Both of these teams are terrible. It stands to reason that Miami could be highly motivated knowing that if they do not get this one at home a winless season is very likely.

For the Jets this is a game they can actually win, that should be motivation enough. Luckily this sone is in the 1:00PM time slot so there are a lot of other options for our viewing pleasure.
New York Jets
For starters, there might not be much of a difference between these two teams other than the fact that the Dolphins are trying to be bad while New York thought they might be competitive. That has definitely not been the case.
The Jets are scoring only 11pgg and that is after getting 15 against the Jags last week. The offense has been brutal and even with Sam Darnold back is now showing much in the way of improvement.
At some point you have wonder if Le’Veon Bell is going to start checking out if he hasn’t already. I know he is just a running back but if he is as good as he thinks he is shouldn’t he have produced more.
The Jets defense is the stronger unit for sure but that is all relative really. They have also underperformed though it is tough when there is no margin for error.
It is still a little shocking to see the Jets favoured on the road.
Miami Dolphins
Miami was up 14-0 before losing 27-14 to Pittsburgh on Monday night. That kind of turnaround does not happen often but at least their backers got the cover.

It appears the Dolphins might be creeping towards a win and if that is the case this is the best spot to get one, hosting a terrible New York Jets team.
In the loss the Miami defense could not stop the run, James Conner ran for more than 120 yards. They also couldn’t stop the big pass play either.
Pittsburgh is no offensive juggernaut but the Jets are still a notch or two below so I give the the Dolphins defense a chance to be competent enough to give the team a chance.
The number one overall pick could be on the line here so there is at least something at stake.
