After the weirdest off-season probably ever, the NFL is back and the last game of the week will see the Tennessee Titans take on the Denver Broncos in the second half of the Monday Night Football doubleheader.
Denver is looking to build upon their young roster, while the Titans will want to repeat last season where they made a decent run in the 2019-2020 playoffs.
The Broncos were just 7-9 a year ago, while the Titans were 9-7 and made an appearance in the AFC Championship.
The Titans are obviously looking to take their season one step further as they just came up short against the eventual Super Bowl Champions last postseason. Tennessee averaged 25.1 points per game last season, ranking 10th in the NFL.
Led by Ryan Tannehill, who threw for 2,742 yards, 22 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
What was more impressive was Derrick Henry. He led the NFL in rushing, racking up 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. He led them to the third best rushing attack, averaging 138.9 rushing yards per game.
The Titans defense was also part of their success last season, allowing about 20.7 points per game. This was a modest 12th in the league. Though their defense let them down in the AFC Championship, so they will want to fix that here with a strong performance against the Broncos
Most of Tennessee’s success is no doubt going to come on the ground. The difference will be whether or not Tannehill can take care of the football and manage the game effectively.
The Broncos were not as successful last season, but finished 2nd in the AL West with their 7-9 record.
They were ranked 28th in scoring offense, averaging 17.6 points per game. Flacco had been their quarterback, but it looks like Drew Lock will now be set to take over that role. Lock started 5 games in 2019 and managed to throw for 1,020 yards with 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
They were 20th in rushing yards per game, averaging 103.9 yards per game on the ground. Phillip Lindsey led the rushing attack, picking up 1,011 yards on the season with 7 touchdowns.
Defensively the Broncos have really fallen off since their Super Bowl win several years ago. They were 10th in the NFL in points allowed, giving up 19.8 points per game.
Even though that is actually pretty good, their lack of offense means they will likely be on the field way too often. The Broncos were not great against the run last season and that will be where they struggle here.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Tennessee Titans -1
Tennessee can build off what was a great season last year with their run game. Denver is much worse at defending the run, so I think we will see the Titans control this game and will comfortably.
