Both teams are 1-0 after winning last week and will look to improve on what they saw in this game.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals last week by a score of 38-17. It did not matter that the backups played majority of this game because the offense was still electric. I look for a lot more of this as the preseason rolls on and certainly when the regular season is finally here.
Starting at quarterback, Chase Litton had the best day. He went 11 of 15 with 122 yards, two touchdowns an one interception. Next was Kyle Shurmur. He did not fair as well, going 6 of 15 with 77 yards an one touchdown. Next was Patrick Mahomes. Of course, Mahomes is the starter so he had very limited playing time. However, he went a perfect 4 of 4 with 66 yards.
For the rushing game, Josh Caldwell was really the only standout. He had 4 carries for 59 yards, one touchdown and his longest run was 47 yards. The Chiefs running game could take a hit this season, so it was nice to one of their guys step up. Despite his performance, the Chiefs recently waived Caldwell, which is very strange considering his contribution in week one.

Defensively the Chiefs played a complete game. They held the Bengals to 274 total yards. This includes just 21 yards on the ground. They also forced a total of three turnovers and held the Bengals to 7 of 15 from third down. Now taking on the Steelers, we will see if this defense can shut down a much more talented offense.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers hung on for a 30-28 win over Tampa Bay in week one of the preseason. There were highs and lows in this game, but it definitely has shown what needs to improve going forward.
Starting with the offense, 30 points is pretty good for a preseason game. When you consider that backups are playing most of the time, you have to feel confident about the second string guys. Mason Rudolph for one, had a pretty good day under center.
He went 5 of 8 with 91 yards and one touchdown. He is projected to be the next starting quarterback after Big Ben retires so it was good to see him get some snaps.
James Washington also made a huge impact catching the ball. He had 4 receptions for 84 yards and one touchdown. With Antonio Brown gone, the coaching staff has to love that a young guy like this can make plays. It is unclear if he will get significant time on the field, but he can now be considered a legitimate option.

Defensively is where the Steelers are going to need some help. They allowed 479 total yards to the Bucs. This is alarming and needs to improve now otherwise, it could be a long season for Pittsburgh. Most of these yards came through the passing which does not bode well for them given the Chiefs offensive scheme.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs -1.5
The Steelers defense looked terrible against the Buccaneers and I think they will struggle here as well. I like the Chiefs to continue scoring and move to 2-0 in the preseason.
NFL Free Preseason Score Prediction: Chiefs 28 – Steelers 17
The Chiefs are too good even with their backups and I like them to cover in this game.
