Las Vegas was a trendy pick last week against Cleveland and they got the job done against the Browns with the upset win.
The Chargers are looking to rebound after losing on the road to Denver, a game it looked like they had well in hand.
If Oakland wants to stay in the race in the AFC this is a game they have to get.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are definitely not a great team but their offense works and on some days they have enough defense to win. I would not get too caught up in the fact that they gave up just 6 points to Cleveland last week.
Derek Carr is having the best season of his career. He had his lowest rated game of the season against Cleveland. It was his second straight game under 100, and they have come back to back.
I like that the Raiders are committed to establishing the run. Josh Jacobs had his best game by far last week with 128 yards. It was after his worst game of the season, hence the commitment.
Las Vegas has to get better on defense if they want to make a run to the playoffs. Giving up 29ppg is where they ave to improve the most.
The Chargers are a solid opponent, but one that finds ways to lose. The Raiders have to let them.
Los Angeles Chargers
I bet you didn’t know that the Chargers were second in the league in yards per game, I know I didn’t. They are just 17th in scoring though, which is 25th.
Rookie QB Justin Herbert has looked the part thus far. He and Tua are going to be linked as long as they are in the NFL and right now he has a nice head start in everything except wins.
You can’t put that on the rookie though with the way the offense has been cooking. It is the defense that needs to be better. DE Joey Bosa might miss this one due to a concussion.
All of the Chargers’ losses have come by one score, including games against the Chiefs and the Saints. They are close but have to start being able to finish off games.
This is a winnable game for the home side and a rivalry too. Perhaps Herbert gets them play it all the way through. That has been the challenge.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Raiders +1.5
I am not sure there is a huge gap between these two teams. They might have different strengths and the real difference might be on the sidelines. Jon Gruden has proven himself to be a winner in this league and he should get his team to gut through this one.
