The Jags had one of the most unexpected result of the season to date winning at Pittsburgh.
I don’t want to say this team is a contender but they might have a good enough defense to be one
Los Angeles had a great chance to show that they were real last week too.
Instead they ceded ground to Seattle in the NFC West. Now this gimme game isn’t so much of one anymore.
Los Angeles Rams
There is no doubt that the Rams are improved this season but they squandered a chance last week, losing at home against Seattle.
Prior to the loss the Rams had been wowing with their suddenly prolific offense. They only scored 10 points against Seattle though. Is it a mulligan against a good defense or something to be concerned about. Only time will tell.
QB Jared Goff has been at the centre of the improvement but he was shaky against the Seahawks. It was by far his worst game of the season and this week he will be facing another tough defense.
RB Todd Gurley also struggled to get untracked and that put Goff in too many situations where he had to make a play. That is not the Rams formula for success.
Other than Gurley they are struggling to find weapons that step up on a regular basis.
The Los Angeles defense played very well against Seattle, more than well enough to get the victory. They gave up almost nothing on the ground and harassed Russell Wilson.
Against most teams that level of defensive effort would be enough and they should have some success against Jacksonville as well.
L.A. is one of the most improved teams in the league this season but you have to prove that by winning. This will be a clash against another team with a similar profile.
The Jags have to be the most interesting team in the league this season. Not only have they won a few games but in those wins they have dominated.
Not many would have given them a chance to beat Pittsburgh but they did with ease, forcing Ben Roethlisberger into 5 interceptions, a career high.
When you force that many mistakes you don’t even have to be that great. Blake Bortles threw for less than 100 yards.
Rookies RB Leonard Fournette was the offense. He rushed for 181 yards and two TDs, one a 90 yard scamper. This team might finally have an identity.
Fournette is a big part of that but so is the defense. CB Jalen Ramsey had one interception but was a monster and three others also picked off Big Ben.
The team was supposed to have a great defense under Gus Bradley but it looks like they are now able to play the way he always wanted to.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Jaguars -2.5
The Jags have been popular underdogs picks for like a decade so it is weird liking them as a favourite.
NFL Free Week 6 Score Prediction: Jacksonville 24 – Los Angeles 17
This one is not going to be pretty but someone is going to get a critical win. Whoever runs it best will be that team.
At home and coming in with max confidence I see Jacksonville as being that team.
