We have reached week five of the NFL regular season.
Two teams who hope to be battling for the playoffs face off in this one.
The New England Patriots make the trip to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots have won the last two match ups, and four of the last five games played between the two teams.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots have a lot of questions after their last home loss against the Carolina Panthers, a team that was blown out the previous week by the New Orleans Saints.
The biggest issue this team has had has been on the defensive side of the ball. They have given up at least 20 points in each game and in the last two games they have given up 33 points each.
Now they did go 1-1 in that stretch but if this team wants to make it back to the Super Bowl, and win this game on Thursday night the defense has to be better.
On the offensive side of the ball the Patriots have been good, and are playing the Patriot way. It seems every week a different guy steps up, and they have a different leading rusher that will lead the team.
Tom Brady is still defying logic with how well he is playing. He comes into this game having thrown for 1399 yards and ten touchdowns.
He also doesn’t have a turnover yet this season.
To win this game it all comes down to the defense. They need to step up and play better. They can’t let Winston sit back in pocket and just sling the ball around.
When teams make Winston move around that is usually when the ball starts to sail on him, and if they can do that they can get a couple picks and win this game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On the other side of this match up is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have only played three games so far this year because of the Hurricane but still come into this game with a 2-1 record, but haven’t looked that impressive this year.
In their first game of the year they beat the Bears, who haven’t looked good this year, and the Buccaneers ran them out of the stadium from the opening kick off.
The one big concern still with the Bucks is Winston and his off target throws. He has been known as a guy who floats the ball and that has been the case again this year.
If the Buccaneers want to pull the big upset in this game he needs to have a game near perfect game. He needs to make the Patriots defense look bad, not good.

Now the Patriots defense has been bad this year, and I don’t think it will be great in this game, but I think it will be improved enough.
NFL Free Week 5 Score Prediction: Patriots 34 – Buccaneers 27
The Patriots offense will do what they have done all year and have success.
The Patriots win the game in a very high scoring affair.
