In this Week 1 contest, it’ll be important for Marcus Mariota to get off to a good start considering his touchdown/turnover ratio was unfavorable last season. But there’s good news here for Titans fans.
Tennessee will have the edge in both the running game and the defensive game.
No, that may not translate to quarterback success on the surface. But if the run game can open up opportunities for Mariota, only good things can happen.
The fact that he’ll have an opportunity to thrive against a defense that could struggle? That’s an added bonus that the Titans should look to exploit once the run game gets going.

Miami had an odd season in 2017. The Jay Cutler experiment was one that had folks excited—everyone except Jay Cutler, that is.

The Dolphins don’t exactly have momentum on their side here, having closed out last season just 2-6.
This may be the year Miami goes into full tank mode (probably a year too late), and we may see the early returns on that “effort” in Week 1 against Tennessee.
