Both of these teams are coming off losses to division opponents.
That puts a little extra pressure on this one as each look to keep pace with Detroit and Green Bay.

Minnesota has had its ups and downs since losing Sam Bradford at quarterback. The offense will be under less pressure this week.
Chicago has looked competitive at times but overall this is not a team that should be considered a threat to the rest of the division.
Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota is in a tough spot offensively coming into this one. Case Keenum has struggled of late and they are still not sure about the status of Sam Bradford.
Making things more challenging is the loss of rookie RB Dalvin Cook to a gruesome knee injury. He was not taking the league by storm but was a threat to score on any carry.
The Vikes do have an experienced backup in free agent acquisition Latavious Murray. In limited action he has not been great and they might have to change their schemes for him.
Stefon Diggs has definitely been their best offensive player. He is not as small but he reminds me of Steve Smith from his Carolina days. A guy who just makes big plays and is always fighting.
The offense scored only 7 points last week in the loss. They have to be better but at the same time this game is not likely to turn into a shootout.

In the loss to Detroit the defense was good, allowing just 14 points to Matt Stafford and Co. This week will be less of a challenge most likely.
They were especially good at putting heat on Stafford coming up with 5 sacks. They were able to bring it from all over the field too.
Detroit was able to run the ball and I would expect that the Bears will be even more focused on establishing the run. Their passing attack is a lot lighter though.
Chicago Bears
The Bears might be underrated but that still doesn’t mean they are any good. In their biggest rivalry game against the Packers they were hardly in it.
Mike Glennon is not terrible but he is not good either. He has throw 5 picks in the last three games and is just keeping the position warm for now. We will see Mitch Trubisky but probably not this week.
Chicago has to be able to run the ball to win. Jordan Howard was awesome last season but this year has had only one game in four with more than 60 yards. Not surprisingly it was their upset of Pittsburgh (140)
The Bears have a lame set of pass catchers. Rookie Tariq Cohen has the most receptions and is explosive but is not even averaging 7 yards per catch. Other than him it is a bunch of castoffs. A group that would be hard for anybody to win with.

Chicago’s defense has been solid through four week. They have given up some points but they have also been facing top offenses nearly every week.
The Bears have not forced an interception yet this season. Without some short fields and momentum changers this team is going to find it difficult against a lot of opponents.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Vikings -3
There are lots of injury related reasons to fade the Vikings here but I still don’t like Chicago.
NFL Free Week 5 Score Prediction: Viking 24 – Bears 13
The key to this one will be getting into the end zone more than once. Minnesota will figure out how and get the win and cover.
Chicago might be healthier but until they figure out how to generate a passing attack it is going to be hard sledding on offense.
