We are near the midway point of the NFL season and this matchup features the Chargers against the Raiders in an AFC West matchup.
The Chargers come in after a win against the Giants, while Oakland lost at home to the Ravens.
The last time the Chargers and the Raiders matched up was in 2016 when the Raiders came out ahead 19-16.
Los Angeles Chargers
Philip Rivers had an up and down game but did enough to pull out the victory for San Diego. He finished the game 21-44 for 258 yards and 3 scores. While inaccurate at times, he still was able to find a connection with Keenan Allen to beat the Giants secondary.
Rivers faces a very good Raiders pass rush, but a secondary that has been prone to mistakes early in the season. Look for him to throw for 250 yards and a pair of scores.
Melvin Gordon had a really good game. He ran the ball 20 times for 105 yards. He also was a major threat in the passing game, as he hauled in 6 passes for 58 yards and 2 scores.
The Raiders front seven provides a tough matchup but Gordon should have another good game and find the end zone at least once.
Keenan Allen had 4 catches for 67 yards and is always a threat to beat the secondary deep. Look for him to have a 100 yard receiving day.
Going up against Marshawn Lynch and the Raiders running game, the Chargers front seven will have to do a much better job than they did against the Giants, allowing both top two runners for the G-Men to average over 5 yards per carry.
With Derek Carr nursing an injured back, EJ Manuel got the start for Oakland. He was wildly inaccurate for most of the game, as he went 13-26 for 159 yards and a touchdown. Manuel will need to play much better for the Raiders to get to .500, but I don’t expect big things from him this week.
Look for Manuel to have another sub 200 yard passing game and throw 2 interceptions.
Marshawn Lynch wasn’t able to do much against the Ravens defensive line, as he carried the ball 12 times for only 43 yards and a score. With Manuel playing poorly it was very surprising to see the Raiders abandon the run, but I expect him to get at least 20 carries in this one.
Michael Crabtree had an excellent game against the Baltimore secondary, as he caught 6 passes for 82 yards and a score. Another solid performance by Crabtree should be in store. Look for him to find the end zone for the second straight week.
The Raiders pass rush is always a threat to get to the QB, and Khalil Mack is one of the best defensive players in the league. Expect the front seven to get at least 3 sacks on the night.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Chargers
The Raiders defense is really good, but anyone with EJ Manuel under center is at a distinct disadvantage from the opening whistle.
