Despite the 49ers coming off a season in which they covered the spread in over half of their games, I don’t see there being enough value to take them at -10.5.
I could be wrong, but it feels like offenses always rule the roost on Thursday nights. It’s that short week deal. I think Daniel Jones will get the ball to his playmakers (Breida/Waller/Hyatt/Slayton/Hodgins/Shephard), and they will have no choice but to step up and perform in this one.
The Giants managed to stage a miraculous comeback in Week 2, facing the struggling Arizona Cardinals, and I believe the momentum will favor them as we approach this week. Moreover, there won’t be significant travel involved for either team since they’ve both remained in Arizona for the week.
With a quick turnaround and Thursday night football in play, anything and everything can happen as the teams clash.
My money is going on the Giants at +10.5.
For this week’s matchup, I’m going with the under. The over/under line of 45 is set higher than the lines in all of New York’s previous games. We believe this line is sitting to high for this matchup, and our expectation is that the game will not surpass 45 points.
