Tampa Bay looked like a different team than the one we saw take the field against the Saints the week prior. They need to continue this streak because the Saints do not look to be slowing down either.
The Rams are back in a playoff race in either the division or the wild-card. They need to be consistent here and put together a win streak.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams took a huge step in the right direction with a win over the Seattle Seahawks. They are now tied with Seattle an Arizona for the NFC West, all three teams sitting at 6-3. Jared Goff threw for 302 yards in this game, but did not have a touchdown. He did have one fumble lost, but it did not end up hurting them too much. The Rams rushed for just 106 yards, but they had three touchdowns on the ground.
Defensively, the Rams allowed the Seahawks just 333 yards of total offense. They did hold Miami to 145 total yards of offense, so that is at least a plus. The Rams managed to hold Russell Wilson in check, keeping him to 248 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions, and one fumble. Forcing Tom Brady to make mistakes is going to be a huge factor here.
Yardage wise, the Rams have the 2nd best defense, allowing 296.4 yards per game. They have the 3rd best passing defense and the 5th best rushing defense as well. Not to mention, they are allowing just 18.7 points per game. Whether or not they can keep Brady in check remains to be seen, but up to this point, they have the personnel to do just that.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs bounced back in a huge way, beating the Carolina Panthers 46-23. Tom Brady was able to put together a solid game, throwing for 341 yards and three touchdowns. He did not turn the ball over either which was big. Their rushing offense was their biggest win of the day, rushing for 210 yards as a team. Ronald Jones had 192 yards on 23 carries by himself. That includes a 98-yard touchdown run.
The Bucs rank as the 6th best scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 29.6 points per game. They are a top 10 passing offense and a top 15 offense overall.
The defense for the Bucs was very good in this game, allowing just 187 total yards. The Panthers had 65 yards on the ground and Teddy Bridgewater never really got settled in. Tampa Bay ranks 3rd in total defense and 1st in rushing defense this season. They also rank 10th in passing defense and should be able to contain Jared Goff.
