The Bengals lost again and have to be realizing that a winless season seems more likely than not at this point.

New York Jets

The Jets dominated Oakland on Sunday in one of the most surprising results of the weekend. The Raiders have been better than expected and drew action on the road. New York beat them 34-3 in their most complete game of the season.

New York seems to have figured out a winning formula, score 34 points. That is what they have done in each of their three wins on this run. The points are great but it as much an indication that the offense is functional with Sam Darnold leading the way.

The numbers for Darnold have gotten better in each game of the winning streak. Topping them again this week could be tough but Cincinnati will give him a shot.

The defense has been improving over the streak too going from 27 points allowed, to 17, to 3.  There is not much room for improvement there but they are playing the Bengals.

This is a great spot for another positive result from the Jets.

Cincinnati Bengals

Even though the Bengals are not winning they are not getting blown out every week. Last week they lost by just 6 points to Pittsburgh.

I suppose Ryan Finley had his best start of the season with no interceptions and one TD pass. He is still not completing even 50% of his throws though.

Since the game was close they did not have to abandon the running game.  Joe Mixon had 79 yards and they will look to incorporate him in this one.

Cincinnati got the Pittsburgh quarterbacks three times in the loss and they need to do the same to Darnold. They do not want him to get too comfortable back there.

The Bengals could win this one. Even though they are on a roll the Jets should not be intimidating anyone.
