4* Free Week 4 NFL Betting Prediction: Las Vegas +5.5
Everybody in the world is picking the Chargers this week vs. the spread. When that happens sometimes we have to zig when they zag. We’re going against the public in this one!
This week, the absence of Williams and the potential absence of Ekeler may ease the Raiders’ concerns. LAC boast one of the NFL’s top offenses but struggle with one of the league’s weakest defenses. Before I consider picking them against the spread, the Chargers must demonstrate their ability to halt opponents defensively.
Currently, only the Dolphins have surrendered more yards than the Chargers (450).
Expect the Raiders’ offensive weapons, Jacobs and Adams, to find their rhythm this week. It’s high time to shake off any doubts.
Las Vegas, boasting a 5-1 ATS record in their last six matchups against AFC West opponents. Meanwhile, the Chargers have struggled recently, with a 1-4 SU record in their last five games and a 2-5 SU record in their last seven contests against AFC West rivals.
My point spread pick for this game between the Raiders and Chargers is in favor of the Raiders covering as road underdogs. They are currently getting 5.5 points, and I expect them to cover this spread.
In all of Las Vegas’ previous games this season, the over/under lines have been set lower than this week’s line of 47.5. I’m leaning towards the under, as we believe this line is too high for these teams.
I’m eagerly awaiting a stronger performance from LAC, and will have my popcorn ready.
