The NFL will once again have three games on Thanksgiving, so grab some turkey and stuffing and sit down for a good day filled with football!
In this one it’s a non conference match up at AT&T Stadium. The Los Angeles Chargers make the trip to Dallas to take on the Cowboys.
This is a must win for both teams as they try to make a late season push for the playoffs.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers haven’t had the season they were hoping for in their first season in the new city, but they come into this game off a win.
In their last game they took the Buffalo Bills, and they were kind of handed a gift. Nathan Peterman got the start for the Bills, and the Chargers took advantage picking him off five times.
Keenan Allen had 12 receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns, and he helped lead the Chargers to a big 54-24 win, and kept their playoff hopes alive for at least one more game.
At times this year the struggle has been on the offensive side of the ball, and they have suffered a lot of injuries, so the fact that they could put up 54 points is a huge positive going forward the rest of the year.
To win this game, of course the offense is going to need but the defense is going to need to be good too. Dak Prescott struggles under pressure, and if they can get pressure on him in this game, they will have a good chance to ruin the Cowboys Thanksgiving.
They also need to get out to a fast start to get the crowd out of it early. The crowd will probably be really loud early, so if the Chargers can get out to a fast start, that would be a huge advantage.
On the other side of this match up is the Dallas Cowboys who’s season is hanging in the balance and a loss in this game would be devastating in a very good NFC conference.
The Cowboys come into this game really struggling having lost two games in a row, and the offense has really struggled in those two games.
Two games ago against Atlanta they only put up nine points, and against the Eagles in their last game, they only put up seven.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys have also really struggled giving up 37 points against the Eagles, but in this game it’s going to come down to the offense.
Dak Prescott needs to have success, and figure out a way to have success without Zeke by his side. If the offense struggles again in this one, the Cowboys will lose this one, and the playoff hopes will probably be all but gone.
NFL Betting Trends:
- LA Chargers is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games
- The total has gone UNDER in 4 of LA Chargers’s last 5 games
- Dallas is 9-4 SU in its last 13 games at home
- Dallas is 17-8 SU in its last 25 games
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Chargers +2.5
The crowd is going to be loud and rowdy, but I don’t think that will matter in the outcome in this game.
NFL Free Week 12 Score Prediction: Chargers 20 – Cowboys 14
I think Dak will struggle again, and Phillip Rivers will be the better quarterback in this game. It will be a low scoring game, but Rivers will make the plays down the stretch to win the game.
