Here’s why I’m backing the bet below in my Ravens Falcons free pick & gambling prediction for this matchup.
Ravens vs. Falcons Gameday
Two teams with momentum meet on Sunday Night Football. Unfortunately for Baltimore, its franchise quarterback won’t be playing.
The Baltimore Ravens visit the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Kickoff is 8:20 PM ET on NBC and Peacock. Jesse Minter’s Ravens are 3-1, while Kevin Stefanski’s Falcons are 2-2.
Baltimore has won both road games, an encouraging start for Minter. Maintaining that success without Lamar Jackson presents a different challenge.
Baltimore owns the stronger record, but Atlanta gets a wounded opponent in a favorable primetime setting.
Atlanta has won two straight since Michael Penix Jr. returned. Stefanski and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees have finally found some traction, which beats another Monday explaining why the offense couldn’t move the chains.
The Falcons still need their first home victory.
They lost their previous game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The retractable roof should eliminate weather concerns.
It’s Week 5, Baltimore Ravens vs. Atlanta Falcons, hopefully we get a great matchup.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Atlanta Falcons Odds & Last 5
The opening NFL betting odds list Baltimore at +148 and Atlanta at -177. The Falcons are favored by 3.5 points, with the total at 43.5.
Baltimore defeated Tennessee 24-18 last Sunday. The Ravens also beat Dallas 34-31 and Indianapolis 41-23, losing only to New Orleans, 24-17.
Atlanta demolished New Orleans 45-24 in Week 4.
The Falcons previously defeated Green Bay 35-14 after losses to Pittsburgh and Carolina. They’ve scored 80 points across their two victories, quite a turnaround from September.

Falcons Stats From Last Week
Atlanta averages 361 offensive yards per game, ranking 10th in the NFL. Its rushing attack produces 181 yards per contest, giving Stefanski excellent balance.
Bijan Robinson is a major reason.
Robinson rushed for 145 yards and two TD’s against New Orleans. Brian Robinson Jr. added 62 yards and three scores, making life miserable for the Saints’ front seven.
The defensive splits are interesting.
Atlanta allows just 48 rushing yards per game, the league’s best mark. Opponents have enjoyed more success passing, averaging approximately 265 yards.
The Falcons have recorded seven sacks and three takeaways. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich needs better coverage without sacrificing that physical front.
The injury report isn’t particularly friendly.
Jake Matthews is questionable with a groin injury. Za’Darius Smith, Samson Ebukam and Divine Deablo are also questionable, while Yasir Abdullah is out.
A.J. Terrell Jr. remains on injured reserve.
Ravens Stats From Last Week
Baltimore averages 395 offensive yards per game, fifth in the NFL. Its defense allows approximately 315 yards per contest.
Derrick Henry remains the centerpiece.
Henry has rushed for 374 yards and seven TD’s. His power makes him difficult to stop even when defenders know what’s coming.
Zay Flowers has added 352 receiving yards and two TD’s. His ability after the catch gives Baltimore another way to move the chains.
Declan Doyle has generally kept defenses guessing.
The injuries extend beyond quarterback.
Trey Hendrickson is out with a finger injury, weakening Baltimore’s pass rush. Center Cam Jurgens is also unavailable because of a concussion.
Marlon Humphrey and Flowers are questionable. Guard Andrew Vorhees has also been dealing with a foot issue.
Minter’s depth chart is getting an unwelcome workout.
Baltimore has the talent to compete, but injuries on both lines make this road assignment considerably tougher.
Ravens vs. Falcons QB Matchup
Tyler Huntley starts with Lamar Jackson sidelined by a left ankle injury. Jackson had thrown for 967 yards, six TD’s and one interception. Huntley has starting experience. He completed eight of nine passes for 63 yards against Tennessee. His mobility offers flexibility, although Doyle must adjust the offense to his strengths.
Quick decisions will be essential.
Atlanta can pressure quarterbacks in obvious passing situations. Huntley needs protection and manageable third downs rather than desperate throws.
Michael Penix Jr. presents a different challenge.
Penix has thrown for 479 yards, two TD’s and one interception across two appearances. His return has given Atlanta a more aggressive passing attack.
CP Is More Than Just Sports Picks!
“ Anybody can post a prediction. CappersPicks backs up its sports picks with opinionated matchup analysis, experienced handicappers & documented betting performance. Pad that bankroll one day at a time! ”
Penix threw for 223 yards and a TD against New Orleans. His improving timing has allowed Rees to expand the playbook.
Baltimore won’t make those reads easy.
The Ravens can disguise coverage and challenge Penix’s patience. Their defensive experience should still produce difficult looks.
Huntley must recognize Atlanta’s pressure packages while threatening defenses with his legs. A predictable passing attack would let Ulbrich become considerably more aggressive.
Neither quarterback can afford careless decisions. Penix needs to maintain his rhythm against an experienced opponent. Huntley must keep Baltimore functional without Jackson’s explosive playmaking.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Atlanta Falcons bottom line: Penix faces an injury-hit Baltimore defense, while Huntley must deliver a disciplined performance against Atlanta’s physical front.

Ravens Falcons Free Pick: Falcons -3.5
Here is my Ravens Falcons free pick: I’m laying Atlanta Falcons -3.5. Giving up more than a FG isn’t my favorite hobby, but neither is ignoring a home favorite with a genuine opportunity to take control of this matchup.
The hook matters.
Atlanta has covered five of its last eight regular-season games, and the Falcons are 3-2 against the spread following a victory. Those aren’t reasons to mortgage the house, but they support the recent improvement I’m seeing on the field.
I want Atlanta playing from ahead.
When a favorite is laying 3.5, winning the field-position battle isn’t enough. The Falcons need touchdowns instead of settling for three points every time they cross midfield.
That’s where Stefanski earns his paycheck.
I’m backing Atlanta to create enough scoring separation that the hook never becomes the story.
The biggest threat to this ticket is a sloppy second half. Baltimore has enough veteran leadership to hang around, and one careless turnover can turn a comfortable advantage into a fourth-quarter headache. I’ve purchased enough of those headaches over the years.
Atlanta needs to stay aggressive without getting reckless. Establishing a lead, protecting the football and forcing Baltimore to chase the scoreboard would give this wager a much cleaner path. My preferred finish is something around 27-20.
That leaves room for a competitive Sunday night without requiring a last-second miracle.
I’ll take the better opportunity to control the scoreboard and lay the points. NFL free pick is Falcons -3.5.
