The Vikings won the last game played between the two teams last year by a final score of 32-21.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers seemed to be flying high going into the regular season and everyone seemed to be feeling good about the team’s chances.
On Sunday on the last play of practice running back Jerick McKinnon who was their big offseason acquisition made a cut and tore his ACL.
He was having a good preseason and it is a big blow to the backfield of the team. They will have to turn now to Matt Breida and Alfred Morris.

They are both capable players but losing McKinnon is still a loss. In this game Jimmy Garrapolo is going to need to play good and figure out a way to attack a very good Vikings defense.
First and foremost the offense needs to hold on to the ball. If they turn the ball over and let the Vikings have good field position it’s going to be a long afternoon of football.
If Garrapolo can take care of the football and take his chances when they are there, that is what will keep the 49ers in this one.
Minnesota Vikings
On the other side of this matchup is the Minnesota Vikings who have Super Bowl expectations coming into this season but their schedule is brutal.
This is the first big test of the schedule and the first chance for Vikings fans to see what this new look team will look like.
Kirk Cousins was the big addition this offseason but how well he does is going to depend on one thing, how well the offensive line plays.

The line has had all kinds of injuries this season and what line they will run out on Sunday is still a big question.
Everyone knows what the Vikings defense can do and it will be key that they play well in this game and all year if they want to meet their goals.
They need to make like real tough on the 49ers offense. If they can do that they will have a good chance to win and cover the spread.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Vikings ATS
It’s week one and there are some questions surrounding the Vikings offense but I don’t see any reason to be concerned and I think they will cover the spread.
NFL Free Week 1 Score Prediction: Vikings 17 – 49ers 7
Their defense is not going to let the 49ers get much going and that is what they will lean on to come out ahead and start the season 1-0.
