Playoff implications aplenty on Monday Night Football between two teams safely in the postseason picture but looking to move up.
The oddsmakers say the home field is all the advantage the Seahawks have. Seattle opens up -3 with a total just short of 50 in the final game of Week 13.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings had a nice bye week. Not only did they get a chance to rest up and get preparing for Seattle early, the Packers lost in San Francisco and came back to the Vikings in the NFC North.

That gives Minnesota a share of the division lead with a home game vs. Green Bay lurking in Week 16.
It would be unwise to look ahead to game now. The Vikings have a tremendous opportunity on Monday Night Football in what is, on paper, their most difficult test remaining in the regular season.
Dalvin Cook came into the bye one of three rushers in the NFL with 1,000 yards already (Christian McCaffrey, Nick Chubb). He’s also got 45 catches on 54 targets. As always, the game plan will begin with him against a Seattle defense that has allowed 4.5 yards per carry to opponent backs this season.
The big name on the injury front is Adam Thielen. He’s got a bad hammy that forced him out a few weeks ago for the first time in his career. He tried to come back and play but was ineffective.
It’s yet to be known if the bye was enough for him to get healthy enough to play in this game. Surely the Vikings will do everything they can, not to bring him back in Week 13, but to have him healthy for a stretch run.
Rooking tight end Irv Smith Jr., the 50th overall pick out of Alabama, has caught at least three passes in each of his last five games as an option for Kirk Cousins if the possession receiver Thielen isn’t healthy.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks earned a big road win on Sunday, 17–9, over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Seahawks won with defense and little from Russell Wilson and Chris Carson.

The unlikely offensive hero was second-year running back Rashaad Penny, whom the Seahawks selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of San Diego State.
Penny broke out for 128 yards on 14 carries, including a 58-yard score. Carson, by comparison, ran just eight times for 26 yards.
Penny’s performance was critical because the Eagles bottled up Russell Wilson’s passing game. Wilson finished with exactly 200 yards, completing 13 of his 25 attempts, a touchdown and an interception. Wilson has thrown a pick in three of his last five games after starting the season with six clean starts.
He’s battling a hamstring injury and Tyler Lockett, who hurt his shin two weeks ago before the Seahawks’ bye, had just one catch for 38 yards in the win.
They will appreciate the extra day to get ready for a Vikings’ pass defense that has held its opponents under 300 yards in all but two games this season (consecutive games in Weeks 6 and 7).

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Under 49
Between Thielen’s injury for Minnesota and Wilson and Lockett banged up for Seattle, I’m thinking both passing attacks will be stifled just a bit in Seattle. I suspect this one stays close and finishes somewhere in the mid-40s, which means there’s just enough value to make this a strong lean or weak play.
