Welcome back Zeke!
My point-spread pick for this Patriots vs. Cowboys matchup is to take the Patriots to cover on the road.
The Pats have an impressive 6-1 straight-up record in their last seven matchups against Dallas. Secondly, Dallas has struggled with a 4-10 against-the-spread record in their previous 14 games played in Week 4.
The Patriots have history on their side vs. NFC teams. (Of course a large part of that history is with Tom Brady at QB) The Pats boast a remarkable 35-5 (.875) regular-season record versus the conference since 2001.
As of now, they are 7-point underdogs and I expect them to cover at this number.
After BigD laid an egg last week against the Cardinals I’m not sure which Cowboys team will show up, and I know Bill B will have his team ready to go. I’m going with what I can trust. I trust in Bill.
We’re on the OVER in this one too.
Not only does our model have a projected total of 49 points in this matchup, but the eye test has me feeling this line of 42.5 is low. I like the Patriots and Cowboys to exceed 42.5 points.
