An important NFC West clash will take place here as the 49ers look to continue their run to the postseason. After a poor start to the year, San Francisco has gained momentum with a few wins in a row.
Seattle on the other hand, just lost their first game of the season and are not as invincible as many thought they were. Especially their defense, which has holes all over the place as seen in week 7.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers utterly dominated the Patriots in week 7, winning by a score of 33-6. This game was pretty much never in doubt and Jimmy Garoppolo did not have to do all that much. Good thing because even though he threw for 277 yards an even though he completed 20 of his 25 passes, he failed to throw a touchdown and had two interceptions.
Their rushing attack was much impressive, considering they ran for a combined 197 yards. Not only that, but they averaged 5.3 yards per carry. Jeff Wilson Jr. led the way with 112 yards rushing and three touchdowns. The bad news is he suffered an injury and is now questionable for the game in Seattle.
The defense was also impressive and given how they played, you would have never known that they just got torched by Miami for 43 points a few weeks ago. The 49ers held New England to 241 total yards and held Cam Newton to 94 yards passing. They also held them to under 100 yards rushing as a team. Probably also worth mentioning that they forced four turnover, three of which were interceptions by Newton.
Seattle had been living on the edge as of late with a few comeback wins, most notably Minnesota a few weeks ago. They finally were unable to pull a game out as they fell to the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 37-34. The offense cannot be heavily blamed here seeing that Russell Wilson threw for 388 yards. He also threw for three touchdowns, but had three interceptions. The Seahawks also had 200 rushing yards for a net total of 572 yards. More impressively, Tyler Lockett had 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
So after that offensive performance, how did they lose? Well their defense continues to allow teams to go up and down the field. Kyler Murray torched the Seahawks’ secondary for 512 total yards, 360 of which were through the air. Add in 159 rushing yards and the Cardinals were easily able to keep pace with the Seattle offense.
The Seattle defense did a decent job at forcing turnovers, causing one fumble an forcing one interception. They did however, fail to record a single sack.
NFL Betting Trends:
- San Francisco are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games.
- San Francisco are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on the road.
- The total has gone UNDER in 13 of San Francisco’s last 20 games played in November.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Under 54
San Francisco may have slowed down the Patriots, but Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are on a different level. The 49ers are plagued with injuries, so I think they are going to struggle to score. Because of that, I will back the under.
