2026 NFL Handicapping – Las Vegas Raiders vs San Francisco 49ers
Here’s why I’m backing an OVER bet below in my Raiders 49ers free pick & gambling prediction for this matchup.
Raiders vs. 49ers Gameday
The Las Vegas Raiders visit the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Kickoff is at 4:25 PM ET on FOX, with mild weather expected.
Klint Kubiak’s Raiders enter Week 9 at 4-4, including a 3-1 road record. Las Vegas snapped a four-game losing streak against the Jets, although the defense hardly impressed.
The Raiders can move the football, but their defense keeps turning comfortable afternoons into emergencies.
Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers are 6-1 and unbeaten at home. They return from their bye following their first loss against Atlanta.
Kubiak previously worked under Shanahan, while his brother Klay now coordinates San Francisco’s offense. A little family business adds intrigue.
The Raiders return to the Bay Area for their first regular-season game since relocating to Las Vegas.
San Francisco is a legitimate NFC contender, while Las Vegas has struggled with consistency. Both teams have something to prove Sunday.
It’s Week 9, Las Vegas Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers, hopefully we get a great matchup.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers Odds & Previous Games
San Francisco is listed at -498 on the moneyline, with Las Vegas returning +383. The 49ers are laying 10 points at home.
The featured total is 52.5 points, a demanding number against San Francisco’s defense.
Las Vegas defeated the Jets 38-33 in Week 8. The Raiders previously lost to the Rams 35-21, Bills 33-30, Patriots 45-17 and Chiefs 30-27.
San Francisco last played in Week 7, losing 29-20 to Atlanta. Earlier victories came against Washington 23-17, Seattle 32-29, Denver 24-14 and Arizona 36-30.
The 49ers won the last regular-season meeting 37-34 in overtime on January 1, 2023. They also defeated the Raiders 34-3 in 2018.
These rivals have delivered both overtime fireworks and one-sided beatdowns, so history offers no easy script.

The 49ers have the stronger record and home-field advantage. Las Vegas must avoid another defensive collapse.

49ers Stats From Last Week
San Francisco averages 28.1 points and 371.4 offensive yards per game. The 49ers rank fourth in scoring and sixth in total offense.
Defensively, San Francisco allows 19.9 points and 299.3 yards per contest. Its run defense ranks fifth, surrendering 89 yards per game.
Christian McCaffrey has rushed for 389 yards and eight touchdowns. George Kittle has added 425 receiving yards and five scores.
The defense has 15 sacks and allows 210.3 passing yards per game. Nick Bosa returns from knee and calf injuries.
San Francisco’s defense has earned its reputation, and getting Bosa back won’t make life easier for opposing quarterbacks.
McCaffrey practiced fully Friday and carries no injury designation.
Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr. and Christian Kirk are out Sunday, leaving San Francisco thin at receiver.
Demarcus Robinson, Nate Hobbs, Siran Neal and Upton Stout are questionable. Shanahan will need his reserves ready.
Raiders Stats From Last Week
Las Vegas averages 342.4 offensive yards per game, including 265.1 passing yards. The Raiders rank third in passing but 31st in rushing, averaging 77.3 yards.
The offense scores 27.6 points per game, ranking sixth despite its weak rushing attack.
Defensively, Las Vegas allows 28.8 points and 381.9 yards per contest. Opponents average 146.4 rushing yards.
The Raiders have 18 sacks and 13 takeaways. Their plus-five turnover differential has helped offset defensive struggles.
Brock Bowers leads the receivers with 547 yards and five touchdowns. Ashton Jeanty has rushed for 337 yards.
Defensive tackle Thomas Booker is out with an ankle injury. Cornerback Darien Porter is questionable with a groin issue.
Patrick Johnson and Tyler Scott remain on injured reserve.
Las Vegas can move the chains, but its defense must deliver more stops to compete Sunday.
Raiders vs. 49ers QB Matchup
Brock Purdy has thrown for 1,748 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions through seven games. His 69.2% completion rate reflects San Francisco’s passing efficiency.
Shanahan creates favorable passing situations, allowing Purdy to exploit open receivers without forcing difficult throws.
With several receivers unavailable, Purdy may lean more heavily on Kittle and his running backs.
Kirk Cousins has thrown for 2,124 yards, 19 touchdowns and five interceptions through eight games. His production keeps Las Vegas competitive.
Cousins has completed 63.6% of his passes. His limited mobility makes protection essential against San Francisco’s improving defensive front.
The Raiders need Cousins making quick decisions. San Francisco will try disrupting his timing and forcing longer passing situations.

Purdy benefits from an established system and stronger defense. Cousins faces greater pressure to produce because Las Vegas struggles defensively.
Both quarterbacks have shown they can deliver touchdowns, but their assignments differ. Purdy must maintain efficiency while Cousins keeps the Raiders within striking distance.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers bottom line: Purdy has the stronger supporting cast, but Cousins gives Las Vegas enough passing ability to challenge San Francisco.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. San Francisco 49ers Football Betting Trends
- The Raiders have been 6-0 in Over/Under in their last six games as underdogs during the regular season.
- Plus, Las Vegas is 4-0 against the spread after a win in their last four regular season games.
- San Francisco has won 10 out of their last 11 games as favorites in the regular season.
- Also, the 49ers are undefeated at home in their last four regular season games.
- San Francisco has covered the spread in 8 of their last 11 games as favorites during the regular season.
- The 49ers have gone 5-3 in Over/Under as favorites in their last eight regular season games.
Raiders 49ers Free Pick: Over 52.5
Here is my Raiders 49ers free pick: I’m betting Over 52.5. Las Vegas has the passing attack to keep this interesting, but its defense has been handing out points like they’re free samples. That’s not a winning combination, although it gives this total a legitimate shot.
San Francisco should have opportunities to finish drives against a Raiders front that struggles to contain the run. If the 49ers establish a lead, Las Vegas has the quarterback and receiving talent to keep throwing rather than surrendering quietly.
I’m betting on both offenses contributing, not asking the Raiders to suddenly discover a defense.
The concern is San Francisco’s defense shutting down Las Vegas early. At 52.5, one team doing all the scoring isn’t enough, and the 49ers are perfectly capable of making Cousins miserable.
Still, I like the chance of a competitive scoring pace once the Raiders are forced to chase points. San Francisco can do the heavy lifting, with Las Vegas providing the late scoring needed to finish the job. My play is Over 52.5.
