Cardinals Stats From Last Week
Arizona averages 21 points and 307.3 offensive yards per game. The Cardinals have accumulated 1,844 total yards through six contests. Their production has been respectable in stretches, but converting drives into touchdowns remains a problem.
The ground game received a lift from Bam Knight, who gained 80 yards on 15 carries against Los Angeles. Tyler Allgeier continues to handle a significant share of the rushing workload.
Arizona needs that combination to remain productive.
Trey McBride leads the receiving corps with 49 catches for 361 yards and three touchdowns. His ability to work underneath coverage gives Arizona a dependable option on important downs.
Arizona can sustain possessions, but settling for field goals has become an expensive habit.
The Cardinals allow 29.7 points and 350.5 yards per game. Their defense has recorded 14 sacks and eight takeaways through six contests.
Those disruptive plays haven’t been enough to overcome the scoring problems.
Arizona’s defense showed improvement against the Rams, holding Los Angeles without a touchdown. Budda Baker provided physical tackling and pressure from the secondary.
Running back Jeremiyah Love, defensive tackle Walter Nolen III, safety Andrew Wingard and guard Jon Gaines II are out. Baker, Max Melton and Darius Robinson are questionable.
Quarterback Carson Beck is also questionable with a back injury. The Cardinals’ available depth will be tested, particularly along the offensive line and in the secondary.
Broncos Stats From Last Week
Denver averages 19 points and 252.2 offensive yards per game. The Broncos rank near the bottom of the NFL in total offense, struggling to sustain drives and produce explosive gains.
J.K. Dobbins leads the rushing attack with 270 yards and two touchdowns. RJ Harvey has contributed 81 rushing yards and 163 receiving yards.
That backfield needs to produce more consistently.
Jaylen Waddle has caught 22 passes for 228 yards and one touchdown. His speed provides a downfield threat that Denver hasn’t utilized effectively enough.
Defensively, the Broncos allow 20.8 points per game. Their pass defense surrenders 208.5 yards per contest, but opponents have found more success running the football.
Denver allows 139.8 rushing yards per game. That weakness makes early-down tackling especially important against Arizona’s backfield.
Cornerback Pat Surtain II is questionable with an ankle injury. Running back Jonah Coleman and outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper were activated Saturday, giving Denver additional options.
That’s welcome reinforcement for the Broncos.
Safety Talanoa Hufanga is out, while Tyler Badie and Jonah Elliss were placed on injured reserve. Waddle practiced fully Friday and carries no final injury designation.
Broncos vs. Cardinals QB Matchup
Jacoby Brissett enters Week 7 with 1,328 passing yards through six games. He’s thrown nine touchdowns against six interceptions. His 66.7% completion rate reflects an ability to move the football despite Arizona’s inconsistent results.
Brissett threw for 218 yards against the Rams. Arizona struggled to finish its possessions, with the offense repeatedly settling for field goals.
That’s a costly habit against stronger opponents.
Brissett has developed a dependable connection with McBride. Their timing helps Arizona sustain longer possessions when defenses prevent explosive gains.
Bo Nix remains Denver’s starting quarterback. He’s thrown for 1,049 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions through six games.
Nix has completed 60.3% of his passes and averages 5.6 yards per attempt. His 79.4 passer rating reflects an offense still searching for efficiency.
He needs to start turning manageable throws into meaningful gains.

Nix faces an Arizona defense that has surrendered 23 touchdowns, the most in the NFL. The Cardinals also allow a league-worst 116.5 opposing passer rating, presenting Denver with opportunities that haven’t always been available.
Brissett must deal with a Broncos defense that has allowed opponents very little room through the air. Arizona will need patience and efficient execution when the field gets shorter.
The quarterbacks face different challenges. Nix has an opportunity to improve against vulnerable coverage, while Brissett must avoid forcing throws against a disciplined Denver secondary.
Denver Broncos vs. Arizona Cardinals bottom line: Denver has an opportunity to improve its passing efficiency, while Arizona needs sharper execution to capitalize on its offensive possessions.

- Also, the Cardinals have performed well against the spread as underdogs, achieving a 2-1 record in their last three regular-season games this year.

Broncos Cardinals Free Pick: Over 43.5
Here is my Broncos Cardinals free pick: Over 43.5. Denver has been winning without much offensive production, but Arizona is giving opponents every opportunity to score. This is the matchup where I expect Sean Payton to get more aggressive. The Cardinals have gone Over in three of their last four, and their defense has allowed far too many easy scoring chances. Denver doesn’t need to become a powerhouse overnight to take advantage.
Arizona can contribute, too.
I’m betting both offenses get enough favorable possessions to push this game into the high forties.
One early touchdown changes the pace considerably. If Denver gets ahead, Arizona has the passing weapons to respond rather than spend the afternoon playing cautiously. I want touchdowns, not another field-goal exhibition.
Give me Denver putting together its best offensive showing in weeks, with Arizona doing enough damage to help clear the number.
The play is Over 43.5
