This one would have been more interesting if Atlanta had one last week.
Now they need to win if they want to have any hope at a division title…and stay in the Wild Card Race.

New Orleans was methodical in beating the Panthers last week and staying ahead in the division race.
They are hoping either Philadelphia or Minnesota stumbles so they can sneak into second in the NFC.
New Orleans Saints
Even though we are well into the season it is still an adjustment to get used to how New Orleans is winning. They are a string running team with a good defense.
And when they need him, that have a Hall of Fame QB in Drew Brees who just doesn’t make any mistakes.
Once again it Alvin Kamara who was getting all the pub on the broadcast and it is hard not to like the exciting rookie running back.
However, don’t forget it was Mark Ingram who ripped off a 72 yard run so he is not exactly a plodder. Both contribute in the passing game – 11 combind catches.
If there is one knock on New Orleans is that they don’t have that one elite receiver or TE.

The New Orleans defense is not going to scare a lot of teams but they have been sound all season long and since their offense has been grinding up the clock they are often in good position.
Cameron Jordan is a very productive defensive end who is having his best year in the pros. He is both a run stopper and pass rusher and great at batting down balls at the line of scrimmage.
Kenny Vaccaro is another strong defender who can play in the box but also run around in the secondary and make plays. The defense is strong at all levels.
Atlanta Falcons
This is going to be the first of two cracks that Atlanta is going to have at New Orleans over the next three weeks. They are definitely in control of their own destiny. They have to win at home.
Atlanta has to get off the mat after what must have been a deflating loss to the Vikings. They were leading almost all of the second half but lost it late.
It is tough to bear a good team if you aren’t able to score a touchdown but that is what happened here. Very surprising given the Atlanta offensive weapons.
After the monster week last week Julio Jones was a total nonfactor. Minnesota has better cover corners than New Orleans.

The Falcons can’t be too disappointed with their defense. They held the Vikings to just 14 points, even if they couldn’t keep them out of the end zone late.
They were not able to force Case Keenum into any mistakes though. Keenum is having a great year but let’s face it. He is no Drew Brees.
NFL Betting Trends:
- New Orleans is 8-1 SU in its last 9 games
- New Orleans is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
- The total has gone OVER in 13 of Atlanta’s last 16 games at home
- Atlanta is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: New Orleans +2
I know they are going to be on the road against a rival but backing Atlanta scares me. I feel like I have been disappointed too many times.
NFL Free Week 14 Score Prediction: New Orleans 27 – Atlanta 24
Atlanta will put up some points in this one but in the end they will come up short. Brees will win it late.
I think if you want to get behind the home team play them in the first half. I expect they will start strong.
