Crimson Tide National Championship Odds
Alabama Crimson Tide -6.5
13-1
1st SEC
The Alabama Crimson Tide have become regulars in playing in the last college football game of the season. However, after last year’s semi final exit, they mean all business this season. The Crimson Tide were tripped up by the Ole Miss Rebels early in the season, but really rallied back and shut opponent after opponent down. They eventually beat Florida in the SEC Title game with rather ease to capture another title under Nick Saban.

Alabama had a date with the Michigan State Spartans in the #2 vs. #3 semi final. The game was over before kickoff. Alabama throttled the Spartans 38-0 as they dominated in every way. Now, the Crimson Tide will try to do the same to an even better team in the Clemson Tigers.
Best Defense In The Nation
Alabama’s defense is swarming. They will blitz and be in the back field before the opposition can even run the play.
The Crimson Tide led the nation in nation in fewest points allowed per game at 13.4 and ranked 2nd in the nation in yards per play with just 4.09 allowed.

The defense also led the nation in sacks with 50 and they only allowed 11 touchdowns on 25 red zone trips against.
Wearing The Opponent Down
Alabama has been known to wear the opponent’s defense down. By the time the 2nd half rolls around, they have the defense beaten down.

RB Derrick Henry gets his name called 30 + times per game with a downhill approach. He’ll run right up the middle into opponents. Look for him to wear down a defense that hasn’t been good this season.
Jake Coker Is Ready
The Alabama QB had not what you want to call a break out game in the Cotton Bowl, but he certainly opened some eyes. Derrick Henry gets all the attention when it comes to the Alabama offense, but Coker saw his opportunity when the Spartans stacked the box on Henry.
Coker finished the Cotton Bowl with 25 completions on 30 throws and added 286 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
This will be Coker’s last game at Alabama. Going out in style and with a solid performance is something this senior can certainly do.
Nick Saban
NFL teams are willing to pay up to 10 million dollars for this guy. Honestly, he deserves it.
Saban has won at least 11 games over the past 5 seasons and had 7 wins in the SEC in all 5 seasons. Alabama is also 3-0 in BCS National Championships under Saban.
His adjustments in game and at half time are what makes him so good. He can spot something that isn’t working and fix it on the next play. If something goes wrong on Monday, look for the adjustments to come from the sideline.
Unfinished Business
Beating Alabama is such a giant feat for any team.
Last season Alabama cruised into the playoff, but coughed up a lead against Ohio State. The Crimson Tide were quite shell shocked when they fell to the Buckeyes and it came as a shock to the nation.

Then this season came along and the Crimson Tide were shocked by Ole Miss and everyone had written them off. Alabama rattled off 11 straight wins, including the semi final game, to get back to this spot. They certainly have the mentality that coming up short just isn’t an option. Roll Tide.
