This week 16 match-up will see the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New York Jets. These teams have not met since 2016. This was a game where the Steelers won 31-13.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers looked awful this past Sunday Night, losing to the Buffalo Bills 17-10. Their playoffs are still alive, yet are dwindling by the day. That makes this game a must win if they want any chance to be a wild-card.
For a few weeks, Delvin Hodges was looking like he could have a future in Pittsburgh. He came into the game against Cincinnati to replace Mason Rudolph and sparked them to a win. In the following weeks, the Steelers beat the Brows and the Cardinals.
Then comes a legit defense in the Bills. Hodges looked completely lost in this game, throwing four interceptions. His defense stopped the Bills so many times and gave him so many chances to make a play, yet he could not get the job done.
Thus it is no surprise that the Steelers have the 31st ranked passing offense in the league. They only average 19.2 points per game as well, the 25th ranked scoring offense in the NFL.

The defense for the Steelers has emerged as one of the best units in the league. They rank 4th in total yards allowed, 5th in passing yards allowed, 11th in rushing yards allowed, and 7th in points allowed.
New York Jets
The Jets played last Thursday Night against the Ravens where they lost 42-21. This loss confirms they will have a losing season.
A big problem for the Jets is how they tend to start slow in games. They went down 13-0 to Baltimore in the first quarter, which really put them in a hole. They managed to make it close at the start of the second quarter, but then it was all Baltimore. The Jets went down by as much as 35-7 before some garbage time touchdowns.
New York continues to prove why they are the worst offense in the NFL. They average 274.1 total yards per game (31st), 196.6 passing yards per game (30th), 77.6 rushing yards per game (31st) and 17.6 points per game (28th).
Also, LeVeon Bell, their most prestigious off-season addition, is being underused an only has 676 rushing yards and three touchdowns. I really do not know how this anemic offense is going to move the ball on the Steelers, which has me to believe they will struggle to find points.
The New York defense is actually not as bad as their results may show. They are the 9th ranked team in total yards allowed. The Jets also have the second best rushing defense in the NFL. Their scoring defense allows about 24.5 points per game. To be fair, it is hard to make stops when your offense consistently turns the ball over.
The key for New York has to be keeping Sam Darnold on his feet. This defensive line for Pittsburgh is nasty and they will have a field day if they can get pressure on Darnold consistently.
