2026 NFL Handicapping – Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks
Here’s why I’m backing an UNDER bet below in my Cardinals Seahawks free pick & gambling prediction for this matchup.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks Gameday
The Arizona Cardinals travel to Lumen Field to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 PM ET on FOX, with cool temperatures and a slight chance of rain in Seattle.
Mike LaFleur’s Cardinals enter Week 9 at 3-5, including a 3-2 record on the road. Arizona comes off a comeback victory over Dallas and is looking to build on one of its better performances.
Arizona has shown some road toughness, but Seattle has owned this rivalry for years.
Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks are 4-4 after falling to Chicago. Seattle has gone 3-2 at Lumen Field, where another divisional victory would help keep the team in the NFC West race.
Neither club has established the consistency expected entering the season. Arizona has struggled defensively, while Seattle has been unable to turn its stronger defensive performances into enough wins.
The Seahawks have dominated recent meetings, and Arizona hasn’t found many answers. Divisional opponents know each other’s tendencies, but knowing what’s coming and stopping it are two different things.
Both coaching staffs face important lineup decisions following a difficult week of injuries. Sunday’s rematch will test their depth as much as their preparation.
It’s Week 9, Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks, hopefully we get a great matchup.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Odds & Previous Games
Seattle opened as a -670 moneyline favorite, with Arizona returning +487. The Seahawks are laying 11.5 points, making them substantial favorites against their division rivals.
The opening total is 41.5 points. That’s a relatively modest number considering the sizable spread, with sportsbooks expecting Seattle to have the advantage.
Arizona defeated Dallas 33-30 in overtime last Sunday after beating the Rams 18-16 earlier in the season.
The Cardinals also lost to Denver 30-16, Detroit 45-21 and the Giants 36-24.
Seattle comes off a 34-17 loss to Chicago. The Seahawks previously fell to Denver 17-14 but defeated Kansas City 20-3 and the Chargers 30-23.
The Seahawks won the first meeting this season 31-7 in Arizona. Seattle controlled that game from the opening quarter and never allowed the Cardinals to establish an offensive rhythm.
Seattle leads the all-time regular-season series 32-22-1. The Seahawks have also won 10 consecutive meetings, making this one of the more lopsided recent rivalries in the division.
The previous matchup at Lumen Field ended in a 16-6 Seattle victory. Arizona needs a considerably better performance to change that history Sunday.

Seahawks Stats From Last Week
Seattle averages 331.9 offensive yards and 23.1 points per game. The Seahawks generate 222.3 passing yards and 109.6 rushing yards per contest.
Defensively, Seattle allows only 19.9 points per game. The Seahawks lead the NFL in total defense, surrendering 250 yards per contest.
The pass defense has been particularly impressive, allowing just 156 yards per game. Seattle also gives up only 94 rushing yards, making sustained drives difficult for opposing offenses.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba leads Seattle with 985 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
His ability to create separation remains a major part of the offense.
The Seahawks have forced 13 turnovers while committing 14. Their minus-one turnover differential reflects some of the inconsistency that has kept them around .500.
Charles Cross and Quenton Nelson are out along the offensive line. Both absences create additional protection concerns for Sunday’s game.
Leonard Williams, Uchenna Nwosu, Brandon Pili and Rashid Shaheed have also been ruled out. Macdonald will need contributions from several reserves against Arizona.
Cardinals Stats From Last Week
Arizona averages 333 offensive yards per game, including 223.8 passing yards. The Cardinals generate 109.3 rushing yards and score 21.9 points per contest.
Defensively, Arizona allows 29.8 points per game, the worst mark in the NFL. Opponents average 342.6 yards against the Cardinals.
The defense has recorded 19 sacks and eight takeaways. Those occasional big plays haven’t been enough to overcome its problems preventing sustained scoring drives.
Tyler Allgeier rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown against Dallas. His performance gave Arizona an important contribution from the backfield during its comeback.
Trey McBride and Michael Wilson provide dependable receiving options. Arizona needs both involved to keep opposing defenses from concentrating entirely on the running game.
James Conner and Kendrick Bourne remain on injured reserve. Left tackle Jayden Williams, guard Jon Gaines II and running back Bam Knight are out Sunday.
Walter Nolen III, Isaiah Adams and Max Melton are questionable. Those injuries leave Arizona facing another difficult test of its depth.
Arizona has enough offensive talent to compete, but its defense can’t keep handing opponents easy scoring opportunities.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks QB Matchup
Drew Lock will start for Seattle with Sam Darnold sidelined by quadriceps and rib injuries. Macdonald is turning to a quarterback who already has experience facing Arizona this season.
Lock threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the September meeting. He completed 19 of 26 attempts and helped Seattle establish control early.
The Seahawks quarterback has been limited in practice by a right elbow injury. He carries no game-status designation and is expected to start.
Arizona counters with Gardner Minshew II, who replaced Jacoby Brissett against Dallas. Minshew completed 17 of 23 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.
LaFleur has named Minshew his starter moving forward. His experience gives Arizona another option after an inconsistent opening stretch.

Lock has shown he can execute Seattle’s offense when called upon, although his limited preparation adds another challenge. Minshew brings a quick release and enough experience to recognize pressure before the pocket collapses.
Seattle needs Lock to make sensible decisions against Arizona’s pass rush.
The Cardinals must give Minshew enough protection to work through his reads rather than forcing hurried throws.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks bottom line: Two replacement starters face defenses capable of creating problems, making protection and decision-making especially important Sunday.

Cardinals Seahawks Free Pick: Under 41.5
Here is my Cardinals Seahawks free pick: I’m taking Under 41.5. Seattle has a big number to cover, but that doesn’t mean the Seahawks need to score 30 points. With their starting quarterback sidelined and the offensive line missing two starters, I’m expecting a more controlled approach.
Arizona’s 4-1 ATS road record tells me the Cardinals have been competitive away from home. If they can keep this within reach, Seattle won’t have the luxury of opening up its offense without consequences.
Seattle can control this game without turning every possession into a touchdown drive.
The danger is Arizona’s defense surrendering easy points, particularly after a turnover gives Seattle a short field. That’s a legitimate concern, and I’m not ignoring it.
Still, I see a game where both coaching staffs have good reasons to avoid unnecessary risks. Make the offenses earn their yards, force some punts and let the clock do its job. I’m backing Under 41.5.
