Los Angeles bounced back from its Week 1 loss with a convincing 28-6 win over the Giants. Matthew Stafford threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, with Davante Adams catching eight passes for 195 yards and two scores.
The Rams found their offense Monday night; now Denver gets to see how well it travels at altitude.
Denver also got its first win last week, beating Jacksonville 20-13 after scoring 17 unanswered points in the second half. Bo Nix threw for 288 yards as the Broncos finally found some offensive rhythm.

The Rams have also had a demanding early travel schedule after opening the season in Australia. Now comes the altitude in Denver on a short week after playing Monday night.

Broncos Stats
Denver is averaging 15 points and 284 yards per game through two weeks. The passing game has produced 209.5 yards per contest, but the Broncos haven’t consistently turned drives into points.
Last week was a step forward.
Nix helped Denver erase a 10-3 halftime deficit by leading three consecutive scoring drives in the second half. He completed 22 of 31 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown in the 20-13 win.
Jaylen Waddle gave the offense a needed spark with eight catches for 138 yards.
The defense has helped keep Denver afloat while the offense settles in. The Broncos have four sacks and two interceptions through two games and held Jacksonville to 268 total yards last week.
Denver doesn’t need an offensive masterpiece if its defense keeps giving Nix this much breathing room.
The injury picture is worth watching. Marvin Mims Jr., J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey all dealt with injuries during the week, adding some uncertainty to Denver’s offensive rotation.
Rams Stats
Los Angeles enters averaging 17.5 points despite exploding for 28 against the Giants. The Rams produced 385 yards in that victory and controlled the game on both sides of the ball.
Stafford did most of the damage through the air.
He threw four touchdown passes against New York, while Adams delivered his biggest game as a Ram with 195 receiving yards and two scores. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum combined for 164 rushing yards on 24 carries.
The Rams defense has been even more impressive.
Los Angeles is allowing only 16.5 points per game and has 10 sacks through two weeks. The Giants managed just 182 total yards and converted only three of 14 third downs Monday night.
That pressure becomes especially important against Nix.
The Rams can make Denver sustain long drives instead of living on explosive plays, and that hasn’t been an easy assignment for the Broncos yet.
Los Angeles does have significant injury concerns.
Puka Nacua and safety Kamren Kinchens are both doubtful after missing practice throughout the week. McVay indicated Nacua is more unlikely than likely to play, leaving Adams as Stafford’s clear No. 1 target if Nacua sits.
Rams vs. Broncos QB Matchup
Stafford has thrown for 482 yards and four touchdowns through two games. After a quiet opener, he carved up the Giants for 327 yards and four scores Monday night.
Adams certainly helped.
The veteran receiver accounted for 195 of those yards, and his role becomes even larger if Nacua is unavailable. Stafford still has the experience to attack Denver vertically, but the Broncos won’t have to spend much time wondering where the football is supposed to go.
Nix enters with 419 passing yards through two games.
His best football came after halftime against Jacksonville, when Denver finally started sustaining drives and Waddle became a major factor in the passing game.

The matchup gets considerably tougher here.
Los Angeles has 10 sacks already and just held New York below 200 total yards. Nix has to stay patient against that pressure rather than forcing the explosive play when it isn’t there.
Stafford faces his own challenge against a Denver defense that’s considerably better than the six-point showing New York offered Monday.

The Rams are allowing 16.5 points per game and just held the Giants to six. Denver has allowed 22 per game, but the Broncos tightened up considerably in last week’s 20-13 win over Jacksonville.
Two capable defenses plus a Denver offense still finding itself makes 45.5 feel a little generous.
Los Angeles could also be without Puka Nacua, who is doubtful with a groin injury. That puts more responsibility on Davante Adams and the running game against a Denver defense that should be plenty comfortable playing this one patiently.
Bo Nix doesn’t need a shootout to win at home, and Sean Payton knows it. For Sunday Night Football, I expect both sides to make the other offense earn its points rather than turning Mile High into a track meet.
