Chiefs vs. Seahawks Gameday
The Kansas City Chiefs visit the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Lumen Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, with streaming available on Peacock. Kansas City enters Week 7 at 5-0, while Seattle stands at 3-3.
Andy Reid’s Chiefs have won their first five games and are unbeaten in two road appearances. Their combination of efficient offense and disciplined defense has made them one of the NFL’s toughest opponents.
Seattle won’t be handing out a sixth victory.
Kansas City brings the perfect record, but Seattle’s defense makes this a serious road test.
Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks have lost two straight, both by three points. They’re 2-1 at home and looking to avoid their first three-game losing streak since 2024.
The timing isn’t ideal with Mahomes coming to town.
Kenneth Walker III returns to Seattle as a member of the Chiefs after winning Super Bowl LX MVP honors with the Seahawks. His departure has changed both backfields. The reunion adds another layer to an already compelling Sunday night matchup.
The forecast calls for cool temperatures and possible rain, typical Seattle football weather.
It’s Week 7, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Seattle Seahawks, hopefully we get a great matchup.

Seahawks Stats From Last Week
Seattle averages 24.7 points and 332.2 offensive yards per game. The Seahawks generate 225 passing yards and 107.2 rushing yards per contest. Their offense has produced explosive plays but struggled with consistency.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba leads the NFL with 49 receptions, 717 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He’s accounted for nearly half of Seattle’s receiving yardage this season.
Defenses know where the football is going.
Emanuel Wilson leads the rushing attack with 303 yards and two touchdowns. Seattle has struggled to establish a dependable ground game, putting additional responsibility on its passing attack.
Seattle’s defense has been outstanding, but its offense has made winning harder than necessary.
The Seahawks allow 20.3 points and a league-low 237.3 total yards per game. They lead the NFL in passing defense at 141.3 yards allowed per contest.
That secondary has been earning its reputation.
Seattle also allows only 96 rushing yards per game and has recorded 16 sacks. The Seahawks haven’t allowed an individual 100-yard rusher since October 2024, a remarkable 35-game stretch.
Running back Zach Charbonnet, linebackers Drake Thomas and Chazz Surratt are out. Safety Nick Emmanwori and edge rushers DeMarcus Lawrence and Uchenna Nwosu are questionable.
Right guard Anthony Bradford is expected to return after recovering from a knee injury. His presence would provide welcome help along the offensive line.
Chiefs Stats From Last Week
Kansas City leads the NFL with 414 offensive yards per game. The Chiefs average 28 points, generating 254.2 passing yards and 159.8 rushing yards per contest.
Kenneth Walker III leads the league with 665 rushing yards and six touchdowns. He’s averaging 6.3 yards per carry and has already produced seven runs of at least 20 yards.
Seattle knows the damage he can do.
Travis Kelce leads Kansas City’s receiving group with 20 catches for 299 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to recognize openings against zone coverage remains important to Reid’s passing attack.
Defensively, the Chiefs allow just 16.6 points per game, ranking second in the NFL. Their run defense has been particularly effective, surrendering 88.8 yards per contest.
Kansas City has recorded nine takeaways and owns a plus-five turnover differential. Its defense has also allowed only seven touchdowns through five games.
That’s the kind of efficiency that wins close games.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice, offensive tackle Jaylon Moore and running back Brashard Smith are out. Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed and linebacker Cooper McDonald are questionable.
Kelce practiced on a limited basis Friday because of an ankle issue but carries no final injury designation.
Chiefs vs. Seahawks QB Matchup
Patrick Mahomes enters Week 7 with 1,309 passing yards through five games. He’s thrown nine touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 66.5% of his passes. His 103.1 passer rating is his best through five games since 2022.
Mahomes completed 23 of 30 passes for 272 yards against the Chargers. He didn’t throw a touchdown, but Kansas City’s offense remained effective behind its rushing attack.
That’s a luxury the Chiefs haven’t always enjoyed.
Mahomes has completed 71.7% of his passes against zone coverage this season. Seattle uses zone extensively, making his ability to identify openings an important part of the matchup.
Sam Darnold enters Sunday with 1,033 passing yards through five appearances. He’s thrown seven touchdowns and seven interceptions, completing 60.4% of his passes.
Darnold threw for 278 yards against Denver but was intercepted twice. He’s also taken five sacks in each of his last two starts, making protection a growing concern.
Those mistakes have been expensive.

Anybody can post a prediction. CappersPicks backs up its sports picks with opinionated matchup analysis, experienced handicappers & documented betting performance. Pad that bankroll one day at a time!
Mahomes faces a Seattle defense that limits explosive plays and rarely allows easy rushing yards. He’ll need to sustain longer possessions rather than depend on quick scoring strikes.
Darnold faces a Kansas City defense that disguises coverages effectively. His ability to recognize pressure and protect the football will be tested throughout the night.
The quarterbacks bring different levels of recent consistency. Mahomes has managed games efficiently, while Darnold needs a cleaner performance to give Seattle its best chance.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Seattle Seahawks bottom line: Seattle’s defensive discipline can challenge Mahomes, but Darnold must avoid the costly mistakes that have undermined the Seahawks.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Seattle Seahawks Football Betting Trends
- The Chiefs have a strong performance straight-up in all regular season games, going 5-0 in their last five contests.
- Also, Kansas City shows a solid 4-0 straight-up record after a win in their recent regular season games.
- The Seahawks have been reliable straight-up as favorites, with an 11-3 record in their last 14 regular season games.
- Seattle has been consistent at home, achieving a 6-1 straight-up record in their last seven regular season home games.
- Plus, the Seahawks have seen the total go over in three of their last four regular season games.
- The Chiefs have a 2-3 record against the total in their last five regular season away games.
Chiefs Seahawks Free Pick: Seahawks -2.5
Here is my Chiefs Seahawks free pick: Seahawks -2.5. Kansas City is undefeated, but Seattle has won six of its last seven regular-season home games. I’m taking the home favorite at less than a field goal. The Chiefs haven’t faced a road atmosphere quite like this one in 2026. Their two away victories came against Las Vegas and Miami, and neither presents the same challenge as a packed Lumen Field on Sunday night. That’s a legitimate situational edge.
I’m laying the short number because Seattle has the home-field advantage and the urgency to end its losing streak.
The Seahawks cannot afford another sloppy start. I expect Macdonald to lean on his defense early, shorten Kansas City’s possessions and give his offense manageable field position.
Forget the perfect record for a minute. Seattle doesn’t need to embarrass Mahomes; it needs to beat him by 3.
I’m calling for the Chiefs’ first loss of the season. Seahawks -2.5
