The San Francisco 49ers will be on the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, January 22nd for the NFC Championship Game.
Both of these teams earned close victories in the divisional round over the weekend.
Los Angeles began as a 3.5 point favorite and that number has really not changed. The total has gone from 46.5 to 46.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers may not be playing the most flashy brand of football, but they are winning games and moving on. I do not feel many people had this crew as one of the final four remaining teams.
San Francisco picked up an impressive win on Saturday over the Green Bay Packers by a score of 13-10. There was nothing fancy about it, but they did what they had to do to advance.
So far, this team has gone on the road and picked up wins in two tough environments. It will be interesting to see if they can do it in a third one Sunday.
Jimmy Garoppolo was 11/19 for 131 yards with 0 touchdown passes and 1 pick in the game against Green Bay. As you can see by the numbers, he was not great, but at least he was not the reason why his team lost.
The defense looked very good for this team in the win over Dallas and the same was true against the Packers. After Aaron Rodgers and company marched down the field and scored on their first drive, this unit did a very good job of clamping down and keeping them in check.
Los Angeles Rams
It seems like the Rams are really rolling right about now and it could not be happening at a better time. They are definitely one of the more dangerous teams that are left.
Los Angeles beat the defending champion, Tampa Bay Bucs on Sunday by a score of 30-27. They were able to knock them off two times this year, which is certainly an impressive feat for them.
The final score was close due to some miscues by the Rams and Tom Brady doing his thing, but when it mattered most, these guys took care of their business on the road. I thought for the majority of the game, they dominated Tampa Bay on both sides of the ball.
In the win over Tampa, Matthew Stafford finished the day going 28/38 for 366 yards with 2 touchdown passes. From the beginning until the end, he looked locked in and he played better than the greatest quarterback who has ever done it.
I thought the defense did a very good job of generating pressure on Tom Brady and making him uncomfortable. Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd, and Von Miller were all able to get in the face of the Goat, which clearly had an impact on the way he performed.

4* Free NFC Championship Game NFL Betting Prediction: 49ers +3.5
It is always an interesting storyline when two teams from the same division matchup in the playoffs. We have already seen that a few times in the playoffs and we will get a chance to see it again on Sunday.
Of course, one of the main things that is being mentioned is that the 49ers already beat the Rams two times in the regular season. Will they be able to do it for a third time or will Los Angeles finally have their way with them?
I get that the 49ers have not exactly been convincing in their first two wins of the postseason, but they have still got the job done. Whether it be their offensive line, playcalling, or the speed of their defense, I think San Francisco matches up well with their opponent here.
Listen, I get that Rams have looked very good against Arizona and Tampa Bay, but I do not feel things will just come easy for them on Sunday. They have certainly have the players and coaching to win the game, but I am not sold on the cover.
Both times, San Francisco was a dog to Los Angeles and they won the game outright. I am not saying they will beat them for a third time, but I do feel they can keep it close and cover as a 3.5 point underdog.
Give me the 49ers getting the points on the road here.
