This is a seriously interesting matchup that’s going to be tough to handicap. The 49ers are starting to look human as are they Chiefs both coming off losses.
The 9ers got had by the Falcons who are a frisky squad this year but still should not have won that game even despite the 49ers injuries. And the Chiefs got some things generated too little too late against the Bills in what was an incredibly underwhelming first half of football.
The 49ers are banged up and we all need to keep an eye on their injury situation this week but this is still an incredible team that has the player personnel and coaching staff to disrupt the Chiefs dynamic attack.
So without further ado let’s dig in.
Kansas City Chiefs
The public is heavily invested in the Chiefs early this week, per oddsshark.com 84% of the spread consensus is Chiefs -3.0. Now if you have been fading the public this year you have not been doing well which I love to see.
When I first got into this industry both as a profession and as a hobby I always thought that sentiment of “of fade the public because most people lose money gambling” was always flawed which is unrelated but wanted to dig my claws into those people quickly.
Now the Chiefs despite being 4-2 (which we are all surprised is their record) have looked unreal moving the ball as per usual. This is still the most unpredictable and creative offence in the NFL and that’s all there is to it.
Mahomes is the McDavid of football. Every single week he does something breathtaking that only he can do.
I did win the Bills -2.5 last week but it is not often I bet against this Chiefs team, it scares me.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have had a couple super mediocre games this season but in their quality games this offence and defence are things of beauty to watch. It makes you envious if you’re a fan of essentially most other teams.
When they are executing well and Kyle has command of his playsheet there isn’t a single team in the NFL they can’t beat including the Eagles, Bills or their opponent this week.
The issue for me this week is their injury report. They are pretty banged up right now and some crucial names are DNP this week including Trent Williams and Arik Armstead.
So if you’re 49ers backer keep an eye on that.
