Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks have split their first two road games, while Sean Payton’s Broncos are 2-0 at home. Neither club has much recovery time after playing Sunday.
Thursday Night Football isn’t known for its generous vacation packages.

Four days between games leaves precious little time to clean up bad habits. Seattle committed four turnovers against San Fran, and that’s the weakness I’m targeting.
Denver doesn’t need an offensive masterpiece if it can steal a possession or two and turn those opportunities into points.
Payton won’t complain about winning ugly.
I’m buying Denver’s ability to turn Seattle’s mistakes into a fourth-quarter game that comes down to one possession.
Seattle’s passing attack is dangerous, but its aggressiveness can also create opportunities for the defense. Denver needs to challenge receivers at the catch point, make tackles immediately and resist the temptation to gamble on every snap.
That’s the difference between smart aggression and volunteering to appear on somebody else’s highlight reel.
There’s risk here, especially with Denver’s secondary dealing with injuries. But Seattle has shown it can move the ball and still find creative ways to sabotage a possession. That makes laying 2.5 points considerably less attractive than the favorite’s offensive numbers suggest.
One defensive takeaway, one short field, one ugly touchdown drive.
That’s the kind of Thursday night football that can make an underdog bettor smile.
If this turns into a game of mistakes, Seattle has already demonstrated it knows the choreography. Broncos +2.5 is where I’m landing.
