04-17-21 | Blue Jays v. Royals UNDER 7.5 | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 2 h 21 m | Show
Game one of a doubleheader here on Saturday between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Kansas City Royals. The Blue Jays are 6-7 on the season after Friday's loss to the Royals. They will send Dylan Cease to the hill today. Cease has pitched well with a 3.85 ERA over his two starts, but has no record to show for it. The Kansas City Royals are 4-6-1 O/U on the season and today they will send Mike Minor to the hill. Minor is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. Minor is coming off a 4 inning start at the White Sox, allowing just one run over his four innings. I like this game to go UNDER here today, keeping in mind that the game is 7 innings and not nine. |
04-16-21 | Dodgers v. Padres UNDER 8 | 11-6 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 38 m | Show
The NL West showdown we've been waiting for is here as the 11-2 LA Dodgers take on the 9-5 San Diego Padres. Yes, it's early in the season, but this should be an excellent series. Both teams getting excellent pitching as the Dodgers allow just 3.2 rpg and the Padres 2.9 rpg. The Dodgers will start Walker Buehler tonight. He's 1-0 after two starts with a nifty 1.50 ERA and 0.8333 WHIP. The Padres counter with first time starter Ryan Weathers. For me, I'm looking at a pitchers series here and tonight I'll start with the UNDER |
04-16-21 | Indians v. Reds -115 | 3-10 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show
Interleague Rivalry game here as the Reds host the Indians in a battle for Ohio. Both teams with identical 7-5 records, though the Indians come into this game off a win over the White Sox while the Reds dropped two straight to the Giants. Logan Allen starts for the Tribe with a 2.70 ERA after two starts and a 1-1 record. He has just eight KO's over 10 innings with five walks. The Reds start Jeff Hoffman who is 1-1 after two starts with a 3.86 ERA. Looks like a nice rivalry here tonight, but I give the edge to the Reds. Play Cincinnati. |
04-14-21 | Cubs v. Brewers UNDER 7 | 0-7 | Push | 0 | 1 h 55 m | Show
Cubs looking to get back to the .500 mark as they sit at 5-6 on the season after beating the Brewers on Tuesday night. The Cubs offense has been anemic at best, averaging just 2.9 runs per game this season. They will have some help on the mound today as Jake Arrieta toes the rubber. Arrieta is 2-0 on the season with a nifty 2.25 ERA over his 12 innings of work. The 6-5 Brewers will turn to Corbin Burnes who is 0-1 on the season after two starts. Burnes has just a 0.73 ERA. He has worked 12 1/3 innings and allowed just one earned run and two total hits. Two very good pitchers on the hill today and for me, I'm going UNDER. |
04-13-21 | Reds v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | 6-7 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 48 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds off to a good start with a 7-3 record. They are also coming off a win on Monday at San Francisco, 3-0. Luis Castillo makes the start here today for the Reds. Castillo has two starts with a 1-1 record. He had a rough start in game one, going just 3 1/3 innings against the Cardinals and allowing eight runs and eight hits. However, he bounced back nicely against the Pirates, allowing just four hits and no runs over seven innings of work. The Giants are 6-4 on the season and while they average just 3.1 runs per game, they have allowed just 2.9 runs per game. Kevin Gausman will start for the Giants for the third time this year. Gausman has not record, but he has pitched well with a 1.32 ERA over his 13 2/3 innings of work with 11 KO's and just three walks. I like this game to go under with two good pitchers on the hill. Play UNDER. |
04-13-21 | Padres -1.5 v. Pirates | 4-8 | Loss | -135 | 6 h 38 m | Show
The San Diego Padres living up to their preseason hype, winning eight games already this season against just three losses. The Padres have also won four straight games. Their pitching has been outstanding, allowing just 2.3 runs per game this season. The Pirates are not off to a good start, going just 3-7 on the season and coming off a loss. In addition, the pitching staff is allowing 5.5 runs per game while the offense is scoring just 3.6 runs per game. Blake Snell will make his third start for the Padres as he looks for his first win. Snell is pitching great, allowing just two runs over his 9 2/3 innings of work with 16 KO's and just 6 walks this season. Chad Kuhl also makes his third start for the Pirates with a 0-1 record. Kuhl has seven innings of work over two starts with just three hits and five earned runs for a 6.43 ERA. Padres just playing too good to not play them here. Price too high though, so I'll lay the 1.5 runs. Play San Diego -1.5 runs. |
04-13-21 | Red Sox +127 v. Twins | 4-2 | Win | 127 | 1 h 12 m | Show
Red Sox started the season 0-3, but since have been on a six-game winning streak as they now sit at 6-3 on the season. The Twins have lost two straight games to drop to 5-4 on the season. Both teams scoring in bunches with the Sox averaging 6.4 runs per game and the Twins averaging 6.1 rpg. Martin Perez starts today for the Sox. He has no record after one start. Perez went five innings in his first start against the Rays, allowing three runs over five innings. J.A. Happ will start for the Twins. Happ went four innings in his one start vs Detroit, allowing just one run and three hits. Getting the Sox as a nice little dog here. I'll take the dog price with a red-hot Red Sox team. Play Boston. |
04-12-21 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 24 m | Show
Cleveland Indians started slow out of the gate with a 1-3 record. However, four straight wins later and they sit at 5-3 on the season. They have also gone under in six of their eight games thanks to a pitching staff that's allowing just 2.8 runs per game this season. The White Sox dropped to 4-5 after losing on Sunday. They have also been a slight under team with five of their nine games going under. Triston McKenzie will make his first start of the season here for the Indians. The Sox will start Carlos Rodon. Rodon is 1-0 after going five inning against the Mariners in his opening game. He allowed no runs and just two hits over his five innings of work. I like this game to go UNDER tonight. |
04-11-21 | Rockies v. Giants UNDER 8 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
Colorado looks to snap a two-game losing streak here today at the Giants. The Rockies are just 3-6 on the season. They will turn to German Marquez today. Marquez is 0-0 in his two starts, and has a nice 3.60 ERA. He has allowed four total runs over 10 innings of work. The Giants are 5-3 on the season and have won three straight. They have gone under in six of their eight games this season. Anthony Desclafani makes his second start. He went a solid five innings in his first start vs the Padres, allowing four hits and one run. I look for both pitchers to do well here today and these teams to continue to be good under plays. Play UNDER. |
04-11-21 | Red Sox -136 v. Orioles | 14-9 | Win | 100 | 3 h 38 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look to extend their winning streak to five games here on Sunday after taking their game from the Orioles on Saturday, 6-4. The win improved the Sox to 5-3 on the season. Nick Pivetta will make his second start for the Sox. He went a solid five innings in his first start and allowing just two hits and not runs for the win over the Rays. The Orioles dropped to 4-4 after losing their last two games. They will start Jorge Lopez for the second time today. Lopez went 4 2/3 innings in his first start, allowing three hits and four runs in the loss to the Yankees. I'm going to stick with the hot Red Sox here today. Play Boston. |
04-10-21 | Angels v. Blue Jays -110 | 1-15 | Win | 100 | 10 h 19 m | Show
The LA Angels bring a two-game win streak into tonight's game against the Blue Jays. The Angels are now 6-2 on the season and averaging 5.9 rpg this season. The Toronto Blue Jays will try to snap a 4-game losing streak after starting the season 3-1 they are now 3-5. The Angels will start Jose Quintana. Quintana makes his second start after going 3 1/3 innings in his first and allowing five hits and four runs against the Astros. Steven Matz also makes his second start for the Jays. Matz had a nice start in game one, going 6 1/3 innings and allowing just two hits and one run to the Rangers. I'll take Matz and the Jays here to snap their losing streak. |
04-10-21 | Yankees v. Rays +124 | 0-4 | Win | 124 | 2 h 44 m | Show
Both the Yankees and the Rays off to sub-par starts this season as both teams are 3-4 through their first seven games. The Yankees have lost two straight games heading into today. The Yankees will send Domingo German to the hill for the second time this year. German hopes to do better than his first start that went just 3-innings with four hits and three runs in a loss to the Jays. Tampa Bay will send Chris Archer to the hill for the first time this year. Close matchup here, but I'll take the Rays with Archer. |
04-09-21 | A's v. Astros OVER 8.5 | 6-2 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Oakland not happy with their start to the season, winning just one of their first eight games. They have also given up a lot of runs, 7.4 rpg to be exact. Now they face a big hitting Houston team here today that is averaging 7.3 runs per game on offense. Sean Manaea gets his second start of the season. He went 4 2/3 innings in his first start vs the Astros, allowing five runs and two home runs. Lance McCullers Jr gets his second start for the Astros. He beat the A's in game two of the season, going five strong innings, allowing two hits and one run. Astros should get plenty of runs here today as this game goes OVER. |
04-08-21 | Brewers -133 v. Cardinals | 1-3 | Loss | -133 | 4 h 43 m | Show
Milwaukee Brewers are 3-3 to start the season and have won their last two games. They face the St Louis Cardinals who are 4-2 and have won three games in a row. The Brewers will start Corbin Burnes today. Burnes is 0-1 after his first start. He had an excellent game, going 6 1/3 innings against the Twins, allowing just one hit and one run to go with 11 Strike outs. St Louis starts Adam Wainwright. Unlike Burnes, Wainwright did not have a good first start. He went just 2 2/3 innings against the Reds, allowing 7 hits and six runs. Burnes pitched in bad luck in his first start and I'm going to back him here today against the Cards. Play Milwaukee. |
04-07-21 | Dodgers -1.5 v. A's | 3-4 | Loss | -103 | 5 h 50 m | Show
LA Dodgers off to a very good start at 5-1 on the season. Can't say the same for the Oakland A's who are still looking for their first win of the season against six losses. Won't be any easier today for the A's as they face Dodger newcomer Trevor Bauer. Bauer came over from the Reds in the offseason and had an excellent first start for the Dodgers, going 6 1/3 innings with just three hits and four runs to get the win over Colorado. He struck out 10 and walked just two. Jesus Luzardo will try to get the A's in the win column today. Luzardo is 0-1 after one start. He went 5 innings vs the Astros, giving up eight hits and five runs in the loss. I'm going to take the Dodgers here today and lay the run and a half. Play LA -1 1/2 runs. |
04-06-21 | Mets v. Phillies +119 | 8-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 26 m | Show
Mets finally getting to play some games after having to sit through some Covid issues with the Nationals. They have played just one game and that was a loss yesterday to these Phillies, 3-5. Meanwhile, Philadelphia improved to 4-0 this season after their win over the Mets on Sunday. Now today they are a small dog at home against this Mets team that has just the one game played. I'll take the dog line here today. Play Philadelphia. |
04-06-21 | Cardinals v. Marlins -125 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 0 m | Show |
St Louis off to a 2-2 start to their season while the Miami Marlins are 1-3. John Gant will make his first start of the season for the Cardinals. Sandy Alacantara will make his second start for the Marlins. Alacantara had an excellent first start against the Rays back on opening day. He went six innings and allowed just two hits and no runs in a no decision. I like Alacantara again here today. Play Miami. |
04-04-21 | Cardinals -109 v. Reds | 1-12 | Loss | -109 | 2 h 53 m | Show
St Louis and Cincinnati have split the first two games of this series. Carlos Martinez gets the start here today for the redbirds. Jeff Hoffman will counter for the Reds. The Reds took Saturday's contest, 9-6 after losing on Thursday, 6-11. This contest looks to be another high scoring affair, but for me I'm leaning toward the visitor in this one. Play St Louis. |
04-04-21 | Braves v. Phillies +100 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 2 h 47 m | Show
Philly looking for the three-game sweep here today against Atlanta. The Phillies send Zach Eflin to the mound for his first start while the Braves look to get their first win with Ian Anderson on the hill. Philly took the first game back on Thursday, 3-2 and then shutout the Braves on Saturday, 4-0. The Braves offense looks to be a bit behind right now and for me that means I'll take Philly again here today. Play Philadelphia. |
04-03-21 | Braves -112 v. Phillies | 0-4 | Loss | -112 | 5 h 56 m | Show
Both teams had Friday off, but return here today for game two of their series. The Braves tied the scored 2-2 late in game one, but lost in the 10th on a walk off base hit by the Phillies. The National League East champs from last year look to rebound here today at Philly. Braves pitcher Morton had a down year with Tampa Last year so he's looking for some redemption this year. I like the Braves to bounce back here today. Play Atlanta. |
04-02-21 | Rays -105 v. Marlins | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 44 m | Show
A pair of Florida rivals meet here today on the 2nd day of the baseball season as the Tampa Bay Rays take on the Miami Marlins. The Rays will start Ryan Yarbrough. Glasnow got the start yesterday and went a strong six innings and allowed just one hit in the team's win over the Marlins. Yarbrough was 1-4 with a 3.56 ERA in his 11 games from 2020. The Marlins will start Pablo Lopez. Lopez was 6-4 with a 3.61 ERA in his 11 appearances in 2020. Line is basically a picke'm here, but I'll stick with the team from the West Coast. Play the Rays. |
04-01-21 | Rangers v. Royals UNDER 8.5 | 10-14 | Loss | -102 | 4 h 22 m | Show
Kansas City had the best record in the Cactus League of Spring training with a 16-8 mark. They had one of the better run differentials in +24. One big loss though will be that of Adalberto Mondesi, their starting shortstop who will being the season on the IL with a oblique strain. Texas also had a decent spring training with a 14-12 record. They did have a negative run differential though at -6 runs. We can't put a lot of stock in preseason, but I won't be convinced their anemic hitting teams will do much until I see it for myself. I'll take UNDER here to start their season. |
10-27-20 | Rays +130 v. Dodgers | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 4 m | Show |
The Dodgers on the edge of winning their first World Series since 1988. They showed little effects of that horrid loss in game four with a bounce back to take game five and a 3-2 lead. Blake Snell will try to keep the Rays in the series tonight. Snell did well in his start against the Dodgers, going 4 2/3 innings and allowing two hits and two runs. Tony Gonsolin will start here tonight for the Dodgers. Gonsolin started against Snell in their last matchup with Gonsolin going just 1 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and one run. I have a big edge in starters here tonight to the Rays. Yet they are still a dog. I'll take that dog price. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-25-20 | Dodgers v. Rays +150 | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 14 m | Show
What a great game four in the World Series. Back and forth they went with each team taking leads multiple times. Then Jansen came in the 9th with the Dodgers leading 7-6 and of course with two outs and a 1-2 count on Phillips he gave up the hit to tie the game and a subsequent error allowed the winning run to score. Why HC Dave Roberts continues to use Jansen in situations like this I have no idea. With all the young, strong arms he had available he had to go to Jansen. Well, it cost you Dave and maybe the World Series and possibly your job if you lose. For me, this was a huge let down for the Dodgers and that might just carry over to today's game. The Rays have their ace in Glasnow going and Kershaw has been excellent, but it is the playoffs. I'm taking the nice dog price with the Rays who should be pumped up here today. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-24-20 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Rays | 7-8 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 3 m | Show
The Dodgers have been flexing their offensive muscles in this series. Mookie Betts is paying dividends in his first year as he continues to be Mr Everything for the Dodgers. LA can take a 3-1 lead in the series with a win tonight. The Rays offensive struggles continued again last night. They did break out in game two with a big night, but that has been far and few between for the Rays. The Dodgers pitching staff has been just as good if not better than the Rays. I don't see the Rays being able to keep these Dodgers bats down. I'm going to lay the Run Line here tonight with the Dodgers. |
10-24-20 | Dodgers v. Rays OVER 8 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show
The Dodgers have been flexing their offensive muscles in this series. I'm going to take the OVER here tonight. |
10-23-20 | Dodgers v. Rays +146 | 6-2 | Loss | -100 | 29 h 53 m | Show
The Rays tied up the series on Wednesday with a 8-3 win over the Dodgers. Their bats finally came alive, especially that of Lowe. Lowe was their best hitter during the regular season, but has had a horrible post season. He finally broke on in game two with a pair of home runs. In fact, all the bats have improved for the Rays. The Dodgers went the bullpen way, starting Gonsolin as he went just over one inning and then turned the game over to the pen who could not hold the Rays down. Dodgers Ace Walker Beuhler will start here on Friday. Beuhler got the big win over the Braves in the NLCS, going six strong innings and allowing no runs and no walks. Charlie Morton will toe the rubber for the Rays. Morton has won all three of his postseason starts, allowing just two runs over his 15 2/3 innings. I'm sticking with the live dog here in game three. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-21-20 | Rays +124 v. Dodgers | 6-4 | Win | 124 | 8 h 26 m | Show
Game 2 of the World Series here on Wednesday. Game 1 looked to be a great pitcher's duel early between Glasnow and Kershaw. Both pitchers were cruising along until the 4th when the Dodgers got on the board with a 2-run home run. Then in the 5th the Dodgers broke it open and never looked back in their 8-3 win. Tonight, the Rays start Blake Snell. Snell lost to the Astros in the ALCS, allowing two runs and three hits over his four innings. Snell has an overall 3.23 ERA on the season. The Dodgers will start Tony Gonsolin. Gonsolin was hit hard by the Braves in the NLCS, giving up five runs over 4 1/3 innings. That's now nine runs he's allowed over his last 10 1/3 innings. Almost a must game here tonight for the Rays. I'll take the dog price again and look for a better outcome tonight. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-20-20 | Rays +165 v. Dodgers | Top | 3-8 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 60 m | Show |
The LA Dodgers pulled the big upset in the NLCS after being down 1-3 to pull out the next three wins and advance to the World Series. The Tampa Bay Rays also had something similar happen when they blew a 3-1 lead to the Astros, but held on for the win in game seven. Tyler Glasnow gets the start here in game one. Glasnow was 7-2 on the season with a 4.23 ERA. He lost to the Astros in the ALCS, allowing eight hits over six innings to go with four runs. The Dodgers will start Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw lost to the Braves in the NLCS, going just five innings and allowing seven hits and four runs. Kershaw was battling back problems and had is start pushed back a few days. The Rays have excellent starting pitching and in game one I look for a upset winner on the Rays. Play Tampa Bay |
10-18-20 | Braves +147 v. Dodgers | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 50 m | Show
Dodgers were down 1-3 in this series with the Braves, but have clawed their way back to tie it up and force a game seven. The Astros did the same to the Rays, but just couldn't overcome the deficit as today's winner fill face Tampa Bay in the World Series. Ian Anderson goes for the Braves. I really like this pitcher. He's only 3-2, but he has an ERA of just 1.95 and a WHIP of 1.08. Anderson faced the Dodgers back in game two, going four strong innings and allowing no runs and just one hit. Only problem was he walked five batters, something he can ill afford to do here today. The Dodgers have yet to announce a starter, but it looks like they will go the same route as they did in game two and start a reliever in Gonsolin. Either way, I like Anderson as a dog and that's who I'm taking no matter who the Dodgers start. Play ATLANTA. |
10-16-20 | Astros v. Rays UNDER 8 | 7-4 | Loss | -112 | 19 h 56 m | Show
If you have watched this series then you have seen some excellent pitching. Both teams have excellent starters and very strong pens with big arms. But one thing that the hitters didn't want to contend with are the horrible shadows that PetCo Park in San Diego causes just at these times of the day. With this game starting in the afternoon, they will once again have to deal with those horrific shadows that make those hard throwers even more difficult to pick up. For that reason plus the excellent staffs, I'm sticking with the under here on Friday. Play UNDER. |
10-14-20 | Rays -137 v. Astros | 3-4 | Loss | -137 | 19 h 30 m | Show
Errors and lack of clutch hitting have really hurt the Houston Astros in this series. The Astros are down 0-3 to the Tampa Bay Rays after another error filled third game, especially by 2B Altuve who opened the door for big innings in these games. Altuve looks to have taken a page out of the Steve Saks playbook all of a sudden and can't make routine throws. In addition, the Astros have left 31 runners on base through the first three games of this series. The pitching has just been superb for the Rays. They allowed the Astros one run in game one, then two runs in game two and another two in game three. The Astros face game one starter Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow only went 2 1/3 innings in game one, but allowed no hits and no runs to the Astros. It was thought Zack Grienke would miss this series with a sore arm, but he's received extra time off and looks ready to go here tonight. Grienke gave up four runs and five hits in his postseason start vs the A's. Just too much on the side of the Rays as I look for the sweep here on Wednesday. Play Tampa Bay Rays. |
10-14-20 | Dodgers v. Braves OVER 9.5 | 15-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Dodgers are already in the position of a "must win" game here on Wednesday as they trail the Atlanta Braves 0-2. The Dodgers fell behind 0-6 in Tuesday's game and rallied late to a 7-8 loss with the tying run on third base. Clayton Kershaw was supposed to start that game two, but back spasms had him replaced. The Dodgers can ill afford to fall back to 0-3 and as such they will be counting on Julio Urias here today. Urias has been very good of late, allowing no earned runs over his last two starts with just four hits. Moreover, Urias hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his last five starts. Kyle Wright will start for the Braves. Wright is just 2-4 on the season with a 5.21 ERA. Wright has pitched better of late, allowing just two runs over his last three starts. Two very good offenses here tonight as I look for this one to go OVER the total. |
10-13-20 | Braves +158 v. Dodgers | 8-7 | Win | 158 | 6 h 53 m | Show
This NLCS looks to be dominated by pitching and that's just what we got in game one as the teams were tied 1-1 late into the game until the Braves finally broke out with a 3-1 win to take a 1-0 series lead. Tonight Jim loves the dog in this game because of their starting pitcher. Ian Anderson gets the start for the Braves with a 5-2 record in his eight starts. Anderson has a great 1.43 ERA and 0.977 WHIP. Anderson has not allowed an earned run over his last three starts (17 1/3 innings. Still, he's a big dog tonight because he's facing veteran Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw is 8-2 on the season with a 2.12 ERA and 0.816 WHIP. Kershaw did allow three earned runs over six innings to the Padres in the NLDS. Really, Anderson has outpitched Kershaw this season and I'll take the big dog price here tonight. Play Atlanta. |
10-12-20 | Astros v. Rays -123 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 34 m | Show
The Rays took a 1-0 lead in this best of seven series with a 2-1 win in game one on Sunday. This looks to be a very tight pitching series and that's just what we say in game one. The Astros will start Lance McCullers here today. McCullers is 3-3 in his 12 starts with a 4.27 ERA and 1.237 WHIP. McCullers got hit fairly hard vs Oakland in the ALDS, giving up four earned runs over four innings. Prior to that start he had allowed no runs over his previous three starts (17 2/3 innings). Charlie Morton will get the nod for the Rays. Morton was 3-2 on the season with a 4.40 ERA. Morton beat the Yankees in the ALDS, allowing just four hits over five runs with one earned run. Morton has been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in each of his nine starts. I'm taking the Rays again here in game two as I believe their pitching is just better overall. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-09-20 | Yankees v. Rays +144 | 1-2 | Win | 144 | 15 h 27 m | Show
The Yankees forced a fifth and decisive game here today with the Rays with the winner moving on to the ALCS. The Yankees won game four, 5-1 and have scored at least four run in every game of the series. Gerrit Cole gets another start in this series. Cole got the win in game one, going six innings and allowing six hits and three earned runs. The three runs were the most he's allowed since August 31st. Tyler Glasnow went five innings in game one, allowing four runs on three hits. The Yankee bats aren't as hot as they were in the Wild Card round and the first few games of this series. This game will likely be settled by the bullpens and for me, that's an edge to the Rays. It's just a plus that I get the Rays as a dog here today. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-08-20 | A's v. Astros OVER 9.5 | 6-11 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
Game four here as the A's looked to stave off elimination in game three trailing 0-2 to the Astros. The A's won 9-7 in another wild shootout at Dodger Stadium. Dodger Stadium has long been known as a pitcher park, but not now. It has the highest runs in the postseason and every game thus far has been high scoring in this series. The A's likely without closer Liam Hendricks today as he had to go three innings in their win on Wednesday. Zack Greinke will go tonight after he was thought to miss the series with a sore arm. Helps our case for the total even more tonight as it looks like Greinke won't be 100%. The pitching staff will be thin for the Astros here on Thursday. Looks like another hitters game from the Launching pad on Thursday. With pitching being thin on both sides I expect another high scoring game here today. Play OVER. |
10-07-20 | Rays v. Yankees OVER 9 | 8-4 | Win | 102 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Yankees are healthy for the first time all season and it's showed with their bats. The Yankees have scored at least five runs in each of their playoff games. In fact, during their series with the Indians they score 22 runs in two games. And that's against one of the better pitching staffs this year in baseball. They opened with a 9-3 win over the Rays in game one of this series and then lost yesterday in game two, 5-7. Yet, we see just a total of nine on tonight's contest. Charlie Morton has a 4.74 ERA for the Rays this year. Masahiro Tanaka has just a 4.33 ERA for the Yankees. I don't see this game going any other way than OVER. |
10-06-20 | Yankees v. Rays -120 | Top | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 20 h 13 m | Show |
The New York Yankees are healthy for the first time all season and it's showed here in the playoffs as their bats have been on fire. The TB Rays kept them down most of the night on Monday as the score was 4-3 Yankees heading into the top of the 9th. However, the Yankees bats once again exploded in the 9th for five runs. The Yankees take a 1-0 lead in this best of five series. The Rays can ill afford to go down 0-2 in this series and will turn to Tyler Glasngow in game two. Glasnow was 5-1 for the Rays this year with a 4.08 ERA. Glasnow has not allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last three starts. The Yankees Deivi Garcia will toe the rubber on Tuesday. Garcia was 3-2 this year with a 4.98 ERA. Garcia hasn't pitched that well of late, allowing 10 earned runs over his last 9 2/3 innings. This is the spot for the Rays to take a win against a Yankee pitcher in Garcia that has struggled of late. No love lost between these teams so the Rays would love nothing more than to run up the score. Play Tampa Bay. |
10-06-20 | Astros v. A's -110 | 5-2 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 40 m | Show
Dodger Stadium is usually a pitcher friendly park, but it wasn't so on Monday as these teams used it as a launching pad as the Astros took game one of this best of five series, 10-5. Game two here on Tuesday has Framber Valdez making the start for the Astros. Valdez was 5-3 on the season with a 3.57 ERA. Valdez has won four straight games and has allowed just two earned runs over his last three starts. Sean Manaea will oppose for the A's. Manaea was 4-3 on the season with a 4.50 ERA. Manaea has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last seven starts. A's need this game today or fall down 0-2 in a best of five series. I'm taking the A's in this one. Play Oakland. |
10-06-20 | Marlins +182 v. Braves | 5-9 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 11 m | Show
The Miami Marlins are 7-0 in their playoff history winning series. They have their work cut out for them in this series thought against the Atlanta Braves as they begin their best of five in the NLDS. The Braves are led by their pitching, which was on display in the Wild Card round vs the Reds as they swept Cincy 2-0 and didn't allow a single run in 22 innings. The Marlins followed a similar script, allowing just one run in their sweep the Chicago Cubs. Braves Ace Max Fried will start game one here today. Fried is 7-0 on the season with a 2.25 ERA. He went seven innings vs the Reds and allowed six hits and no runs in the win. The fish will start Sandy Alcantara, who was 3-2 this season with a 3.00 ERA. Alcantara went 6 2/3 vs the Cubs and allowed just one run and three hits. Should be a series dominated by pitching, but I'm taking a chance here with the high dog price on a very good Marlins team. Play Miami. |
10-05-20 | Astros v. A's UNDER 8 | 10-5 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 12 m | Show
The ALDS begins here on Monday with the Astros facing the A's. This series will be in Dodgers Stadium in LA with the winning moving on to the AL Championship Series. Both teams won their Wildcard round best of three and now this is best of five before moving into best of seven for the ALCS. Lance McCullers will start for the Astros. McCullers was 3-3 on the season with a 3.93 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. McCullers has lost his last four games, though he's allowed just three earned runs over 17.2 innings. Chris Bassitt will start for the A's. Bassitt was 5-2 on the season with a 2.29 ERA. Bassitt has won five straight games and has allowed just two earned runs over his last 33.2 innings. Should be a very good pitchers duel. I'm taking the UNDER. |
10-02-20 | Cardinals v. Padres OVER 9 | 0-4 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 4 m | Show
Game three of this series and it's all tied up at 1-1 as the winner of tonight's contest will move on to the next round of the playoffs. The Cardinals took game one and looked in control of game two. But a rally by the Padres saved the day and they get to play again. The Cards will send Jack Flaherty to the hill today. Flaherty is 4-3 in his nine starts with a 4.91 ERA. However, he's been horrible on the road, posting a 9.45 ERA in his four games. Adrian Morejon will start for the Padres with a 0-1 record in his four starts with a 4.82 ERA. Neither pitcher will likely be around long, especially Morejon who likely will go only an inning or two. For me, I love this game to go over the total. Play OVER. |
10-01-20 | White Sox v. A's -101 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 48 m | Show
Final game of this series as the White Sox took game one and the A's rebounded in game two, 5-3. No day off here as the teams come right back on Thursday for the third and final game of this series. The A's might be without their closer in Hendricks who had to go last night to preserve the win. Hendricks doesn't usually go in back-to-back games, but he might be forced to here today. Dane Dunning will go for the Sox with a 2-0 record and 3.97 ERA on the season. He will be opposed by Mike Fiers who is 6-3 with a 4.58 ERA. Tough game here today, but I give the edge to Fiers who has been winning games all season. The A's might not need their closer in this one if they blow them out. Take the A's |
10-01-20 | White Sox v. A's OVER 8.5 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 47 m | Show
Final game of this series as the White Sox took game one and the A's rebounded in game two, 5-3. Take the OVER. |
09-30-20 | Yankees -116 v. Indians | 10-9 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
This best of 3 series could be the end today for the Cleveland Indians if they can't find a way to slow down this Yankees lineup. The Yankees led the AL in runs and they proved it to the Indians in game 1 with 12 runs in the AL Wild card series. Masahiro Tanaka will start for the Yankees today. Tanaka was 3-3 in his 10 starts with a 3.56 ERA. The Indians will send Carlos Carrasco to the hill. Carrasco was 3-4 in his 12 regular season starts with a 2.91 ERA. Carrasco will have his hands full with this Yankees lineup today. I'm going to stick with the hot bats and those are the Yankees. Play New York. |
09-30-20 | White Sox v. A's UNDER 7.5 | 3-5 | Loss | -115 | 14 h 24 m | Show
The White Sox took game one of this series with the Oakland A's on Tuesday, 4-1. That takes a lot of pressure off the Sox here today as they send lefty Dallas Keuchel to the hill. Keuchel was 6-2 in his 11 starts this season with a nifty 1.99 ERA and 1.090 WHIP. Keuchel finished strong, allowing just two total runs over his last four starts (20 innings). The A's will try to even this series with righty Chris Bassitt. Bassitt was 5-2 in his 11 starts with a 2.29 ERA and 1.159 WHIP. Bassitt was equally strong down the stretch, allowing just one earned run over his last 26 1/3 innings. This will be another great pitcher's duel today and for me, I'll take the UNDER and enjoy the low scoring affair. Play UNDER. |
09-30-20 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 22 m | Show
The Houston Astros took game one of this playoff series with the favored Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, 4-1. The game was tied in the 9th inning before the Astros got a bases loaded 2-out walk and a 2-out single to push across three runs and steal game one. The Astros will send Lance McCullers to the hill. McCullers is 3-3 in his 11 starts with a 3.93 ERA. However, he's had some excellent starts of late. In two of his last four starts he's allowed no runs. The Twins turn to Jose Berrios. Berrios is 5-4 in his 12 starts with a 4.00 ERA. Berrios wasn't great his last start, allowing four runs over five innings. However, before that he allowed 5 total runs over four starts (22 innings). This series looks to be a very tight, close and low scoring one. I'm taking UNDER here in game two. |
09-30-20 | Reds v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 21 m | Show
The earliest game here on Wednesday's Playoffs will have the Cincinnati Reds playing at the Atlanta Braves. The Reds finished the regular season in 3rd place in the NL Central with a 31-29 record. The Atlanta Braves were 1st in the NL East with a 35-25 record. Treor Bauer will go here for the Reds. Bauer was 5-4 in his 11 starts, but had a very good 1.73 ERA and 0.795 WHIP that really warranted a better overall record. Bauer didn't allow more than two runs in any of his last five starts. Max Fried was the Ace for the Braves and rightly so. Fried was a perfect 7-0 in his 11 starts with a 2.25 ERA. Fried was so consistent that he allowed more than two runs just one time in 11 starts and that was only three runs. Don't expect the Reds to get much here today, they need Bauer to keep pace. With that, this is an UNDER play for me. |
09-29-20 | Yankees v. Indians -104 | 12-3 | Loss | -104 | 20 h 40 m | Show
The Yankees and Indians start their playoff series here today. Gerrit Cole starts for the Yankees and he finished the season great with a 7-3 record and 2.84 ERA. Cole allowed just two runs over his last three starts (21 innings). Shane Bieber was equally as good for the Tribe with a 8-1 record and 1.63 ERA in his 12 starts. Bieber allowed 1 run or fewer in five of his last eight starts. Both these pitchers have been excellent, but for me I'm going with Bieber who has been much more consistent. I'll take Bieber at this great price. |
09-29-20 | Astros v. Twins -157 | 4-1 | Loss | -157 | 15 h 39 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins won the AL Central, barely getting by both the White Sox and the Indians who each finished one game back. The Houston Astros won one of the Wild Card games as they finished 2nd in the AL West, seven games back of the A's. The Astros didn't even finish at .500 with a 29-31 record. Meanwhile, the Twins finished 12 games over the .500 mark. Zack Greinke will start for the Astros with a 4.03 ERA and a 3-3 record. He will face Kenta Maeda for the Twins who was 6-1 in his 11 starts with a 2.70 ERA and 0.750 WHIP. Maeda was consistent all season, allowing three runs or fewer in every start. I like the Twins in this opening game. Play Minnesota. |
09-25-20 | Astros -1.5 v. Rangers | 4-5 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Houston needs today's game to help them gain one of those Wild Card spots and this Texas team is standing in their way. Texas has made no bones about it, they will do their best to stop them here tonight. Didn't work out too well for them yesterday as the Astros destroyed the Rangers. I look for a duplicate of last night's contest as the Astros look to take control of that final Wild Card slot. Lay the 1.5 runs with the Astros. |
09-24-20 | Astros v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 12-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
The Houston Astros could miss the playoffs with their 28-28 record. They won't catch the A's for first place as they trail by 6 1/2 games in the AL West. They trail Toronto for the final playoff spot by one game. It doesn't help that they are just 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Rangers are in last in the AL West and just playing out the final week. Cristian Javier starts for the Astros with a 4-2 record and 3.55 ERA. Lance Lynn had an excellent season for the Rangers as he makes one of his final starts. Lynn is 6-2 in his 12 starts with a 2.53 ERA. Both pitchers are above average and neither team has been providing much offense of late. I'm taking the UNDER here today. |
09-24-20 | White Sox v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 25 m | Show
White Sox and Indians both have clinched playoff spots as we enter the last week before the postseason. However, while both hold Wildcard spots right now, they are still within 2 1/2 games of 1st place Minnesota for first place. Dallas Keuchel will start today for the White Sox. Keuchel is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 2.04 ERA and 1.099 WHIP. Keuchel has been great lately, allowing no earned runs over his last three starts (14 innings). Zach Plesac toes the rubber today for the Tribe. Plesac is 4-2 with a 1.85 ERA and 0.781 WHIP. Aside from one bad start, Plesac has allowed one or no runs in four of his last five starts. Two excellent pitchers here today and for me that's an UNDER. |
09-22-20 | Rays -125 v. Mets | 2-5 | Loss | -125 | 6 h 54 m | Show
Tampa Bay and the Yankees have both clinched playoff spots. The Rays look to hold onto the top spot as they have a 4.5 game lead in the AL East over the Yankees. Both teams have been hot with the Rays winning seven of their last 10 and the Yankees winning eight of their last 10. Blake Snell goes today for the Rays. Snell is 4-1 in his 10 starts with a 3.05 ERA. Snell has allowed just one run over his last 10 2/3 innings. Seth Lugo will toe the rubber for the Yankees. Lugo is 1-1 in his five starts with a 5.30 ERA and 1.500 WHIP. Lugo has been hit rather hard of late, allowing nine runs over his last 7 innings of work. I like the visitor in this one. Take the Rays. |
09-21-20 | Cubs -150 v. Pirates | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show
Cubs looking to clinch a playoff spot this week as they are in 1st place in the NL Central with a 31-22 record. They have a 3 1/2 game lead over the Cardinals. Jon Lester will start today for the Cubs. Lester is 2-2 on the season with a 4.91 ERA. Lester has pitched well of late, allowing two runs over his last 11 innings with 9 KO's and 3 Walks. The Pirates have lost four straight and nine of their last 10 games. J.T Brubaker will start for the Pirates. Brubaker is 1-2 with a 5.58 ERA and 1.500 WHIP. Brubaker has allowed eight runs over his last 10 1/3 innings. Cubs should have no trouble today with the Bucs as they close in on clinching that playoff spot. Play the Cubs. |
09-21-20 | Brewers +115 v. Reds | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 22 m | Show
These two teams are still in the race for a playoff spot, but only one could likely get the spot. The Reds are in 3rd in the NL Central and the Brewers are in 4th, one game back in the loss column to the Reds. The Brewers start Brandon Woodruff today with a 2-4 record and 3.45 ERA. Woodruff has allowed just three runs over his last 14 innings with 17 KO's and no walks. Luis Castillo will toe the rubber for the Reds today with a 3-5 record and 3.19 ERA. Castillo has also been very good of late, allowing just one run over his last 16 innings with 16 KO's and four walks. Both these pitchers are on hot streaks and for me that means an UNDER here today. |
09-21-20 | Brewers v. Reds UNDER 7.5 | 3-6 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 14 m | Show
These two teams are still in the race for a playoff spot, but only one could likely get the spot. |
09-20-20 | Twins v. Cubs -147 | 4-0 | Loss | -147 | 8 h 1 m | Show
Despite their 31-21 record and 1st place in the AL Central, the Chicago Cubs have not yet clinched a playoff spot. The Cubs have won seven of their last 10 games and lead second place St Louis by 4 1/2 games. The Twins have clinched a playoff spot with their 32-22 record. Yu Darvish is having a great season, something we can't say for a number of years now. Darvish is 7-2 in his 10 starts with a 2.00 ERA and 0.937 WHIP. Darvish has yet to allow over three runs in any of his 10 starts. Jose Berrios has had an up and down season with his 4-3 record and 4.15 ERA. Berriors goes through stretched of excellent starts then has a letdown for a few starts. For me, Darvish has been consistent all season and he's the one I'm backing here on Sunday. Play the CUBS. |
09-20-20 | Royals +134 v. Brewers | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 3 m | Show
The Royals won't make the postseason with just a 21-31 record, but that hasn't put any quit into them. The Royals have won seven of their last 10 games. The Brewers have had a disappointing season at just 25-26. They have won three straight and six of 10. Brad Keller starts for the Royals with a 4-2 record and very nice 2.06 ERA. Keller is off a rare 9 inning complete game where he allowed no runs to the Pirates. Josh Lindblom will start for the Brewers with a 1-3 record in eight starts and a 5.55 ERA. Getting the Royals and Keller as a dog here today is too good to pass on. I'm taking the ROYALS. |
09-20-20 | White Sox v. Reds -125 | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 2 h 2 m | Show
A number of teams have already clinched playoff spots and the White Sox are one of them. The Sox hold first place in the AL Central with a 34-18 record, three games ahead of 2nd place Minnesota. The Sox have won eight of their last 10 games. The Cincinnati Reds are 26-27 and in 3rd place in the NL Central. The Reds have been hot too, winning seven of their last 10 games. The Sox will start Dylan Cease here today who is 5-2 on the season with a 3.20 ERA. Michael Lorenzen will go for the Reds. Lorenzen has just one start but it was a good one, going five innings vs the Pirates and allowing just one run on four hits with no walks. I'm going to try Lorenzen out here today. Take the Reds. |
09-19-20 | White Sox v. Reds UNDER 8 | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
The AL Central leading Chicago White Sox have won seven of their last 10 games as they continue to be one of the surprise teams of 2020. The Sox are now 33-18 and have already secured a playoff spot. The Cincinnati Reds are 26-26 as we head down the final stretch of the regular season. The Reds have won six straight and eight of 10 games. Dallas Keuchel will start for the Sox with a 6-2 record in nine games. Keuchel has an impressive 2.19 ERA and has allowed NO runs over his last 10 innings. Trevor Bauer will toe the rubber for the Reds. Bauer is 4-3 on the season with a 1.71 ERA and 0.810 WHIP. Bauer has allowed just two runs over his last 20 innings. Two excellent pitchers here today will have me on the UNDER. |
09-18-20 | Twins v. Cubs -119 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins dropped back to three-games back in the AL Central behind the Chicago White Sox. The Chicago Cubs are in first place in the NL Central, 5 1/2 games ahead of the Reds and six games ahead of the Cardinals. The Cubs have won four straight games and seven of the last 10. Rich Hill starts for the Twins today. Hill is 2-1 in his six games with a 3.81 ERA and 1.346 WHIP. Kyle Hendricks is 5-4 in his 10 starts with a 3.29 ERA and 1.051 WHIP. Hendricks has put together three excellent starts in a row, allowing a total of four runs over 21 2/3 innings with 17 KO's and just two walks. |
09-18-20 | Indians -1.5 v. Tigers | 1-0 | Loss | -135 | 8 h 42 m | Show
Cleveland has fallen back to six games behind AL Central leader White Sox. The Indians beat Detroit soundly yesterday, but it was only their second win in their last 10 games. The Tigers are 11 1/2 games back in the Central division and have lost two straight games and seven of their last 10. Zach Plesac starts for the Tribe with a 3-2 record and 2.20 ERA. Plesac has had an excellent season though he is coming off his worst start, allowing five runs over seven innings to the Twins. Michael Fulmer starts for the Tigers with an 0-2 record and 9.27 ERA and 2.149 WHIP. Fulmer has allowed nine runs over his last 5 innings. Big difference in starters here tonight. I'm going to lay the RUN LINE with the visitors in this one. Play Cleveland -1.5 runs. |
09-16-20 | Twins v. White Sox -144 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -144 | 6 h 30 m | Show |
Big matchup here in the AL Central between the 1st place Chicago White Sox and the 2nd place Minnesota Twins. The Sox have won six in a row and nine of their last 10 games while the Twins have lost two in a row. The Twins will start Jake Odorizzi who is not having a good season. Odorizzi has a 0-1 record in three starts with a 8.10 ERA and 1.60 WHIP. Lucas Giolito will go for the Sox and he has a 4-2 record in his 10 games with a 3.43 ERA. Giolito has won five straight games. I like the White Sox here tonight. Play Chicago. |
09-12-20 | Indians -113 v. Twins | Top | 4-8 | Loss | -113 | 19 h 6 m | Show |
The Minnesota Twins have won eight of their last 10 games, yet they still trail first place Chicago White Sox by one game. The Cleveland Indians have lost four straight games and dropped 2 1/2 back in the AL Central. Zach Plesac starts today for the Tribe. Plesac is 3-1 in his five starts with a 1.32 ERA and 0.735 WHIP. Plesac has allowed either no runs or one run in four of his five starts. Rich Hill starts for the Twins. Hill is 1-1 in his five starts with a 3.86 ERA and 1.381 WHIP. Hill has pitched well enough, allowing more than two runs in a game just once in his five starts. I like the Indians to snap their four game losing streak here today. Play Cleveland. |
09-12-20 | Orioles +167 v. Yankees | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 3 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles have not played badly this year considering they are usually huge dogs in games. In fact, I don't know of any other team in baseball that has won more games as a +1.50 dog than the O's have. They have lost three straight though as they enter Saturday's game at the Yankees. Dean Kremer will start only his second game of the year for the O's. Kremer pitched well in his other start, going six innings vs these Yankees and allowing just one run in a win as a +1.80 dog. Now he gets to face them again here today. The Yankees will send Jordan Montgomery to the hill today. Montgomery is 2-2 in his seven starts with a 5.72 ERA and 1.411 WHIP. For the price, lots of value here today with the Orioles. I'll take a shot with them. Play Baltimore. |
09-11-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 7 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Cleveland and Minnesota had been battling for first place in the AL Central until the White Sox passed both by to take over the division lead. Now the Twins are one game back and the Indians are 1 1/2 games back for a three-team race in the division. The Indians start their Ace today in Shane Bieber. Bieber is having a Cy Young type year with a 7-0 record in his nine starts with a 1.25 ERA and 0.850 WHIP. Bieber has allowe no runs in five of his starts this year. Kenta Maeda came over from the Dodgers in the off season and is doing quite well for the Twins. Maeda is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 2.77 ERA and 0.719 WHIP. Maeda has yet to allow more than three runs in any start. For me, runs will be at a high premium in this game. I'm taking the UNDER. |
09-11-20 | Reds v. Cardinals +106 | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 43 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals have moved to within three games of first place in the NL Central with their 19-18 record. The Cincinnati Reds are 19-25 and in fourth place. The Cards start one time Ace Luis Castillo. While Castillo is only 1-5 on the season, his ERA is 4.15 with a 1.477 WHIP. The team has also won just two of his eight starts this season. Meanwhile Adam Wainwright has been excellent for the Red birds with his 4-0 record in his six starts. Wainwright has a nifty 2.68 ERA and 0.917 WHIP. Big difference in starters in this one, yet the Cards are a slight dog. I believe the Cardinals should be the favorite here, but I'll take the small dog price. Play St Louis. |

09-10-20 | Astros v. A's -141 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 44 m | Show
Astros and A's fighting for the AL West top spot in the division. The A's holding fast to that 5 1/2 game lead means the Astros need to cut into that here today. They will try with Jose Urquidy who has just one start under his belt this year and that was a 3 2/3 outing where he allowed four hits and two runs. The A's counter with Sean Manaea who is 3-2 in his eight starts with a 5.09 ERA. Manaea has been very good of late though, allowing just one earned run in each of his last three outings (15 innings). I like the A's here today to increase their lead. Take Oakland. |
09-09-20 | Brewers v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 19-0 | Loss | -106 | 1 h 4 m | Show
Milwaukee Brewers looking to get back to the .500 mark as they sit at 18-22 on the season. They have lost three straight games. The Detroit Tigers are 19-21 on the season and sitting in 4th place in the AL Central. The Brewers will start Corbin Burnes. Burnes is 2-0 in his five starts with a 1.75 ERA and 1.0013 WHIP. He's allowed just one run over his last 12 innings with 17 KO's. The Tigers counter with Matt Boyd. Boyd is only 1-5 on the season with a 6.64 ERA. However, he's pitched much better of late, allowing just five total runs over his last 17 1/3 innings with 20 KO's and just one walk. I like this game to be low scoring today. Play UNDER. |
09-08-20 | White Sox -125 v. Pirates | 4-5 | Loss | -125 | 7 h 22 m | Show
The White Sox continue to be the surprise team this year in baseball as they are now 26-15 and have won four straight games and seven of their last 10. The Sox have received great pitching out of today's starter, Dylan Cease. Cease is 5-2 in his eight starts with a 3.29 ERA. The Pirates would like to forget 2020 and especially this season on the diamond. The Bucs are in last place in the NL Central with a 13-26 record. They did win yesterday though over the Reds, 3-2. Joe Musgrove looking for his first win as he starts his fifth game today. Musgrove is 0-4 with a 6.62 ERA. I am sticking with the team that has done well for me all season. Take the White Sox. |
09-08-20 | Yankees v. Blue Jays -111 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 54 m | Show
The Blue Jays came from way back in Monday's game vs the Yankees to pull out the win, their second in a row and sixth in their last 10. The Struggling Yankees have fallen to third in the AL East after losing their fourth game in a row and seventh of their last 10games. The Yankees send J.A. Happ to the hill today. Happ is 1-1 in his five starts with a 4.68 ERA. Taijuan Walker will toe the rubber for the Jays here today. Walker is 3-2 in his seven starts with a 3.26 ERA. Walker has allowed just two runs over his last 11 2/3 innings. I like the Jays here again today against the reeling Yankees. Play Blue Jays. |
09-07-20 | Yankees v. Blue Jays -125 | 7-12 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays square off here on Monday. The Blue Jays will be sending pitcher flast year Ryu who's having an excellent season thus far at three and one on the season. Ryu has an ERA of just 2.93 and whip of 1.116. The Yankees will counter with Montgomery who is two and two in his starts this year. Montgomery has a 5.76 ERA and a 1.279 whip. For me i'm sticking with the Home team and this one and the better pitcher. Take the Blue Jays. |
09-07-20 | Royals v. Indians UNDER 8.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
Two very good pitchers match up in this game today for Kansas City and Cleveland. The Kansas City Royals will start Keller who is four and one in his starts this year with a 1.93 ERA and a 1.036 whip. On the other side please Plesac will start for Cleveland. Plesac is two and one while the team is two and two in his starts. Plesac has a 1.33 ERA. In addition Plesac has a excellent 0.667 whip. I like thiis Game to go under the total. |
09-07-20 | Rangers v. Mariners -150 | 4-8 | Win | 100 | 7 h 57 m | Show
The Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers finish their four game set here on holiday Monday. The Rangers will send Allard to the hill on Monday. Allard is zero and four and his starts and the team is two and four and his starts having lost his last four. Allard has a 5.40 ERA and a 1.280 whip. The Mariners will send Gonzalez to the mound. Gonzalez is four and two this season and the team has won his last two starts. Gonzalez has a nifty 3.09 ERA and 0.916 whip. The Mariners playing well, I like them here on Monday. Take the home team and play the Seattle mariners. |
09-06-20 | Rangers v. Mariners -121 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show
The Texas Rangers are last in the AL West with a 13-25 record. They have lost four straight and eight of their last 10 games. The Rangers look to get back to winning today as they start Jordan Lyles. Lyles is 1-3 on the season in his five starts, with a lofty 10.08 ERA and 2.015 WHIP. Lyles has allowed 14 runs over his last eight innings of work. The Mariners have moved into 3rd in the AL West thanks to a four game win streak and seven wins in their last 10 games. The M's will send Justin Dunn to the hill. Dunn has a 2-1 record in his six starts with a 4.33 ERA. Dunn is coming off back-to-back quality starts where he has alloed no runs over 12 innings. I like the host here in this one today. Play Seatte. |
09-06-20 | Padres v. A's -103 | 5-3 | Loss | -103 | 5 h 47 m | Show
The Padres bolstered their starting rotation by picking up Clevinger from the Indians. The Padres have moved into 2nd place in the NL West behind the Dodgers, six games back. The Padres having a nice season at 24-17 and while Clevinger won't start today but they will go with Garrett Richards. Richards is 1-2 in his eight starts with a 4.63 ERA. Richards is coming off his best start where he allowed no runs to the Rockies and one hit in a limited 3 2/3 performance. Despite seven starts, Richards has not gone past four innings in his last three starts. The A's are in 1st place in the AL West with a 23-13 record, 3 1/2 games ahead of the Astros. Michael Fiers starts today with a 4-1 record in his seven starts with a 4.86 ERA. Fiers coming off a six inning outing vs the Rangers where he allowed no earned runs. I am a bit surprised the A's are not laying any money here today. I'll take that. Play the Athletics. |
09-06-20 | Diamondbacks v. Giants -132 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 43 m | Show
The two bottom dwellars in the NL West face off again here today with the Giants taking Friday's contest. The Giants are 5-5 in their last 10 games and in 4th in the West. The last place D'backs are 15-25 and have lost eight of their last 10 games. The D'backs start Alex Young who is 0-2 in his four starts with a 4.42 ERA. He will face Johnny Cueto today who is 2-0 in his eight starts. Cueto has a 4.75 ERA and is coming off a nice start against these same D'backs where he held them to three hits and one run over 6 2/3 innings. I like the Giants here today. The D'backs are just playing about as bad as any team in baseball right now. Play San Francisco. |
09-05-20 | Diamondbacks v. Giants -114 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 20 h 4 m | Show
The two worst teams in the NL West meet here on Saturday evening as the Giants host the Diamondbacks. The Giants are in 4th place in the West with a 18-20 record. The D'backs are in last place with a 14-24 record and have lost five of the last six nine of the last 11 games. The D'backs will start Ex-Giant Madison Bumgarner. Bumgarner is not having a good season with a 0-3 record in four starts with a 9.35 ERA. Bumgarner has allowed 13 earned runs over his last 6 2/3 innings. Trevor Cahill will start for the Giants. Cahill has no record in his four starts, but does have a nifty 2.51 ERA and 1.117 WHIP. Cahill has not allowed more than two runs in any of his starts. I like the host in this one tonight. Play the Giants. |
09-03-20 | Blue Jays -117 v. Red Sox | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show
AL East contest here today has 3rd place Toronto Blue Jays taking on the last place Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox have now lost three in a row and seven of their last 10 games. The Red Sox pitching has been terrible, in fact they have allowed more runs (232) than any team in baseball. Martin Perez will try to do better today for the Sox. Perez is 2-4 in his seven starts with a 4.58 ERA and a 1.273 WHIP. Perez had been pitching well until his last start where he allowed six runs over four inning vs the Nationals. Taijuan Walker starts for the Jays today. Walker is 3-2 in his six starts. Walker has a 3.27 ERA and has allowed just three runs over his last three starts (19 innings). I like the Jays again here today. The Sox have something wrong and look to already have given up. Take Toronto. |
09-02-20 | Braves -140 v. Red Sox | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
he Red Sox continue to sit in last place in the AL East with a 12-24 record. They have lost two straight and six of their last 10. Martin Perez starts today. Perez is 2-4 in his seven starts with a 4.58 ERA and 1.273 WHIP. Perez coming off a horrible start, allowing eight hits and six runs over four innings. Meanwhile, the Braves are in 1st place with a 21-14 record. They have won three straight and seven of their last 10 games. Robbie Erlin starts for the Braves with no record in his three starts. ERlin has a 4.50 ERA and nice 0.917 WHIP. He's pitched well, though he only goes about four innings. Still, the Braves much better than the Sox right now. I'll take the Braves here on Wednesday. |
09-01-20 | White Sox -102 v. Twins | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
The White Sox are one of the surprising teams thus far this year as they are now first in the AL Central with a 22-13 record and have won eight of the last 10 games. The White Sox have bolstered the starting pitching and today's starter is an example. Dallas Keuchel starts with a 5-2 record in his seven starts. Keuchel has a nifty 2.70 ERA with a 1.039 WHIP. Keuchel has not allowed more than two runs but one time in his seven starts. Michael Pineda makes his first start of the season here tonight for the Twins. Not sure how Pineda will do tonight, but I do like Keuchel in this one. Play the White Sox. |
08-31-20 | Braves -1.5 v. Red Sox | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show
The Atlanta Braves are in 1st place in the NL East with a 19-14 record. The Braves have won six of their last 10 and are the only team in the East with a positive run differential. The Red Sox are in last in the AL East with a 12-22 record. They have won two straight though. They will have contend with one of the best pitchers in baseball this year. Max Fried starts for the Braves and he's having a great season. Fried is 5-0 in his seven starts with a 1.35 ERA and 0.950 WHIP. Fried has allowed just four runs over his last six starts! The Sox will start Colten Brewer. Brewer has three starts and is 0-2 with a 5.22 ERA. Big edge in both quality of team and starters here today goes to the Braves. I'll lay the run line with the Braves. Take Atlanta -1.5 Runs. |
08-30-20 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Rangers | Top | 7-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 40 m | Show |
The LA Dodgers rebounded from their loss to the Rangers on Friday with a win on Saturday to improve to 25-10 on the season and the most wins in baseball. The Dodgers have been very good away from home with a 14-5 record on the season. LA starts Tony Gonsolin today. Gonsolin has no record in his three starts but has just one start in his three outings. He hasn't allowed a run yet with 14 2/3 innings of wok and no runs with 12 KO's and just two walks. The Rangers are third in the AL West with a 12-20 record and have lost eight of their last 10 games. Kyle Gibson starts today with a 1-3 record in his six starts. Gibson has a 5.73 ERA and 1.485 WHIP this season. He's been bad lately, allowing 12 runs over his las 11 1/3 innings. Dodgers hard to go against, but also hard to lay the big prices. So I'm going to lay the Run Line here with LA on Sunday. Take Dodgers -1.5 Runs. |
08-29-20 | Nationals v. Red Sox OVER 11 | 3-5 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 40 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox continue to occupy the bottom rung in the AL East at 10-22. They have lost two straight and six of their last 10 games. They will host the Washington Nationals here on Saturday. The Nats are also in last place, in the NL East. The defending Champions are just 12-17 so far this season. The Nats will start Anibal Sanchez today. Sanchez is 1-3 with a 6.489 ERA this season. Sanchez is coming off his best start of the season with a seven inning outing vs the Marlins with just five hits and one run. The Red Sox will counter with Chris Mazza. Mazza makes his second start of the season. His first wasn't that good, going just three innings vs the Yankees and allowing eight hit and four run. I like the visitor in this one, Sanchez can build off that last excellent start. Play Washington. |
08-29-20 | Dodgers v. Rangers +140 | 7-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 14 m | Show
The Rangers pulled a big upset on Friday as they beat the Dodgers, 6-2. The Rangers are in 3rd in the AL West with a 12-19 record and have lost eight of their last 10. That make it even more impressive in their win over arguably the best team right now in baseball in the Dodgers. LA is 24-10 in the NL West and have son seven of their last 10 games. They will send Ross Stripling to the hill today. Stripling is 3-1 in his six starts with a somewhat high 5.46 ERA. Lance Lynn toes the rubber for the Dodgers. Lynn is 4-0 in his seven starts with a 1.59 ERA. Yet, we get Lynn as a home dog here on Saturday. Worth another shot with the Rangers best pitcher on the hill. Take Texas. |
08-29-20 | Braves v. Phillies OVER 10 | 1-4 | Loss | -122 | 1 h 34 m | Show
Early start here on Saturday has the Braves taking on the Phillies. Atlanta is in first place in the NL East with a 18-13 record. They have won seven of their last 10 games. The Phillies are 4th in the East with a 13-14 record and have won four in a row. Josh Tomlin starts his third game for the Braves today. Tomlin is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA. He will face Zach Eflin today. Eflin is 1-1 with a 5.12 ERA. Neither pitcher is very good and both teams can hit. I'll take the OVER. |
08-28-20 | Indians -126 v. Cardinals | Top | 14-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
The Cleveland Indians are just a half game out of first place in the AL Central as they open this series with the St Louis Cardinals. The Cards are in 2nd place in the NL Central with a 11-11 record, 3-games back of the Cubs. The Indians start Triston McKenzie here today who has one start this season where he went six innings vs the Tigers and allowed just two hits and one run. The Cards will start Daniel Poncedeleon who is 0-2 in his three starts with a 5.40 ERA and 1.542 WHIP. I'm taking the visitor in this one. Play Cleveland. |
08-26-20 | A's -135 v. Rangers | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
The Oakland A's are in first place in the AL West with a 21-10 record and four games ahead of the Houston Astros. The A's beat the Rangers on Tuesday and have won six of their last 10. The Rangers are 11-18 and in fourth in the West. They have lost nine of their last 10 games. The A's start Michael Fiers who is 3-1 in his six starts. Fiers has a 5.81 ERA and 1.548 WHIP. Fiers has been decent of late, allowing five total runs over his last 11 1/3 innings. The Rangers counter with Kolby Allard. Allard is 0-2 in his four starts with a 7.81 ERA and 1.815 WHIP. Allard had started the season good with back-to-back good starts. However, his last two starts have resulted in 10 runs over 3 2/3 innings. I like the A's against the ice cold Rangers here tonight. Play Oakland. |
08-26-20 | Yankees v. Braves -112 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 46 m | Show
The Yankees start Masahiro Tanaka who is 0-1 in his four starts with a 4.59 ERA. Tanaka is coming off a horrible start where he allowed eight hit and five runs over four innings. The Braves start Max Fried who is 4-0 in his six starts with a 1.32 ERA and 0.971 ERA. Fried has been exceptional for the Braves. We get a great price here with the Braves and their best pitcher on the hill today. Play the Braves. |
08-25-20 | Dodgers v. Giants +188 | 8-10 | Win | 188 | 4 h 30 m | Show
The LA Dodgers have the best record in baseball at 22-8. They lead 2nd place San Diego by 4-games and have won four straight and nine of their last 10. They take on the 14-16 Giants here tonight from San Francisco. Anytime these hated rivals get together you can throw out the records. LA will start Julio Urias who is 2-0 in his five starts with a 2.74 ERA. Johnny Cueto starts for the Giants. Cueto is 2-0 in his six starts with a 4.35 ERA. Huge dog here tonight on the Giants and considering they love nothing more than to beat the Dodgers, I'll take a chance on this dog tonight. Play San Francisco. |
08-25-20 | Twins v. Indians -1.5 | 2-4 | Win | 125 | 2 h 55 m | Show
Important series here for both teams as the top two teams in the AL Central face off. Minnesota leads the division over Cleveland by two games. Both teams have been on good runs, winning seven of their last 10 games. The Twins will start Rich Hill today. Hill is 1-1 in his two starts with a 4.69 ERA. The Indians will start Shane Bieber who is a leading candidate for a Cy Young at this point. Bieber is 5-0 in his six starts with a 1.11 ERA and 0.762 WHIP. I like the Indians here in this game but will also lay the Run Line with them. Play Cleveland -1.5 Runs. |
08-25-20 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays -125 | 9-7 | Loss | -125 | 1 h 21 m | Show
AL East matchup here as the resurgent Blue Jays take on the reeling Red Sox. Toronto has won seven of their last 10 games and climbed into third place, just 3 1/2 games back of the division leading Rays. The Red Sox continue to flounder, losing two straight and seven of the last 10. The Sox will start Kyle Hart today. Hart is 0-1 in his two starts with a 11.11 ERA. Hart hasn't made it past the fourth inning yet. Chase Anderson will toe the rubber for the Jays. Anderson has no record in his three starts, but has a nifty 2.79 ERA and 1.344 WHIP. I'm going to take the Jays as these teams going in opposite directions. Play Toronto. |
08-24-20 | Royals +171 v. Cardinals | Top | 3-9 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 59 m | Show |
The KC Royals are in dead last in the AL Central division. They have lost two straight games and six of their last 10. The good news is that they start one of their bright spots so far this season in Brad Keller. Keller is 3-0 in his three starts with a 0.00 ERA and 0.905 WHIP. That's right, he has not allowed a run to go with his eight total hits over 17 2/3 innings. The Royals will be a big dog here on Monday despite Keller starting. The Cardinals are in 2nd place in the AL Central but are just one game over .500 at 9-8. Jack Flaherty will start for the Redbirds. He is 1-0 in his two starts with a 3.11 ERA. I like dogs and especially with a pitcher as good right now as Keller is. I'll take the Royals here on Monday. |
08-24-20 | A's v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 20 h 49 m | Show
The Oakland A's are 1st in the AL West with a 20-9 record. Their 20 wins are most in the AL so far and second in baseball to the 22 by the Dodgers. The A's will start Jesus Luzardo today. Luzardo is 2-0 in his four starts with a 3.54 ERA and 1.377 WHIP. He's coming off his best outing, a 6 1/3 inning showcase against Arizona where he allowed four hits and no runs. Lanc Lynn will counter for the Rangers. Lynn is 3-0 in his six starts with a 1.37 ERA and 0.814 WHIP. Lynn has no allowed more than two runs in any of his six starts this season. Another great pitching matchup and that means UNDER for me. |
08-24-20 | Twins v. Indians UNDER 9 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 54 m | Show
AL Central showdown here as the Twins lead the division by 1 1/2 games over the Indians. Both teams have had great success so far this season. Both teams have also won seven of their last 10 games. Despite a couple of bad innings over the weekend given up to the Tigers, the Indians still have allowed the fewest runs in the league with just 84. No other AL team has allowed less than 100 thus far. The Twins are second best in the AL in runs allowed with 100 even allowed. The Twins start Kenta Maeda on Monday, who came over in the offseason from the Dodgers. Maeda has proven very effective for the Twins, posting a 3-0 record in five starts with a 2.27 ERA and very low 0.632 WHIP. He's struck out 27 and walked just five this season. The Tribe will counter with Aaron Civale. Civale is 3-2 in his five starts with a 2.91 ERA and 0.971 WHIP. Both these starters have been very good and I will go UNDER in today's contest. |
08-23-20 | White Sox +165 v. Cubs | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 36 m | Show
The White Sox look to continue their hot streak here Sunday against their intercity rivals, the Cubs. The Sox have now won seven straight games and eight of 10 to climb into third place in the AL Central, just one game back of division leading Minnesota. The Cubs are still in first place in the NL Central, despite losing seven of their last 10 games. The Central has become the weakest division in baseball, with the Cubs the only team above the .500 mark. Yu Darvish starts for the Cubs today. He's 4-1 in his five starts with a 1.80 ERA and 0.900 WHIP. Darvish has been a bright spot after some less than stellar seasons recently. The Sox will counter with Dylan Cease. Cease is 4-1 in his five starts with a 3.16 ERA and 1.346 WHIP. Cease has been very good for the Sox. No way the Sox should be such a big dog here today. They are red-hot and Cease is just as good as Darvish. I see lots of value here in the dog. Play the White Sox. |
08-22-20 | Rockies v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The Lakers flexed their muscles in game two of their series with the Blazers. After losing game one in bad fashion they rebounded with a resounding shutdown of the high scoring Portland offense, winning game two easily. The Lakers look to continue that here in game three. The Blazers realize that they need to play more of an uptempo game against the Lakers. The Blazers are led by Damian Lillard, who has been unstopable up until game two of this series. Problem for Blazers is that he hurt his index finger in game two, dislocating the finger. He will be playing today in game three, but how will this effect his play? Lilliard had only 18-points before leaving in the 3rd quarter with his injury. For me, even with a healthy Lilliard the Lakers have found out how to shut down this offense of the Blazers. Number a bit high for me here today, so I will go with the UNDER. |
08-22-20 | Blue Jays -115 v. Rays | 1-2 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 53 m | Show
Toronto is moving up in the AL East standings, now into 3rd place with a 13-11 record. The Jays went from being below .500 to now two games above thanks to a 6-game win streak. The Jays will start Hyun-Jin Ryu who they acquired from the Dodgers in the offseason. Ryu has been solid for the Jays with a 2-1 record in five starts and a 3.46 ERA and 1.115 WHIP. Ryu has allowed just two earned runs over his last 12 innings of work with 10 KO's and two walks. Meanwhile, the Rays are tied for first in the AL East with the Yankees at 17-10. The Rays have won eight of 10 but saw their streak ended by the Jays on Friday. Aaron Slegers makes his first appearance of the season here today. I know what I'm getting with the Jays and Ryu here today. I'll take the visitor in this one. Play Toronto. |
