Giants vs. Jets Gameday
Get ready for some Week 3 preseason action, where the New York Giants and New York Jets square off in a clash that’s got bettors buzzing. Both teams sit at 1-1, but don’t let that fool you—there’s plenty on the line here, especially for those of us looking to cash in.
The Jets, fresh off dominating joint practices, are riding high on confidence. Sauce Gardner, never one to mince words, didn’t sound too impressed with Daniel Jones or the Giants’ offense. And with Saquon Barkley out of the picture, the Giants are set to unveil a different offensive look this season.
There was just one head-to-head matchup between the Giants and Jets last year, with the Jets coming out on top 13-10. Even though the Jets won, the game was a push vs. the spread, as they were -3 point favorites. The game had a combined total of 23 points, which was well below the over/under line of 35 points.
New York Giants
Despite falling behind early, the Giants battled back to make it 14-10 at halftime in their recent non-conference matchup with the Texans. However, they didn’t score at all in the 2nd half, ultimately losing 28-10. New York’s pre-season record is now 1-1 after this one. They were +1.5 point underdogs and lost straight-up and ATS with the 18-point defeat.
After the Giants fell behind 7-0 in the 1st quarter, Daniel Jones connected with Darius Slayton for a touchdown to tie the game in the 2nd quarter. Houston added another touchdown, taking a 14-10 lead at the half. The Giants didn’t do much on offense in the 2nd half, and Houston put the game away with two 4th-quarter touchdowns.

4* Free Week 3 NFL Betting Prediction: New York +1
On the betting front, the line is razor-thin, with the Giants as slight underdogs at +1. The real intrigue lies in whether Aaron Rodgers will take the field—at 40 years old, his status is a wildcard, but don’t bank on seeing much of him. This game is all about evaluating young talent, and the Giants’ rookies will be eager to make their mark.
With the total set at a low 31.5, expect a grind-it-out type of game—perfect for those sharp enough to seize the under. This is preseason football at its finest, and for savvy bettors, it’s an opportunity to gain some serious insight before the regular season kicks off.
Our pick vs. the spread is to take the Jets to cover, as they are currently sitting at +1 point and are our projected winners at 21-13. For this pre-season week three matchup between the Giants and Jets, we are leaning towards taking the Jets to cover as slight home underdogs.
As for the over/under, with the line sitting at 31.5 points, we have a projected combined score of 34 points, making the over a good bet for this Giants vs. Jets matchup.
