Week six of the NFL season kicks off on Thursday night with a really good match up.
It’s an NFC showdown between two teams who are 4-1, and not many people expected they would be 4-1 at this point of the season.
The Philadelphia Eagles will make the trip to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers.
Most people believed the Philadelphia Eagles would be a team in contention this year for the NFC East, but not many people expected they would look this good through the first five weeks of the season.
They come into this game with a 4-1 record with the only loss coming against the Kansas City Chiefs, a team that might be the best in the AFC.
On the offensive side of the ball it starts and ends with Carson Wentz who has really taken a step forward this year.
In five games Carson Wentz has thrown for 1362 yards and ten touchdowns. He has also done a good job of limiting turnovers too having only thrown three interceptions.
In his last three games he only has one interception. He has done a good job of spreading the ball around and making the smart play and not just locking on to one receiver.
On the defensive side of the ball they have been good for the most part so far. They don’t have a bunch of big name players, but everyone seems to play well as a group, and that has led to a lot of success.
The strength of the defense for the Eagles is stopping the run. So far this season they are only giving up 62.8 yards per game, which is the second best in all the league.
On the other side of this match up is the Carolina Panthers who have also been kind of a surprise this year. Their only loss so far this year was against the New Orleans Saints, which was a big surprise after how they had started the season.
There has been some controversy surrounding the Panthers after Cam Newton made some unwise comments about woman’s and them talking football, but that hasn’t seemed to affect his play on the field.
Against the Lions in his last game he came out firing early and threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns. That was enough to lead the Panthers to a 27-24 victory.
The Lions came roaring back near the end of the game but they did enough to hold them off in the end, and pick up the fourth win of the season.
To win this game it’s going to come down to the defensive side of the ball. They need to find a way to make Carson Wentz uncomfortable early and hopefully create a couple of turnovers.
If they can force a few turnovers in this game they will have a good chance to come out ahead.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Eagles +3
This game is going to come down to who plays better at quarterback, and I think that team will be the Eagles.
NFL Free Week 6 Score Prediction: Eagles 27 – Panthers 24
I think Cam Newton will have issues with accuracy and that will lead to his struggles. I think the Eagles will pull this game out with a late field goal to seal the game.
