This week two matchup features two AFC West teams. This will be the second consecutive divisional game for the Raiders and they will not want to perform poorly.
Last season, the Chiefs swept the Raiders, going 2-0 against them.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs opened the season with a dominating 40-26 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. One huge concern for them is the health of Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes appeared to have hurt his ankle in this game and is already listed as questionable going forward.
Offensively, the Chiefs started this game right where they left off. Mahomes threw for 378 yards and had 3 touchdowns. He also had a completion percentage of 75.76%, which is extremely against a defense that was projected to be one of the best in the NFL.
The Chiefs recently picked up LeSean McCoy, who was released by Buffalo, and he has already made an impact in this Andy Reid offense. McCoy led the team with 81 yards on the ground an only carried the ball 10 times.
Another injury concern is Tyreek Hill, who had to leave the game with a collarbone injury. He is listed as out indefinitely, so there is no chance that he plays in the game against Oakland. Luckily, Sammy Watkins stepped up and had a monster game, racking up 198 receiving yards on 9 catches to go along with 3 touchdowns. As long as Hill is out, Watkins is sure to become the Chiefs number one target.
Some other stats from this game shows that the Chiefs were 1 of 3 in the red zone. This might not be much, but it is certainly something they need to improve on once they start facing better opponents.
Defensively, the Chiefs played better than most expected. They did allow 436 total yards, but they held Jacksonville to just 81 rushing yards. The main concern lies in their pass defense.
They allowed a back up quarterback to throw for 275 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interceptions. If they cannot contain a backup QB, what should we expect from them when they face an established starter?
The Raiders got a nice opening win over their AFC West rivals, Denver Broncos. The score to this game was 24-16, but the Raiders clearly controlled the game from start to finish.
The offense looked very sharp which was a little surprising given the whole Antonio Brown situation. They had a total of 357 yards. Derek Carr went 22 of 26 with 259 yards passing and 1 touchdown. He also did not throw an interception.
Rookie, Josh Jacobs had a big day to kick off his NFL career. He had 85 yards on 23 carries and had 2 touchdowns.
Tyrell Williams led the way in receiving with 105 yards and 1 touchdown on only 6 catches. Darren Waller also had a productive game, and had 70 yards on 7 catches.
Sunday Week 2 #NFL betting action we get the Kansas City #Chiefs vs. Oakland #Raiders. Line opened with the Chiefs a -9 favorite and the O/U at 53.5. Most books have it at Chiefs -7, and O/U at 53.5. What say you NFL Bettors?

The defense allowed 344 total yards but a lot of these yards came near the end of the game in a few chunk plays. They only allowed the Broncos to convert on 1 of their 4 red zone trips, so that is a positive takeaway as well.
Facing the Chiefs offense will be a much tougher test, so they will need to focus on getting pressure to Mahomes if they are going to have a chance.

Even with the injury concern to Patrick Mahomes, I could see a ton of points being scored in this ball game. Both defenses are not great, so I like the over to be the play here.
