch their home winning streak to 10 games when they meet the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. Despite being without injured guard Jaylen Brown (neck stiffness) and center Al Horford (back), the Celtics turned in what may have been their best offensive performance of the season when they beat the depleted Charlotte Hornets 140-105 on Monday night. Charlotte was missing five players because of injuries. Jayson Tatum scored a game-high 35 points for the Celtics, who received 22 points and a career-high 15 assists from point guard Marcus Smart. Teammate Malcolm Brogdon added 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field in nearly 23 minutes of playing time. "This is a treat," Brogdon said. "I think for any NBA player, whether you ask Marcus Smart, Tatum, Brown, anybody. It's a treat playing on a team like this. "I remind the guys of that when times get tough because there's always going to be times during the season where there are lulls, guys getting a little unhappy. It's just the nature of the business. But for me and Blake (Celtics forward Griffin), we've been in situations where a team is not winning, where the team is really struggling and there's chaos. So definitely I try to encourage the guys to be appreciative of what they have here." This will be the second meeting of the season between the teams that met in last season's Eastern Conference finals, won in seven games by the Celtics. Boston recorded a 111-104 road win over the Heat on Oct. 21 behind 29 points from Tatum and 28 from Brown. |

11-30-22 | South Alabama v. Florida Atlantic -5.5 | 59-84 | Win | 100 | 7 h 51 m | Show
Florida Atlantic has enjoyed the start of its season, which includes an upset win over the Florida Gators, the program's first-ever win against their in-state rivals. On Nov. 26 they secured their fifth win in a 73-56 triumph over the Albany Great Danes. The Owls held the Great Danes to 34.5% shooting from the field and outrebounded them 42-32. The stifling defense from Florida Atlantic comes as no surprise, they're ranked in the top 10 of opponents' two-point percentage (40.4%) and in the top 35 of opponents' effective field goal percentage (43.5). While not as elite as South Alabama, they're also good about not giving possessions away, ranked 54th in turnover percentage at 13.9%. |

11-30-22 | Akron v. Marshall -4 | 57-68 | Win | 100 | 7 h 47 m | Show
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles are the only team with a better record than Marshall in the Sun Belt Conference so far this season. They have seemingly turned the corner after finishing last in their group in the Conference USA last year. Marshall was able to beat Morehead State by a score of 83-59. Five players earned at least ten points on the night with Andrew Taylor getting a team-high 19 points. Taevion Kinsey got 15 points in the effort, but he was also the fourth player in school history to reach 2,000 career points. Micah Handlogten grabbed 14 rebounds and scored 14 points in the effort. |

11-29-22 | Clippers +4 v. Blazers | Top | 118-112 | Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show |
With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both ailing, Ivica Zubac took a whirl at being a star attraction and it was one for the memory books. The 25-year-old Zubac will try to follow up the best performance of his career when the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. Zubac played like a man possessed Sunday during a 114-100 home victory over the Indiana Pacers as he scored 31 points and collected a career-best 29 rebounds. The 7-foot Zubac was one board short of having the third 30-point, 30-rebound outing in the NBA in 40 years. Michael Cage was the last Clippers player to grab 30 rebounds in a game, doing so on April 24, 1988, against the Seattle SuperSonics. The only downer for Zubac was fouling out with 3:40 remaining. "I was mad at myself because I wanted to get that 30 and 30 so bad. It hurts," Zubac said afterward. "It's definitely not as happy as I should be. "I was just mad at myself for going for (the blocked shot), but I just can't help myself. Every time I see someone trying to get away, I try to block it." While legendary Wilt Chamberlain used to routinely post 30-30 games during his career, Zubac fell just short of joining Dwight Howard (2018) and Kevin Love (2010) as the only players to do it since Moses Malone in 1982. |

11-29-22 | Warriors v. Mavs +2 | 113-116 | Win | 100 | 4 h 25 m | Show
Seeing the Golden State Warriors might be the inspiration the Dallas Mavericks need to end a four-game losing streak when last year's Western Conference finalists meet for the first time this season on Tuesday night in Dallas. The Mavericks weren't convinced the better team had won after the Warriors took advantage of a cold-shooting Dallas squad to claim a berth in the 2022 NBA Finals with a 4-1 triumph. Golden State outshot the Mavericks 51.8% to 43.7% from the field, allowing the Warriors to overcome nine more turnovers and 14 fewer free-throw points in the series. Since they last met in June, the Mavericks have made the most significant transaction, replacing steady guard Jalen Brunson (lost to the New York Knicks in free agency) with talented big man Christian Wood, who came over from Houston. Wood is tied for second on the team in scoring (17.1) and second in rebounds (7.6) while shooting 56.6 percent overall and 43.9 percent on 3-pointers. Wood had 21 points in Sunday's 124-115 loss at Milwaukee and put up a 26-point, 12-rebound double-double in a defeat four nights earlier at Boston at the start of the Mavericks' three-game trip. Those losses don't sting as much as earlier defeats at the hands of a five-win Houston Rockets club and a Denver Nuggets team missing Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. |

11-29-22 | Knicks v. Pistons +5 | Top | 140-110 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 1 m | Show |
The New York Knicks have reached the 20-game mark and they're not close to living up to their expectations. New York has wallowed in mediocrity, unable to put together a solid stretch of performances. The Knicks have lost four of their last five, dropping to 9-11 as they make a quick visit to Detroit to face the Pistons on Tuesday. "Lot of work to do," Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Just keep concentrating on getting better, improving, and get ready for the next one. Don't look backward, don't look ahead, just look at exactly what's in front of us. That's where I want us to be." The last two losses, both at home, have been particularly excruciating. They lost to Portland 132-129 in overtime, then fell to Memphis 127-123. Jalen Brunson, the pricey free agent signed to get New York back into the postseason, missed two shots in the lane during the closing seconds against Memphis. Those misses came after Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant gave his team the lead with a putback. |

11-29-22 | Charlotte +4.5 v. Davidson | Top | 68-66 | Win | 100 | 4 h 17 m | Show |
The Charlotte 49ers live and die on the defensive end of the court as Charlotte is allowing an average of only 55.0 points per game which is the 11th best in the nation. Charlotte is allowing a field goal shooting percentage of 39.5% and a three-point shooting percentage of 35.6%. The 49ers are averaging 32.1 rebounds per game led by Aly Khalifa with an average of 7.0 boards per contest. Charlotte's defense averages 7.6 steals and 2.9 blocked shots per contest. |

11-29-22 | Jackson State +5 v. Miami-OH | Top | 78-95 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 9 m | Show |
Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight-up loss of more than 20 points, while the RedHawks are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games |

11-28-22 | Rockets v. Nuggets -11 | 113-129 | Win | 100 | 6 h 42 m | Show
Injuries and illness created an opportunity for Vlatko Cancar to show he can make a valuable contribution to the Denver Nuggets. After three years of mop-up minutes, he is showing he belongs in the rotation. Cancar played a total of 25 minutes through the first month of the season, but with several players missing he has been pushed into service. He is averaging 23.4 minutes over the last four games and has made key contributions on both offense and defense. He'll get more quality time when Denver hosts Houston on Monday night in the first of two home games against the Rockets. Michael Porter Jr. (heel) and Jeff Green (knee) are not expected to play. Cancar's expanded role started at Dallas on Nov. 18 when the Nuggets were without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. Denver lost that game by 28 points but beat the Mavericks two nights later, and a big reason was Cancar's halfcourt heave that ended the second quarter. In the last two games he has played 60 minutes, averaging 16 points while playing strong defense. He had three blocks in an overtime win at Oklahoma City on Wednesday and was disruptive in a win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. |

11-28-22 | Steelers +2.5 v. Colts | Top | 24-17 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
Jeff Saturday knows the score. The Indianapolis Colts have lost seven straight to the Pittsburgh Steelers since last winning 14 years ago - when Saturday was still in the prime of his playing career. And if Indy hopes to change anything in this lopsided series, he understands the Colts must be more focused, more precise, and more efficient Monday night. "We talked about just embracing the moment, having fun with it, appreciating it, and then performing at your best when you have these moments and opportunities," he said. "It's a huge challenge, and, obviously, Pittsburgh brings its own set of battles here." For the Colts (4-6-1), winning this one is a must if they hope to revitalize their rapidly fading playoff hopes. They've lost their past two home games - both 17-16 after the defense gave up a touchdown in the final 90 seconds and the offense couldn't move into field-goal position. Another agonizing loss to the Steelers could spell doom again for longtime Colts fans who have seen Pittsburgh repeatedly dash their dreams. |

11-28-22 | Louisiana-Monroe +18.5 v. Tulane | 60-75 | Win | 100 | 6 h 55 m | Show
Louisiana Monroe returns five players who have starting experience but also welcomes eight newcomers, including five transfers. The new players will be asked to invigorate a lineup that couldn't close out games last season. "Over the last couple of years, we've been competitive," ULM coach Keith Richard said. "We've been in almost all the games. In many games we led by six with eight minutes to go, and up four with four minutes to go. In some of those games, we just couldn't hang on. Whether it's the offensive end or the defensive end, we just haven't been a very strong team... I think these newcomers are the answer for us as far as how much better we can be." The new players include 6-10 center Victor Bafutto (Mercer transfer), guard Jamari Blackmon (North Alabama transfer), 6-11 forward AD Diedhiou (UAB transfer), guard Devon Hancock (Milwaukee transfer), and guard Tyreke Locure (UAB transfer). Locus is leading the squad in scoring (13.0 PPG), Blackmon is averaging 10.7 points on 53.2 percent shooting, and Bafutto is contributing 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest. Junior forward Nika Metskhvarishvili (9.8 PPG and 5.8 RPG) and sophomore forward Thomas Howell (8.6 PPG and 6.6 RPG) are two returning starters making key contributions. |

11-28-22 | Dartmouth +2.5 v. Grambling State | 49-73 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 45 m | Show
Junior forward Dusan Neskovic leads the team in scoring and has reached double-digit scoring in four of five games prior to Sunday's game. His best game was a 23-point performance in the season-opener at Fordham. He added six rebounds and two assists in that game. For the season, he is averaging 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He has been red hot from the floor, connecting on 56.5% of his field goals, including 53.3% from the 3-point range. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Mavs +6.5 v. Bucks | Top | 115-124 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 17 m | Show |
Two of the NBA's top MVP candidates will meet when the Dallas Mavericks conclude their three-game trip on Sunday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Dallas has lost three straight despite the play of star Luka Doncic, who leads the league in scoring at 33.4 points per game while averaging 8.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists. Milwaukee, again, is led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 31 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. Antetokounmpo scored 38 points in the Bucks' 117-102 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. Milwaukee trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half before going on a 23-2 run to begin the third quarter. "They turned it up to a level that we haven't seen, that we haven't experienced," said Cleveland star Donovan Mitchell. Jevon Carter scored 18 points and Bobby Portis Jr. had 14 for Milwaukee, which improved to 10-2 at home with the victory. The Bucks offered a reminder of their defensive potential in the dominant third quarter when they outscored the overwhelmed Cavaliers 35-10. |

11-27-22 | Grizzlies v. Knicks +2.5 | Top | 127-123 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
For the New York Knicks, home is not where their defense is. But Madison Square Garden is where the high-powered Memphis Grizzlies will be Sunday night when the Knicks are slated to close out a two-game homestand by hosting the Grizzlies. Both teams were off Saturday after playing at home Friday. The Knicks squandered a 14-point first-half lead and fell to the Portland Trail Blazers, 132-129, in overtime. The Grizzlies never trailed in a 132-111 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Knicks opened their home schedule with a pair of strong defensive efforts in a 130-106 win over the Detroit Pistons and a 115-102 victory over the Orlando Magic. But New York has given up at least 130 points in four of its last six home games after surrendering at least 130 points just three times -- anywhere -- in the first two seasons under defensive-minded head coach Tom Thibodeau. The loss Friday was particularly discouraging for the Knicks, who didn't have to face Trail Blazers superstar guard Damian Lillard (right calf strain) but were victimized instead by the trio of Jerami Grant, Anfernee Simons and Josh Hart. |

11-27-22 | Raiders +3.5 v. Seahawks | Top | 40-34 | Win | 100 | 6 h 32 m | Show |
Las Vegas (3-7) snapped a three-game skid with last week's overtime win at Denver and in the process gave the Seahawks a boost. Every Denver loss improves Seattle's draft position as owners of the Broncos' first-round pick next season. (Denver got Russell Wilson out of that deal, which isn't looking so great for the Broncos.) The Raiders have lost five road games this season, four by one score. "We don't know this team very well, so our team is hard at work in terms of learning the personnel, the scheme, the challenges they present in all three phases," Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said. "And then obviously, going out there and playing in Seattle, it's always a different atmosphere. A very challenging place to play. So, a lot of hard work ahead of us here." |

11-27-22 | Hofstra v. Quinnipiac +3.5 | 72-70 | Win | 100 | 5 h 34 m | Show
The Pride is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight-up win. |

11-27-22 | North Carolina +1 v. Alabama | 101-103 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 17 m | Show
Top-ranked North Carolina began this weekend by squeaking past Portland and losing to Iowa State in its first encounter with a tough defense. Meanwhile, No. 18 Alabama began the weekend by defending well enough to get past Michigan State before being unable to stop the size of 20th-ranked UConn, falling 82-67. Friday's rough showings resulted in both schools taking their first loss and the Tar Heels and Crimson Tide are hoping to avoid a second defeat Sunday when they oppose each other in the third-place game of the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland, Ore. "If we lose to North Carolina, which is obviously very possible -- they're the No. 1 team in the country -- you leave out of here 1-2 and you're not feeling very good about yourself after the win over Michigan State and you're on a two-game losing streak," Alabama coach Nate Oats said. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Blazers v. Nets -8.5 | 97-111 | Win | 100 | 4 h 21 m | Show
The Nets are starting a season-high seven-game homestand after following up a 112-98 win in Toronto with a 128-117 loss at Indiana on Friday. Brooklyn is returning home through Dec. 9 after getting outscored 40-23 in the fourth quarter by the Pacers. The Nets entered the final 12 minutes holding a six-point lead but allowed Indiana to shoot 63 percent (12 of 19) and make 12 of 16 free throws to pull away. Kevin Durant scored 20 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter while Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving, who each scored 20 points combined for three points in the fourth. "It's pretty frustrating," said Simmons, who is averaging 15.5 points in his past six contests. "You've gotta take that next step. It's easy for us to lock in for that first half, three quarters, whatever it is. We've got to learn how to do that the whole game, from the first to the last guy." The Nets are attempting to sweep the season series for the first time since 2012-13. Brooklyn rallied from an 11-point deficit for a 109-107 win in Portland on Nov. 17 when Royce O'Neal hit a putback in the final seconds. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Drexel v. Temple -8 | 61-73 | Win | 100 | 3 h 52 m | Show
Temple is allowing 72.3 points per game and opponents are hitting shots at a rate of 45.6%. Despite not forcing many turnovers, the Owls have great perimeter defense. They are only allowing 16.3 3-point attempts per game and opponents are only knocking down 4.8, shooting less than 30%. Temple is also giving you a defense that simply doesn't commit too many fouls. Over the last four games, Temple's opponents are going to the line about 26% of the time. One of those games included Temple committing several late-game fouls. If we neglect the late-game free throws, that free throw rate drops down to about 20%. |
|||||||
11-27-22 | Bears +6 v. Jets | Top | 10-31 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 17 m | Show |
Mike White's phone rang Tuesday and it was Robert Saleh delivering some big news. The New York Jets coach was making a change at quarterback with Zach Wilson out and White tapped to start Sunday at home against the Chicago Bears. "It lasted all of 30 seconds," Saleh said of the conversation. "I said, `Hi, Mike, how are you doing?' He said, `Good.' I said, `You ready to roll, man?' He said, `Yep,' and I said, `All right, I'll see ya tomorrow.'" And just like that, the biggest decision so far of the playoff-hungry Jets' season was sealed. "Initially, just excited," White said of his reaction. "It's just what every player in this locker room wants is a chance to compete and prove themselves. But more importantly, it's just a chance to be a good teammate and help the team and worry about the team first." The Jets' decision to bench the underachieving Wilson was framed by Saleh as a mental and physical "reset" for the second-year quarterback. New York is also in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt at 6-4, and would be in the postseason right now after New England's loss Thursday night to Minnesota. So this game against the Bears (3-8), who have lost four straight and six of seven, could serve as an opportunity for the Jets to get right after a 10-3 loss at New England last Sunday. But it won't be the spicy quarterback matchup most were expecting when the schedule was announced in May with Wilson, the No. 2 pick last year, taking on the Bears' Justin Fields, who went nine selections later. |

11-27-22 | UC-Davis v. SE Missouri State +4.5 | 73-71 | Win | 100 | 2 h 56 m | Show
The Redhawks are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 neutral site games. |

11-26-22 | Jazz +7.5 v. Suns | Top | 112-113 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
The Utah Jazz snapped a three-game losing streak eight days ago when they edged the Suns in Salt Lake City. The Jazz, losers of six of their past eight games, will hope for the same positive result Saturday night in Phoenix as they find themselves in the midst of another three-game streak. This much is true: Utah will need to shoot a lot better to beat the Suns than it did while losing at Golden State 129-118 on Friday night, following losses to Detroit and the Los Angeles Clippers. Against the Warriors, the Jazz only made 11 of 45 3-pointers. "For the most part, I felt we played the way we wanted to play," Jazz coach Will Hardy said. "When you shoot 25 percent from 3, it puts a lot of pressure on you." Golden State jumped to a 37-23 lead in the first quarter, but the Jazz overcame the early deficit. Sustaining that momentum proved too difficult, however. Utah briefly took a one-point lead in the third quarter, but Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and company made the visitors pay for their off-night from 3-point range. |

11-26-22 | Lakers v. Spurs +3 | Top | 143-138 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
The Los Angeles Lakers will look to sweep a two-games-in-two-night series against the reeling San Antonio Spurs when the teams square off Saturday night in the Alamo City. It will be the third game between the teams over a seven-day stretch, with Los Angeles capturing the first two. The Lakers, buoyed by the continued dominating play of Anthony Davis and the return of LeBron James, did enough to beat San Antonio 105-94 on Friday in the first game of the two-game set. It was the Lakers' first road win of the year after six losses. Davis had 25 points and 15 rebounds in Friday's win, scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter after the Spurs clawed their way back into the game with a rousing third period. James was a force after being out with an adductor strain since Nov. 9, scoring 21 points. He also had nine of the Lakers' 21 turnovers. |

11-26-22 | Iowa State +10 v. TCU | Top | 14-62 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 18 m | Show |
No. 4 TCU looks to keep its undefeated campaign intact and take its next step toward a berth in the College Football Playoff when it hosts struggling Iowa State on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas. The Horned Frogs (11-0, 8-0 Big 12) have already clinched a spot in the league championship game on Dec. 3 in Arlington, Texas, where they will play either No. 12 Kansas State or No. 23 Texas. And while the Big 12 title will be up for grabs in that game, TCU has a bigger goal -- beating Iowa State to remain in the top four of the CFP rankings. How TCU got to this point without a loss is a story in itself, especially in its most recent game. That's when the Horned Frogs needed a fire-drill, last-second field goal from Griffin Kell to beat Baylor 29-28 on the road last Saturday to stay unbeaten. TCU scored the game's final nine points over the last 2:07. Max Duggan completed 24 of 35 passes for 327 yards while leading TCU in rushing with 50 yards on eight carries, including a 7-yard touchdown. Taye Barber had a team-best five receptions for 108 yards, his second 100-yard game of the season and the fourth of his career. |

11-26-22 | Old Dominion +15.5 v. South Alabama | Top | 20-27 | Win | 100 | 1 h 26 m | Show |
The Old Dominion Monarchs (3-8; 4-7 ATS; 2-5 conf.) extended their losing streak to five games last Saturday. Playing as 16-point road underdogs, the Monarchs suffered a 27-14 defeat at the Appalachian State Mountaineers. At least, they covered the spread for the first time since Week 7 and a surprising 49-21 victory at the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. App State outgained Old Dominion 498-394 in total yards, and the Monarchs trailed 27-0 at the end of the third quarter, scoring a couple of consolation touchdowns late in the fourth. Sophomore QB Hayden Wolff completed 22 of his 37 passing attempts for 308 yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore wideout Javon Harvey had four receptions for 133 yards and a pair of scores. Let's take the Monarchs with the big number again. |

11-25-22 | Kings +8 v. Celtics | 104-122 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 13 m | Show
The NBA's two winningest teams in November match up Friday night when the Sacramento Kings visit the Boston Celtics. Nobody has won more often than the Celtics this month, who are 10-2 even after losing their first November game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Boston had a nine-game winning streak snapped Monday at Chicago but rebounded to thump the Dallas Mavericks 125-112 on Wednesday. The Kings are coming off a 115-106 loss at Atlanta on Wednesday that ended a seven-game winning run. They're now 8-3 in November, tied with the Los Angeles Clippers for the second-most wins this month but having played one fewer game. The matchup delivers Kings coach Mike Brown to the site of his championship-clinching win over the Celtics last June as Steve Kerr's assistant with Golden State. The return does not have pleasant memories for most Kings, however, as they were steamrolled by Jayson Tatum (36 points) and Jaylen Brown (30) in a 128-75 shellacking last January. Tatum and Brown also ganged up on the Mavericks this week, with Tatum pouring in 37 points as part of a double-double with 13 rebounds, while Brown knocked down 13 of his 18 shots en route to 31 points. The Kings can expect to see a different look from the Celtics than what they displayed during much of their November run after Derrick White's return to the starting lineup Wednesday. Grant Williams went back to the bench. |

11-25-22 | Wizards +3.5 v. Heat | 107-110 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show
Point guard Kyle Lowry, who played 63 of the Miami Heat's 82 games last season and appeared in just 46 of the Toronto Raptors' contests in a year prior, is suddenly an iron man. At age 36. With the Heat missing several of their top players at various points throughout the first 19 games, Lowry has logged more minutes on the young season than any other player not named Kevin Durant. Lowry, who has yet to miss a single game, is expected to be the Heat's guiding force once again on Friday night when they host the Washington Wizards. Miami beat Washington 113-105 on Wednesday. Lowry scored a season-high 28 points in 35 minutes in that game, while going 7 for 12 from the field, which included sinking 5 of 6 3-pointers. He was also a perfect 9 for 9 from the free-throw line. The Heat played without leading scorer Jimmy Butler (sore right knee), starter Max Strus (right shoulder impingement) and key reserve Duncan Robinson (sprained left ankle). |

11-25-22 | Blazers +3.5 v. Knicks | 132-129 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
The New York Knicks ventured out West to build their most successful road trip in more than eight years. But the tests against teams from the opposite coast will continue during the Knicks' brief stop home. The Knicks will begin a two-game homestand Friday night when they host the Portland Trail Blazers in the first meeting this season between the teams. The Knicks have been off since Monday when they concluded a five-game road trip by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 129-119. The Trail Blazers' slump continued Wednesday when they fell to the host Cleveland Cavaliers 114-96. The win over the Thunder gave the Knicks a 3-2 record on their Western Conference trek. It was the most successful road trip of five games or longer for New York since it went 3-2 on a West Coast swing in March of 2014. The victory provided a double dose of redemption for the Knicks, who were still steaming from a 145-135 loss to the Thunder at home on Nov. 13. The 145 points were the most surrendered by the Knicks under head coach Tom Thibodeau |

11-25-22 | Nebraska +11 v. Iowa | Top | 24-17 | Win | 100 | 5 h 21 m | Show |
Iowa can get Big Ten title shot by beating Nebraska After losing three consecutive conference games, Iowa stands one victory from the Big Ten championship game thanks to a four-game winning streak. Iowa, at one point, was 3-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Then came victories over Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin and Minnesota, pushing the Hawkeyes (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten) in position to play either Ohio State or Michigan in the Big Ten title game. A victory over Nebraska (3-8, 2-6) on Friday at Iowa City, Iowa, will make it happen. "Really happy for our guys," said Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, who was embroiled in criticism after the early struggles this season. "Really happy locker room. That's November football, whatever it takes to get it done." Iowa has won seven straight games against Nebraska, which is likely playing its last game under interim head coach Mickey Joseph. The Cornhuskers lost five consecutive Big Ten games after starting 2-1, including a painful defeat last week. Nebraska was competitive in the 15-14 home loss to Wisconsin but fell short when the Badgers scored on a touchdown run with 35 seconds left. |

11-25-22 | New Mexico +7.5 v. Colorado State | 0-17 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 48 m | Show
The Lobos are coming off a 34-10 loss to San Diego State as 14.5-point underdogs. The Rams are coming off a 24-12 loss to Air Force as 21.5-point underdogs. For UNM, it will be a second straight game with C.J. Montes at the helm at quarterback, UNM’s third starting quarterback of the year. CJ Montes, just a freshman, was solid against San Diego State, going 15-for-23 for 112 yards in the contest on Friday night, and scored his first career touchdown in a 34-10 loss to the Aztecs on a read option in the red zone for UNM. Montes connected on 15/23 with 112 yards passing, a QB rating of 97.4, and one interception, while Nate Jones led the Lobo rushing offense with eight carries and 68 yards, and 8.5 yards per carry. |

11-24-22 | Patriots v. Vikings -2.5 | Top | 26-33 | Win | 100 | 10 h 41 m | Show |
The first regular-season game Kevin O'Connell participated in during his fleeting NFL playing career came in late-game relief for New England in a rare lopsided loss. The Patriots had a bye the following week, and sure enough coach Bill Belichick had them ready for a bounce-back victory. Even after Tom Brady was lost for the year with a knee injury in the opener, the Patriots finished that 2008 season with an 11-5 record. The response to the Week 3 blowout was methodical, not maniacal. The message was about controlling what was in their control and simply letting the rest of it go. "That sticks with me to this very day, just as an example of what it's like to coach in those moments where adversity hits and how you need to be at your best for your team," O'Connell said. The first-year Minnesota Vikings coach has found himself in that very situation this week, following a 40-3 loss to Dallas. The Vikings (8-2) host the Patriots (6-4), still coached by Belichick all these years later, on Thursday night with only four days to regroup. O'Connell, fittingly, will experience one of the biggest tests of his mettle as the boss against a coach who significantly influenced his know-how and perspective. |

11-24-22 | Giants +10.5 v. Cowboys | Top | 20-28 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show |
The Giants just gave up season highs in points and turnovers (three) in a 31-18 loss to Detroit that dropped them into a tie with the Cowboys. Since Dallas won 23-16 at New York in Week 3, the Giants would essentially fall two games behind the defending NFC East champions with another loss to them. This is where the short week could come in handy for New York. It's just the second Thanksgiving meeting out of 122 overall in the storied rivalry. "I think it makes it easier because we have no choice, but to quickly move on to the next opponent," Giants defensive end Leonard Williams said. "Regardless of win or lose, every week we talk about flushing the last game and moving on to the next one." New York quarterback Daniel Jones has four rushing touchdowns, more than in any of his first three seasons. He probably doesn't want to be reminded of one he didn't get last season. |

11-24-22 | Bills v. Lions +9.5 | Top | 28-25 | Win | 100 | 2 h 48 m | Show |
The Buffalo Bills are back in Detroit and this time, they're facing the suddenly surging Lions on Thanksgiving. The NFL shifted Buffalo's previous home game against Cleveland to Ford Field after a winter storm dumped several feet of snow across the Buffalo area. The Bills dug out of their snow-packed home and some needed help from team employees, neighbors and strangers to get out of town before beating the Browns to end a two-game losing streak. Buffalo (7-3) is tied with Miami atop the AFC East and needs another win to keep pace with the Dolphins while holding off New England and the New York Jets, teams in the division that are only one game back. "These short weeks are pretty tough in terms of scheduling and guys trying to get their bodies right to play, but it's tough for them as well," quarterback Josh Allen said. Detroit (4-6) has won three games in a row for the first time in five years and the last such stretch of success was snapped on Thanksgiving, starting a five-game losing streak on the holiday. |
